(Final7Darkness)
Across the fleeting stars, sailing through the galaxy was a metal machine known as the Comet Observatory; home to Rosalina and the Lumas. Within the bedroom of the Comet Observatory, Rosalina slowly opened her eyes and found herself wide awake. She sat up, rubbed the sleep from her eyes and slowly climbed herself out of her bed. Taking a deep yawn, Rosalina made her way towards her bed side cabinet and picked up her star wand.
With a wave of her star wand above her head, tiny stars slowly showed down upon her and the moment the stars touched the floor, Rosalina was out of her bedroom clothes and into her garments. With a smile on her face, she made her way out of the bedroom and walked along the Comet Observatory, greeting good morning to all Lumas that she walk past. “Good morning” spoke a jolly voice. Rosalina looked towards the owner of the voice and found that it belongs to Polari. “Good morning to you to” said Rosalina back to the brown Luma.
“What shall we do today Rosalina?” asked Polari as he glided alongside Rosalina. “Well, I shall go to the Terrace and look out upon the stars” answered Rosalina as she smiled at Polari. “Hmm, as you are indeed...but this isn’t going to be about...” said Polari as he was finding the next few words hard to say. Rosalina stopped in her tracks, looked towards where the Terrace was on the Comet Observatory and said back, “I’m not going to let it upset me, not as much as last time”
“Hmm, very well...I shall tend to the Lumas then” said Polari as he saw her making her way to the Terrace.
When Rosalina entered the Terrace, the dome lit up and Rosalina can see the starry wallpaper with a castle silhouette. She looked across the dome and saw the small telescope. Rosalina slowly made her way towards it. With a wave of her star wand, she made a small chair for her sit on. As she sat down upon the chair, she looked through the telescope with one eye shut while the other open. With the telescope, she gazed upon the stars of the galaxies the Comet Observatory was orbiting round and one of the galaxies caught her eye.
She looked through the telescope and saw the galaxy that she remembers well. “Hmm...I wonder what Mario and the others are doing” said Rosalina to herself as she increased the view of the small telescope. She made it zoom right towards a famous planet, a planet that it known as the ‘Mushroom World’
She increased the view again which made her pass through the planet’s sky, the countries that the planet’s holds and stopped when she looked down upon the Mushroom Kingdom. She glances down across a familiar looking castle with a familiar looking stain glass; it was thus Princess Peach’s Castle. As she looked down upon the castle, she noticed that everywhere she could see, she saw there decorations and they weren’t any sort of decorations, they were Christmas Decorations.
Rosalina drew herself away from the telescope and as hard as she could, she tried not to cry, she shed only a tear which ran down her right check. “What’s the matter Mama?” asked a young voice. Rosalina looked over to the voice and saw that it was a yellow Luma. With her right hand, she whipped away the tear from check and smiled at the Luma; “Nothings a matter” she said. The Luma glide towards her and hugged Rosalina. Rosalina embraced the hug as she hugged the Luma back. “That’s good, we don’t like it when Mama cries” said the Luma as it was free from Rosalina.
Rosalina stood up as she saw the Luma leave the Terrace. She slowly made her way towards the entrance of the Terrace and stood upon its exterior and looked down upon the Lumas happily spending with each other. “Ah Rosalina, breakfast is ready” spoke a Hungry Luma as it glided towards her. Rosalina looked at the Luma and nodded. With that, she followed the Hungry Luma towards the kitchen. She and all the Lumas that live Comet Observatory all gathered within the kitchen, waiting for breakfast.
As soon as breakfast was all laid out, all of the Lumas sat down and began to eat. Rosalina sat down and she slowly ate her breakfast. The Lumas took note at this. “Mama, what seems to be the problem?” asked one of the Lumas. Rosalina didn’t answer the Luma as she was too focused in her deep thoughts. “Mama?” asked the same Luma again. This caused Rosalina to slowly look up from her plate and said, “Hmm?” “Mama, are you okay?” asked the same Luma again. “Oh yes, I am fine. Thanks for asking” answered Rosalina as she looked back at her plate.
During the whole meal, no one said a word as all the Lumas were all worried for Rosalina as she wasn’t her normal self. As soon as Rosalina finished her meal, she stood up from her seat, looked at the Hungry Luma said, “Thank you for breakfast” With that, she took a bow and left.
“Erm...what’s the matter with Mama?” asked one of the Lumas. All the Lumas suddenly began to talk at once, making it hard to sense as to what each on was trying to say. Polari coughed as loud as he could this caused all the Lumas to hush down and listen to him answer, “If you all must know, within one day from now is a special day from the home galaxy Mama came from” There was utter silence, none of the Lumas spoke a word as they all know what that day is.
“That’s right, on the 25th of December is Christmas” said Polari as he looked at all the Lumas. “Wha...what are we going to do?” asked one of the Lumas. “Shall I bake her Star Bit Cakes?” asked the Hungry Luma that made breakfast. “What’s Christmas?” asked one of the Lumas. “You don’t know what Christmas is” asked the Luma that sat next to the one that asked. The one that asked just shook. “It’s a day where everyone is all happy and everyone is all nice to one another” spoke one of the Lumas.
“It a day where even the most evilness of evils is nice” said another. “And that there’s this jolly white bearded man dressed in red breaks into people’s homes and nick all their stuff” said one of the Lumas at the far end. “No it isn’t!” yelled the Luma that next to the one that asked, “The jolly white bearded man dressed in red doesn’t break into people’s home and nick all their stuff, he leaves them presents underneath a tree”
“Presents? Oh you mean gifts right? But why does he give people presents?” asked one of the Lumas. “Its because he gives presents to those that are nice all year round and he gives coal to those that have been nasty all year round” answered another Luma.
Polari coughed again which caused all the Lumas to keep quiet. “Yes, Christmas does mean all that, but Christmas isn’t all about presents and being nice to each other” said Polari as he looked at all the Lumas. “Its not?” asked one of the Lumas. “No. Christmas is about being close with your loved ones” answered Polari. “Really?” asked the same Luma. “Yes” answered Polari. “Then why is Mama all sad then?” asked one of the Lumas.
“Even though she is going to be shrouded with us all who love her so much, she still feels lonely” answered Polari. Hearing that, made them all suddenly know what the reason why Rosalina acted the way she did. With that they all left to find Rosalina. Rosalina meanwhile was back in the Terrace, looking from the telescope. She looked mainly towards the Mushroom Kingdom. She looked away from the telescope and under her breath she said, “How I wish to be back at the Mushroom Kingdom for Christmas”
Just then, the sound a small bell ringing could be heard within the Terrace. “Hmm?” was all Rosalina said as she stood up from the chair she was sitting on. She looked at the starry wallpaper that was up on the walls, she saw that one of the stars was all glittery and was slowly growing larger. Then, with the sound of a small bell growing louder, Rosalina saw something bursting out of the wallpaper. Once it burst through, she saw that the thing went shooting throughout the Terrace and it bounced upon the walls which showed no sign of slowing down.
Rosalina looked at the wallpaper that thing burst through and saw that there wasn’t any rips on it. She suddenly looked at the thing that was till bouncing among the walls and saw that it was suddenly heading towards her. She held her hands out in front of her, getting ready to catch what ever the thing was and then, the moment of impact. She caught it in her bare hands. “Ouch” said Rosalina as the pain she got was only slightly hurts.
“Oh I’m seeing stars” spoke a voice that was within her hands. “Huh?” asked Rosalina as she slowly looked down upon the palms of her hands. She raised her hands closer towards her face to get a better look and saw that the thing that was holding was a small yellow star with a cute little face. “Oh hello” spoke the little star as it shook it self and looked directly towards her. “Erm...hi” said Rosalina as she saw that the little star flew off her hands and hovered above her head.
Rosalina looked at the little star as it twirling around above her as it was looking around the Terrace. “Wow...nice room you got here” said the little star as it turned itself to look down at Rosalina. Rosalina just looked at the little star with her mouth open as she still doesn’t make sense of what it is that she’s looking at. “Oh sorry, sorry where are my manners,” said the little star as it flew three inches away from Rosalina’s face, “My name is Twink. I’m a Star Child from the Star Summit”
“Oh...my name is Rosalina. Nice to meet Twink, Star Child of Star Summit” said Rosalina as she took a bow. “Erm please, please you don’t have to be so formal” said Twink as he blushed a little as she did that. “Okay, Twink” said Rosalina as she stood up and smiled at Twink. “Now then” said Twink as he flew above her head, “Guess you’re wondering on why I’m here” “It crossed my mind” said Rosalina as she looked up at him with her hands on her hips.
Twink then landed in-between Rosalina’s crown and said, “I’m here to grant you your wish” “Wish?” asked Rosalina as she was confused at what he said. “It’s like what I said,” answered Twink as he flew up from her crown and hovered an inch in front of her face, “I’m here to grant you your wish” Rosalina held out her hands and asked, “I understand that but why grant my wish?” Twink looked at her all confused and answered, “You know how long it took to track, to paretic where and when and send a Star Child to the Comet Observatory?” Rosalina just shook her head.
“Well, let’s just say that it took a really long time...” said Twink as he twirled within her hands, “But in the end it was worth it and you want to know why?” Twink said as he stopped twirling and pointed towards Rosalina. Rosalina nodded her head. “Because I can now grant that wish you hold dear to you” “Really?” asked Rosalina as she looked surprised. “Well...not me personally” said Twink as he flew off Rosalina’s hands.
“Huh? I thought you said that you were the one that was going to grant me my wish?” asked Rosalina as she looked at him flying towards the telescope. “I said that I will grant you your wish but I can’t grant the one that you really wish for” answered Twink as he looked through the telescope. “I’m sorry but if you can’t grant me my true wish....then who can?” asked Rosalina as she walked towards the telescope. “Now that would really ruin the surprise, but I can tell you that the person that can grant you the wish usually be on that world there” answered Twink as he moved away from the telescope.
Rosalina sat down and looked through the telescope and saw the world that Twink spoke of, which was the Mushroom World.
“You...you want me go there and find someone that will grant me my wish?” asked Rosalina as she looked away and looked at Twink, whom was just smiling at her. “Yes...well it is our job to grant those that have work hard good honest lives’ wishes” answered Twink. “Okay...so if I were to wish to go to the Mushroom World, what will become of Comet Observatory and all the Lumas?” asked Rosalina as she crossed her arms.
“Nothing” answered Twink. “Nothing, care to explain?” asked Rosalina as she gave him a serious look. “Its as how it sounds, nothing will happen here while you’re gone. It will go nowhere as within time of nothing and because it’s in nothing, no one will attack either” answered Twink. “So in other words,” said Rosalina as she stood up, “you’re stopping time” “Yep” said Twink as he flew towards an inch towards her. “You’ve ever done something like that before?” asked Rosalina as she let her arms down.
“Yep, in fact I did the same thing for a giant princess not so long ago” answered Twink as he gave a wink.
Rosalina took note to that and thought it would be best not to ask why he winked. “Okay, how long does this last for then?” asked Rosalina as she was drawing into doing the wish. “Well, the type of wish you wish for can only last till the end of Christmas” answered Twink. “Till the end of Christmas, that’s not long huh” said Rosalina as she began to think it over. Twink twilled around a while as he few towards her. He looked at Rosalina walked around the Terrace, think long and hard as to what was said.
Rosalina walked toward the telescope, sat down and looked through it. She saw the Mushroom World and she gave smile. “Very well,” said Rosalina as she looked away from the telescope and looked at Twink, “I wish that I was I was on the Mushroom World for Christmas” “Very well, your wish has been granted” said Twink as he began to twill again, but this time he began to twill really, really fast, making it hard to see him completely as he was just a yellow blur.
Just then, she saw that he was shinning off flashes of different colours which seem to spread throughout the Terrace. Rosalina looked at the walls of the room and saw that they were glowing in the seven colours of the rainbow. She looked back at Twink and saw that he was still twilling and flashing off colours. Rosalina poked her head out of the Terrace and saw that the colours were spreading all across the Comet Observatory. She saw that the Lumas that was caught in the colours seem to have stopped in time itself.
Rosalina looked back at Twink and saw that he stopped twilling. She noticed that the rainbow colours that he made were still in effect. Rosalina took one step outside the Terrace; she could hear the sound of her footsteps echoing through the silent Comet Observatory. “Hello?” echoed Rosalina’s voice. As her voice echoed out, the Comet Observatory remains silent. “You have nothing to fear, as time remains still till you return” said Twink as he flew up next to her.
“What now then?” asked Rosalina as she looked at him. “All you have to do now is close your eyes” answered Twink. “Close my eyes? Not going to use a Warp Star or anything?” asked Rosalina as she looked over to the nearest Warp Star. “Nope, now trust me” answered Twink. “Very well” said Rosalina as she closed her eyes. “Keep them closed” ordered Twink as he began to twill once more. “I am” said Rosalina, thinking that Twink would say something. But to her surprise, she didn’t hear his voice as all she heard was the sound of wind blowing.
Slowly Rosalina opened her eyes and saw that she was standing out in an open field. “Huh...Twink?” asked Rosalina as she looked left and right and saw no sigh of him anywhere. As she was looking left and right, Rosalina noticed that something was different then how she remembered the last time she was on the planet. “Something’s different” said Rosalina as she placed her right finger on her bottom lip. She began to wonder around the area, trying to see what’s different. As she was walking through, she stumbles across an area of small trees. Rosalina looked closely at the trees as she noticed that something was odd about them.
Rosalina knelt down to take a better look at the trees and before she could focus mainly on them, she heard the sound of young voices. “Oh boy, I wish it would snow on Christmas” said one voice. “Yeah me too” spoke another. Rosalina tried her hardest to see where the young voices came from. She just couldn’t find them anywhere. “Hay...” spoke one of the voice. Rosalina suddenly felt something bumping into her leg. “I don’t remember this blue rock thing being here” said the same voice.
Suddenly Rosalina knew as to where the voices came from. She slowly looked down as she saw that the two voices belong to two young children Toads. Rosalina was a giantess. The two Toads looked up and saw Rosalina looking down at them. In that moment, the two children began to scream as loud as their lungs allowed them to be and then, they ran off. “Hay wait a minute!” said Rosalina as she saw them running off.
But it was up to no good as the children just ran away from her. Rosalina watched them as they were out of her view. Rosalina slowly stood back up and looked down upon herself as she suddenly knew as to what was different.
“It isn’t this place that’s different...it’s me,” said Rosalina as she began to wonder through the area, “But I have to be sure” she said this as she noticed that the trees she was walking through were normal height. She looked out into the distance and saw a castle with a Princess Peach stain window. Rosalina crouching down so she was hidden by the trees slowly made her way towards the castle. Trying her hardest not to be seen and she noticed that there were many more Toads. All of which are small compared to her.
“It really is me...but...” said Rosalina as she was all confused as to why she’s a giantess. Remembering the last time she was a giantess, Rosalina took out her wand and twill it above her head. As she was twilling her wand, Rosalina notice that tiny stars weren’t falling down upon her as usual. “That...can’t be good” said Rosalina to her self. Just then at that moment she heard the sound of an elderly man’s voice say, “My word....what on the Mushroom Kingdom happened here?”
Rosalina slowly looked towards the direction of the voice and saw that it was an elderly Toad along with a human man looking a series of knocked over trees, which Rosalina accidently knocked over while wondering through the forest. “I wonder what caused this?” spoke a familiar voice. Rosalina looked over the human man and saw that he was wearing green top and hat along with a blue plumber suit. “Luigi?” asked Rosalina as she leaned a little closer so that she could see better.
As she was leaning, she accidently knocked into a tree, which of course fell over. This caused the two to look over to where the tree fell. “Oh my...” said the elderly Toad as he looked on with an open mouth. “Erm...hi” was all Rosalina said as she gave them a little wave. “Mama Mia” said the man as he and the elderly Toad slowly walked towards Rosalina. “Its nice to see you again Luigi” said Rosalina as she smiled down upon the man whom now stood a foot away from her.
“Luigi, care to introduce us?” asked the elderly Toad as he looked at the man, Luigi and then looked up at Rosalina. “What oh,” said Luigi as he shook his head, “Toadsworth, Rosalina, Rosalina, Toadsworth” “Nice to meet you Rosalina, though...the name sounds familiar” said Toadsworth as he smiled up upon Rosalina. “You remember she’s the one that helped Mario save the princess when Bowser kidnapped her and went into space” said Luigi.
“Oh so you’re THE Rosalina” said Toadsworth. “Yes” said Rosalina as she smiled down up them. “How come you’re here? What became of the Comet Observatory and the Lumas” asked Luigi. Rosalina had a confused look on her face as she told him everything that happened.
“Really? You’re here in search of someone that can grant wishes?” said Toadsworth. Rosalina just nodded. Luigi took note that Rosalina had a confused look for a while and asked, “What’s the matter?” Rosalina looked at him and answered, “Well, it’s the fact that you two aren’t surprised at seeing a giantess” “Oh that?” asked Toadsworth as he laughed a little. “What is it?” asked Rosalina as she looked at him. “It’s that that, we tend to have visits of Princess Peach’s friend every now and then” answered Luigi. “Let me guess, she’s a giant princess right” said Rosalina. “Yeah” said the two of them at the same time.
“Well then, we can’t have you out here all alone. I believe that it’s best that you come join us” said Toadsworth as he looked over his shoulder. “Join you both? In what?” asked Rosalina as she looked confused at the two. “Why we were going to get a Christmas tree for the castle and decorate it” answered Luigi. “Really? Then I love to join you guys” said Rosalina as she stood up straight. As she stood up tall, she found that she couldn’t see the two of them, so she crouches down a little. With that she was able to see them.
With that, Rosalina followed Toadsworth and Luigi as they walked through the forest. As they were walking through the forest, Rosalina noticed that the trees were taller, the deeper they went, the higher up they become to her. The trees suddenly stood above her, Rosalina stood up straight once more. “What’s with this forest?” asked Rosalina as she looked high as far as she could see and see the sky anymore. Toadsworth looked up to her and answered, “Why this is known as the Seven Season Forest”
“Seven Season Forest? I thought that was just a fairy tale” said Rosalina as she looked down at him. “Oh no, this place is real all right. What makes this place seem like a fairy tale is the fact that it only appears during one of the seven seasons” said Toadsworth as he looked back forward. “Really?” was all Rosalina could say. The three of them carried on walking till they came all stopped in a series of Christmas trees.
“What now?” asked Rosalina as she knelt down to get a better look at the trees. “Now,” said Toadsworth as he began to walk towards the trees, “We just need to pick a tree that’s right for the castle” Rosalina looked out in the far distance and saw that there were Christmas trees which bigger than the next. The farthest being the tallest. “Who would want those trees then?” asked Rosalina as she slowly looked down at Toadsworth and Luigi. “What, oh those trees are for the giants of Giant Land” answered Toadsworth as he looked at the trees that would like to pick. “Didn’t think that they would be that big” said Rosalina as she looked back at the farthest Christmas trees.
“They’re not that big, the trees they get are the ones that are next to the one we’re allowed to take” said Luigi as he pointed to a set of tree that were a few rows down from them. “What?” asked Rosalina as she looked down at Luigi, “Then, whom does those tallest trees belong to then?” “That I’m afraid I do not know” answered Toadsworth. “Really?” asked Rosalina as she looked at him. Toadsworth stopped in front of a tree and nodded.
“You found one then?” asked Luigi as he walked over to the tree that he was looking at. “Yep, this one will do” answered Toadsworth as he held his canine towards the tree. Rosalina just watched on as she heard the sound of wood being cut by a saw echoed through out the forest. To her surprise, she saw the tree slowly leaning towards Luigi as he held it. She watched on and saw that Luigi was having trouble holding it up. “Here, allow me” said Rosalina as she knelt down and gently picked the Christmas tree up.
“Thank you” said Luigi as he looked up at her as she held out her free hand towards them. “Please, I believe that it would be easier this way” said Rosalina as she smiled at the two of them. The two of them nodded as they climbed onto her open palm. Rosalina slowly stood back up straight and headed back towards where they came. As she was walking her way back, she noticed that the trees around her were slowly fading away.
She stopped in her tracks and looked on at the trees till they were completely gone. “Huh wha?” was all Rosalina could say as she looked around her in confusion. She and the others were within an open field. “Told you didn’t I?” asked Toadsworth as he laughed a little. “Yeah...” was all Rosalina could answer back. With that Rosalina carried on walking towards Peach’s Castle. As soon as she made it to the castle, she saw many Toads looking up at her, some of them were shocked upon seeing her while others just acted as if it was an everyday event.
Rosalina knelt down and let Toadsworth and Luigi off. Once they were off, Rosalina placed the Christmas tree standing up straight next to Luigi. The Toads around them gathered round the tree and lifted it up. They all entered the castle. “Hmm, best stay here and let me inform the princess that you’re here” said Toadsworth as he smiled at Rosalina. “Okay” said Rosalina as she nodded her head. With that Toadsworth entered the castle, Luigi stayed behind and kept Rosalina company till Peach and Mario arrived outside.
“Well I be” said Mario as he was surprised to see Rosalina again. “It’s so nice to see you again Mario” said Rosalina back as she smiled down at him. Peach coughed a little. “It’s also nice to see you as well Peach” said Rosalina as she bowed. “Nice surprise to see you again Rosalina but what’s with you being a giantess?” asked Peach as she walked towards her. With that Rosalina began to tell Mario and Peach everything that happen.
“Your wish huh?” asked Mario as he began to think over what has been said. “Ah I believe I know who might be able to help you” said Peach as she eyes lit up. “Really who?” asked Rosalina as she looked at her with excitement. “The answer to that is simple,” said Peach as she smiled at upwards at her, “You need to go to bed?” asked Rosalina as she looked at her confused. “Yep, when you do, you’ll get the idea” answered Peach.
“Well...it’s still too early to go to bed” said Rosalina as she looked up at the sky and saw the sun was still up. “Well then, do you wish to help us till bed time then?” asked Peach. “Help with what?” asked Rosalina. “Why helping out with the decorations of course” answered Peach. “Decorations? I thought you were done putting them up?” asked Rosalina as she looked at the castle and saw plenty of Christmas Decorations hanging.
“Yeah but we got far more that needs to be put up,” answered Peach as she turned round and headed towards the castle, “Come on in” “I don’t think that I would be able to go inside” said Rosalina as she saw her walking inside the castle. “Trust me, just come on in” said Peach as she looked over her shoulder. “Okay, if you’re sure” said Rosalina as she crawled her way through the entrance. Once through, she found herself in a hallway that was big enough for her stand in.
“Wow...didn’t expect it to be this roomy” said Rosalina as she walked down the hallway, along side Peach. “Well, at this time of year we have visits of people of all sizes, mainly bigger ones we have coming here” said Peach as she looked up at Rosalina. “So how are you able to make it so roomy?” asked Rosalina as she looked down at Peach. “You can thank Professor E. Gadd for that” answered Peach. “Huh, how did he do all this then?” asked Rosalina as she looked ahead and saw that it was still big enough for her to walk through.
“He was able to create a device that can alter the space of any room, for example he could make the smallest room of a house to be size of that one would see in mansions but to the outside everything remains the same. So the house doesn't change as it remains the same” answered Peach. “That sounds kinder like a blue box I head from some sort of television show that Mario speaks about” said Rosalina as she looked at Peach confused. Peach scratch the back of her head and said, “That’s what I said when he first explained it to me”
The two of them giggled.
Rosalina looked upon the walls of the hallways that they were walking through and found that decorations were up. “So where the decorations that you want me to do?” asked Rosalina as she looked back down at Peach. Peach stopped walking, which caused Rosalina to stop as well as she said, “You see the ceilings” Rosalina looked upon the ceilings, “Yeah” she said. “How would you feel of putting mistletoes up through out the hallways?” asked Peach.
“Well if what you say is true then I got time to waste” answered Rosalina as she smiled down upon Peach. “Thank you, ah here comes the mistletoes” said Peach as she smiled back as she saw a coupe of Toads pulling a wooden crate which was filled with mistletoes. “Might as well begin” said Rosalina as she took out her wand. With a wave, the crate of mistletoes covered in a sheet of glittering stars and began to hover in the air. With another wave, the crate hovered towards Rosalina face.
With that Rosalina spent the whole day, using the magic of her wand let the mistletoes hung upon the ceilings.
The sun has set and the winter breeze began to blow through out the Mushroom Kingdom. “Hay you done a nice job” said Mario as he saw the hard work that Rosalina had done. “Thank you Mario” said Rosalina as she sat down with the hallway they were in. “Looking good, looking good” said Peach as she loved what Rosalina have done. “Thanks” said Rosalina as she took a deep yawn. “Well then, it looks like that you’re ready for bed” said Peach as she smiled at Mario and then Rosalina.
“So what is it that I’m supposed to do then? Just sleep like normal?” asked Rosalina as she slowly climbed onto her feet. “Pretty much, you will know what I’m talking about soon enough” answered Peach as she saw Rosalina standing up straight. “Will you show me a place for me to sleep?” asked Rosalina as she looked at Peach. “Of course, please follow me” answered Peach as she led the way. Rosalina followed Peach till she led her to a giant door.
“This is where you will be sleeping” said Peach as she looked up at Rosalina as she opened the giant door. As Rosalina opened the door, she saw that the room looked just like hers back at the Comet Observatory. “Thank you for letting me sleep here” said Rosalina as she entered the room and sat down upon the bed. “No problem, I hope that you get your wish” said Peach as she left the room. Rosalina looked around the room and she just couldn’t get over the fact that it looked just like her own room. She stood up, closed the door and took out her wand.
With a wave of her star wand above her head, tiny stars slowly showed down upon her and the moment the stars touched the floor, Rosalina was out of her garments and into her bedroom clothes. She placed her wand on a bedside cabinet and went to bed. She turned off the lights and closed her eyes. Rosalina drifted off to sleep.
Hours have pass since Rosalina went to bed. Rosalina was peacefully asleep, which didn’t last very long when the sound of someone knocking onto a window echoed through out the room. Rosalina opened her and began to the scan the window to see who it was. She got out of bed and made her way towards the window and she could see a face looking through. Rosalina was startled at first. She moved towards the window and opened it.
“Well about time you woke up” spoke the person that was knocking onto the window. Rosalina saw that it was a woman dressed in a Santa outfit; she even noticed that the woman was a giantess as she looked down and saw that the room was on the third floor. “Sorry about that, I a heavy sleeper” said Rosalina as she smiled at the woman. “That’s okay; I’m on free time anyway. So come on Rosalina get dressed” said the woman as she smiled at Rosalina.
“Huh? How did you know my name?” asked Rosalina as she looked at her confused. “Because you’ve on the Nice List for a long time and it’s really been hard to find you” answered the woman. “I’m sorry but when you say Nice List...you don’t mean?” asked Rosalina as she suddenly had an idea as to who might help her. “Yep, I’m here to take you to see Father Christmas” answered the woman as she crossed her arms.
“Sandi Clause? I’m going to meet Sandi Clause?” asked Rosalina as she just couldn’t believe what she just heard. “You heard me right, come on. Best see him in the night rather than morning” answered the woman as she walked towards the window. “Okay, hold on a minute” said Rosalina as she rushed towards the bedside cabinet and grabbed hold of her wand. With a wave of her star wand above her head, tiny stars slowly showed down upon her and the moment the stars touched the floor, Rosalina was out of her bedroom clothes and into a Santa outfit that matched the woman’s outfit.
“Nice choice of clothes, now then we must dash” said the woman as she leaned onto the window shelf. “Okay” said Rosalina as she waved her star wand above her head, tiny stars slowly showed down upon her and the moment the stars touched the floor, Rosalina, vanished from the room and stood right next to the woman. “The name’s Apple by the way” said the woman as she smiled at Rosalina. “Nice to meet you Apple” said Rosalina as she smiled back.
“Now then, please follow me” said Apple as she led the way. “Hold a minute” said Rosalina as she held her star wand above her head, she waved it and tiny stars slowly showed down upon her and Apple’s heads the moment the stars touched the floor, the two of them began to float off the ground. “Hay, this reminds me of a song my sister once told me” said Apple as she saw how her feet were dangling off the ground. “How does it go?” asked Rosalina as Apple took the lead. The two flew higher up into the sky and headed north.
“I believe that it goes something like that this” said Apple as she took a deep breath.
“We’re walking in air; we’re floating in the Moonlit sky”
The two of them were flying over a small village, the two of them looked down and Apple carried,
“The people far below are sleeping as we fly”
Apple saw that Rosalina was falling behind; she reached out her hand for her which she grabbed,
“I’m holding very tight”
They flew either higher up,
“I’m riding in the midnight blue, I’m finding I can fly, so high above with you”
They flew across villages, towns and cities,
“Far across the world. The villages go by like trees”
They flew across the open land,
“The river and the hills, the forests and the streams”
They saw a set of children Toads still awake looking up at them,
“Children gaze open mouth, taken by surprise”
They flew past as the children rubbed their eyes,
“Nobody down below believes their eyes”
They’re now flying across high above the vast ocean,
“We’re surfing in the air; we’re swimming in the frozen sky”
The ocean passed and were flying across a set snow covered mountains,
“We’re drifting over icy mountains floating by”
Apple stopped singing. “Why did you stop?” asked Rosalina as she was enjoying the song. Apple looked at Rosalina and answered; “Because we’re here” She said this as she smiled. “Really?” asked Rosalina as she looked ahead. What she saw was huge wooden like building with a ramp along with Christmas lights all decorations all over. “Welcome to Santa’s Grotto” said Apple as she landed onto the ground. Once Rosalina landed, Apple let her hand go. “So...where is Sandi Clauses?” asked Rosalina as she looked at the grotto and saw that she was a head taller than the building.
Just then, the two of them saw someone standing up the ramp of the grotto waving at them.
Rosalina looked over and that it was a jolly looking man that wore all red wholly suit, a hat with same colour with a long white beard. “Sandi Clauses?” asked Rosalina as she made her way towards the ramp. “Ho, ho, ho, ho!” laughed the man as Rosalina made it next to the ramp and knelt down to her kneels so that she could see him better. “It is you” said Rosalina as she smiled at the man known as Father Christmas. “Yes, it is I Santa Clauses and I heard from a little friend that you want something” laughed Santa.
Rosalina blushed a little and said, “Yes...will I be able to?” “Of course you can, after all it is A Christmas Wish that you want granted” said Santa as he took a step towards the edge of the ramp. Rosalina smiled even more. “Go on Rosalina, make your wish” said Apple as she patted Rosalina on the back.
“I wish...I wish I could one last time with Mama an Papa”
As she said that, a large door suddenly appeared next to Rosalina. “Huh?” asked Rosalina as she looked at the door. “Go on, open the door” said Santa as he saw Rosalina slowly stood up. Rosalina looked at Santa and then at Apple. Rosalina nodded her head as she moved towards the door and opened it. Once opened, a guest of wind blew out from the inside of the door and a bright white light shined from within. She covered her eyes for only a moment and when she looked back, she could see two silhouettes deep within the light.
“Mama...Papa” said Rosalina as she took a foot inside. The moment that she that, she suddenly turned into a young girl. Rosalina looked down all confused but shook it off as she smiled back at Santa and Apple. With that Rosalina turned round and ran towards the silhouettes which were her parents. The door slowly closed behind her.
Suddenly the sound of birds singing echoed throughout the area, Rosalina opened her eyes and found herself back in her room of Peach’s Castle. She sat up all confused. “Was any of that real?” asked Rosalina to herself. She looked down at herself and saw that she was still wearing the Santa outfit. “Okay...” said Rosalina as she climbed off the bed and walked towards the window. As she stood in front of the window and looked outside. She saw that it snowing. “Guess those kids got their wish” said Rosalina to herself as she remembered what the two Toad children said when she was in the Seven Season Forest.
“You also had you wish granted” spoke a familiar voice towards the entrance of the room. Rosalina looked over and saw that it was Apple and that she was still in her Santa outfit. “So that was real” said Rosalina as she suddenly remembered the night before. “It was all real and there one more thing I need to give you” said Apple as she walked towards her with her hands behind her back. “Oh please you shouldn’t had, you and Sandi Clauses already given me enough” said Rosalina as she placed her hands over her chest as tears were running down her checks. “Trust me, you want to open this,” said Apple as she placed her arms in front of her.
Rosalina looked at her hands and saw that she was holding a white Christmas present which was wrapped in blue ribbons. Rosalina took the present and was about to pull the ribbons off. “You better open it when the others about to open theirs” said Apple. Rosalina looked at Apple whom just smiled at her. “Oh okay then” said Rosalina as she saw Apple turned round and headed on out of the room. “Where are you going?” asked Rosalina as she soon as Apple was out the door.
Apple looked over her shoulder and answered, “Why I’m going to the guest room” “You’re staying here?” asked Rosalina. “Of course, all of Peach’s friends are staying here for Christmas” answered Apple as she smiled at her. Just then, the sound of Peach’s voice spoke below them, “I see that you both are up” The two of them looked down and smiled at her. “Is everything ready?” asked Apple. “Yep, so please come and join me and the others” answered Peach as she looked up at the two.
“Come on Rosalina” said Apple as she looked at Rosalina. Rosalina nodded as she followed the two of them. They all entered the grand hall. Rosalina saw that there was a bunch of characters she never met before. “Merry Christmas everyone” said Peach as she walked towards them and greeted each and everyone. Once greeted, Peach walked towards the Christmas tree that Toadsworth and Luigi got and knelt down to look at the presents that was underneath it.
She picked them up one by one and handed them over to the ones that they belong to. Once everyone has a present in hand, Peach told them that they can open them. Once opened, they all had the face of joy. Everyone looked towards Rosalina and saw that she hasn’t opened her present. Taking note of this Rosalina pulled the blue ribbon off and the lid of the present burst open. Everyone looked on and saw that it was the Lumas that was on the Comet Observatory.
“Wha....what are you all doing here?” asked Rosalina as she looked at all Lumas that was swarming around her. “Mama...how did you get so big?” asked all of the Lumas at once. “They’re all here because of you” spoke a familiar voice. Rosalina tried to see where the voice came from and saw that it was a tiny yellow star. “Twink?” asked Rosalina. “Of course, what kind of family wouldn’t spend time together over Christmas” said Twink as he hovered in front of her face.
Upon hearing that made Rosalina smile. “Thank you Twink, thank you Apple and thank you all” said Rosalina as she looked at everyone that was in the grand hall. “You don’t have to worry about the Comet Observatory, its still safe” said Polari as he flew towards Rosalina’s face. “Then we get to spend Christmas with everyone” said Rosalina as she smiled towards Twink. Twink nodded. With that everyone cheered and sayings marry Christmas to everyone once more.
“Hay lets have a snowball fight!” suggested one of the Toads that was in the grand hall. “Yeah, sound like fun” said Peach as she looked at everyone. With that they all exit the castle and looked out upon the freshly layer of snow. Before everyone began their snowball fight, they all looked up into the sky as if they could see people looking down or rather reading them and they all said at once as load as they could,
“MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!”
