Act 1- The Bizarre Flower
“Yawn!” said Apple as she herself woke up from her sleep. Apple slowly sat herself up on her bed, rubbed her eyes to remove the sleep and opened them. “Up and ready for a new day” said Apple to herself as she slowly got herself out of bed and made her way towards the closed curtains. Once she reached the curtains, she opened them and pushed the windows open. Apple then leaned against the windowsill and looked out at the beauty that Giant Land has to offer.
She took in a deep breath of the morning air, looked up and saw a swarm of birds flying across the blue sky. “Oh what a glorious day this shall be” said Apple with a smile as she looked at landmarks. She slowly looked over towards Giant Land’s Royal Garden and her smile turned sour. What she saw was that the garden had over grown plants sprouting all over the place. It made the garden look dirty.
Apple stood back up, shook her head and said to herself, “Well that’s not good”
“What’s not good?” spoke a familiar voice. Apple turned her head over to the entrance of the room and saw that it was her husband, Prince Hugo whom was standing at the doorway. Apple looked back over to the Royal Garden and answered, “It’s the Royal Garden” Hugo walked next to his wife and looked at the Royal Garden and saw the state that it was in. “How did we let something so beautiful full into such a disgrace?” asked Apple as she slowly looked back at Hugo.
“Well you know full well that we’ve been busy lately, with the events that Bowser and his children have caused” answered Hugo. “And for that we let the Royal Garden grow in such a state?” asked Apple as she has the sound of annoyance in her voice. “You know that we’re still cleaning up Bowser’s mess?” asked Hugo as he gave her a confused look. “Yeah I know…I know. It’s just that I would have thought that someone would have done some gardening during those times” answered Apple.
“Well…if you like I can get a few people to get started with gardening” offered Hugo as he looked out at the Royal Garden. “Oh no, no, no,” Apple said hastily as she shook her hands, “I know that everyone here is busy with their own thing. I brought it up so I shall do the gardening” Hugo looked at his wife with a concern look on his face. “What?” asked Apple as she tilted her head sideways. “Don’t mean to sound rude and all but…” answered Hugo as he starched his right check, “Erm, do you even know how to do gardening?”
“My how rude, just to let you know that I did some gardening with my grandmother when I was little girl” said Apple. “Are you sure that you really want to the gardening?” asked Hugo again. Apple looked back at the garden and answered, “And as I just said that I want to do the gardening…though…” Apple paused for a moment before she said; “I can’t do it all alone” She slowly looked over to Hugo and gave him a weak smile. “Right…so what are you going to do about that?” asked Hugo as he gave her a confused look.
“The only thing that I know” answered Apple as her eyes lit up as she thought of something.
The following day,
Over at Mushroom Kingdom, flying across the kingdom’s dawn sky flew a lone cyan Paratroopa with a mail bag strapped on his shell back. The Paratroopa was having trouble flying to the weight that his Mail bag has contained. Truth is told that within the mail bag isn’t many letters but rather only one letter. One letter that was big, very, very big that if it was left with nothing done to it then it would have been impossible for the Paratroopa to carry the letter within his mail bag. So in the end that the letter had to be folded over and over again till it could fit within.
Once the Paratroopa reached his destination, which is Princess Peach’s Castle, he landed on the castle’s front doors and began to knock. The doors slowly opened inward, one of the castle Toad servants greeted the Paratroopa. “Letter for the Princess of Mushroom Kingdom” said the Paratroopa as he was breathing heavily. “Are you okay?” asked the Toad as he saw the Paratroopa opening his mail bag. “Yes…fine…” he answered as he took the bag off. The Toad looked at him confused as to why he did that.
“Wha…” was all the Toad said as he saw what Paratroopa was pulling out from the bag. “A letter for the princess” said the Paratroopa as he handed the folded up envelope to the Toad. Once handed over, the envelope was slowly unfolding. With that the Paratroopa flew off, leaving the Toad with the envelope The Toad as fast as he could make it but due to the weight of it made it hard for him to reach the room where Peach is. He ran through the hallways, each one had a few Toad servants looking at him with confusion. He searched high and low in finding where the princess was. As he was searching, the folded up envelope was slowly unfolding making it even harder for the Toad to carry.
After what seemed to him to be hours where in fact it was only twenty minutes, the Toad finally found the princess whom was outside in the garden, sitting on a bench next to a water fountain. Peach didn’t notice the Toad with the envelope, whom was now dragging the envelope, towards her. Peach slowly stood up and made her way towards the Toad. When the Toad saw that the princess was heading towards him, he stopped in his tracks and was breathing heavily. “Wow…that’s a big envelope” said Peach as she stopped right in front of him and patted his left shoulder.
The Toad looked up at her and just nodded. “Now then…I have a good idea on who sent me this” said Peach as she helped the Toad lower the big envelope down onto the floor and straight it out. With that said, Peach and the toad stood on top of the envelope and opened it. Once it was opened Peach was expecting to see a letter inside it but she couldn’t see anything. “Huh?” was all the princess could see say as she lifted up envelope as high as she could to see if there was anything inside.
“Allow me princess” said the toad that helped her as he climbed inside the giant envelope. “See anything?” asked Peach as she was still holding the entrance of the envelope open, as the toad was crawled deeper inside. “Nothing yet,” answered the toad as he looked left to right and saw nothing until he spots something on the corner of his eyes, “…ah found something” “Really? What is it?” asked Peach as the toad was crawling back out of the envelope. “It’s a normal size letter” answered the toad as he poked his head out of the envelope. “A normal size…a normal size letter?” was all Peach could say as the toad stood out of the envelope and handed her the letter.
Peach took the letter, walked back to the bench she was just sitting on and began reading.
Dear Peach,
How are you? Me and the rest of the citizens of Giant Land are pretty busy clearing up the mess that Bowser and his minions have caused. Though with how busy is has become over here, I noticed how poorly looked after the royal garden is and what it has become due to it becoming in such a state. I’ve decided to do some gardening and I know that it’s not going to be easy and there’s nobody else left within the castle can help me. So you see where I’m going with this?
Peach, would you please, pretty please help me with the gardening? It would really help me out a lot.

Sorry about sending one of our giant envelopes instead of normal sized ones for my letter. We’ve just run out of them and only the giant ones were left. Hope it didn’t cause any problems.
Peach lowered the letter and looked at the giant envelope. She saw that it was being folded up and dragged away by a group of toads. The princess chuckled a little to herself as she looked back at the letter. “Hmm, so Apple wants my help. Don’t know what good I could do at my size over there…” she lowered the letter, looked up at the sky and closed her eyes, “But how could I say no to a friend?” “Princess?” asked the toad that brought her the letter came back.
“Ah perfect timing” said the princess as she opened her eyes and looked at the toad, “Best get a piece of paper and a pen” “Hmm…are you writing a letter?” asked the toad. Peach just nodded. With that the toad left the garden to gather the things that she asked for and returned after a few minutes. “Thank you” said Peach as she took the items that the toad gave her. “Anything else princess?” asked the toad. “No that is all” answered Peach as she looked at him with a smile. “As you wish” said the toad as he took a bow and left her, allowing her to write a letter in peace.
Meanwhile over at the kingdom of Sarasaland,
“Yawn!” said Daisy as she woke up with only her left eye open and rubbing the other. She slowly climbed out of bed and made her way towards the window of her room and opened it wide. She then looked out at the scenery that her kingdom has to offer her. Just then, as she was looking out, she spotted something in the sky heading towards her. “Hmm?” was all the Sarasaland princess could say as she saw what it was that was heading towards her. It was a red Paratroopa with a mail bag strapped on his shell back. She noticed that it was having trouble keeping afloat. As soon as the Paratroopa reached Daisy’s window, he went for his bag and pulled out what Daisy could tell a thick pile of paper. He handed it over to her and wished her for a lovely day before flying off.
“Huh…what’s this about then?” asked Daisy as she looked at the pile of paper in hand and saw that it wasn’t a pile of paper but rather they were all connected together as it was all folded over. “What this?” asked Daisy to herself as she began to unfold the thing. Once done, she saw that it was a giant envelope as it covered the whole of her bedroom floor. “I can pretty much tell who sent this to me” laughed Daisy as she shook her head and made her way into opening the envelope.
The following morning, over at the outskirt of Giant Land,
It has been over twenty four hours since Peach receive Apple’s letter; Peach opened her eyes and took a deep breath of the morning sea. She looked around the area she was in, which was a cruise ship. She looked over at the open window and saw the saw the morning sky with birds flying off into the distance. Peach slowly made her way out of her bed and made her way towards the window. Once she made it there, she poked her head out and looked at the waves of the ocean that the cruise ship was sailing on. “Land ho!” shouted a male voice which echoed through the ship. Peach looked out into the distance and saw land.
Just then, there was a knock on the bedroom door,
The princess looked over the door and instructed the person on the other side to enter. Once the door swung open, Peach saw a toad wearing a sailor suit taking a step inside the room. He took a bow and said, “We’re arriving at Giant land within moments princess” “Thank you…though I kinder heard that from outside” said Peach. “Ah sorry, did he wake you up with his shouting?” asked the toad as he looked at her worried. “No, no, its fine, I was up before he shouted” answered Peach as she shook her head. “Ah that’s good, okay I leave you be” said the toad as he left the room. Peach got herself dressed and got her things ready as the toad said; the cruise ship was now porting.
Once the cruise ship has ported and the draw bridge allowed its passengers to leave, Peach with her things stood by the port bay of Giant Land. As Peach stood there, she spotted one of the servants that work in Giant Land’s castle. She saw that it was one of the human size servants. Peach looked at the servant as she was heading towards her. “Ah Princess Peach, glad to see that you are well” said the servant as she picked up Peach’s things. “Thank you” said Peach as she looked at her as she saw that she was heading towards a black car. Peach followed her to car. Once the servant placed her things inside the boot of the car, she opened the door for Peach to enter. Once inside, the servant entered the car and began to drive off.
“So how was the trip?” asked the servant as she drove onto the main path towards Giant Land’s Castle. “It was nice, though how are things here in Giant Land? I haven’t heard from Apple in some time” answered Peach as she looked out of the car window. She could still see the port and the cruise ship that she was just on. “I take it that you haven’t heard?” asked the servant. “Well all I know is that Bowser was doing something over here and caused a big mess. It got so bad that the Royal Garden hasn’t been cared for” answered Peach. “Yeah…I regret to admit about that. We’re still so busy with other things that we’re had to ask the Mushroom Princess to help out” said the servant as she could see Giant Land’s Castle in sight.
“It’s okay, I was looking for an excuse to see Apple anyway” said Peach as she could see the castle. “I’m sure Princess Apple will be happy to hear that” said the servant as they were within moments arriving at the castle. “We’re now here princess” said the servant as she was pulling the car over at the front gates of the castle. Once parked, she got out of the car and opened the door for Peach. Once Peach got outside, she suddenly looked up and saw one of the giant servants whom walked up towards the car. “Greetings Princess Peach” said the towering servant as she took a bow. “Thank you” said Peach as she smiled up at the servant.
The servant stood back up and looked over her left shoulder and nodded at another giant servant whom was with her. The one that she nodded to nodded back and left by entering the castle. “Princess Apple shall be informed about your arrival” said the servant as she looked back down at Peach. “Thanks, let me get my things and…” said Peach but was cut off by the servant that brought her by car, “It’s okay, I shall place them in the guest room” “Oh,” said Peach as she looked at her and then slowly looked up at the giant servant, “Then I go and see her then” “Please follow me to the throne room” said the giant servant as she turned around and slowly walked at a pace that Peach could keep up with.
As Peach was following the giant servant, she noticed that nearly every servant were busy with either building things like walls or clearing up mess.
Apple was outside within the Royal Garden looking at the state it become. “Ah princess” spoke the servant that was sent to find her. Apple looked at the one that spoke and said, “Yes, what is it?” “You’ve got a guest waiting for you in the throne room” answered the servant. “A guest?” said Apple as she looked at her in confusion. With that she stopped what she was doing and made her way towards the throne room. As soon as she entered the room she saw the guest and looked at her with a smile on her face. “Long time no sees” said the guest as she looked up at the giant princess with smile. “Yes indeed. Glad that you could make it” said Apple as she made her way towards the throne and sat down. She then looked at the guest whom was Peach.
“Glad to make it, so am I the only one that you invited?” asked Peach as she looked up at the giant princess. “No, I did invite another but I wonder why she’s not here yet?” answered Apple. “Really? Who else is coming” asked Peach. “Now why should I ruin the surprise” answered Apple as she smiled down at her. “Okay then…then what shall we do before this person arrive then?” asked the mushroom princess. “Well I could show you how the Royal Garden is” answered Apple as she slowly leaned forward from her throne. “Sure, sounds like a plan” said Peach as she saw Apple reaching out her hand for her climb on. Once on, Apple stood up from her throne and made her out of the room.
“So just how bad the garden is anyhow?” asked Peach as she sat down within the palm of Apple’s hand. Apple looked down and answered, “Well it’s pretty bad. After with all the trouble that Bowser caused with his latest evil plot, left all the servants swamped with the clearing mess that he left behind in its wake. Well I saw the state the Royal Garden was in with the lack of care, so it pretty bad…if you would like to take a look” said Apple as she just got outside. Peach looked at where they are and noticed it was dark as if the sky was covered in rain clouds. She slowly looked up expecting to see clouds but all she saw was branches, vines and even weeds grown all out of place. They covered over patches of the garden, making out as it they were roofs.
Peach slowly looked down onto the ground and saw how tall the grass was. She even saw stinging nettles scattered all throughout the ground. “Wow…” said Peach as Apple slowly lowered herself down onto the ground to let her hop offs her hand. Peach stood there shocked at how tall a single grass towers over her, making her feel small, really small. “Wow…this kinder reminds me of that time with Captain Olimar and his Pikmin friends back at my own garden” said Peach as she began to wonder through the towering grass.
“Careful Peach, don’t get yourself lost in there” said Apple as she suddenly lost sight of her friend. “It’s okay Apple” said Peach as she kept on walking through the jungle style grass. As Peach was wondering through, she took a sniff of air ah she suddenly smelt something. She stopped in her tracks and began to sniff again, she smelt the same thing. “What is that…sweet smell?” asked Peach to herself as she was beginning to follow her nose. “Peach? Did you say something?” asked Apple as she was trying to find her friend. Peach didn’t answer her as she kept on following the scent that she could smell. “Peach?” asked Apple as she was beginning to worry that she might have fallen down some sort of hole or got attacked by one of the Giant Land’s insects.
Peach still didn’t answer Apple as she was just following the smell which was putting her in a trance like state. Peach held onto her head as she felt a little light headed. She shook it off as she wonders through deeply. “Peach!” shouted Apple as she was on her kneels carefully looking through the grass. Peach over her shoulder and looked at the direction that Apple’s voice came from. She was about to turn back when she suddenly saw something at the corner of her left eye.
“What the?” asked Peach as she turned to face the thing that she saw. “Huh? Peach where are you?” asked Apple as she heard Peach’s voice. “I’m over here” shouted Peach as she looked at the thing which turned out to be a red sleeping flower. She slowly walked her way towards the flower as she noticed that it stood as tall her. At first Peach though that the tall flower was a rose but she felt that it wasn’t though she doesn’t know why she felt that way.
Peach looked away from the flower and shouted for Apple. With her back turned, Peach didn’t see that the sleeping flower had its petals slowly spread out wide. Hearing this, Peach turned to look at the flower and she was started at what she saw. She took a step back as she saw that the flower had its pollen exposed to her ad before she could do anything, the flower had its pollen burst out upon the princess. This caused Peach to fall backwards covered in its pollen. “What is this!” screamed Peach as she shot up and looked down at her pink dress and saw that it was covered in pollen. She even began to cough a little as she had breathed in some of it. She began to brush the pollen off her.
Peach slowly looked at the flower and saw that its petals were falling back down as if it was falling to sleep. “I hope this isn’t harmful stuff” said Peach once brushed the pollen off her, she suddenly heard a worried voice booming above her. “There you are! Thank god the insects didn’t get you” said Apple as her loomed over the tall grass. “Insects? You have giant insects here?” asked Peach as she looked around her as she was beginning to panic. “Yeah, so here” said Apple as she held her hand out for her to climb onto. Once on, Apple stood back up with Peach sitting back down. “So how did plan on having me help you with the gardening if I’m just the right size of a meal for the insects here?” asked Peach as Apple was walking back inside the castle.
“What? Did you think you were going to help me while you’re still normal size?” asked Apple as she laughed a little. “Well…yeah…I kinder did. Bet I’m not the only one though” answered Peach as she hung her head. “Huh? What do you mean?” asked Apple as she just entered the castle. “I mean, wouldn’t the other person you invited be thinking the same thing?” answered Peach as she looked up. “Well,” said Apple as she looked at Peach, “knowing her, she properly would”
“So are you going to tell who it is yet?” asked Peach. “Now what did I just say before?” asked Apple. “Ah there you princess” spoke a servant. Apple turned to look at the servant, “What is it?” asked the giant princess. “You have another guest” answered the servant. “So she’s finally here” said Apple as she smiled at the servant. “Yes princess, she is waiting in the throne room” said the servant. “Thank you” said Apple. The servant took a bow and took her leave. “So she’s here then?” asked Peach as she looked at Apple whom looked down at her with a smile. With that Apple began to make her way towards the throne room.
Once she got there, she looked on and saw Daisy shrouded by suitcases. “Ah about time that you showed up Daisy” said Apple as walked towards the throne and sat down. “Well have no fear as for I’m now here” said Daisy as she looked at her. Once seated she placed Peach down to the floor; “What are you doing with all those suitcases?” asked Peach as she was slowly walked up to Daisy. “Why you ask that? Aren’t we going to do some gardening in Giant Land? The way I see it’s going to take us a least a few weeks to get the garden finished” said Daisy as she held her hands onto her hips. Daisy looked at her with a confidant look on her face as she just grinned. “Erm…” said Peach as she was trying to not laugh.
“Hmm, what’s so funny?” asked Daisy as she lowered her hands. “It’s just that…did you really think that you be helping me with the gardening while still being your normal size?” asked Apple as she leaned forward. Daisy looked up at the giant princess and didn’t say anything. This caused both Peach and Apple to burst out laughing. “Hay! It’s not that funny!” shouted Daisy as she stomped her right foot onto the floor. “It’s okay, you’re not the only that thought that” said Peach as she placed her hands onto Daisy’s shoulders.
The two of them looked at each eye to eye. “You thought the same thing?” asked Daisy. “Yeah, I did….ah…ah” answered Peach as she suddenly looked away from Daisy and sneezed. The moment that she sneezed, Peach suddenly felt something strange. “Bless you” said Daisy. Peach slowly looked back to Daisy and said; “Thank you” Peach looked at Daisy and saw that she was looking at her strangely. Daisy looked up at Peach, while looked down at Daisy.
Act 2- The Strange Case of the Little Sneezes
“Huh? That’s strange” said Daisy as she looked at Peach from head to toe. Peach looked at her in confusion. Apple looked on at this and thought the same. “What’s the matter?” asked Peach as she saw Daisy taking a step away from her. “You’re taller” answered Daisy bluntly. “Erm…that’s a bad thing?” asked Peach as she slowly looked up at Apple. “It could be the shoes that you two are wearing” said Apple as she looked at the two princesses. “The…shoes? Peach are you wearing new shoes?” asked Daisy as she looked at Peach’s feet.
Peach looked down at her feet and answered; “Yeah…they’re brand new” “Really?” asked Daisy as she walked towards her. Peach looked back up and answered, “Yeah, really. They’re brand new” Daisy looked at Peach right into the eyes and squinted hers a little. This was making Peach feeling uneasy. Then within a second, Daisy face burst into a smile and said, “Okay dokey lokey” “Right then…” said Apple as she stood up from her throne, the princesses then looked up at her, “Might as well get you girls to the right altitude for the job”
With that said the giant maid that brought Peach into the throne room entered with a metal place with metal cake dome sitting on top in hand.
“Princess, I have brought what you have requested” spoke the maid as she walked a few feet into the room. “That’s great,” said Apple as she walked towards the maid and saw her taking the cake dome off; showing her two mega mushrooms, “Thank you” Apple then picked up the two mushrooms from the plate and smiled at the maid. “Is there anything else you wish of me, princess?” asked the maid as she placed the cake dome back onto the metal plate. “No, that is all” replied Apple. The maid took a bow before she left the throne room.
Apple walked back to the two princesses and said, “Here you two, help yourselves” Apple placed the two mushrooms down in front of the princesses. They looked on at the mushroom saw that they were indeed Mega Mushrooms. “How long do these last for?” asked Daisy as she looked at the Mega Mushroom in front of her and then up at Apple. “These were modified to last much longer than the normal kind. So give or take the effects should last for five days straight but it does have one down fall” answered Apple as she knelt down.
“And that is?” asked Peach. “That it takes one hit to revert back to normal size” answered Apple as she looked at her. “One hit huh? Does it depend on the damage one gets upon inflicted by normal means or is it something much more?” asked Peach. “Pretty much a knock on the head does the trick” answered Apple. “Really” said Daisy in disbelieve. “Yes, now then if you two would” said Apple as she pointed at the Mega Mushrooms. With that the two princesses touched the Mega Mushroom and within seconds, the mushrooms vanished and the two of them started to increase in size. They kept on growing till they reached the size height scale as Apple.
“Well then,” said Apple as she looked at her friends as they looked down to check themselves, she slowly look at Peach and noticed that something was off with her. “Hmm, is something the matter?” asked Peach as she noticed that Apple was looking at her with a concern look. “It’s…just that you’re taller than me” was all Apple could answer as she noticed that she had to look up to meet her eyes. “Not you too” said Peach as she shrugged. “Yeah, did you say that it was new shoes?” asked Daisy. “Yeah I suppose…it’s just that you’ve never been taller than me,” said Apple as she was thinking of past events that Peach was a giantess, then she rolled her eyes as she suddenly remembered the moment when she and Daisy were taller than her, even towered above her when she was at Cypress Mountain; “Okay scratch that but you never been taller than me but normal means”
“So what are,” said Peach as she was suddenly felt a tingle in her nose as she was building up to a sneeze, “…ah….ah…ah chooo!” From the moment that she sneezed, Both Apple and Daisy looked at Peach in complete shock as they saw her suddenly gained extra altitude. “Bless you” said Daisy and Apple at the same time. “Thank you” said Peach, as she was looking at her friends. She noticed when she looked at them was that they were staring at her with their mouths slightly open. “Erm…are you girls by chance not standing straight?” asked Peach as she noticed that she was standing taller the two of them. They noticed that the two of them stood just eye level with her nose.
“Okay…did you see that” said Daisy as she pointed towards Peach from head to toe. “Yes…I’m afraid I did” said Apple as she crossed her arms. “Okay you two are scaring me. What did you see?” asked Peach as she took a step back. “That you’ve grown” said Apple. “Grown…what are you talking about?” asked Peach as she looked at her. “What I’m talking about is that you’ve grown with the aid of certain power ups” answered Apple as she took a step towards her. “I’ve…grown…” was all Peach could say as she moved up to Apple and placed her right hand onto her head. She looked on at Apple with an amazed look at the fact that she was standing taller than her. “You know this is starting to become wired” said Daisy. “You’re telling me” was all Peach said as she took her hand off Apple.
“So…” said Apple as she turned around, took a few steps away from Peach and stood next to Daisy, “did you take something?” “Pardon?” asked Peach as she didn’t understand the question. “What I mean is that did you accidently take something that’s causing you to grow” answered Apple as she looked over her left shoulder. “No…I didn’t take anything…I think” said Peach as she was trying to think of anything that she might have caused her to grow. “Okay…so we can cross out that it was something you drank or ate…” said Apple as she turned round to face Peach. “Wait a moment, how can you be so sure?” asked Daisy as she looked at her. Apple looked over to her and answered, “Because if she did it would have made a comment on the taste of the food and drink she had since she got here” “That’s true…the cruise’s menu was excellent” said Peach.
“Let us not forget that if there was some sort of potion used to cause all this would had a bad after taste” said Apple as she looked at the two of them. “How do you know?” asked Daisy as she looked her confused. “I know because I had some friends that went through the same thing and the cause was that it was something they drank and that they made a comment about the funny taste” answered Apple as she looked at her. “Who was this friend?” asked Peach. “That’s not important at this precise moment of time. What’s important right now is finding the said cause” answered Apple as she looked at her.
“So think Peach, think, did something happen that shouldn’t normally happen?” asked Daisy as she walked up towards Peach. Peach began to think, but before she could come up with anything she felt the same tingle in her nose and she went, “Ah Chooo!” Once again, Apple and Daisy looked on as they looked at the Mushroom Princess suddenly grow. “Bless you” said the two of them at the same time. “Thank you…” said Peach as she looked at her friends and saw that they were below her sight even more. “Oh my” was all Peach could say when she saw that they only came up towards her chin.
“It’s like she grown a full foot” said Daisy as she looked at Peach then slowly looked at Apple. Apple didn’t say anything as she just looked at Peach with a serious look on her face. “Apple?” asked Daisy as she tapped her shoulder. “You sneezed…” was all Apple said as she walked up towards Peach. “Yeah…” said Peach as she was confused at what she said. “You’ve been sneezing a lot for a while now” said Apple. “Now that you mention…you have been sneezing since I got here” said Daisy as she took looked at Peach. “Plus given the fact that everytime you sneeze you’ve been getting bigger” said Apple. “Then could it been?” asked Peach as her eyes lit up.
“What?” was all Apple said as she looked up at her eyes. “That…flower…that very bizarre looking flower” said Peach as she slowly looked down Apple. “Flower? What flower was this Peach?” asked Apple. “That flower I saw before you found me” answered Peach. “Found you, was this back at the Royal Garden?” asked Apple as she looked towards entrance of the throne room. “Yeah….it was as tall as me,” said Peach as she looked down at herself, “Well before my size change of course and before I knew it, it showered out it pollen all over me” Apple looked back at the Mushroom Princess and asked, “You didn’t touch by any chance?” Peach answered with a simple shook of her head.
“Excuse me girls” said Apple as she turned to face the entrance. “Where are you going?” asked Daisy as she saw her making her way towards the entrance. “To find that flower” answered Apple as she didn’t look back. Once Apple left, Peach felt the same tingle within her nose which was building to a sneeze; “…ah….ah…ah chooo!” “Bless you” said Daisy as she slowly looked back at Peach and saw to horror that she was growing again. “Oh…my” said Peach as she looked down at Daisy whom is now up to her collar bone. “You know this will become a hassle” said Daisy as she looked from her collar bone up towards her eyes. “Yeah I know…if only there was a way to slow this down” said Peach as she hung her head.
“Slow down,” said Daisy as she took a step back, suddenly her eyes lit up as she just thought of something, “…that’s it” “What’s it?” asked Peach as she looked at confused. “Stand in front of Apple’s throne” ordered Daisy as she pointed at the throne. Peach did what she was told and stood in front of the throne. She looked at Daisy and saw that she climbed on it. Once on, Daisy turned to face Peach with a smile on her face. Daisy was looking down at Peach. “This isn’t slowing things down” said Peach as she pouted. Daisy shrugged as she said, “Really, did you really think I would result to something that childish” “Well…” said Peach as she rolled her eyes.
When she looked back at her, she saw that Daisy was cracking her knuckles and that she had a stoic expression on her face. “What are you doing?” asked Peach as she was worried. “Remember what Apple said about that side effect with those Mega Mushrooms?” answered Daisy as she shook her hands. “Yeah…why what are” said Peach when she sudden felt a slap on the back of her head. “Ouch!” was all Peach said as she rubbed the back of her head. “Huh” was all Daisy said as she looked at confused. “Huh? Huh? Is that all you’re going to say?” asked Peach with a frown on her face. “No need to frown, remember what Apple said about that side effect with the Mega Mushrooms” answered Daisy. “Yeah…why” said Peach. “Seeing as how me slapping you at the back of your head didn’t work” said Daisy as she going through the pockets of her yellow dress. “I guess that it didn’t work…what the!” was all Peach said when she saw Daisy suddenly had a frying pan in her hands, getting ready to swing.
Peach quickly stepped away from the throne as Daisy swung the frying pan. “You! You were about to hit me with that frying pan!” snapped Peach as she pointed towards her and then at the frying pan. “Yeah, I was just trying to see if something harder were to hit you, then the effects of the Mega Mushroom would cancel out” answered Daisy as she lowered her hand that was holding on to the frying pan. “Okay…then where on the world did you get that frying pan?” asked Peach. Daisy looked at the frying pan, slowly looked towards the mushroom princess and then answered, “The same place you get yours during those Smash Tournaments”
“Oh…right. Well anyway. I not going to let you hit me with that thing” said Peach as she stepped back to the throne. “Fine,” said Daisy as she dropped the frying pan onto the floor, “Then what do you suggest?” as she crossed her arms. “Well…. ah….ah…ah chooo!” was all Peach said as she sneezed. “Oh brother” said Daisy as she saw that Peach was growing again. She saw that when Peach stopped growing, she had to look up to her instead of down. Peach was now a head taller than Daisy, whom was still standing on Apple’s throne. “Oh dear…I haven’t got a clue” said Peach as she hung her head. “Don’t worry, I’m sure things will turn out okay” said Daisy as she hopped off the throne.
Daisy looked at Peach and saw that she now stood eye level below her chest. “I can tell I’m going to have a stiff neck at the end of all this” said Daisy as she looked up at Peach. Peach just laughed at what she said. Just then the two of them heard someone coughing by the entrance of the throne room. They looked over to see who coughed and saw that it was the maid that brought in the Mega Mushrooms. “Princess Apple requires the two guest princess to be within the Royal Garden” said the maid as she looked at the two them with a stoic expression.
The two princesses then nodded as the maid left. “I’m surprised that she wasn’t shocked at seeing your height” said Daisy as she looked up at Peach. “Yeah I know. I mean look at me, I’m bigger than the giants of Giant Land” said Peach. “Well if you’re not bigger than them now, then you’re going to be at the rate your going” Daisy said as she and Peach made their way to the Royal Garden. They made to the entrance of the Royal Garden and they didn’t see Apple anywhere. “Apple! Apple where are you?” shouted Daisy as she looked into the Royal Garden.
Apple was within the Royal Garden, crawling on the ground around the area that she found Peach and brushes through the grass as she was looking for something. “I’m in here looking for the flower;” shouted Apple back as she was still looking for it until she spots something at the corner of her eye, “ah ha! Found it” She turned to face it and saw that it was a strange looking flower. Apple took out a handkerchief and used it to cover her nose and mouth. She did this in case that the flower still has any pollen left which might infect her. She slowly made her way towards the flower, with her free hand she reached out for the flower. She first checked if the flower didn’t had any thorns as she doesn’t want to prick her hand on it; which she found that it does not have any.
“Did you find the flower?” asked Peach as her voice echoed louder than Daisy’s. “Yeah,” said Apple as she plucked it from the ground and then she stood up and face towards the entrance and saw the two princesses. “Say Peach… did you get bigger?” asked Apple as she lowered her hand with the handkerchief and was making her way back to the entrance. “Yeah…it’s pretty hard not to notice” answered Peach. Daisy then spots Apple making her way towards them. “Yeah…I can see how it is not to” said Apple as she saw big Peach is now. “I did try to slow down her size increase” said Daisy as Apple stood in front of her. “Oh? How did you try to do that?” asked Apple as she put her handkerchief away. “Well I was trying to trigger that side effect with the Mega Mushrooms you gave us” answered Daisy as she noticed that Apple was holding onto what she thought to be a rose.
“Really?” asked Apple as she crossed her arms without damaging the flower. “Yeah” was all Daisy said. “You didn’t do like this did you?” asked Apple as she slapped Daisy on the back of her head. Before Daisy could react, she saw Apple and the world around her suddenly began to grow. “What?” was all Daisy could say once she stopped shrinking. She then slowly looked back up at Apple and asked. “Why did you do that for?” Apple knelt down and picked up Daisy with her free hand and answered, “Just checking to see if there was anything wrong with those Mega Mushrooms”
“Yeah but why did you have to that to me, why not her?” asked Daisy as she pointed towards Peach whom was now sitting down with her legs crossed. “Well because you said that you tried to cancel the Mega Mushroom on Peach and that didn’t work so I had to check to see if it was the effects of this flower that’s causing it of if or if it’s the mushroom” answered Apple. “Oh I get” said Daisy. “Yes so now we know that this flower is causing Peach to grow,” said Apple as she looked at the flower was walking towards Peach, “and that the Mega Mushroom is just adding to the growing problem” as she then looked at Peach.
“Yeah, that’s all fine and dandy. But how’s that’s going to sort out this mess?” asked Peach. “Glad that you ask” said Apple as she smiled up at her. Before Peach or Daisy could ask a question, the maid that informed that Apple wants them to be in the Royal Garden walked up beside the Giant Princess. “E. Gadd has sent what the princess has wished for” said the maid as she was holding onto a cake dome in her right hand. “Ah perfect, though I have to say that was very fast response from the good professor” said Apple as she looked at the maid with a smile. “Huh? What is it? What did the professor send you?” asked Daisy as she looked up at both Apple and the maid.
“Well,” said Apple as the maid walked a few feet towards Peach and placed the cake dome down to the ground, “As soon as I left to find this flower, I asked the maid to send a message for E. Gadd’s help in study this flower and hoping in finding a cure. Of course I mention about you’re discovery of its side effect” “But E. Gadd’s busy with other important businesses with Mario and Luigi. So I doubt that he would be here so soon” said Peach as she looked at the maid as she took the dome off and few steps back towards Apple. “Would you please bring me that thing we spoke of before” said Apple as she looked at the maid. “Of course” said the maid as she left the princesses.
Peach looked at the tray of where the cake dome is and saw a set of nine metal crates stated together along with a small white remote. “Strange…why does it feel like that I seen these crates before?” asked Peach as she leaned forward to get a better look. “Perhaps you seen them in a cancelled story once” answered Apple as she walked towards the metal crates and knelt down. “Really; breaking the fourth wall already?” asked Daisy as she jumped off Apple’s hand and headed her way towards the metal creates. “And why can’t I?” asked Apple as she leaned in to pick up one of the nine metal creates.
“No reason” answered Daisy as she looked at Daisy as she picked up each of the metal crates and placed them together. “Seeing as how you’re normal size would you push that button on the white remote” said Apple as she stood up straight and took a step back. “Oh okay,” said Daisy as she looked at the white remote that was left on the tray. Once she picked it up, she turned to look at the metal crates, aimed the remote towards them and pushed the button. Once pushed, the three princesses saw that the nine crates began to move towards each other like magnets and once together, they saw that they were forming together as one big metal crate.
The princesses looked at the big metal crate which was once many and saw that what looked like a sliding door suddenly appearing on the surface facing Peach.
“So what is this?” asked Peach as she looked towards Apple. “Well as I said I asked E. Gadd for help but due to him being busy and that he can’t get out of it. He replied back saying that he’s sending his laboratory here as a way of assisting us” answered Apple. “Right…you’re saying that this crate is his laboratory,” said Daisy as she looked up at Apple whom just nodded, “Sorry but I don’t buy it” Daisy looked up at Apple with a face of denial.
“Well, based on what E. Gadd wrote back on how the crates work is that he was able to create a device that can alter the space of any room, for example he can make the smallest room of a house to be a size of that one would see in mansions but to the outside everything remains the same. So the house doesn't change as it remains the same” said Apple as she looked down at Daisy as she walked towards the entrance of the metal crate.
“You know…I feel like I already said this but…that sounds kinder like a blue box I heard from some sort of television show that Mario speaks about” said Peach as she a confused look on her face. “Hmm, yes, yes it does” said Apple as she looked at her. “Wait...you want me to go in there?” asked Peach as she sneezed within moments of saying that. “Bless you” said both Daisy and Apple. “Thank you” said Peach as she saw that she was looking down at Apple from higher point of view.
“Well, instead of staying out here, well don’t we all get inside” said Apple as she looked at Peach and Daisy. “Okay then, let’s a-go” said Peach as she stood up and made her way towards the entrance. “Open Sesame” said Apple with a smile as she stood next to Peach and Daisy. With that command, the metal doors to the create slid open, showing the three princesses what it looked like inside. “Wow,” said Daisy as she walked in, looked at the inside and said, “It’s bigger on the inside”. The moment that Apple and Peach entered, Daisy saw the walls and ceiling suddenly expanded.
“What was that?” asked Daisy as she had her mouth wide open. “That’s the beauty of this thing. We don’t have to worry too much if Peach were to grow too big as this place will continue to expand to match whatever size she will be in” answered Apple as she looked down at Daisy and then looked up at Peach. “Oh good, I was beginning to worry where I was going to sleep if I get ginormous” said Peach as she took a breath of relief.
“Okay so now that we got this thing…how we are…or you’re going to find the cure and reverse the effects that are happening to Peach” asked Daisy. Before Apple could answer, there was female voice coming from entrance. The three of them looked over at whom spoke and saw that was the maid again, holding onto a tray with a cake dome on top with her right hand. “I have brought what you asked for princess” said the maid. “Ah ha, here’s the answer to your question Daisy” said Apple as she walked towards the maid.
The maid took the cake dome off the tray to show Apple that it was purple Megavitamin with a capital D sideway across it. Apple picked the Megavitamin from the tray and said, “That is all” “As you wish” said the maid as she took a bow and left the three princesses alone. “So what is that?” asked Peach as she looked at the Megavitamin in her hand. “This? Why this is what’s going to help us find a cure” answered Apple as she showed Peach the Megavitamin. “How?” was all Peach asked as she looked at it in confusion.
“Well, seeing as how there’s not enough time to find a doctor of any form that could help, so I thought of the next best thing” answered Apple as she walked away from Peach and passed Daisy. “That is?” asked Daisy as she saw her stopping a few feet away from the two of them. “Well, like how the scientists of Giant Land create their own power ups and such” said Apple as she rose her hand with the Megavitamin in. “Yeah, I remember you telling me about that” said Peach as she took a step forward. “Well, they also worked on creating a power up to give the user vast knowledge on medicine though only temporary” said Apple as she looked at two girls.
“Why temporary?” asked Daisy as Peach knelt down and picked her up. “Because the scientists felt that if it were permanent it would be unfair to those whom spent years into studying become doctors, where as if someone were to take the power up they know everything that a doctor knows within seconds” answered Apple as she slowly looked at her hand with the Megavitamin. “That sounds fair” said Peach as she looked down at Daisy whom was sitting in palm of her hands. “Though I have to warn you two,” said Apple as she hastily looked at the girls, “There’s a fifty, fifty percent chance that my personality may change. If it does, please bear with it as I said. It’s temporary”
“How long is temporary?” asked Peach as both she and Daisy looked worried. “I don’t know” answered Apple as she looked back up at her hand and crushed the purple Megavitamin.
Act 3- Doctor Apple will see you now
The two of them looked at Apple as they saw her being engulfed in purple dust, crushed from the Megavitamin that she held in her hand. Apple looked at the dust as it was sprinkling around her, seeing the shine from within the dust cloud. Slowly Apple felt a jolt of knowledge circuiting through her head; she suddenly knew many things that she didn’t know before. Before she could grasp the new found knowledge she temporary gained, she saw that the clothes that she was wearing were glowing a bright purple shine.
Suddenly her eyes were blinded by the same coloured shine, but only for a moment as she could see once more. Blinking a few times, Apple noticed that she was looking through something, like she was looking out of a window. It dawned to her that she was wearing a pair of glasses. Slowly the giant princess looked down at her clothes and saw that she was wearing a long white jacket with a stethoscope hanging from her neck. She also noticed that she no longer wearing her golden sandals but was instead being replaced with a pair of red heels.
“Apple?” asked Peach as she looked at her friend. Apple blinked a few times before she replied, “Yes…I’m fine” “How are you feeling?” asked Peach. Apple tilted her head towards her and said, “A lot better, though can’t say much about you though, love” Apple then hasty turned towards Peach and marched towards her. “Now then,” said Apple as she was up real close to Peach, took the stethoscope from her neck, put them on and placed the other end onto Peach’s chest, “We best get started”
“Started with what?” asked Daisy as she looked up at Apple. Apple looked down at Daisy and answered, “Start with tests love, now let us make haste for the doctor shunt going to be here for long” Before Peach or Daisy could ask another question, and Apple just hummed and then clicked her right fingers. She put the stethoscope back on her neck and took a step back as the floor beneath Peach’s feet began swung open like a trap door and before the mushroom princess could fall through, a dental engine rose up from beneath her.
Once Peach laid flat onto the chair, the dental engine began to slowly raise a few feet up and both princesses looked at Apple with such confusion. Apple walked towards Peach, looked down at Daisy and picked her up from Peach’s hands. She then placed Daisy onto her left shoulder and took a few steps back away from the dental engine. “What’re doing?” asked Peach as she looked at Apple. “Just about to begin the scanning phase, please now Peach, try your best to not move a muscle” answered Apple as she clicked her fingers again.
From that the ground around the dental engine began to rise up in a form of five different size metal rings, slowly each one tilted at different angles and moved a few distance away from each other. The smallest ring being the closest to Peach, while the largest being the farthest. Peach looked at the rings and then looked towards Apple with a confusion look. “Now then, let us begin” said Apple as she clicked her fingers again. Once the sound of her clicked fingers echoed throughout the lab, the five rings began to rotate around Peach.
Slow at first, the rings began to speed up as they were spinning around the Mushroom Princess. “What are they doing?” asked Daisy as she looked at the rings spinning. “They’re scanning her, each ring scans through her body to see the course of the infection and see what possible way of slowing and if we’re lucky can stop any more growth spurts” answered Apple as she clicked her fingers once more. Suddenly the floor beside Apple began to rise to match her size. Daisy looked at what was raised and saw that it was some sort of computer.
“Now then, love if you would excuse me” said Apple as she turned to face the computer, put her hands together and cracked them. “Are you supposed to do that? I don’t think HE will like you doing that?” asked Daisy. Apple looked at her and then slowly looked at her hands. With a plane look on her face, she just gave a shrug and said, “Oh well, what’s done is done. No point in regretting the past and all that. Tell you what,” Apple said as she looked back at Daisy, “I promise that I won’t do that anymore…at least for the rest of this tale”
“Erm…Apple…are you suppose to be doing something?” asked Peach as she was feeling dizzy by looking at the spinning rings.
“Oh right, now then” answered Apple as she nodded her head and made her way towards the keyboard. After she started imputing codes on the keyboard, the screen on the computer began to show a full image of Peach head to toe with her eyes closed. Just then, the image of Peach began to divide into five copies and each one is in a different colour. Each of them were coloured in red, blue, yellow, green and pink. “What’s all this then?” asked Daisy as she looked at the screen. Apple answered, “Each of these coloured Peaches represents the different layers of her body. The red Peach represent her blood stream, the blue is for her organs, yellow is for her bone structure, green is for her muscle and lastly pink is for her skin”, she said this without diverted her gave from the screen.
“Right…and now what?” asked Daisy. “Now we just wait and see if these rings can pick up anything …its taking way too long I must say” answered Apple as she looked at the screen with a puzzled look. “Too long, what are you talking about?” asked Peach as she kept on staring at the spinning rings. “What I mean is that it should have picked up some sort of imprint but nothing” answered Apple as she walked away from the computer and headed towards Peach. Apple clicked her fingers, which stopped the rings rotating and made her way closer to Peach.
“What are you doing?” asked Peach as she turned her head towards Apple. “Sorry Peach…but,” answered Apple said as she put her left hand in her pocket and pulled out a feather, “ I’m afraid that I must do this” Once she said this, Apple dash towards Peach’s face and brushed the feather beneath her nose. “No…stop…ah…ah…ah” pleaded Peach as she was about to stop her friend from tickling her nose. Apple saw what was about to happen, took a leap step backwards and clicked her fingers. The rings began to rotate the Mushroom Princess one more.
“Ah Chooo!” screamed Peach as she sneezed. Just like before, Peach began to grow again. As Peach was growing, the rings orbiting around her were also expanding making it so that they can still go round her. “Hmm, Daisy does any of those coloured images blinking?” asked Apple as she looked at Peach. Daisy looked up at the giant screen and answered, “No nothing yet” “Okay then…luckily for us that was a Moon Feather I tickled Peach’s nose with will make you sneeze three more times” “Say what?” asked Peach as she was shocked at what she heard. “So now we only got two more to go” said Apple as she saw Peach was about to sneeze again. Daisy looked over shoulder and said that Peach sneezed.
Again, Peach grew even more and the equipment around her grew alongside her. “Daisy” ordered Apple. Daisy knew what she meant, so she looked back at the screen and saw that there were no changes with the five images. “Nothing Apple” said Daisy back. “Hmm, as they say, third time the charm” said Apple as she saw that Peach was going to sneeze the third time. Once Peach sneezed the time and grew even more, Daisy screamed out, “Its blinking, Apple, there’s a blinking” Apple looked over shoulder and asked hastily, “What colour?” “Pink, Apple, its blinking on pink” answered Daisy as she saw the pink coloured Peach blinking.
“Alright then” said Apple as she clicked her both of her fingers. Both the dental engine and the five rings went back down into the floor. Peach felt herself laying on the floor, with that she sat up and crossed her legs. “Sorry about that Peach” said Apple as she looked up at her friend. Peach had her eyes closed during her three sneezes; she rubbed them first before she slowly opened them and looked ahead.
“Huh…where are you?” asked Peach as she saw no one was in front of her. “Down here” answered Apple as she placed her hands into her pockets. Peach looked down and she went all wide eyes. “Whoa…what on Mushroom Kingdom! You’re tiny” said Peach as she was shocked at having to look down at her giant friend. “Correction, I am not tiny it is you whom is huge. Bigger than the giants of the Giant Land if I’m to have a guess” said Apple as she smiled.
“So this is how you see us…I must be hundred feet tall now. It’s pretty nerve wracking” said Peach as she was worried on her increased size. “How so?” asked Apple as she tilted her head to left. “That everytime that you’ll move you make, you might put normal size people in danger” answered Peach. “True…put then again you have been even bigger than that before” said Apple as she chuckled. “Yeah…but that was in a place where there were no citizens about” said Peach. “I suppose, the only thing you had to worry about that time was that Shiva character and we all know how that turned out” said Apple as she began to walk closer towards her. “Yeah I do, well, I wonder how she, her brothers and the Warriors of Light’s fight against Culex are going?” asked Peach as she was in deep thought.
“I’m sure they’re fine. Any who, Let us begin phase two” said Apple as she clicked her fingers “I’m not going to strapped on to some sort of strange device?” asked Peach as she was panicking. “You read too many horror stories about mad doctors’ love” answered Apple as she was trying not to laugh. “Than…what’s phase two?” asked Peach as she calmed down a little. “Why, I’m going to search through your skin to find the imprint” answered Apple as she gave her a smile. “What?” asked Peach as she felt a chill running down her spine.
Peach looked at her and saw that she was holding a magnifying glass. “What are you’ll doing with that?” asked Peach as she saw that Apple was looking through the magnifying glass. “With this magnifying glass I’m able to detect where the imprint is. It will show up as a lit up yellow spot. So hold still” answered Apple as she aimed the magnifying glass towards Peach. Just then, Peach saw that the flooring that Apple was standing on began to rise up from underneath. Railings sprung up from the risen floor keeping Apple safe for if she were to fall off.
Peach looked at her and saw that the floor was beginning to rise up even more and rotating around her. Apple looking through the magnifying glass, hoping to see a response but nothing as she has spun full circle. “Hmm…what is it that I’m missing?” asked Apple as she lowered the magnifying glass. “Is it not picking up anything?” asked Peach. “Yeah…though I wish someone could give me a hand in…this…hands” answered Apple as she suddenly looked up at Peach and saw that her hands were placed on her knees, palm down. “Peach hold out hands and spread out your fingers and thumbs” ordered Apple as she raised the magnifying glass up again.
“Okay” replied Peach as she followed her order. She held out her hands and spread out her fingers and thumbs. The flooring rose up to meet up with Peach’s giant hands; Apple held the magnifying glass and looked through them. She started with Peach’s left hand and looked at each finger and lastly her thumb. “Nothing” said Apple as she sounded disappointed. She moved towards Peach’s right hand and began scanning through the magnifying glass. As she was scanning, that was a loud blipping noise coming from it. “Ah ha! Found something” said Apple she moved the magnifying glass towards where it was blipping from and saw a yellow dot coming from Peach’s index finger.
“The imprint seems to be coming from your right index finger. Can you kindly remove your glove?” asked Apple as she was looking at the princess’ finger. Peach did what she was asked and removed her right sleeve glove and held out her right hand again. “Now then, let’s see” said Apple as she looked through the magnifying glass again. As she looked through she could see that the white dot was indeed on her index finger. Peach looked at Apple with a worried look and with her free left arm, she used it to wrap her legs together. Just then, the magnifying glass in Apple’s hand began to grow. It grew slightly bigger than Apple, which forced her to hold it with both hands.
As it grew, Apple was able to see the yellow dot was fading away and becoming a clearer picture. Once it was clear, Apple could see that the yellow dot was in fact a green apple. “A green apple?” was all Apple could say as she looked at it all confused. “A, green apple, an apple? Is that what the imprint is? A green apple?” asked Peach. “Yes…that’s what it appear to be…while that does seem strange but it does almost mean that the cause of your sudden growth isn’t organic” answered Apple as the magnifying glass was beginning to shrink down in size, back down to the size that Apple first held it.
“It’s not organic?” asked Peach as she put her sleeve glove back on. “No normally an organic imprint of whatever disease would just leave some sort of bruise like imprint somewhere on the body. In your case you breathed in pollen from a strange flower so normally the imprint should have left somewhere within your lungs but it didn’t. It was left on your skin and on the skin, instead of a bruise, it was a green apple” answered Apple as she put the magnifying glass away. “So what does that mean?” asked Peach. “It means that it’s manmade” answered Apple. “Manmade?” Peach asked as the floor Apple was on was beginning to lower down. “Correct, manmade, it basically means that it can be traceable. Finding out where its point of origin is can help us into finding you a cure before you get even bigger” answered Apple as she was looking up at Peach as the floor was reaching the bottom.
“Oh that remind me” said Apple as she looked at her right hand and had her index out, thumb out while the rest of her fingers closed making it shaped her hand into a gun like form; a red and blue Megavitamin appeared out of nowhere and hovered an inch above her index. “What are you doing?” asked Peach as she looked at her confused. Apple looked up, aimed her right hand towards Peach’s head, had her left eye closed and answered, “Open wide please” “Why…” was all Peach could say as Apple fired Megavitamin which landed straight into her mouth. Causing Peach to swallow the Megavitamin, “What was that?” she asked as she felt like she almost choked.
“Relax love, relax. I just have given you a Megavitamin that will stop you from sneezing like you’re having some sort of pollen allergy. Must be a side effect from the flower, making its victims grow large at a such a fast pace” answered Apple as she smiled at her. “Really? You could have told me beforehand and not scaring me like that” said Peach as she gave her a frown. “Sorry love, I would have but as it would have it; I was just running short of time as I can feel the effects of this power up wearing off” said Apple as she just gave Peach a shrug.
“Hay, so how are you going to find out where this point of origin is then?” asked Daisy who was still at the computer. “Huh, Daisy where are you?” asked Peach as she couldn’t see her. “I’m more surprised that you can still hear me!” said Daisy as she looked how huge Peach is to her. To Daisy, Peach is a size of a Giant Land fortress. “Well it seems that when Peach gets bigger, her hearing gets sharper but from what I can see, her sight doesn’t. It remains the same back when she was normal size” said Apple as she was walking towards the computer. “If that’s the case then how come I’m not hearing the outside world?” asked Peach. “Simple,” answered Apple as she reached the computer and took out the magnifying glass, “this whole lab, it’s soundproof”
“Really?” asked Daisy as she looked up at Apple who pulled a cord from the computer and input it into the bottom of the magnifying glass. “Yeah, it’s so that outsiders can’t listen in on us” answered Apple as she went and pressed on the keyboard. “What are you doing now?” asked Peach as she saw what Apple was doing. “Just having the data that the magnifying glass got from that apple imprint and scanning the flower on where it may have come from” answered Apple. “So…have it found anything?” asked Daisy. “Erm…about now it has” answered Apple as she saw that the screen came up with the results.
“So, what does it say? Where did the flower come from?” asked both Peach and Daisy. “Huh? Never would have expected that, no never. Basically it says that it bloomed from the soil of Small Land” answered Apple as she looked at both princesses. “Small Land, as in that Small Land that I helped out long ago?” asked Peach. Apple looked up at her and answered, “Pretty much, though I’m surprised that it came from that place” “If it’s that hard to believe then why don’t you double check?” asked Daisy. Just as Daisy said that, the computer screen began to bleep, Apple looked at the screen and answered, “It just did and it still says the same place”
“So you’re saying that the flower came from Small Land…that doesn’t sound right I mean…that place is small, really small and that flower when I first found it was as big as me. That was me normal size in the Royal Garden” said Peach as she couldn’t believe what she heard. “Well…that’s what it says on the findings. The only way,” said Apple as she suddenly shook her head and, “Is to go and see if,” Apple stopped shaking her and saw that the clothes she was wearing was beginning to glow purple. “Small land has something to do with the flower” said Apple as she was covered in purple glow. She was blinded briefly before she could see again.
She noticed that she didn’t have anything covering over her eyes; she looked down and saw that was wearing her normal red dress and sandals. “Erm…girls did I miss anything?” asked Apple as she looked at both Daisy and Peach. “Really, you don’t remember what you said and did?” asked Daisy as she looked at her confused. Apple looked down at her and answered, “Just bits a pieces, like knowing the cause of Peach’s growth is manmade and something about finding where it came from” “Well you found out that the flower came from Small Land and before you changed back, you said we should check if that place have anything to do with the flower” answered Peach.
“Is that so…the flower came all the way from Grass Land” said Apple as she began to question how the flower was able to be planted in Giant Land. “Hay wait a minute, I thought you said that it came from Small Land…granted I don’t even know where that is” stated Daisy. “Hmm, true, you don’t know where it is because it’s a kept secret kingdom that’s located within Grass Land” Apple said as she looked down at Daisy. “Secret? Why is this Small Land place a kept as a secret?” asked Daisy. “Mainly due to their size” answered Apple. Daisy looked at her confused, “Size? Why how big are we talking about here?” she asked.
“Well,” said Apple as she took a step towards Peach and then spun round to face Daisy, “They’re a lot smaller than you are. Smaller than a normal size person” “Are you saying that they’re like Lilliputs?” asked Daisy. “I guess that’s the best way of describing them” said Apple as she chuckled. “So what are we’re going to do then?” asked Peach. “Hmm, yes…well we can’t have you going all the way to Grass Land and scaring the Small Land citizens” answered Apple as she looked up at her. “True and we can’t really have you go there due to the same thing” said Peach. The two of them slowly looked towards where Daisy was.
“Hay wait a minute, I can’t go because I have no clue on where Small Land is!” stated Daisy. “Well I could give you a map on where it is located but you getting there would take too long” said Apple as she walked towards the computer. “Then what’s the plan?” asked Peach. “The plan, yes the plan is that I myself shall take Daisy to Grass Land and drop her off as close to Small Land as possible and she shall meet up with King Small to discuss with him if he knows anything about the flower” answered Apple as she picked up Daisy.
“Hay what about Peach?” asked Daisy as she was placed on Apple’s left shoulder. “With me going to Grass Land will take less time due to my giant size so in theory it should take that long to get what we need in Small Land. During that time, Peach shall stay here,” Apple answered as she slowly looked up at Peach, “The servants shall care for you while we’re gone” Peach just nodded her head. “Right then Daisy, we got ourselves a road trip to go on” said Apple as she looked at Daisy, whom didn’t like the idea.
“Yeah…well this better be quick. I don’t want Peach to outgrow the whole Mushroom Kingdom” said Daisy. “See you later, Peach…I know it might be impossible but try not to sneeze” said Apple as she looked up at Peach. “I try, but no promise” said Peach back. “We try not to be too long” with that Apple left the lab with Daisy, leaving Peach all alone within the lab. As Peach turned her head away from the entrance to the lab, she suddenly heard the sound of footsteps entering.
Peach turned to see whom it was, expecting it to be one of the giant servants, seeing if she wanted something but when she looked. She saw nothing, no trace of anyone. “Must have been hearing things” said Peach to herself as she turned away. Once more, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her; she hastily looked back and saw that it was one of the giant servants. “Do you wish of anything Princess Peach?” asked the maid. “Erm…I know this may sound silly, but did you see anyone come in here after Apple left?” asked Peach as she looked at her.
The maid looked at her with a confused look on her face and replied, “No, princess, I haven’t seen anyone come in here” “And you only just entered?” asked Peach. “That is correct princess, is there anything I else I can help you with?” answered the maid. “No…that okay” said Peach. “Very well, please let me know if you do want anything princess” said the maid as she took a bow and left the lab. The footsteps that Peach first heard, Peach simply believed that it was just her imagination and nothing more.
Or so she thought, as something deep within the expanding lab, was waiting patiently and watching Peach. It wasn’t going to harm the princess as it was only waiting for its orders to act.
Act 4- The Small Land’s Part
Sometime later over at Grass Land,
Daisy was wondering through the grassy plains of Grass Land, holding onto a map which Apple has given her, after dropping her off. Daisy looked at the map and then looked at her shrouding. “Gees, how am I suppose to find this place,” said Daisy as she looked all confused, “I can’t make head of tails of this place at all” Daisy rolled her eyes again as she looked back at map. According to her map reading, she should be a few feet close to Small Land but she can’t really tell based on the surrounding area.
“I’m lost” said Daisy as she hung her head. “I don’t know how that’s possible but it is, I’m completely and utterly lost” the princess said as she slowly looked up and began to take a few steps forward. As she was walking, she began to notice that there was a fly bussing around her. At first she ignored the fly but then she saw that another fly flew around her. And then another and then another and then another fly came round and buzzed above round her head. “I can’t be that sweaty” said Daisy as she raised her left arm and sniffed her armpit. Once she took a whiff, she lowered her arm and said to herself, “I don’t smell that bad”
With that Daisy tried her best in ignoring the flies above and tried instead on focus again on the map. She was reading the map while walking. She kept doing this until,
“Halt who goes there!” echoed a male voice which causes Daisy to stop walking. “Who said that?” asked Daisy as she looked around and saw no one, looking all confused. “Identify yourself” spoke a different male voice. “Okay, who said that?” asked Daisy as she tried her hardest to see who spoke. She said this while trying to keep the flies from buzzing around her head. “Will you flies buzz off” snapped Daisy as she tried swatting the nearest flies. “You see now that she’s our enemy. Keep her away from our kingdom!” yelled a male voice which was coming from the nearest flies.
Daisy looked at the nearest flies and had a worried look on her face. “Wait a minute, wait a minute! It’s all a misunderstanding!” pleaded Daisy as she was looking at the flies swarming together and dived towards her. As soon as they were close enough, Daisy covered her face with her hands, believing that they were going to attack her. “Please, I’m Princess Daisy! Princess Apple sent a letter about me wishing an audience with the king” said Daisy in a panic. The flies suddenly stopped with their dive movements and slowly hovered their way in front of Daisy.
“You’re the princess of Sarasaland. We’re apologise for our rudeness” spoke the same voice as before. “Hmm” was all Daisy could say as she slowly removed her hands and looked at the flies. With a closer look at the closest fly, she could see something was riding on it which was a really small Toad, whom was sitting on a saddle on the insect with a free hand holding onto the fly and the other with a spear. “I take it you’re one of the citizens of Small Land?” “Correct princess, I apologise again about the action we were about to do” said the Toad.
“What were you guys going to do?” asked Daisy as she looked at each of the flies and saw the each of them has a Toad riding on them. “Well to be blunt we thought you were about to crush our home” answered the Toad. “Really?” asked Daisy as she looked at the Toad with a confused look. “Yes, if you look just in front of you, you see our home” answered the Toad as he pointed down. Daisy did what he said and looked down. At first Daisy could see anything, so she slowly crouches down so she can get a better look. When she lowered herself, she couldn’t believe her eyes as she could see beneath the grass was a bird eye view of a town like area. She could see very small buildings and what at first she thought was ants marching through the town but realise that it was the Toad people. All of whom looked up at a towering princess.
“I shall inform the king that you have arrived” said the Toad as he made the fly he was on to fly down into the area. “Erm…okay” was all Daisy could say as she saw him flying off. While Daisy was waiting, she saw the Toad people within the town area all gathering round staring up at her. “Wow…this feels strangely familiar” Daisy thought to herself as she looked at the tiny Toads making their way towards her. After a while, Daisy could see a large crowd was making their way towards the already large crowd that was looking at her.
Once the large crowd joined the already bigger crowd, the Toad that informed the king about her returned. “The king is here” said the Toad. “Really? Where is he?” asked Daisy as she looked at him and then down onto the crowd. As Daisy looked at the crowd, she saw that one Toad stood out in front of the others. Daisy took a closer look and saw that the Toad wore a crown. “I take it that you’re the king of these parts?” asked Daisy as she looked at the crown wearing Toad. She could then hear a slight voice replying back, “Yes I am”.
“It’s very hard to hear” said Daisy as she titled her head to the left so that her left ear aimed towards the king. “Oh I forget to give this to you” said the Toad that came back. Daisy looked up at the Toad and saw that he was holding onto a mushroom in his free hand, where he should be holding onto a spear. “What’s that?” asked Daisy as she pointed at the mushroom. “It’s a mini mushroom. It’s to let you shrink down in size. It make things easier” answered the Toad as he had the fly he was on to fly towards Daisy’s pointed finger.
With that, the Toad placed the Mini Mushroom on her finger and before Daisy could react, the effects of the mushroom took place. Daisy saw the world around her began to grow. Once the effects took place, and saw that she’s no longer shrinking. Daisy looked at the world in her diminished point of view and thought to herself, “Great, shrinking twice in one day” She looked up and saw that the grass towers over her, each one making it look like she was in a jungle. “I could only imagine what Apple would look like if she saw me now” thought Daisy as she suddenly imagines Apple being a size of the world’s tallest mountain towering over the diminished princess. “You must be Princess Daisy” spoke a voice that broke Daisy’s train of thought which wasn’t a few feet away from her.
Daisy turned to look at who spoke and saw that it was the king. “You must be King Small, very nice to see you” said Daisy as she took a bow. King Small does the same thing. “I see that you’re well protected” said Daisy as she looked up at the Toads riding the flies. “Oh yes, after having Princess Peach helping us out, we decided on finding ways on defending our kingdom. There were many trial and errors but I feel that this is the best outcome of it all” said King Small as he looked up. “Wow, so you must have good relationships with the insects” said Daisy as she looked at King Small with a raised eyebrow. “Yes, it was tricky at first seeing as how we’re smaller than them but in the end we formed a peace treaty with each of the insect rulers. Now we all help each other out defending each of our own. If that make sense” said King Small as he looked back at Daisy. “Yeah it make sense” Daisy said.
“So what brings you here? If you may prey tell” asked King Small as he looked at Daisy. “Well it’s a long story” answered Daisy as she looked at the king. As she was looking at him, she noticed that she was a couple of feet taller than him, she directed her eyes among the other citizens and saw that she was looking over their heads, “…wow…even when I’m this small, I’m still taller than everyone.” Daisy said out loud. King Small looked at her with wide eyes. “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound rude” said Daisy as she covered her mouth. “its okay, me and my people gotten used to being smaller than everyone else. I mean long ago the kingdom was being attacked by a trio of Goombas” said the king.
“Oh yeah…Peach did say something about that” said Daisy. “The Mushroom Princess did help us deal with those problems. Now then, let us go inside the castle and discuses the business that brought you here” said King Small as he jested for Daisy to follow him. Daisy soon began to follow the king as he led her inside the castle. Daisy looked at the scenery around her, and loved every bit that the tiny kingdom has to offer. Once they entered the castle, the king led Daisy into the king’s office. Once in, they sat down on a couple of seats within, King Small looked at the Daisy and asked, “Now then, please start at the beginning”
Daisy took a deep breath and told everything that happened with the events of the bizarre flower and the effects that the flower has caused Peach. As Daisy was talking, King Small’s eyes were beginning to widen as if he was in fear. Daisy took note of his expression and asked, “Are you okay?” King Small crouch forward on his seat, covered his face with his hands and with his voice muzzled said, “Oh no…no, no, no, no. Please no” “Pardon?” asked Daisy as she looked at him confused.
The king slowly moved his hands down from his face, leaving only the tip of his fingers on his chin and said, “I believe I now know why you’re here” “Yeah…as I was about to say that after we did some testing we found out that the flower came from this place” said Daisy. “Yeah…I know because the flower did in fact came here” said the king as he stood up from his seat. “Care to explain as to why the flower came here?” asked Daisy as she looked at him as he looked worried.
“Okay…the flower was from the manmade products project as a process for Small Land being able to defend them from threats that could wipe us out” answered King Small as he looked at her. “What did the flowers do?” Daisy asked knowing the answer. “The flowers were to suppose to allow those that use it to grow to size of a human being. That what it was suppose to do” answered the king. “But that didn’t happen did it?” asked Daisy. “No it did not…well it kinder did but it worked too well” answered King Small. “It worked too well?” asked Daisy.
“Yes…it worked too well as in there was no limit to the growth. Those that use the flower kept on growing and growing and growing. In perfect proportions as in no misplace enlarge body parts and all that stuff” said the king. “Wait, so if you knew the effects of the flower after using it,” said Daisy. “Them” said King Small as he corrected her. “Them…well after using THEM what did you do after…I mean there must have been able to cure them yes?” asked Daisy.
“Yes, we were able to cure them and from that we did thought that we could somehow control the growth effect of the flowers but sadly we could not” answered King Small. “No matter what you guys did, the end results remain the same?” asked Daisy. “Yes….after we cured all those that took the flowers we decided that it would be best to contain them all and destroy them” answered King Small. “Destroy? You couldn’t have destroyed them all I mean one of those flowers was seen within the Royal Gardens of Giant Land” said Daisy as she stood.
“Yes…I was afraid that something like that was to happen” said King Small. “Really, you knew that it would plant elsewhere?” asked Daisy as she was not happy with the answer. “Yes…there was a problem when dealing with disposing of the flowers” answered the king as he looked at her with an even more worried look. “What kind of problems? What did you guys do?” asked Daisy. “The only way to dispose of something that can be harmful if fallen into the wrong hands is to burn them. We burned every single flower that was produced deep within a confine space but as they were being burned down to a crisp. They each had a reaction to the condense heat and they all burst up into seeds and flew all throughout the room like dandelion seeds” answered the king.
“And what, some of the seeds blew out of the confine space?” asked Daisy. “Yes…but at the time we didn’t know and when one of the scientists went to expect them, they must have accidently released some of the seeds upon entering. From that I guess that they somehow caught on the wind flew out of the kingdom” answered King Small as he made his way towards the seats. Once he sat down, Daisy looked at him and said, “That last bit sounded unbelievable” “To be honest I haven’t got a clue how it gotten out of the kingdom so please believe me when I say that” the king said as he took a deep sigh.
“Okay, though I want to know. Why did you guys make them in the first place?” asked Daisy. “As I said, it was to defend Small Land but it was also not to trouble others into sorting out our mess. But I guess that our mess have caused trouble for them” “But you can help them. You can help Peach can’t you?” asked Daisy. King Small’s eyes lit up. “Yes…yes I can…I hope that there some left of the cure” answered King Small as he stood up from his seat. “I hope some too” said Daisy as she followed him out of the office.
An hour later,
“So what am I suppose to do then?” asked Daisy as she was walked along side King Small. The two of them were walking towards the entrance of Small Land. King Small looked at the red box that was in Daisy’s hands and answered, “Just give those to Peach as soon as possible. Once she taken them she will shrink back to her normal size” “Thanks, good thing you still have some of these left” said Daisy as she looked at the box in hand. “You’re welcome, tell Princess Peach that I’m sorry about everything” said King Small. “I will. See you later” said Daisy as she looked back at him and gave him a smile.
With that Daisy waved King Small goodbye as she begin to take her first steps out of Small Land. King Small waved back as he saw her walking off into the tall grass blades till he couldn’t see her anymore. Daisy walked though the grass, she kept on walking till she felt she was far enough from Small Land. Once she felt it, she stopped in her tracks, placed her hand into her pocket and took out a Super Mushroom. Daisy activated the Super Mushroom and the effects of the power up took place as she was growing back to her normal size.
Once Daisy stopped growing, she looked back down at the grass and thought how they towered over her. She looked back at her hand that was holding the red box and saw that it was now tiny. It was to her the size of a pebble. She brought it closer so she could look at it closely and said, “Of course it had to small didn’t it?” She said as she chuckled. “Will you be leaving us?” spoke a male voice which was coming from a nearby fly. Daisy looked at the fly and saw that it was the same Toad as before riding it. With a smile on her face, Daisy replied, “Correct, I got what I need and now I must return to where my friend is waiting” “If you wish, I could lead you the way back to your friend” said the Toad as he made the fly move closer to the princess. “That’s alright, I can remember my way back. Thanks for offering though” said Daisy as she smiled at him. “No problem, till we meet again” said the Toad as he flew off back to Small Land.
With that, Daisy trek her way towards the spot that where Apple was waiting. It didn’t take her long into reaching Apple. Apple, whom was sitting down her legs crossed. Letting her mind wonder, Apple was deep in thought, mainly about on what to do with Peach if there was no cure. Her mind kept going round in circles on the worse outcomes that could befall them. At first Apple didn’t see Daisy walking towards her but when she finally did at the corner of her eyes when she saw her waving.
She turned her head towards Daisy and asked, “Well? Did you get what we came for?” “Sure did, this is what we came for” answered Daisy as she raised her hand with the red box above her head. Apple looked at her hand and she couldn’t see anything. “What do you have in your hand?” asked Apple as Daisy was a foot away from her. “A red box which contains the cure to Peach’s growing problem” answered Daisy. “Really? So what is it? What’s the cure?” asked Apple as she sounded pleased as she held out her hand for Daisy to climb on. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you” answered Daisy as she climbed on. “Just try me” said Apple with a smile as she climbed herself back onto her feet.
Meanwhile back at Giant Land,
“Is there anything else you be needing, Princess?” asked the maid as she stood a couple of feet away from Peach. Peach who in turn was laying on a make shift bed, looked over at the maid and answered, “No”. “As you wish princess” responded the maid as she took a bow and left the lab. With that Peach lowered her head back down on the pillow and looked back at the ceiling of the lab. Peach just stared at the ceiling, feeling board, really board. She felt really, really, really board.
Feeling that she have nothing left to do, Peach felt she should try and get some shut eye before her friends return from their trek from the Small Lands. Slowly Peach closed her eyes and slowly felt her mind drifting off as she was listening to the soothing humming sounds of the lab equipments was making. As she was about to fall asleep, Peach heard the sudden sound of some sort of whispering sound as well footsteps echoing within the lab. Peach at first opened her left eye and without moving her head, she looked around her shrouding so she can spot whom or what caused the footsteps.
When she saw nothing, she opened her other eye and sat up. She scanned the lab from the bed and she still couldn’t see what caused the sudden sound of footsteps. “Must be in my head” said Peach to herself as she slowly rested her head back down on the pillow. As soon as she closed her eyes, the sound of footsteps echoed throughout the lab. Peach shot up and scanned the lab once more and again she saw nothing. Still believing that it’s all in her head, Peach placed her head back onto pillow and closed her eyes.
After a while, Peach noticed that there wasn’t any sound of any sort of footsteps which pleased her as she was drifting off to sleep. But that didn’t last very long as the sound of footsteps suddenly echoed through the lab once more. Only this time they were sounding a lot faster and even louder than before. Peach at first tried to ignore it, then she folded the pillow over her ears so that it could mute the noise as much as possible. That didn’t work, as Peach could still hear them.
In frustration Peach sat up and screamed for the noise to silence. Due to her size, they whole lab shook, despite the enlarging effect the lab have; it still shook like an earthquake was taking place. Peach was breathing heavily as she looked at the lab and she could still not see what was causing the footsteps. She noticed that the footsteps couldn’t be heard anymore. With that, she lowered her head back down more again. Then on cue, the sound of a footstep echoed briefly within the lab.
Fed up, Peach simply snapped, “Will you please be quiet!” “Oh I’m sorry for disturb you princess” spoke the maid’s voice. Peach looked over to the maid and said, “Sorry…I just keep hearing footsteps” “Footsteps princess?” asked the maid as she sounded confused. “Yeah…must be in mind…just to be sure, are you sure you didn’t see anyone or anything some in here?” answered Peach. The maid shook her head, “No nothing came in here princess. Beside if something were to come in here would need either me or the Princess Apple to unlock the entrance” “Oh okay then” said Peach. “If there anything else you need just let me know” said the maid as Peach turned round and closed her eyes.
As Peach was about to drift off once more, she heard the sound of the door to the lab opening, believing at first that the maid have left but noticed that the door didn’t make a closing sound. Suddenly she heard the sound of footsteps entering the lab and then the sound of someone sipping some sort of drink. Before Peach opened her eyes to see who was making that noise, she heard the sound of someone chuckling to itself. It took another sip of its drink before speaking out.
“Well, well, well, not feeling so good now are we. Huh, Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom?” asked the being, in a familiar voice which echoed throughout the lab. Peach opened her eyes, turned her head round to face on whom spoke and saw a silhouette standing by the entrance of the room. Slowly Peach saw that the person took a step towards the giant bed she was in, showing Peach whom the person was more clearly. “What…it’s you?” said Peach as she looked down at the familiar person whom just smiled up at her with a grin.
Act 5- Prelude of the Stage
Peach looked at the familiar person with her face slowly turning blank. Peach slowly sat up and turned her head to her right and squinted her eyes as she’s trying to remember whom that familiar person was. “Well?” asked the familiar person as the person was getting annoyed with the way the princess was looking at the person. Peach turned her head up straight, opened her eyes normally and smiled at the person, “I’m sorry but who are you?”
“What!” shouted the familiar person, “What do you mean ‘who are you?’” the person said this while making its voice sound as close it could to sound like Peach’s voice. “Excuse me?” asked Peach as she felt that person was being rude. “Oh please! How could you forget me? Well sure we only met and fort only once in our life…but still, that doesn’t stop all those fanfics about me now does it!” answered the person as the person crossed its arms. “Well sorry I guess that that this is just another so called fanfic where we just so happen to meet again” said Peach as she rolled her eyes. “Yep you got that right sister!” said the person as it pointed towards the princess. “Well then, can you please tell me and the readers who you are?” asked Peach as she crossed her arms.
“Oh yes, of course, of course where are
my manners,” said the person as it took a bow, “It’s so nice to see you again
Princess Peach for it I Valentina have come to kidnap you” Peach looked at
Valentina and saw her standing back up with a smile on her face.
“You kidnap me?” asked Peach as she
pointed towards herself. “Yep” answered Valentina as she nodded. This caused
Peach to laugh a little; her time of laughing was cut short when Peach suddenly
sneezed. The moment that she sneezed, Peach suddenly gained an extra five feet
of height, making her a hundred and five feet tall.
“Well…” said Peach as she looked down upon her new height and then
looked down at Valentina, “So how were you
planning on kidnapping me anyhow?”
“Why I’m glad that you asked me that princess,” answered Valentina as she clicked her fingers, “Come here boys!” Peach suddenly heard the sound of planes echoing throughout the area. “What’s that?” asked Peach as she looked around the room in a panic. “Oh you know full enough,” answered Valentina, the two of them just looked at each other for a while, with the sound of planes still echoing. “Hay will you idiots hurry it up!” shouted Valentina as she looked over at the entrance. “Yes mam” echoed two voices. Peach looked at the entrance and saw that there were a swarm of what she could tell were oddly shaped planes flying into the room. Due to Peach’s size, she couldn’t tell if they were real planes or just toy planes.
“Okay boys time to tag our prize” said Valentina as she looked up at the swarm of planes which were flying around Peach. “Yes mam” said the same two voices from before. Peach looked at the planes and saw that they each released what she could tell were different coloured ribbons. “Not good” said Peach to herself as she saw where all of this was going towards. All of the planes spiral all around Peach, making each on the ribbons that the planes have wrapping around her. Peach tried to break free from the different coloured ribbons but found that they were too tightly wrapped around her. “Hmm, good, good” said Valentina as she rounded a sound of applaud at the planes that were still spiralling around the princess.
“Bravo people, bravo, now take her back to base with haste” said Valentina as she walked towards the entrance. “Yes mam” said the same two voices from before. The planes lifted Peach from her bed and slowly flew out of the room. “You’re not going to get away with this! You hear me! Valentina!” shouted Peach as she looked down at Valentina as she flew pass her. “Oh so who’s going to stop me hmm?” laughed Valentina as she waved Peach goodbye. “After all, the others that were here are already taken care of” Valentina said as she walked herself out of the lab. As she was making her way out, she saw a rope ladder hanging by the entrance. Once she reached it, she climbed up a little and then shook the rope a little to signal that she’s ready to leave.
And just like that, she and her forces was gone along with her was Princess Peach.
Meanwhile,
Just a few miles away from Giant Land’s Castle,
Apple with Daisy in her in hand had just popped out from a warp pipe. The two of them looked out at the castle with a smile on their faces. The smile on their faces is due to them having a cure to Peach’s trouble. As soon as Apple was making her way back to her castle, Daisy looked out at it and saw something strange. “Hay Apple….what’s that?” asked Daisy as she pointed towards the castle as some things were flying away from it. “Huh…that’s what I like to know” answered Apple as she took out a telescope and looked through it.
“Should I ask where you’ve been storing that?” asked Daisy as she looked at Apple looking through the telescope. “I shall tell you later where I been keeping it…oh my!” was all Apple said. “What? What is it?” asked Daisy as she slowly looked back at the objects that were flying away. “They’re kidnapping Peach” was all Apple could say. “Say what? How can they kidnap her? With her size and all that” said Daisy as she was shocked to hear that. “I’m not sure myself but we got to stop this from happening!” shouted Apple as she ran as fast as she could towards the castle.
“We’re not going to reach them in time!” shouted Daisy as she saw that they weren’t getting closer to the castle as she saw Peach being flown away. Knowing that to be true, Apple slowed down while still heading towards the castle. She whispered to herself, “Darn it” “What was that?” asked Daisy as she heard Apple say something. “What oh…nothing, Daisy, nothing,” said Apple as she looked at Peach getting smaller into the distance, “Come on, we best see what became of the others”
With that Apple with Daisy headed on off towards the castle. Once she entered the castle, she noticed that the whole place was irately quiet; it was as if there was no one home. “We are back in your castle are we?” asked Daisy as she to notice the quietness of the castle. “The kidnappers, they must have done something” answered Apple as she wondered through the hallways. As she was wondering through each hallway, looking for some form of life, till she found herself within the throne room.
“Apple look!” shouted Daisy as she spotted someone lying on the floor near the two thrones. Apple looked at whom Daisy pointed at and saw that it was one of the giant maids. She rushed over towards the maid, knelt down and gently raised her head. She placed her left ear to the maid’s mouth and heard that she was breathing. “She’s still alive” said Apple as she looked over at Daisy whom was placed onto the floor moments before helping the maid.
“That’s good, then this means that we’re dealing with the normal kind of kidnappers right?” asked Daisy as she looked at Apple as she gently put the maid’s head back down. “I guess so…but why any kind of kidnapper would try to kidnap a giant, let alone a still growing one” answered Apple as she had a confused look on her face. “Yeah…you have a point” said Daisy as she too looked confused. “Come, we best find if there’s anymore more people like this” said Apple as she shook her head. She moved over towards Daisy, picked her up and placed her on her right shoulder.
They wondered through the rest of the castle and found more people, of different sizes, big and small laying on the floor unconscious. “Whoever did this, knew what they were doing” said Daisy as she saw the huge amount of people lying on the floor. All Apple could do was nod. They found themselves after wondering throughout the castle, outside where the lab stood. They slowly entered and saw that the inside was tidy. It was so tidy that it looked like no one was using it for some time.
“Is it me or does this place look bigger?” asked Daisy as she took note at how far the walls and ceiling appear to her. “She must have grown while were gone” answered Apple she too noticed the walls and ceiling being farer away than before. “So…Apple…what’s the plan?” asked Daisy as she slowly looked at Apple. Apple didn’t look at her; she just walked towards one of the monitors with a keyboard and started pressing a few keys on the board. “What are you doing?” asked Daisy as all she saw was that she was busy typing like crazy. Once she finished inputting the last code, she said, “This, this is the plan, Daisy” Daisy looked at the monitor and saw what she type in have a screen of the world map with a blinking dot which was slowly moving east.
“Okay, what is this?” asked Daisy as she looked at Apple. “This is where Peach is” answered Apple as she pointed at the blinking dot. “Right…how you were able to do this?” asked Daisy as she was even more confused. “Oh I just activated the tracking device that Peach has on her” answered Apple as she placed Daisy down onto the table surface near the monitor. Daisy just stared at Apple. “What?” was all Apple asked as she saw the way she looked at her.
“When did you...Peach… have a tracking device?” asked Daisy. “Oh about the time when I gave Peach that Megavitamin” answered Apple. “Megavitamin…waits a second; you mean to tell me that you had Peach swallow a tracking device” said Daisy as she was shocked at hearing that. “Yep, though it was more of the doctor me version of doing that; it’s just a feeling I got” said Apple as she looked back up at the monitor. “So your saying is that during your time as being Doctor Apple, you thought of having Peach swallow that device for no reason?” asked Daisy.
“Well, no, not for no reason…I guess…I guess she thought that something like this were to happen and included it in their just in case” answered Apple. “Just in case huh, okay fine…fine. So what is the plan?” asked Daisy. “What else, we’re going to save her” answered Apple as she looked down at Daisy. “Save her, how are we going to do that? Can’t we just have Mario and Luigi go do the saving” said Daisy. “I’m afraid we don’t have time to wait for them to arrive in order for them to save Peach. The tracking device will then no longer work as it has a limited life span” said Apple.
“So this is the only open window we got huh” said Daisy as she was saddened to hear this. “Yes it is, come I get us prepared” Apple said as she turned away from the monitor. “Hay what about the people that have been knocked out?” asked Daisy. “Leave them with me” spoke a familiar voice. Both princesses looked over where the voice from, which was at the entrance of the lab, and saw that it, was one of the maids. It was the maid that was with Peach before her kidnapping.
“Are you sure?” asked Apple as she looked at her worried. “Yes your highness, that bird hair woman just caught me off guard; I shall see to it that the others are taken care of” answered the maid as she took a bow. “What was that you say?” asked Daisy. “What was it I said?” asked the maid as she was confused about the question as she looked at her. “You said bird hair woman…is that who attacked you all?” answered Daisy. “Yes I did say that, and yes that woman attacked us all with some sort of knock out gas” answered the maid. “So that’s how everyone was out cold” said Daisy. “Yes, I’m sorry about the Mushroom Princess kidnapping. Would you like me to collect the chest?” said the maid as she slowly looked towards Apple.
“Yes, thank you, we need as many as we need, enough for the two of us” said Apple. The maid took another bow and left the lab. “So a bird hair woman is the one that kidnapped Peach, Daisy,” said Apple as she looked at Daisy, “You know anyone with bird like hair?” Daisy took a moment to think about it and after a few seconds and answered, “Bird hair, do you mean feathers like hair or a bird as hair?” “Bird as hair” answered Apple. “Well…I can only think of one, I remember that Peach was telling me a story of how she, Mario and a few others saved Nimbus Land from a woman that wanted to take control of it. She said that this woman had bird for hair and drinks martinis” answered Daisy.
“Really, are you thinking that this woman is the one and same?” asked Apple. “Could be, then again, I never seen this woman so I don’t really know” answered Daisy as she looked up at Apple as she was pacing back and forth. “Hmm, I think I know who it is” said Apple as she suddenly stopped in her tracks. “You do? Who?” asked Daisy. “Well I met her a few years back, during the time that I held the Christmas Gala” answered Apple. “Yeah and?” asked Daisy. “To put simply, during that time she took over my Christmas duty” answered Apple. “Really, so what was her name?” asked Daisy. “Her name was Valentina” answered Apple. “Valentina? Are you sure?” asked Daisy. “Yeah…that is her name, but I wonder why she would do this?” Apple answered as she looked worried.
“Hmm, me to, what is there to gain from kidnapping Peach in her current conduction?” said Daisy. “Yes, my thoughts exactly, I guess we find out later” said Apple. Just then, the maid returns with a chest and said, “I’m back” Apple and Daisy looked at the maid as she stepped inside the lab. She placed the chest a few feet away from Apple. “Thank you, please go see to the others” said Apple as she stepped towards the chest. The maid took a bow before leaving the princesses alone.
“What’s in the chest?” asked Daisy as she Apple slowly opening the chest. “What we need to use to save Peach” answered Apple as she reached her hand inside and pulled out something. “What’s that then?” Daisy asked as she saw Apple looked at the object in her hands. Apple turned round and faced her. Daisy saw the object in her hands was a Golden Mushroom; it was big enough to fit within her hands. “What’re you going to do with that and don’t you need some sort of kart to use it?” asked Daisy.
“Kart,” Apple said as she shook her head, “Where we’re going, we don’t need karts for this, we’re going to use this along with the rest” she said this as she looked over her shoulder and looked at the chest. Just then the Golden Mushroom disappeared in a blink of an eye. “What just happened to that mushroom?” Daisy asked as she was shocked at what she saw. “I just added it into my inventory, think of it like what Link does with all those items he carries with him” answered Apple as she smiled at her. “Really? You’re going to store all those things in that chest in your inventory?” asked Daisy as she saw her reaching back inside the chest.
“Pretty much, Daisy, where is Peach right now on the monitor?” asked Apple as she was busy with the contents within the chest. Daisy turned to look at the monitor and saw that it was still have a blinking dot along with the map of the world. “Still heading east” she answered, still looking at the monitor. “Right then, Daisy are you ready?” asked Apple as she stood up straight and closed the chest. Daisy turns to look at the giant princess and answered, “I’m ready but what are we going to do?”
“We’re going to rescue Peach by breaking into whatever stronghold that’s keeping her and bust her out of there” answered Apple as she made her towards the monitor. “You make it sound so easy” said Daisy. “Yes I do don’t I, huh, I hope this doesn’t jink anything” said Apple as she looked down at Daisy and picked her up. With Daisy in hand, Apple took one last look at the monitor, she noticed that the blinking dot have slowed down a bit since she first looked at it.
“They must be getting near to their stronghold” said Apple as she turned the monitor off and marched off out of the lab. “Then it should be easy to spot, oh by the way, Apple,” said Daisy as she looked at her, “How are we going to catch up to them?” Apple looked at her and answered, “We’re going to catch up to them with this” With her free hand, the Golden Mushroom from before appeared in the palm of her hand. “Really? But I thought you can only that on karts?” asked Daisy as she looked at the mushroom confused. “True, under normal terms it can only be used on karts but, it can be used by us if certain requirements are met” answered Apple as she looked at Daisy with a smile.
“You really found the requirements to use the Golden Mushroom?” asked Daisy. “Yep, and I’m going to prove it, now then, we must be facing east to use this” answered Apple as the Golden Mushroom vanished once more as she was making her towards the castle. As they were walking through the castle, they noticed that the servants that were out cold were nowhere to seen. “The maid must have gathered them all into a safe place” said Daisy. They wondered through the castle some more and came across the ballroom, which was full of people. Some were lying on their backs, some sitting up while others were up and about. Some of them that were up so they could help out those whom couldn’t stand.
“I’m been meaning to ask but where’s Prince Hugo?” asked Daisy as she couldn’t see the ruler of Giant Land anywhere. “Oh he had some business to sort out” answered Apple. “Really, guess it’s a good thing that he wasn’t here to see all this” said Daisy as she looked back at Apple. “Yeah…don’t want him go through all that again” said Apple. “What do you mean?” asked Daisy. “You remember that time that you and the girls grew to giant size due to the waters of the pool” answered Apple as she looked at her. “Oh right, now I remember. Sorry” said Daisy. “Why are you saying sorry? It wasn’t you that knock him out cold during the whole event, it was that pirate woman” said Apple as she made it outside of the castle. “Yeah I know, just feel sorry that he missed out for the whole thing” Daisy said as she saw that Apple was heading towards empty field that had the Warp Pipe they just been through.
“Hold on moment while I stretch my legs” Apple said as she stopped walking; place Daisy down onto the ground as she began stretching her legs. “Don’t want them to ache when this is all over” she said as Apple was stretching. Once she stretched enough, she shook both legs and looked down at Daisy. “So how are we going to catch up to them?” asked Daisy as she looked confused. “Like I said,” Apple said as the Golden Mushroom from before appeared in her hands, “I am going to be using this to speed run across the land towards where the stronghold is and then….well I leave that as a surprise” “Really?” asked Daisy as she raised an eyebrow.
With a squeeze of the Golden Mushroom, Apple’s clothes change from her stranded red dress into a gold dress and her tiara changed into a fully fledged crown. Daisy noticed that Apple was sparkling all over. “Kinder wished I had some shades on” said Daisy as she had to squint her eyes. “Why’s that?” asked Apple as she looked at her confused. “Because it’s hard to look at you with you sparkling all over” answered Daisy. “It’s not like I’m vampire you know” laughed Apple. Daisy rolled her eyes as she said, “Okay let’s get going before we include more Twilight jokes” “Oh didn’t know that Miss Sparkle she was coming along” said Apple all jokily. Daisy looked up at her with a confused look on her face. “What?” asked Apple as she shrugged her shoulders as she knelt down to pick her up.
“Let’s go before we add any more filler in this act” said Daisy. “We were doing filler? Okay then,” Apple said as she raised her hand above her head and dropped Daisy in the centre of her crown, “best hold on tight, as things will be fast moving” With that said, Daisy wrapped her arms within Apple’s hair as it was made her feel safe. Apple looked at the direction of where the airship was heading towards and began jogging towards it. Her pace changed from a jog into an over the top sprint which was getting faster and faster. Daisy took note at how fast the scenery flew past them as they appear as blurs to her.
Just then she could hear the sound of cling like sound. Daisy looked at the direction they were heading towards and saw a golden aura shaped like a circle forming in front of Apple. Before she could ask what was happening, Apple suddenly did a hop, then a skip and then before she made her jump, Apple’s golden dress vanished and was replaced with white dress with a red stripe running across the bottom. She was now wearing a red bow tie and has bunny feet instead of her sandals. The most notable features Daisy saw was that Apple’s crown changed back to her red tiara and that suddenly she has white bunny ears towering above her. At that moment that she jumped, she leaped high into the sky and just she was about to fall back towards the ground, Apple’s ears began to flap which have caused her descent to slow down dramatically.
“How did you do this?” asked Daisy as she looked at the flapping rabbit ears. “Through the use of a carrot” answered Apple as she was making sure that she was heading east. “So that was the surprise” Daisy said to herself as she slowly looked away from the rabbit ears. “Daisy can you see the airship? Based on how far I just ran, we should be near it” asked Apple. Daisy took note at what asked of her, climbed up and looked over Apple’s tiara. She saw that they high up into the sky and they were above the sea. They were far, far away from land. “That was fast” Daisy said to herself. Daisy began to look ahead of them to see if she could spot the airship. She saw nothing at first, until she saw something moving below them. At first Daisy thought that it was a ship but realised that due to them being high up, the ship looked far too big for her to see as she could see so much detail of it.
From that moment, Daisy knew what it was as she inhaled deeply. “There! There it is!” shouted Daisy as she pointed towards the ship. Apple quickly looked down and saw the airship which Daisy was pointing at and saw that it was shaped like a blimp. “Okay Daisy, best hold on tightly,” said Apple as she slowly flapped her rabbit ears which caused her to decreased altitude, “Things are going to get bumpy” Daisy grabbed hold of Apple’s hair as she descend towards the airship.
“Hang on Peach. We’re coming to save you!”
Act 6- To Trek within the Belly of Goliath
Meanwhile, approximately thirty minutes before Apple and Daisy set off to rescue Peach,
High above the vast sea, a set of toy planes carrying the ever growing mushroom princess were headed towards their home base. Their home base was a giant airship, in which they were approaching. Their journey back wasn’t easy as the giant princess, whom just grown a little bit more since they left the Mushroom Kingdom as she was trying to break free. Despite knowing that she was above water, all Peach wanted to do was be free from her captures.
The giant airship was insight and they were approaching at full speed. Once they were within distance, the sound of radio frequency buzzed in upon one of the planes. Peach could hear a muffled voice from one if the planes as it answered in the frequency. Peach looked at the giant airship and saw how big it was compared to her as she was being flown slightly above it. To her, Peach felt small, really small. Upon her look of the airship, Peach saw that it was a blimp like design with what she could tell was take off platform on it back.
This made her feel that there was an army of sorts living inside. Just then, she saw that she was being lowered down towards the right side of airship and saw that she was being led towards the carrier that was attached to the blimp. The carrier was just as big as the blimp itself. She then noticed that were an enormous hatch door on the far end of the carrier as she headed towards it.
“Let me go! Let me go I’m warning you all!” yelled Peach as she was trying her hardest to break free from the rainbow coloured ribbons as she started to panic. She saw to her horror that the hatch opened up inwards and that she was being led inside it. Peach still tried to break free as she saw that she just entered the airship. Once entered, Peach noticed that they were flying in complete darkness for a while and was surprised that they haven’t crashed into anything yet. Just then the lights began to flicker till they stayed on. “In you go princess!” shouted one of the pilots that were flying the toy plains as they were slowly lowering Peach inside a giant cage. Once in, each of the planes released their attachments to the mushroom princess and flew off out of the room.
Standing by the entrance of the room, Valentina stood there with her arms crossed and had a smirk on her face.
“Why are you doing this?” asked Peach as she looked down at Valentina as she entered the room. “I’m doing this because of you dear” answered Valentina as she stood at the bars, looked up and with her arms crossed. “Me? Why? What did I do?” asked Peach as she felt knew what the answer was. “Silly princess, that’s really silly of you to say that. I mean you know why I’m doing this” answered Valentina as she smiled at her. “I do, do I? It’s not what I think it is?” Peach asked as she crossed her arms.
“Yep, Princess Peach, princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, you have what I want” answered Valentina as she pointed at her. “That is?” asked Peach as she raised an eyebrow. Valentina just shrugged and answered, “Really princess, playing ignorance. That isn’t going to help you, not in a long run” “I have no idea what you are talking about!” snapped Peach as she went over to the bars and held onto them. “Fine,” sighed Valentina, “have it your way”. Once she said this, Valentina snapped her fingers and a trio of Snifits entered the room.
“You summoned us?” asked one of the Snifits. “Yes, you guys…make our princess. Sneeze!” answered Valentina as she looked over her shoulder. “Wait a minute” Peach said in a panic. Valentina looked over to her. “You know what happen when I sneeze” Peach said as she lowered herself down to Valentina’s level. “Of course I know. I know what the cause of your problem is, but don’t worry about the room. We helped ourselves to the good professor’s inventions some time ago; so you can sneeze all you want” answered Valentina. “What?” was all Peach could ask. “Okay you guys!” ordered Valentina as she turned towards the Snifits and her way towards them.
“Make her sneeze as much time as you can and get me what’s within that imprint. I don’t care how big you make her, just find that imprint!” ordered Valentina. “As you wish mam!” said each of the Snifits as they went off towards the cage. Valentina watch on as she saw the Snifits, made their way towards the cage and said, “By the way princess! Welcome onboard the Goliath. My darling’s favourite toy” With that Valentina left the room, leaving Peach alone with the Snifits as they each were holding objects that can make her sneeze.
Meanwhile at the present time, high above the Goliath,
Daisy held on as tightly as possible as she found herself dangling from Apple’s hair as they were dropping from high altitude. She felt that her tiara was about fly off her head and become lost to obscurity of the ocean. “That would have taken me over a month to find it if it fell off” thought Daisy as she held onto it. Apple looked towards her target, which was the airship, once she felt it was safe enough; she sprung out her rabbit ears and flapped them. She genteelly landed onto the surface of the airship which to her surprise was big enough for her to stand on that make her feel small.
She felt strong winds, so strong that she felt that her feet were sliding a little on the surface. If she weren’t carful, she, Daisy or the two of them would fall off. “You okay Daisy?” asked Apple as she felt Daisy moving within her hair. “Yeah…I’m fine” answered Daisy as she slowly stood up and rested herself against Apple’s tiara. “That’s good” said Apple as she knelt down, trying not to be spotted by any of the guards that could be on duty. Apple scanned the surface of the airship to see if there was some way for them to get inside. She spotted what looked like an elevator platform for the planes to enter and leave the airship.
“I found our way inside” Apple said as she was making her way towards the elevator. Each step she made, she made sure to lose her footing. Even Daisy could tell about the high winds were giving Apple trouble moving. She even felt that her tiara was about to be blown off again. Once Apple made it to the elevator, she scanned it looking for some way to activate it. She looked and saw what looked like a switch but she noticed that it’s too small for her use.
“Daisy, I’m going to need you to push this switch” said Apple as she knelt down and plucked her up from her head. “Waa!” shouted Daisy as she quickly grabbed hold of her tiara as well as how she felt the full force of the wind. “Okay Apple” was all Daisy said as she looked up at her. With that, Apple with her hand wrapped round Daisy held her towards the switch. With a push, Daisy triggered the activation of the elevator. Once Apple felt the elevator moving she place Daisy onto the floor.
Once the elevator moved in deep enough of the floor, the two princesses found that everything was dimming down and then it went completely black. The sound of the elevator moving could still be heard while they were in the dark. They were in darkness for only for a few seconds as light began to flicker around them. There the two princesses could see where the elevator was taking them. Below the elevator, they each saw an army of human size toy soldiers. Among them were toy planes, each of them stationed alongside them.
“Hmm….there too many enemies for us to handle. Even with my size, I won’t be able to last long against them” said Apple as she looked out and saw all the enemies that were on patrol. “Then what are we going to do? We just got here and can’t even past the first stage” Daisy said as she too looked out. “It looks bleak. Really bleak, but…” said Apple as she looked down at Daisy. “But what?” asked Daisy. “I believe I have something that will help us with our problem” answered Apple as she was searching through her inventory.
Daisy looked at her as she saw a power up mushroom appear in her hands. She looked at it and saw that it was different than the Super Mushroom, instead of its usual red cap with white polka dots and pair of eyes. It had a black cap with purple diamonds and a sinister looking grin. Daisy felt unease when she looked at it. “That’s not a Poison Mushroom is it?” asked Daisy as she knew what the answer was going to be. Apple looked at the mushroom in her hands and answered, “Nope, it’s not a Poison Mushroom, it’s a Dark Shroom”
“Okay…” was all Daisy could say as she looked at the Dark Shroom and saw that it had a faint purple aura emitting from it. “I believe that it’s best to show rather then tell as to what this does” said Apple as she smiles at Daisy. “Why? What does it do?” asked Daisy as she looked at Apple with a raised eyebrow. Apple didn’t answer her and looked at the Shroom and squeezed it. Once squeezed, the purple aura that it was emitting latched itself onto her hands and began to spread all over her body.
Daisy looked on at the giant princess and saw that she was engulfed in purple light. While she was watching, she could swear that she could hear a low dreary sinister sounding music and that everything around them were getting darker. Then she saw that the light faded away and what stood there was Princess Apple, but she wasn’t wearing her normal attire dress. Her dress and tiara becomes black, her heart bracelet was replaced with a skull and her sandals turned black with small heels. The most notable change was the colour of Apple’s eyes, which turned from green to purple.
“Erm Apple?” asked Daisy as she looked at the giant princess. Apple glares down at her, which makes Daisy feel smaller as she felt scared. “Yes Daisy?” asked Apple as her voice sounded threatening. “It’s just that…” answered Daisy as she couldn’t find the words for her to speak. “What’s the matter? Does this form make you feel,” asked Apple as she knelt down and picked Daisy up with her right hand. Raised her hand close to her face and finished off saying, “Scared? Does this form make you…uneasy?”
Daisy looked at her purple eyes, which
was once green and felt that she was unable to say anything. She just nodded her
head in agreement. Apple titled her head to the left and said in the most
terrorising voice she spoke in,
“Good…then, this shall be perfect for what’s to come”
Daisy closed her eyes and asked, “Why?”
“Why?” asked Apple as she raised her Daisy above her
face and placed her within her tiara,
“It shall make things a lot easier to deal with those
toys as well as our way through this airship as I can strike fear upon all those
that look at me”
“Okay…I believe you. Hope this works” said Daisy as she looked down from Apple’s tiara and saw that the elevator was about to reach the bottom. “Fret not friend, this shall work” Apple said as the elevator reached the bottom. It didn’t take long for the toy soldiers to spot Apple at the elevator as each one suddenly rushed over towards her. Once they were at a foot away from the giantess, they each aimed their weapons towards her and was about to open fire until they saw a glint shinning from her eyes.
“Here we go” said Apple as she made her way towards soldiers with a grin. Daisy looked on and saw that each of the soldiers lowered their weapons as each of them trembled. The soldiers looked at over at the towering princess and stood there in fear as they looked at her in the eyes. Daisy saw this and said, “Wow…that does make things easy”. As she said this, she saw the lights that were emitted within the area of the airship they were in were dimming down till they were dimmed enough for people to be able to see.
”Need some light?” asked Apple as she held her right index finger in front of her. With that said, Apple caused a fireball to appear on the tip of her finger. Daisy saw that the fireball was purple instead of the normal red. This caused the soldiers to run away from her at the sight of the purple flames. “This really make things easy” said Daisy out loud as she saw the soldiers fleeing, Once the soldiers had fled, Apple raised her finger to her lips and blew the flame away.
With that the area began to light up again. Once lit, the princesses saw that the soldiers were nowhere to be seen. “How did you do that with the lights?” Daisy asked as she looked around her to see that each of the light bulbs was working. ”that’s just a side effect that comes with this form, it make things grow dark if I will it” answered Apple. “Okay” was all Daisy said as she caught eye of an entrance door.
“Now, we must find where peach is being kept” said Apple as she too saw the entrance to the hallway. With that Apple made her way towards the entrance. “Don’t know how you’re going to fit through?” said Daisy as she how big Apple was compared to the door. “If needed I shall make a new door” Apple said as she cracked her knuckles while she looked at the wall next to the door. “Don’t draw too much attention to ourselves!” yelled Daisy as she saw Apple raised her right fist ready to punch the wall. Before she was about to, to both their surprise they saw that the entrance was expanding.
It stretched high up till it reaches the top of the giant princess’ head. “This seems familiar” Daisy said as she raised a eyebrow as she saw that the entrance was now big enough for Apple to way through. ”well this is lucky, these guys seem to be copying the professor’s invention” said Apple as she looked at the entrance from head to toe. “I guess so, anyway, we must go before those soldiers inform others about our arrival” said Daisy. With that Apple began to walk through the corridor as quietly as possible.
She sneaked through the corridors, not knowing where she was going. During her time trekking through, she noticed that not once did she encounter a soldier or did she saw any security cameras within the corridors. “Where are the soldiers?” asked Daisy as she too noticed the lack of security. “Don’t know…this makes me feel unease” answered Apple as she was still sneaking through the corridor she was in. As she was about to reach the end of the corridor, she stopped a foot away as she could hear the sound of laughter which came from the corner.
Apple dimmed down the lights in the corridor she was in till she and Daisy were in complete darkness. The corridors ahead of them were the only one that had lights on. Apple and Daisy looked on to see who would appear before them. To their surprise, they saw a duo of Snifits instead of the soldiers. The princesses remained silent as they could hear the Snifits talking among themselves. “Who would have thought that making a princess sneeze would make her grow?” said one of the Snifits. “Yeah I know right but Valentina ordered us to do it” said the other Snifit.
As the princesses were watching the
Snifits, Apple noticed that one of them acted as if they could hear something.
“I don’t know why but some reason I’m hearing this dreary music like
something sinister is coming our way” said one of the Snifits as he looking up
at the ceiling as he was marching his way through the corridor along with the
other. Just then, they both felt a chill down their spine and froze in their
steps. The two of them slowly looked down the corridor beside them and saw two
purple eyes piercing through the darkness. They heard heavy breathing coming
from it. Just then, a towering figure emerged from the darkness.
“Is she friend or is she foe. The little Snifits wonder.” Apple spoke as her voiced echoed throughout. The Snifits looked on in fear as they can see her eyes staring at them as. They felt that the temperature have dropped even more as they can see their own breath. Apple took another step towards them as they saw her breath was blocking their vision of her face. But the eyes, those violet eyes, were piercing through the mist of her own breath. “I can assure…I am no friend.” She said as she placed her hands on the walls. The Snifits looked at her hands and saw that she was making a dent along with some cracks as she was pushing against them. “I am princess apple and I will take back my friend which you guys have taken from me not so long ago!” Apple said this as her voice turned sinister.
The Snifits didn’t say a thing as they just stood there in fear. “PERHAPS THE LITTLE SNIFITS NEEDS SOME Persuading in order to make the right choice.” She said this as she held her palms out in cup formation in front of her and two purple fireballs were cupped inside them. The Snifits looked at the fireball and then looked at Apple as she had an eerie smile across her face. “Run away!” screamed the Snifits as they turned round and ran. Their path was then blocked by a wall of purple flames.
“You shouldn’t have done that, you don’t want meet a
terrible fate do you?” said Apple as she took a step
towards them as more flames emitted from her right palm. They turned round and
looked up at the towering princess; each of them shook their heads. With a click
of her fingers from her left hand, the wall of purple flames died down and
ordered,
“Then lead us to where our friend is being kept held!”
“Follow us” said the Snifits at the same time as they lead the way. As they were walking through the corridor, Daisy noticed that the Snifits were acted a bit shifty. She saw that they were whispering among themselves. Daisy whispered to Apple, “The Snifits are up to something” Apple took note of what she said and tried to listen in on what they whispering about.
“I know we did a lot of things to find that marking but what about …” whispered the Snifit to the other. “Shh! Don’t want her to know about him and what we found!” whispered the Snifit as he stuck it arm in front of its snout. ”what are you two talking about?” asked Apple. The Snifits looked over their shoulders and answered at the same time, “Nothing” “They’re hiding something” said Daisy as she looked at the Snifits looked back ahead. Apple nodded her head in agreement.
After a while of following the Snifits, they were led towards an entrance. On the entrance there was a sign that reads, ‘The Belly of Goliath’. The Snifits turned round and faced the princesses and one of them said, “This is where the princess is being held””Good” said Apple as she looked at the entrance and then looked at the Snifits whom were looking back at her, ”fine open this door and you two may leave. Tell no one that we’re here got it!” With that the Snifits did what they were told and opened the door and then they rushed off.
With the door open, Apple took a step inside the room and saw that it was gigantic. “Wow…I feel incredibility tiny” Daisy said as she how gigantic the room is to her. ”I just feel small” was all Apple said as she reached her hand to her tiara and picked Daisy up. With Daisy in her hand, the two of them looked out into the distance and saw what they could tell was to be a cage. “Is that where Peach is being held at?” asked Daisy as she Apple began to make her way towards it. ”I guess we’ll find out” Apple said as she was a foot away from the cage and saw how big it compared to her.
The moment that Apple stepped forward towards the giant cage, a bright light reflected through the bars and which bathed her. Apple shielded her eyes from the light and tried to look at where it reflected from. “Apple?” asked Daisy as she looked up and saw that her appearance has changed. “What is it?” asked Apple as she looked at her. As she looked at her, Apple caught a glimpse of her sandals. She saw that they were back to her normal footwear; Apple then looked at her dress and saw that they were back to her normal red dress.
“Did it wear off?” asked Daisy. “The only way for the effects of the Dark Shroom to wear off is to be bathed in bright light” answered Apple. “Then that reflection” said Daisy as she looked up at where the light reflection came from. “Yes…because of that, I’m back to normal,” Apple said as she too looked at where the light reflection came from, once she saw, her eyes widen, “Oh…my” Within the cage, the two princesses saw a gargantuan pink wall and saw they slowly looked at what’s above the wall, which wasn’t easy as the wall kept on rising higher and higher. The two of them looked as high as they could and can barely see the top but from they can see, the believe that she could see something made out of gold which was shinning off a light refection down at them.
“Is that…it is. What did those Snifits do to her?” asked Daisy as she looked over to Apple. “Don’t know Daisy but whatever Valentina made them do, they made her bigger when we last saw her” answered Apple as she was still looking up. “What are we going to do then?” Daisy asked. “First thing we ort to do is get her attention then we can cure her” answered Apple.
“Hay Peach! Peach can you hear me!” shouted Daisy as she looked on from behind the bars. Daisy looked up at the gargantuan sized princess; waiting for her to say something but after a few seconds of no respond, “HAY PEEEEEEEAAAAACCCCCHHHHH!!!!!!!” boomed her voice. This worried Apple as she knew that would have alerted the guards if the Snifits had informed other about them as to where they were. “Hmmm” echoed a loud voice from high above. Daisy looked at Peach and saw that she was looking down at the bars.
“Daisy…?” was all Peach said as she squint her eyes. “Yeah it’s me! We’re here to rescue you!” shouted Daisy as Peach was slowly laid down onto her front. “The one that kidnap me was Valentina” said Peach as she looked at them worried. “Hmm, it’s just as I thought” was all Apple said as she crossed her arms. “You knew?!” asked Peach as she was shocked at hearing that. “Yeah and that those two Snifits pretty much said gave them the order to” answered Apple.
“Two? But there were three Snifits that made me grow” said Peach. “What did you say?” asked Daisy. “Three Snifits did this to me. They made me grow in order to find the imprint,” Peach said as she looked at her right index finger, “They found it and took something from it”. “They took something from the imprint… we only found two Snifits with the corridor and they weren’t carrying anything” said Apple as her eyes widen, “So where is the third?”
Meanwhile,
“Good you found it” said Valentina as she looked at the Snifit whom was holding onto a glass jar. The two of them were within the bridge of the Goliath; among them were a bunch of other toy soldiers. Each one of them was working keeping the airship afloat. The Snifit walked up to Valentina and handed her the jar. With the jar in hand, Valentina raised it so she can get a better look at it and saw that were was a little flower seed. “With this I shall be close to reaching my goal,” Valentina said as she grinned at the seed within the jar.
Act 7- Like
the Old Saying Goes
“We worry about the third later. Right now we should be looking for a way
to get her out!” said Daisy hastily as she looked at Apple.
“You’re right,” was all Apple said as
she looked at her and then looked up at the cage. She scanned the cage in order
to get a better look at it, she was trying to see if she can spot some sort of
weak spot. As she was still looking, she spotted something at the bottom that
appeared out of place on the cage.
Apple moved her way towards it, knelt down to get a better look at it.
“What is it?” asked Daisy as she saw what she was doing.
“This thing appear to not belong to this cage” answered Apple as she
was still trying to make out what it is. “Really, let me see” was all Daisy said
as she looked over at the object. “What do
you make of it?” Apple asked as she looked down at her.
“It looks like a lock” answered Daisy as she leaned in closer to look.
Apple moved her hands closer to the object. Daisy reached out to the object and
grabbed hold of it. “Yep it’s a lock alright” said Daisy as she tried to tug it
off. “Really? Then allow me” said
Apple as she tilt Daisy onto the palm of her left hand. With her free hand, she
grabbed hold of the lock with her thumb and index finger.
Apple began to tug the lock away but found difficulty in doing so. With
that Apple placed Daisy down on the floor so she could try to pull it off with
both thumb and index fingers. No matter how hard she tugged the lock, even with
her strength, it wouldn’t bunged. “That not work” spoke a male voice coming from
the entrance. The three of them looked over at whom spoke and saw a heavy
bearded pudgy looking man standing by the entrance of the room.
“What are you doing here Wario?” asked Daisy as she looked at him. “Me no
Wario! Me am Booster!” answered the man as he took a step inside the room.
“Really? You really do look like him you know” Daisy said. “Many have said that
me look like the he. Me is me, while he is he!” snapped Booster. “Okay, okay
calm down, calm down” Daisy said as she took a step back.
“Ye want to open lock yes?” asked Booster as he looked over at Apple.
Apple looked at him with a raised eyebrow and answered,
“Yeah” “Ye want this then” said Booster as he held a golden key
above his head. “Thanks that really save us a lot of trouble” Daisy said as she
took a step towards him as Booster held the key in front of him. As soon as
Daisy was a foot away from him, she was about to reach in to pick up the key,
Booster quickly took the key in hand towards his mouth.
In that second, Booster placed it inside his mouth and swallowed it.
Daisy looked at him dumbfounded and said, “You ate the key? Why! Why would you
do that?” “Ye want key? Ye catch me!” answered Booster as he turned round and
ran out of the room. Daisy give chase. The moment that she took a step outside,
she saw that Booster was nowhere to be seen.
“Where did he go?” asked Daisy as no matter which direction she looked,
she cannot see cannot see Booster. Just then she heard the sound of what she
could make out to be a train coming from the corridor. Daisy looked over where
the sound was coming from and to her surprise she did in fact saw a small train
coming towards her. She even noticed that there was tracks magically appearing
on the floor in front of the small train.
What shocked her even more was the sight of Booster riding on the small
train. “All on board me love train!” yelled Booster as he drawing nearer to the
princess. Daisy jumped to right as
she saw that the train was headed towards her. Once he zoomed past her, Daisy
looked at Booster and yelled at him, “Where on earth did you get that train! Get
back here!” She even saw the train tracks fading away as he was driving off.
Apple took a deep sigh as she stood up and made her way to the entrance, poked
her head through and saw Daisy.
“Leave this to me. Keep Peach some
company” Apple said as she entered the corridor. Daisy did what she said. Booster
looked over his shoulder and saw Apple. “Where is yellow one?” asked Booster as
he saw that Apple was making her way towards him. Due to Apple’s size she was
able to reach Booster with a few steps. “No good” said Booster as he saw how
close the giant princess was getting to him. He looked ahead and fiddle around
with the controls of the train in order to make it go faster.
Just as he was about to accelerate, Apple’s giant foot came crashing down
in front of him. This caused him to crash his train onto Apple’s heel. With
that, Apple raised her foot to the side, knelt down and picked up Booster from
the train with her thumb and index finger. With a grin on her face, Apple raised
her hand with Booster closer to face. With Booster dangling by the collar, he
looked at her and said “No fair! Ye cheated!”
“How did I cheat?” asked Apple as she stood up and was made her way
back to the room.
“Ye used your size. It not fair!” answered Booster as he pointed at her.
Apple entered the room. Daisy and Peach looked on and saw that Apple had caught
Booster. Apple made her way towards the cage, placed her other hand underneath
Booster and said to him, “Well since I
caught you no matter how you look at it, it’s time for you to give us back the
key” Booster hung his head as he knew that he has to give up the key. “Fine”
was all Booster said as Apple dropped him onto her other hand.
Apple looked at him as he put his hands into his pockets and fiddle with
them. He took his right hand out which he held it out above him. Apple saw that
he was holding onto something and that it was glittering.
“Is that the key?” asked Apple as she pointed at the object that he
was holding. “Yeah…” was all Booster said. “But I saw you eat that” said Daisy
as she pointed at him. Booster looked over at her and said, “That was a golden
wrapper chocolate key” “What?” was all Daisy could say.
“A chocolate key? They make those?” asked Apple as she looked at him
confused.
“Yeah…me job were to keep ye busy” answered Booster.
“Busy? Keep us busy from doing what?”
asked Apple. “Keep ye both busy long enough for me wife to get ye thing”
answered Booster as he looked at Apple.
“You mean the thing that those Snifits took from me!” Peach said as her voice boomed throughout. Booster looked over at the
cage and saw that Peach was holding onto its bars as she gave him a stern look.
Booster just nodded his head. With her free hand, Apple grabbed hold of the key
that Booster was holding onto.
“Huh? Ye didn’t say please” was all Booster said as he looked up at
Apple. “I shall say thank you instead”
Apple said as she looked at him. “But?” Booster said as he was trying to reach
for the key. “No buts, now be off with
you” said Apple as she lowered her hand onto the floor. “What?” was all
Booster could say. “You heard me, be off”
ordered Apple as she tilted her hand to the side, which caused Booster to
tumble over.
Once he tumbled over onto the floor, Booster climbed onto his feet and
looked up at Apple, “Ye not nice” With that he turned round and dash out of the
room. “Why did you let him go?” asked Daisy as she looked at Apple.
“Cause we got what we need of him”
answered Apple as she looked at her. “Right, but what if he informs those guards
we saw earlier?” asked Daisy. “Then more
the reason we get Peach out of here” answered Apple as she made her way over
to the cage.
Once she made it up to the cage, with the key in hand she looked for and
found the lock. “Hold on let me” Daisy said as she saw that Apple was going to
have trouble getting the key into the lock due to her size. Once Daisy made it
up to Apple, whom in turned picked her up and handed her the key. Apple drew her
hand close enough to the lock for Daisy to reach. Once Daisy inserted the key
and turned it, the lock came undone.
Just like that, with her free hand Apple grabbed hold of the lock
in-between her index and thumb and was able to yank it off. With that, Peach
pushed the bars away from her which caused it to open up. Apple, with Daisy
still in her hand took a few steps back in order to avoid Peach’s foot as she
the towering princess took her first step out. Once Peach was out of the cage,
she began to stretch her muscles.
“Boy, you guys have no idea what’s it
like cooped up in that cage” Peach said as she stretched her arms.
“Right,” said Daisy as she rolled her eyes, “never been locked up in a cage
before huh” Peach suddenly thought back to the time when Daisy was held captive
by Tatanga and how Mario went in and how he saved her and her kingdom.
“Sorry Daisy…didn’t think for a moment there” said Peach as she tried to see where Daisy is.
“None taken. So come on girls let’s get out of here” Daisy said.
“That’s easier said than done, how are am I going to get out of here
without causing a panic and harming the people down there” said Peach as she pointed downwards.
“Hmm, yeah I see what you mean,” Apple said as she placed Daisy onto
the floor, “I believe that we ort to cure
you now” “Cure her now? But we’re still inside the enemy base. We need all
the fire power we could get so we can ensure we get out of here safely” Daisy
said as she looked up at Apple.
“Fire
power?” asked Apple. “Peach towers over everything within this airship. Those
toy soldiers would run away screaming upon seeing her” answered Daisy.
“I don’t want Peach to be used as any sort
of weapon. Besides I rather pick the safety of everything and everyone.
Especially with Peach, I want her to be safe knowing that hasn’t harmed anyone”
said Apple as she looked at her and then looked up at Peach.
“What about Valentina? You heard Booster. He was stalling us in order for
Valentina to get her hands on whatever that thing is” Daisy said as she crossed
her arms. “As much as I want to go and
stop whatever it is that Valentina has planned but right now we need to sort out
our growing princess” said Apple as she took out a familiar power up. Daisy
and Peach look at her and saw that in her hands was a Megavitamin.
“Time for the doctor to make another house
call” Apple said as she held the Megavitamin above her head and crushed it.
The two of them looked at Apple as they saw her being engulfed in purple
dust once more. Apple looked at the dust as it
was sprinkling around her, again seeing the shine from within the dust cloud.
Slowly Apple felt a jolt of familiar knowledge circuiting through her head; she
suddenly knew many things that she didn’t know before. Before she could grasp
the new found knowledge she temporary gained, she saw that the clothes that she
was wearing were glowing a bright purple shine.
Suddenly her eyes were blinded by the same coloured shine, but only for a moment
as she could see once more. Blinking a few times, Apple noticed that she was
looking through something, like she was looking out of a window. It dawned to
her that she was once again, wearing a pair of glasses. Slowly the giant
princess looked down at her clothes and saw the familiar long white jacket with
a stethoscope hanging from her neck. She also noticed that she no longer wearing
her golden sandals but was instead being replaced with a pair of red heels.
“Welcome back doctor” said Daisy as she looked up at the giant doctor.
Apple looked down at Daisy, placed her hands in her pockets and said,
“It’s good to be back,” she looked at
the area she was in, “It seems we’re far
away from the lab” “Yeah…a lot happened but its thanks to you that we’ve
been able to fine Peach with that tracker you gave her” Daisy said.
“Ah so my hunch was correct. Now I take
that I’m back, you were able to find cure?” asked Apple as she looked back
at Daisy.
“Yeah, we were lucky that the King had a few left” answered Daisy as she
placed her hands inside her pockets.
“Yeah so what is this magical mystery cure?” asked Peach as she looked at Daisy. Daisy looked up at her, with a grin
she took out the small box, which contains the cure out from her pocket. “Well
you wouldn’t believe what it is,” she said as she opened the small box and
looked inside, “Teeny tiny apples”
“Apples?” asked Peach as she raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, it’s like that old saying”
answered Daisy.
“Oh I know
what you mean” said Peach as she grinned down at her.
“Right
then,” said Apple as she made her way over to Daisy while looking at Peach,
“I do believe that it’s time to get you
back to normal”
“Yeah, you
know what? It feels like it’s been three years since this all started” said Peach as she rolled her eyes.
“Know the feeling, anyhow can you pass me the apples love” said Apple as she
looked down at Daisy and knelt down. Daisy did what she was told and made her
way over to her with the small box in hand. Apple held her right hand out for
Daisy to place the small box on her palm. Apple looked at her palm and she
couldn’t see the small box, but she could feel it.
“Right then I get started” said Apple
as she stood up straight.
Apple clenched her hand with the small box until she could feel the small
box breaking. Once broken, Apple slowly opened her palm, looked at it and saw
green mist coming off her. Then the mist, began to vacuum together to make the
shape of a Megavitamin. Within that moment, the mist took the physical form of a
Megavitamin. “Ready to take your
medicine?” asked Apple as she grabbed hold of the Megavitamin and then
looked at the gargantuan princess.
Peach nodded as she held out her hand for Apple to climb on. Once on,
Peach raised her hand up close to face. Apple looked at her and was amazed on
how small she was compared to Peach. ‘So
this must be how others feel when I do this to them’ thought Apple as she
felt the high winds blowing against her due to Peach’s breathing. Taking in a
deep breath, “Can you open your mouth wide
please love?” Apple yelled.
Apple saw that Peach did what she was told and opened her mouth as wide
she can. Peach then raised her hands closer to her mouth. Seeing that her mouth
open wide, with the Megavitamin in her hand, flipped it onto her right index and
balanced it. She pointed her right index towards the mouth, with the Megavitamin
still balanced as if it was hovering on the tip of her finger.
“When I say,
swallow, you have swallow okay!” ordered Apple as she aimed her right
index. Once Apple feels that she has the perfect shot, she fired the Megavitamin
towered her mouth. The pill landed on Peach’s tongue.
“Swallow now!” ordered Apple as she
lowered her hand. Peach hastily closed her mouth and swallowed, despite the fact
that she couldn’t feel the pill.
Once swallowed, Peach blinked for a while, expecting to instantly shrink
down to her normal size.
“What’s
going on? Why haven’t I shrunk? Did it even work?” Peach asked
as she looked at Apple as she took her glasses off and took a handkerchief out
from pocket. “It will take a few moments
for the cure to take effect. So have no fear, you won’t keep growing” said
Apple as she looked at Peach while cleaning her glasses with the handkerchief.
“That’s good to hear” said Peach as she took a breath of
relief.
Within seconds, Peach did a hiccup which shook the whole room.
Once the room stopped shaking, Peach saw Apple grew a little. She blinked
a few times and asked,
“What just
happened?” Peach looked at Apple with her eyes widened as she saw her putting her
glasses back on. Apple was able to tell that Peach has shrunk a little.
“Hmm, it seems that as the cure is
detoxing your body, in order to release the pollen from the flower it must
perform a hiccup” Apple said as she looked at her with a smile.
Suddenly Apple a familiar feeling as she shook her head. “Apple?” asked
the two princesses as they both looked at her. Apple stopped shaking her head
and saw that the clothes she was wearing was beginning to glow purple. “Here
we again. I see you girls later” said Apple as she was covered in the purple
glow. She was blinded briefly before she could see again. She noticed that she
didn’t have anything covering over her eyes; she looked down and saw that was
wearing her normal red dress and sandals.
“Welcome back” Peach said as she looked at her. After she said this, she did another
hiccup. “Thanks…looks like you’re coming
along nicely” said Apple as she saw that Peach was smaller than before.
Peach then lowered Apple down onto the floor. As Apple got off her hand, Daisy
looked at up at Peach and asked, “You see me now can’t you?”
“I can see you, barely” answered Peach as she looked at her and
squint her eyes a little. “That’s good, hay I got a message to give you” Daisy
said as she smiled up at her.
“You do,
from whom?” asked Peach. “It’s from King Small” answered Daisy.
“What did he want to say?” asked Peach. “He wanted to say that he’s really, really sorry for
everything that has happened” answered Daisy.
“Thanks for telling me. Once this is all
over, I shall make a visit to Small Land” Peach said
as she smiled at her. “I think he’ll like that” Daisy said as she saw Peach
hiccupped again. She shrunk down a few more sizes. “So now what we do Apple?”
asked Daisy as she looked over to Apple. Apple looked at her confused. She
crossed her arms, slowly looked up at Peach then looked back Daisy. “What do you
mean?” she asked.
Daisy looked up at Peach and said, “We got Peach back, we’ve just given
her the cure. We all should escape from here” Daisy turned to face Apple.
“Yes we should but I can’t help but feel
that something is wrong” Apple said as she looked at her.
“I feel it too” Peach said as she looked at two of
them. Daisy looked at the floor, “Yeah I know what you mean,” she said as she
looked up at the giant princesses, “but what should we do?”
“Well I like
to know as to why she kidnapped Peach despite her size” answered
Apple.
“She kidnapped me in order to get something from me which came from this
imprint” said Peach as she looked at her right index. “Plus
the question on why it’s so special that Valentina have to go this far?” Daisy
asked as she crossed her arms. “The most
important question is, ‘how did Valentina know about the flower’ in the first
place” said Apple as she looked at the other two.
“Yeah that’s kinder bothering me as well. King Small made sure that the
information about the flower to never reach outside his kingdom” Daisy said as
she remembered her time in Small Land.
“Too many questions to be left unanswered,” Apple said as she marched her
way towards the entrance, “We need
answers” Apple looked over her shoulder.
With that Apple went marching out into the corridor, the others followed
after her. As they were marching through, the three of them came across a couple
of toy soldiers whom were patrolling. The princesses hastily hid behind the
corner of the corridor, they noticed that they haven’t spotted them. “What’s the
plan?” asked Daisy as she looked up. Before Apple could give her an answer,
Peach hiccupped once more.
Which shook the whole area, this alerted the toy soldiers. “You couldn’t
hold it huh” said Daisy as she looked up at Peach and saw that she’s gotten
smaller.
“Sorry” was all
Peach could say as she covered her mouth.
“Doesn’t wherever she did that or not,” Apple said as she over her shoulder
at Daisy and then Peach, “I was looking
for one of these guys anyway” Once she said that, Daisy and Peach watched
Apple walked out from the corner and into the toy soldiers’ line of sight.
Apple made her way towards the toys, she saw that they were taking a few
steps backwards as if they were scared of her.
‘I must have met these toys when I using the Dark Shroom’ thought
Apple as she was a foot away from them. The toys flinched when they saw that
Apple was about to move her arms. They saw that she raised her hands up, she was
looking down at them and said, “Take us to
your leader”
“What is she doing?” was all Daisy could say as she and Peach watch on.
Meanwhile,
“Me sorry” said Booster as he looked at Valentina. “Sorry for what?”
Valentina asked as she was looking at the jar. “That me wasn’t able to keep
those princesses from getting the pink free” answered Booster as he looked at
the floor. “That doesn’t matter,” she said as she saw that the seed within the
jar was tilting back and forth, “I got what I want, and I don’t care what the
princesses do now”
Valentina picked up the jar, turned round to face Booster. Booster looked at the jar and saw that it was splitting. He looked up at Valentina with a grin. “It’s begins, now it will only be a matter of time for it to take form” Valentina said as she looked down at the jar and saw that something green was bursting through the cracked shell of the seed.
Act 8- The Actions of no Regrets
“What
now?” asked Booster as he looked at his wife. Valentina turned round and placed
the jar down onto a round table that was within the bridge of the airship. She
then picked up a martini glass and took a whiff of the liquid inside. “As I
said, it will take time for this to full bloom. With that we shall wait”
answered Valentina to her husband as she looked over her shoulder. “But that
boring. Me want something to do” moaned Booster as he crossed his arms. “If you
want something to do, why don’t you go see what those princesses are doing”
Valentina said calmly.
As
Booster was about to what she suggested, he went up to the entrance of the deck
but was stopped in his tracks. He saw that the entrance was expanding in size to
a towering height. Before Booster was about to say anything about the increased
sized entrance, a toy soldier came marching in.
“Mam, we
have captured Princess Apple” spoke the toy soldier as he entered the bridge.
Valentina looked at the toy and saw the giant princess behind him, with another
toy soldier following behind her. “Forget what I said Darling, just stay in the
corner” Valentina said as she looked over at Booster, whom did was he was told.
“Well, well. I wasn’t expecting you to be here. After saving the Mushroom
Princess, I would have thought that you would have left” said Valentina as she
walked up and grinned at Apple. “You know
why I’m here Valentina” Apple said as she stopped walking. “Oh? Do I
princess? Be a dear and tell me” Valentina said as she raised her martini glass
towards her.
“I’m here about the flower” Apple said. “Hmm…flower?
Sorry your highness, but I don’t sell flowers” laughed Valentina.
“You know full well what I mean!”
snapped Apple. “In a foul mood I see, sometimes you have to smile in situations
like these” Valentina said as she took a sip of her martini.
“Why’s that? There nothing for me to be
smiling about to” said Apple. “True, for you it’s not a smiling matter but
for me; for me on the other hand,” Valentina said as she looked over by the
entrance, “Because it looks to be that I’m the one that’s holding all the cards”
Apple
took note of the way she said that and looked over at the entrance and saw a
bunch of toy soldiers leading Peach and Daisy into the bridge of the Goliath.
“What are you two doing here?” asked
Apple as she looked at her friends’ being led to stand next to her. The toy
soldiers matched back at the entrance.
“You didn’t really say what
the game plan was. You just went and gave yourself up” said Peach as she looked down
at her.
“Yeah,
what were we suppose to do? Hijack a plane as an escape plan?” asked Daisy as
she looked up at her. “That goes without
saying…well at least that what I
thought I said” Apple said as she looked over at
Valentina. “Well excuse me princesses!” spoke Valentina as the princesses all
looked over at her, “I believe that it’s rude to talk among yourselves”
“You’re right Valentina, I guess this the
moment that you’ll going to give a speech?” asked Apple as she crossed her
arms.
“Speech?
Why on earth would I want to do that?” asked Valentina as she took another sip
of her martini. “She mean isn’t that what all villains do when they have capture
the heroes, or in this case,” answered Daisy as she put her hands on her hips,
“the heroines” This caused Valentina to chuckle. “You really think you’re the
good guy in all of this? Please! If you have known the things I do, then in
comparison; I’m the hero while you three are just side characters in all of
this” answered Valentina as she walked away from them and headed towards a round
table at the far end of the bridge.
“What do
you mean by that?” asked Peach. Valentina made her way up to the table and looked at the
object that was sitting at the centre. There at the centre was a glass jar. She
leaned over to it and picked the jar up. “In hindsight, you girls won’t even
grasp what I’m on about with the lengths I had to go through” Valentina said as
she looked inside the jar and saw the seed. “Hey try us bird head!” snapped
Daisy. “Oh does the ‘Hi I’m Daisy!’ doesn’t like it when I talk like this?”
Valentina calmly as she looked over at her.
“Okay, calm down both of you” Apple said as she knelt down
and looked at the two of them. “Always the calm one I see,” chuckled Valentina
as she looked up at Apple, “Getting back to what I wanted say. Why are you girls
here? You got everything you came for. Why get caught straight away after curing
the Mushroom Princess?” “We’re here learn
how you know and to stop you from using the flower” answered Apple. “I guess
you would want to do something like that” said Valentina as she placed the jar
back down on the table.
Valentina
then turned round and looked at the princesses,
“I guess
you all are wondering as to how I gain knowledge of the flower? As I said to the
Mushroom Princess, we helped ourselves to the professor’s inventions when
building darling’s favourite toy. Unknown to you guys, the inventions we stole
were linked up to the professor’s other gizmos. In this case, how we gain
knowledge of the flower is due to you princesses inputting the data within his
computer” answered Valentina.
“Really?”
was all Daisy could say. Valentina just nodded her head, “Not only that but the
data input within the computer was able to perform its own research and found
many things”
“Which
are?” asked
Peach. “Based on that question, I take it you girls didn’t look at it. Very
well, it learned that the flower doesn’t need to plant it seeds with the soil of
the earth. Those that breathe it the flower’s pollen has also been seeded”
Upon
hearing that, Peach’s eyes widened. “You understand now why I kidnapped you”
Valentina said as she made her way towards Peach.
“But that doesn’t answer to why you want the flower in the first place.
Why go through all that trouble when you know the problems” Apple said.
“I did all this, all of this because I want to… well…you guessed it, take over the world” said Valentina as she smiled at Apple. “OF COURSE!” shouted Booster as he looked over his shoulder. “Yes thank you darling…I doubt there are people that will get the reference” Valentina said as she rolled her eyes. Apple looked at Daisy with a confused look on their faces. “See” she said as she pointed at the princesses.
“That’s your plan? To use the flower to make yourself a giant just so you can rule the world? That’s got to be the weakest plan I ever heard!” snapped Apple. “Yeah why not use those ultra mushrooms, it would have been a lot easier!” yelled Daisy. “Yeah there’s no need to go through all that just to extract the seed from me!” screamed Peach. “You girls really don’t understand” tut Valentina as she rolled her eyes. “Try us, explain!” snapped Peach.
“No need. There’s haven’t been the need to explain to you girls and there will never be. It’s pointless to even try” Valentina said as she shook her head. “Is she saying we’re stupid?” asked Daisy as she felt a bit annoyed. “If that helps you to grasp on what I’m saying,” Valentina said as she looked over at Daisy, “...then yes” “Okay that’s it, let me at her!” screamed Daisy as she was about to rush over to Valentina with her fists clenched.
She was stopped by Apple’s giant hand, blocking her path. Daisy looked up and saw the giant princess shook her head. Daisy took note and stepped back. Apple raised her hand and looked at Valentina with a stern look on her face. “Why did you do that huh? With your giant size you could do anything you want. Why ally yourself to the normal size folks?” asked Valentina. “Because they’re my friends long before I turn into a giant” answered Apple.
“Really; that’s a sad answer. Once I become a giant myself, I shall have my own fun against the people of Nimbus Land” chuckled Valentina. “That’s cruel” said Peach. “So what, they be the first to taste my wrath after what that those cloud people did to me” Valentina said. “You tried to take over Nimbus Land. After Me, Mario and the others stopped you, what did the people of Nimbus Land ever do to you to deserve that kind of treatment?” asked Peach. “Why, for not letting me take the throne” answered Valentina as she grinned at her.
“If you do this, you will become trapped by your malice!” shouted Apple. “So what! What do you girls know, huh! I want to rule the world before ‘HE’ takes action and make everything and anything pointless!” said Valentina as she held onto the jar tightly. “What do you mean by that?” asked Apple. “Oh you will know soon enough, soon enough. It’s a shame really. You best enjoy the time you got left while your lips are still red” answered Valentina as she looked at the jar. “Why?” asked Apple sternly. “Nothing, it’s nothing… forget what I said!” answered Valentina as she hastily moved away from the giant princess.
“If all this was because of your desire to rule the world then,” Apple said as she made her way over towards Valentina, the soldiers backed away from as she making her way. Apple cracked her knuckles and screamed, “This is what I think of your plan!” With that said, with a full thrust, Apple sent her right fist hurdling down upon Valentina. Valentina dived out of the way, looked over shoulder and saw the impact of Apple’s fist as she raised her fist. Apple looked back down at Valentina as she rubbed her knuckles.
“What do you think you’re doing!” screamed Valentina as she looked down at the jar and then back up at Apple. “All I did was sent out my anger upon you with everything you have done towards my friend” Apple said calmly as she took a step towards her. “Stay back!” Valentina ordered as she held a free hand towards the giant princess. “Or what?” asked Apple as she took another step. “You soldiers! Open fire at the princesses!” ordered Valentina as she looked over towards the soldiers.
The soldiers looked at each other, nodded their heads and faced towards the princesses with their weapons in hand ready to fire. Peach knelled down and held onto Daisy, Daisy held onto her back and both of them closed their eyes as they heard the safety came off. “YOU WOULDN’T DARE!” roared Apple as she looked over at the soldiers. This shocked everyone within the room as her voice caused the area to shake. “Looks like some traits of Dark Apple must have rubbed off on her” whispered Daisy as she held her ears while Peach was still holding her. The princesses opened their eyes and looked at the soldiers and saw that their kneels were shaking as they dropped their weapons. “You move away from them if you want to keep your parts in one piece” Apple said in a stoic tone of voice.
The soldiers looked over at Apple and nodded. They moved away from the princesses. “Now as for you!” snapped Apple as she looked over towards Valentina and saw something that shocked her. Valentina was nowhere to be seen. “Where did she go?” asked Peach. Everyone was scanning the room, trying to see where Valentina “Wait there she is!” shouted Daisy as she spotted her making a run for it through hatch that was on the floor at the far end of the bridge. Once she opened it, she jumped in and dashed away deep within its tunnel. “Why is there a hatch at the end of the bridge?” asked Peach as she did another hiccup.
“Me wanted an escape tunnel” answered Booster whom was still within the room by the entrance. The princesses looked over at him. “You know I kinder forgot that he was still here” said Daisy nervously. “Yeah…me too” Peach said as she too said it nervously. “Alright Booster, where does that so called escape tunnel lead to?” asked Apple as she pointed towards the hatch. “It leads…oh! Me not telling!” answered Booster as he grinned at her.
Apple gave him a cold look as he said that. Booster felt a great chill down his spine as he knew he said the wrong thing. He took a step back, held his hands up and said, “Me sorry, me sorry please no bad stuff” “Best tell us where it leads to” said Daisy as she looked at him and then up at Apple’s icy stare. “Okay….it leads to the deck” answered Booster. “That’s better, okay Booster thanks. You may leave” said Apple as she looked at him normally.
With that said, Booster turned round and rushed out of the room. Apple closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After a minute, she opened her eyes and ordered “Daisy I want you and Peach to escape from here!” Apple said as she looked over at her. “How?” asked Daisy. “With what you said earlier, hijack one of their planes if you can,” answered Apple as she went through her inventory and brought out a fire flower, “Here, this will make things easier” she said as she tossed the power up over to her.
Daisy saw that the fire flower which was huge when Apple held it; it shrunk down to a manageable size for her hold. Once she caught it, “Well this should make things easier” “What about you?” asked Peach as she looked over at her friend. Apple looked over at Peach and saw that she’s almost match her own height. “I’m going after her and stop Valentina from using the flower” answered Apple as she smile at her. “Okay…you be careful” said Peach.
“You know I will, the same will be said about you two. Don’t worry about me, I still got a power up that allow me to fly” Apple said as she gave her friend a smile. With that the three princesses looked at each other and simply nodded as they all knew what they’re going to be doing. “We’ll see you later” Peach said as she turned round and to the leave the room with Daisy. “Right” said Apple as she turned round to the hatch. As she approached it, she saw that the hatch was expanding big enough for her to enter.
She looked over her shoulder and saw that her friends have made their way out of the bridge. With that, Apple climbed down the hatch and chased after Valentina.
Meanwhile on the other side of the hatch leads to,
Valentina made it out of the hatch and made it out onto the deck of the Goliath. Valentina was able to move around the deck due to the Goliath not moving. Without it moving, there weren’t high winds to blow her away. Valentina, with the jar in her hands began to make her way onto deck as she was headed towards the elevator that was on the far side of the deck. As she was making her towards it, she suddenly heard the sound of the hatch open and close.
She looked over her shoulder and saw Apple standing by the hatch. Valentina hastily makes her way towards the elevator. Apple took a moment to look at area she had just entered and she instanced recognise the place. It was the first place she and Daisy landed on. Apple took note that it was night time as the light that could see was that of the full moon. With the moonlight, Apple saw that Valentina was making her escape. With that Apple began to chase after her.
“Where are you going to go? There’s nothing here to run away to” said Apple as she chasing after Valentina. Valentina stopped in her tracks and turned round with the jar tightly in her arms. Apple took a scan around the deck and took note at her shrouding. “There really isn’t anywhere for you go to is there? I suppose you forgot all about E. Gadd’s invention in your hasted escape attempt” stated Apple as she pointed over her shoulder at the hatch door. Valentina, looked away as she took a moment to think everything that Apple had said. Her mind clicked as she knew she was right.
“What are you going to do huh?” asked Valentina as she looked back. “Simple really,” answered Apple as she stopped a few feet away from her, “I’m going to make sure you don’t use that flower when it blooms” Valentina looked at her with a raised eyebrow and asked ”How are you going to do that?” Surprised at what she said, Apple chuckled a little and answered, “You know, I haven’t got a clue. Really I don’t. It felt like it been years to think on how to stop you during the chase”
“So what are trying to say?” asked Valentina. “What I’m saying is this. I can’t stop you from using the flower. Nothing I or anyone else is going to say will change your mind” answered Apple as she sat down. Valentina looked at her confused as to why she’s sitting down with her legs crossed. Valentina noticed that Apple was looking around the deck. Before she was about to ask Apple what’s she looking for; the giant princess butted in.
“However!” she said loudly as Apple looked back at Valentina. This startled Valentina as she wasn’t expecting a loud outburst. “While stopping you with words won’t work, there other ways” Apple said as she slowly climbed back onto her feet. “You’re not going to what I think you’re going to do. I mean you tried to hurt me with physical violence back there!” Valentina screamed. “For that, I’m sorry I’m normally level headed and don’t resort to violence but what you did for the sake of your goal. You just pushed all the wrong buttons” said Apple as she stood up straight.
“What are you going to go then? How are you…” said Valentina as she noticed something shiny within the jar. She saw that the stem from the seed was beginning to form into a flower with a red bud. “Almost time huh?” asked Apple as she took note at Valentina’s interest in the jar. Valentina slowly looked up at Apple and stated, “Yes. Soon…it will blossom and I’ll reach my goal” “Very well, I’m going to ask you this once more. Stop this, don’t use the flower” said Apple.
“If I say no?” asked Valentina. Apple took a deep sigh and said, “I want you leave that flower behind and leave the deck” “Wait…what?” Valentina said as she wasn’t expecting that kind of answer. “You heard me Valentina. It’s your choice after all. Leave the flower behind or not” Apple said as she looked around the deck again. “Okay!” snapped Valentina, “You are starting to annoy me! What are you looking at?” Apple smiled as she slowly looked back down at Valentina.
“We’re currently above sea water, so I have nothing to fear upon the action that I’m about to do” Apple said as she smirked at Valentina. Valentina felt uneasy when she saw that look. Before Valentina could say anything, she saw Apple with a Hammer Bros. Suit suddenly within her hands. “What?” was all Valentina could say as Apple powered up the suit. In a blink of eye, Apple’s clothes changed from her normal red dress into a dark armoured suit with her navel showing, her crown changed into a helmet and on her chest plate was a red apple insignia.
Valentina took note that Apple was wielding a sledgehammer in each hand. Valentina looked up at the towering iron clad giantess and she didn’t know what to think of. “I suggest that you give the order to your goons to flee off this airship” said Apple she saw Valentina taking a step back. “Why should I do that huh? What are you going to do!” shouted Valentina. Apple with her right hand raised the sledgehammer and said, “Because I’m going to bury this airship to the bottom of the ocean and with it, it will take the flower down along with it”
“You’re mad! You’re utterly mad! What about you huh! Did you think about that!” shouted Valentina. “Worry not of myself but of you. Whatever you choose, the flower will be buried under water. Best flee while you can” answered Apple as she swung her sledgehammer down onto the surface. “You’re insane!” screamed Valentina as she ran away from impact that the sledgehammer have made. Apple didn’t say anything as she raised up her other hand and began to hammer the surface again. “Fine! Fine have it your way!” Valentina screamed as she placed the jar onto the floor, turned round and fled as she headed towards the elevator.
Apple looked on with a grin as she knew what she was doing was mad, but she felt that it was the only thing she could do to insure the safety of her friends and rid the world of the flower. Apple raised both sledgehammers high above her head and was about to thrust them on until she heard the sound of alarm echoing throughout the airship, even up on the deck. “To all personals, evacuate the Goliath. I repeat! To all personals, evacuate the Goliath!” echoed a robotic voice which was spoken alongside the alarm.
“Good thing that she listened to me” Apple said as she could hear a faint sound of planes getting their engines ready. Apple waited for a moment before she swung the surface as she wanted to hear the sound of the planes taking off. Once she did hear them, she looked up at the night sky and saw the lights of the planes that was onboard the Goliath flying off; she took a deep breath and swung as hard as she could with the sledgehammers onto the surface.
Once they made impact, Apple saw cracks spreading all throughout the surface and then she heard the sound of loud rumbling noise. The sounds of the alarm were suddenly cut off as it was replaced by a loud collapsing sound. Apple looked on at the damage she made and gave a weak grin. She felt the armour she was wearing suddenly grew weight as she found it hard to stand. “I did say ‘not worry’ didn’t I huh,” she took in a deep breath, “guess it too late for that” Apple said in exhaustion.
Apple fell onto her kneels which caused more damage to the surface as more cracks were beginning to form. She looked on around her and saw the surface of the Goliath sinking within itself. Apple knew that it would be only a matter of time before she joins them. Apple slowly looked up with her tired eyes at the sky expecting it to still be night but saw that dawn was slowly rising. This brought a smile on her face as the effects of the Hammer suit faded away. With that, the giant princess closed her eyes as she felt the gravity of the collapsing surface and sank within the Goliath.
Out in the distance, within one of the planes that fled the Goliath, Valentina and Booster were riding inside. The two of them looked out and saw the Goliath collapsing. Booster felt himself close to tears as he saw his favourite toy being destroyed. Valentina patted him on the back as she was trying to cheer him up.
“You know, I find it a shame” said Valentina as she looked away from the window, sat back on her seat with her arms crossed. “What shame?” asked Booster as he looked at her. “Knowing the odds, I won’t get to see her face on what’s to come” answered Valentina as she saw the airship crumbling to pieces as its parts were falling towards the sea below. “What that then, it’s her birthday?” Booster asked as he looked at the airship also. “No you fool, the whole thing with Bowser,” Valentina said as she slowly looked towards her husband, “That whole attack upon Giant Land” “What you mean?” asked Booster as he raised an eyebrow.
“I heard talk, talk about how Bowser is searching for something. That something must have been hidden within Giant land. I mean why else attack one of the most powerful kingdoms of the world if the prize wasn’t worth claiming” Valentina answered as she gave him a smile. “You know what the prize is, don’t you” said Booster as he grinned at her. “Oh yes, I know full well what it is. Didn’t think it was real but at the length that the Koopa King went; it must be real” answered Valentina.
“So, what is it?” asked Booster. “Spoilers my dear, spoilers. Where’s the fun in that? Letting others know what’s to come. Besides, there’s no telling if he found it after all that effect he went into his attack and on how quickly they all were dealt with.” answered Valentina as she grinned. “No fair” mumbled Booster, “So is that why you went that far with the flower?” Valentina just looked at her husband, shrugged her shoulders and said, “Well what do you think”
Booster took a moment to think about it until his eyes lit up. “It had to do with…” he then looked over at the window to look at his airship, and then quickly looked back at his wife with a grin on his face. “Isn’t it” said Booster. Valentina nodded her head and then she just started laughing and then Booster joined in as the plane flew off into the distance, as far away from collapsing airship. Both of whom were unaware that a single plane went flying back towards the collapsing Goliath.
Act 9-Wings of a Cape Feather
Meanwhile during the moments of the three princesses as they were about to leave the bridge,
Apple closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After a minute, she opened her eyes and ordered “Daisy I want you and Peach to escape from here!” Apple said as she looked over at her. “How?” asked Daisy. “Hijack their planes if you have to,” answered Apple as she went through her inventory and brought out a fire flower, “Here” she said as she tossed the power up over to her.
Daisy saw that the fire flower which was huge when Apple held shrunk down to a manageable size for her hold. Once she caught it, “Well this should make things easier” “What about you?” asked Peach as she looked over at her friend. Apple looked over at Peach and saw that she’s almost match her own height. “I’m going after her and stop Valentina from using the flower” answered Apple as she smile at her. “Okay…you be careful” said Peach.
“You know I will, the same will be said about you two. Don’t worry about me, I still got a power up that allow me to fly” Apple said as she gave her friend a smile. With that the three princesses looked at each other and simply nodded as they all knew what they’re going to be doing. “We’ll see you later” Peach said as she turned round and to the leave the room with Daisy. “Right,” said Apple as she turned round to the hatch. As she approached it, she saw that the hatch was expanding big enough for her to enter.
With that, Peach and Daisy made their way off the bridge.
With that the two princesses were making their way towards the dock, where the planes were kept. They were trying their best to get spotted by the toy soldiers whom were still patrolling the corridors. Reaming hidden wasn’t an easy task for the princesses as Peach kept on hiccupping which alerted the soldiers every now and then. Though each time, they were able to evade them. They kept this up till they reached the dock. Upon entering, they both looked out for a plane that they could hijack.
“Hey look” Peach said as she pointed out a plane, Daisy looked over at it and saw that a Snifit was climbing on board. “Right then,” Daisy said as she took out the Fire Flower and activated it, her yellow parts of her dress turned white while her orange parts went into a darker shade, “Let’s do this” With that, Daisy and Peach made their way towards the plane, once there, Daisy climbed onboard and saw that the Snifit was by the controls. Slowly she made her way towards the Snifit, once she was close enough, she took a deep breath.
“Alright Snifit!” Daisy shouted out as she aimed her right hand towards the Snifit. Snifit panicked as it raised its arms in the air. It slowly turned round and faced Daisy. “You’re going to get us out of here!” ordered Daisy as a yellow fireball appeared in her aiming hand. “What?” was all the Snifit could say as it saw her juggling the fireball with one hand. “You not hear me? This is a hijack and you’re going to be flying us out of here!” Daisy said as she stopped juggling.
“Us?” the Snifit asked as it noticed that only Daisy was on the plane. Just then, “Hey what’s taking so long?” Peach asked as she poked her head through the door. The Snifit looked at her and screamed in fear at seeing a giant within the plane. “Got your attention now? Good. Now fly us out of here!” ordered Daisy as she aimed her hand towards the Snifit again. The Snifit didn’t even looked at her as it was busier staring at Peach as she climbed on board. Peach had to crouch down in order to fit inside.
“What? You’re not afraid of me?” asked Daisy with a raised eyebrow. The Snifit still didn’t look at her and answered, “I’m more afraid with the giant on the plane rather than you” Upon saying that, Peach giggled a little and then she did a hiccup. The Snifit looked at Peach as he saw her shrink down a little. “Okay…scratch that. It’s you that I’m more afraid of” it said as it looked back at Daisy. “That’s more like,” Daisy said as she marched her way towards it, “You best…”
She was suddenly cut off by the sound of alarms, “To all personals, evacuate the Goliath. I repeat! To all personals, evacuate the Goliath!” echoed a robotic voice which was spoken alongside the alarm. “What’s happening?” asked Daisy as she looked at the ceiling of the plane in a panic. Peach looked out of the windows and saw out in the distance that the hatches that allow the planes to leave the Goliath began to open. “We got to get out of here!” answered the Snifit as it turned round and began to start the plane’s engine. “Wait! What about Apple?” asked Peach as she hiccupped again.
Without answering, the Snifit started the plane it drove it towards the open hatch. The Snifit hit a switch next to the controls which caused the door to the plane to seal shut. With that, it began to build up speed for the plane to fly. As it was driving as fast it can towards the open hatch along side of the other planes, the Snifit noticed that they weren’t picking as much speed that the plan needed. “We’re too heavy” the Snifit yelled. Before any of the princesses could say anything, Peach hiccupped.
As Peach shrunk a bit more, the Snifit noticed that the plane was driving a lot faster. “Never mind!” shouted the Snifit. With that said, the plane was able to fly out of the Goliath. As they were going out into the distance, Peach and Daisy looked out at the Goliath and saw a whole army of planes flying away from it. Before either princesses could question on what’s happening, they saw from what they could tall was an explosive shockwave and then, they saw cracks forming on the Goliath.
“Wait…Apple! No! Oh please no!” screamed Peach as she looked on in horror as she saw the Goliath collapsing. “What caused that?” screamed Daisy as she too looked at the collapsing airship. Peach looked on hoping to see Apple was able to escape. “Fly towards it!” ordered Peach as she looked at the Snifit. “We’re going to get hit by the debris” the Snifit said in a panic. “YES!” yelled Peach as she gave him a stern look. This brought a chill down its spine. The Snifit simply nodded as he flew the plane towards the Goliath.
As they were flying towards it, the Snifit rushed from the controls, grabbed hold of only parachute and strapped it on. “Hay what are you doing?” Daisy asked as she saw it rushed towards the hatch on the far end of the floor and swung it open. The Snifit looked over and answered, “See you girls later” and jumped inside it. Just then, the sound of something heavy machinery could be heard underneath the flooring and then the sound a metal door sliding open. “What?” was all Daisy and Peach could say as they rushed over to look out of the window and saw the Snifit falling downwards like he was shot out of a cannon.
They then saw him open the parachute. “Great! What are we going to do?” asked Daisy as she looked over at the control and saw it was flailing about. With that, Daisy rushed over to the controls to keep it level. Peach looked out of the window and saw the rubble from the airship. Once Daisy kept the plane stable, she heard Peach gasped. She looked over her shoulder and saw Peach had her hands over her mouth. “What’s wrong?” Daisy asked as the plane almost reached the Goliath.
Daisy looked out of the window but she couldn’t see what Peach gasped at, she then heard the sound footsteps rushing behind her. “Hey wait a minute what do you think you’re doing?” asked Daisy as she saw that Peach was leaning against the door and held onto its hatch. Peach looked over to her and answered, “The only way I know for sure” “Sure for what?” snapped Daisy as she realised what she intended to do, “Get away from there; are you trying to get us all to lose a life?” Peach didn’t listen to what she said and went onto and turned the hatch and pushed the door open.
Just like that, the pressure from outside ripped the door off and became a vacuum, sucking the both of them within the plane to be pulled in by it.
“WWWWWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!” screamed Daisy as she found herself and Peach falling within the rubble of the Goliath.
Deep within the rubble,
A certain giant princess was falling towards her doom; while unconscious she was being hit by debris which was shrinking in size as E.Gadd’s invention no longer in effect. The debris didn’t really hurt the giant. Just then, within the echoes of high wind, a mumble voice could faintly be heard. “Apple!” This faint mumble voice stirred something inside the giant princess as she felt herself slowly coming round.
‘What’s happening? What. Feel a strong breeze of wind….where am…I? Wait!’ the giant princess thought to herself. “Apple!” She heard the mumble voice say. ‘Apple? Yes…that’s me’ the giant princess thought to herself. ‘From what I can remember…oh…right…I destroyed that airship thingy’
‘So this is it? Is this how it will all end? It must be. I…I can’t move…I can’t open my eyes.’ Apple’s thoughts repeated as she felt herself falling. “APPLE!” echoed a loud booming voice. ‘What? What was that?’ thought Apple as she felt her fingers twitched. “APPLE!” echoed the same booming voice. Apple tries her hardest open her eyes, she was able to squint them open and she was able to see. What she saw was the rumble of the collapsed Goliath scattered all around her, high above and falling past her into the ocean. She even noticed that the rubble was shrinking as they past her. This caused Apple to raise an eyebrow, before she could question it,
“APPLE!” screamed the same booming voice which sounded louder from high above. Apple looked upwards, opening her eyes fully and to her shock, she saw Peach falling towards her. She also spotted Daisy falling slightly behind her. “Peach! Daisy!” screamed Apple as she was able to clench her hands and able to move her limbs. In that moment, Apple felt a burst of energy deep within her as she rushed and took the last power up she had in her inventory. Once she drew it out, which was a Cape Feather, she looked at it briefly before she activated it. In a flash of light, the colour of Apple’s red dress changed into a sky blue and from her back, Apple sprouted a long pair of angel wings.
Peach and Daisy witnessed her transformation and before either of them could react, they saw Apple spread out her wings to slow down her descend. The princesses look at her as they saw her coming closer towards them, Apple reached out her hands and heard her shouted, “Reach for my hands!” Upon hearing those words, Peach and Daisy followed her instructions as they both reached for her giant hands. Once they landed on her palms, Apple held them close to her chest and spun round to use her wings to fly out of the falling rubbles.
Apple then dived down towards the ocean in order ride on built up wind, as she about to hit the waters, Apple sprung out her wings and allowed the wind to guild her upwards. Regaining high altitude, she looked out towards the planes and saw that they were heading east; Apple flapped her wings and flew towards the opposite direction, back towards Giant Land. “You girls okay?” asked Apple as she looked down at Peach and Daisy as she opened her hands slightly so that they won’t fall off.
“Physically I’m fine…not sure about mentally though” Daisy said as she took a deep breath. Peach hiccupped once more before she answered, “Ditto…you?” she said this as she shrunk down a lot more, almost back to her human size. “Beside from feeling like I had been stuck in some sort of cliffhanger like limbo for what I can tell must have been for six months…I couldn’t be any better, though I’m a tad bit tired” answered Apple as gave them a tired smile.
“What happened back there?” asked Peach as she hiccupped again, shrinking back down to her normal size. “Welcome back to human heights” Daisy said as she looked over at her. “It’s…a long story but we don’t have to worry about the flower” answered Apple as she looked out at the distance. Apple was able to see land as she was approaching, she could see Giant Land’s beach. Before Peach and Daisy could ask her more questions, Apple flew in closer towards the beach and she drew in close, she felt a slight pain.
“Get ready for a rough landing!” Apple screamed as she felt the strain on her wings. With that, Apple held her friends close to her as she fell towards the beach. To protect them from the impact, she turned round having her back face the beach. Upon doing that, Apple ended up dropping sooner she had expected as she and the others suddenly found themselves engulfed in water. This only lasted for only a moment as Apple felt herself being pushed by the water currents and felt her back had landed onto something soft.
Apple had found herself lying on her back on Giant Land’s beach getting soaked by the waves. Taking a brief moment to take in what had just happened, Apple felt the wings on her back slowly faded away, and she took a quick glance down at her clothes and saw that she was wearing her normal garments. Before Apple could say anything, she felt moment within her hands as she suddenly remembered that Peach and Daisy were there. She sat up and then she gently opened her hands and saw that they were completely wet.
Apple took a deep breath of relief as she saw that her friends were safe. Peach and Daisy, both of them looked at each other and saw how wet they both were. This caused them to smile and slowly stood up to look around them. They saw that they reached land somewhat safely. Apple then started to giggle which cased Peach and Daisy to topple over in the palm of her hands. This caused them to giggle as well. This then lead to the three of them to burst out into laughter. They kept on laughing for a few minutes until they all heard the sound of a roaring splash.
They all looked out far out into the distance of the ocean,
Apple lay down, placed her friends down onto her chest as she crossed her arms behind her head. “We…we made it” was all Daisy said as she laid down on her back on Apple’s chest, next to her was Peach whom laid on her chest as well. “Yeah…we did” Peach said as she looked over towards the Goliath and saw that it has finally fell inside the ocean. Apple was breathing heavily as she smiled down at her friends. “We did it…we’re…safe now” Apple said as she slowly lowered head down onto the ground. “Apple?” asked Peach as she still looked at the Goliath sinking.
“Yeah?” answered Apple as she looked up at the sky. “Thanks for everything” Peach said as she slowly sat up. “You’re welcome Peach” she said back. “What about me? I helped out too” Daisy said as she looked over. “Thank you too Daisy” Peach said as she chuckled. This too caused Apple to chuckle as well. “You’re welcome…now what…what do we do now?” said Daisy as she looked out at the final moments of Goliath as it sank. This caused Peach to slowly look over to Apple.
“Now?” asked Apple as she slowly closed her eyes, “Now we rest” answered Apple as she smiled.
Act 10: An Apple a Day
Twenty four hours
has passed since the princesses’ grand escape from the Goliath. The three of
them, when reached a safe distance, decided to rest their exhausted bodies by
resting on the coat of Giant Land. Unbeknown to them while they were sleeping,
large figures approached and carried them all to safety. It took a while but
Daisy was the first to awoken from her slumber, she noticed that she wasn’t at
the cost of Giant Land anymore.
It took her a while,
but she noticed that she was awoken in a bed and that she was within a giant
bedroom. She scanned the room and saw that Peach was sleeping in a bed next to
her. Slowly she leaned over towards her and gently tapped her on the shoulder.
At first it didn’t work, so, Daisy tapped her again and when that didn’t work,
she repeating kept on tapping her till she got a response. Peach muttered,
“No…Toadsworth…no want to go….to…school….ZZZZZZ”
“Okay that’s it”
Daisy said to herself as she climbed out of her bed and stood above Peach’s
head. Daisy cracked her fingers as she reached in and grabbed hold of Peach’s
nose and held it shut. It didn’t take long for Peach to suddenly awake as she
opened her eyes and took in a deep breath. She sat up as she brushed Daisy’s
hand off her. After taking in a deep breath, Peach looked over to her and said,
“What the
heck was that for!” “I
needed you to wake up” answered Daisy as she went back to her bed and sat on it.
Peach looked at her
for a while and then she looked at the area she was in. “Wait a tick, weren’t we
on a beach?” asked Peach as she raised an eyebrow. “Took you long enough to
notice…but yeah, we were on the beach when we escaped” answered Daisy as she
scanned the room they were in. “Someone must up taken us to a safe place” Peach
said as she climbed out of bed. Before they could say anything, the two of the
heard a loud moan.
They looked towards
the direction of the moan and they saw a towering white wall with what they
would tell were brown vines spooling out from the top. They looked at it; they
could hear the sound of someone breathing from it. “That must be Apple” said the
two of them as they looked at each other. “We must be back in Giant Land’s
Castle” Peach said as they looked back at Apple.
“Yawn!”
said Apple as she herself woke up from her sleep. Apple slowly sat herself up on
her bed, rubbed her eyes to remove the sleep and opened them. “Thank goodness
you’re okay” spoke a familiar voice from her right. When she looked on, she saw
both Peach and Daisy by the bedside cabinet looking up at her.
“Morning…err…I think?” Apple said as
she noticed the lack of sun light emitting into her room. “You…we have been
asleep for…I don’t know really…it could have been days or even months” said
Peach.
“We have…wow,” Apple said as she sat up on her bed,
“must have needed the sleep”. “Oh thank goodness!” spoke a very loud
voice. The three of them looked over at the voice and saw that it was one of the
Giant Land’s maids. “How are you feeling?”
asked the maid as she walked inside the room.
“Huh? Oh…I’m ah…” was all Apple said
as she sat up and felt her body feeling aching.
“Oh my” the maid said as she rushed over to her side.
“What’s the matter?”
asked Peach as she looked up at Apple. Apple looked down and answered,
“Guess, I over did it”. She said this
with a weak smile on her pretty face. “You’re telling me. Flying out from the
wreckage of the airship after being knocked out by Valentina” Daisy said.
“Erm…I wasn’t knocked out by her. I
destroyed the airship in order to get rid of the flower” Apple said as she
looked over towards her.
The two princesses
looked at her with a surprise look on their faces. “How?” said the two of them
at the same time. Apple was taken aback by the way they looked at her.
“With a Hammer Bros Suit,” she looked
at them with a raised eyebrow, “were you
expecting something else?” Apple looked at her friends and saw they began to
scratch at the back of her head, Daisy then spoke up. “I was kinder expecting
some sort of inner channelling of ultra giant strength and that you stomped the
living days out of the airship” she said as she looked up at her nervous.
“I’m not some sort of animated character
that can pull that off”
chuckled Apple. This caused the other princesses to chuckle as well.
“Well, I have no clue what you three are on about but it seems that
Princess Apple need more time to heal” said the maid as she shook her head.
“Oh what became of Valentina?” asked Peach as she ignored the maid.
“Oh,” said Apple as she looked at her
bed covers, “I let her go” “You did
what?” asked Daisy.
“Let her go. I gave her the choice of
leaving with the others or well, pretty much go down with the ship along with
the flower” answered Apple as
she looked at her. “I take it that she left willing?” asked Daisy as she looked
over at Peach with a worried look her face.
“Yeah, reluctant at first but she did the
best thing for herself and her people” answered Apple. “So then, Valentina’s
still out there somewhere. Planning out her next step for world conquest” Peach
said as she looked worried.
“I don’t know…it felt like that her world
conquest was just a front”
Apple said. “A front?” asked Daisy. “Yeah,
it’s as if she knows or truly believe that something big is coming and that she
didn’t want us to be involve in her grand plan” answered Apple. “Hmm…I guess
we shall never know what she’s truly planning. I mean, it not like she’s ever
going to tell us what it is. What, with my simple mind” Daisy said as she
crossed her arms, looked down with a pout. The others looked at her.
“Don’t take what she said to heart. You’re one of the smartest people I know”
Apple said as she smiles down at her.
“You mean it?” Daisy
asked as she up at her. Apple nodded. Daisy looked at her with a smile. “Yeah,
the next time we meet. We’re going to make Valentina talk” said Peach as she
walked over to Daisy and pattered her on the shoulder. “Yeah, I will show her. I
will show her good” Daisy said as grinned as well as she looked at her and then
Apple. “Okay you three, as I said before,
and don’t ignore me but Princess Apple still need some rest” the maid said
as she spoke up.
This caused the
three princesses to look at the maid in shock. “I…kinder forgot that she was
here” whispered Peach towards Daisy. “Me too” she whispered back.
“I guess we need to make a rain check on
the Royal Garden” Apple said. “Yeah, guess we’re not in any fit state” Peach
said to her with a sad look. “Tell me about, it feels like we’re been on a four
year journey and we just now got time to relax” Daisy said as she took a deep
breath.
“What now then?”
asked Peach. “Like I said, rain check?”
answered Apple. “Yeah…rain check” Peach said as she and Daisy nodded. “Right
then, what should we do then, head home?” asked Daisy as she looked at her.
“Hmm, yeah I guess we should but first for me, I’m going to have a detour”
answered Peach. This caused Apple and Daisy to raise an eyebrow. “I got someone
to see and say thank you to” Peach said as she saw the confusion. “Ah, I know
what you mean” Daisy said, “I got something to give you in that case” she said
this as she gave her a nudge.
The maid made her
way towards Peach and Daisy and held her hand out for them to climb on. “Rest up
Apple, see you later” Peach said as the two of them climbed on into the maid’s
palm. “See you two later” said Apple
as she gave them a wave as they waved back at her. Once the maid has left the
room, Apple took a deep yawn, laid back down into her bed and closed her eyes.
It didn’t take her long to fell asleep.
Meanwhile at that
exact moment,
Out at the far
ocean, at the exact point of which Goliath has fallen, just as the sun was
rising, a big plastic yellow submarine emerged. Within the control room of the
yellow submarine, which is filled with familiar crew men along with a familiar
woman sat on the captain chair. “We have arrived” spoke one of the crew men.
“Remind me again why we’re here?” asked the hairy man among the crew. “Darling,”
the woman said as she looked at him, “We’re here to find the flower” “But isn’t
it destroyed along with my Goliath?” asked the hairy man as he scratched the
back of his head.
“The flower can’t be
destroyed by anything else other than fire” the woman said. “But…how are we
going to get it?” asked the hairy man. The woman looked at him with a dumb fold
look. “We’re in your favourite submarine; we can use this to find the flower
among the wreckage of Goliath and grab it” she said as she looked back at the
monitors. Just then, one of the monitors started to give off a beep sound. The
woman looked over to the crew member that was sitting into front of it.
The crew member
looked at the monitor, then looked at the woman and said, “We have detected a
signature that matches to the flower” The hairy man looks at the woman and
asked, “Why are looking for the flower in the first place?” The woman looked at
him and said, “The flower has yet to fulfil its purpose. It won’t be used by me,
I know that now. Its purpose is for what’s to come. Our job now is to make sure
that it’s ready for when that time comes”
“Well, me hope we can find it Valentina” said the hairy man as he looked at the monitors. “I hope so to Booster, I hope so” said the woman as she gave the command to allow the yellow submarine to dive into the depth of the ocean.
Later on that same day over at Grass
Land,
Peach was wondering through the grassy
plains of Grass Land, holding onto a map which Daisy has given her, after
dropping her off. Peach looked at the map and then looked at her shrouding.
“Gees, how am I suppose to find this place,” said Peach as she looked all
confused, “I can’t make head of tails of this place at all” Peach rolled her
eyes again as she looked back at map. According to her map reading, she should
be a few feet close to Small Land but she can’t really tell based on the
surrounding area.
“I’m lost” said Peach as she hung her
head. “I don’t know how that’s even possible when I been there before but it is,
I’m completely and utterly lost” the princess said as she slowly looked up and
began to take a few steps forward. As she was walking, she began to notice that
there was a fly bussing around her. At first she ignored the fly but then she
saw that another fly flew around her. And then another and then another and then
another fly came round and buzzed above round her head. “I can’t be that sweaty”
said Peach as she raised her left arm and sniffed her armpit. Once she took a
whiff, she lowered her arm and said to herself, “I don’t smell that bad”
With that Peach tried her best in
ignoring the flies above and tried instead on focus again on the map. She was
reading the map while walking. She kept doing this until,
“Halt who
goes there!” echoed a male voice which causes Peach
to stop walking. “Who said that?” asked Peach as she looked around and saw
no one, looking all confused. “Identify yourself” spoke a different male voice. “Okay, who said that?” asked Peach as she
tried her hardest to see who spoke. She said this while trying to keep the flies
from buzzing around her head. “Will you flies buzz off” snapped Peach as she
tried swatting the nearest flies.
“You see now that she’s our enemy. Keep her away
from our kingdom!” yelled a male voice which was coming
from the nearest flies.
Peach looked at the nearest flies and
had a worried look on her face. “Wait a minute, wait a minute! It’s all a
misunderstanding!” pleaded Peach as she was looking at the flies swarming
together and dived towards her. As soon as they were close enough, Peach covered
her face with her hands, believing that they were going to attack her. “Please,
I’m Princess Peach! Princess Apple sent a letter about me wishing an audience
with the king” said Peach in a panic, and then in a whisper “though I can’t stay for long”. The flies suddenly stopped with their dive
movements and slowly hovered their way in front of Peach.
“Oh my
goodness! You’re the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. We’re apologising for our
rudeness” spoke the same voice as before. “Hmm” was all Peach
could say as she slowly removed her hands and looked at the flies. With a closer
look at the closest fly, she could see something was riding on it which was a
really small Toad, whom was sitting on a saddle on the insect with a free hand
holding onto the fly and the other with a spear. “I take it you’re one of the
citizens of Small Land?” “Correct princess, I apologise again about the action we were about to
do” said the Toad.
Just then, as Peach was watching the
Toad flying down towards Small land, she suddenly got a feeling of déjà vu, not
that she did this already but rather some higher up forms had just read
everything she’s doing but with someone else. Well, enough about that train of
thought and let us go back with the story.
Peach shook her head as she saw the same
Toad flying back and said,
“Princess Peach, the king has been informed and be joining us at the
entrance” Peach looked at him and nodded her
head. Slowly Peach made her way towards where the town shrouding the castle of
Small Land stood. Carefully she approaches the entrance as she knelt down to
look at it. There she saw the citizens of the town gathered round. “Erm hello
citizens…” Peach said as she waved down at them with a smile.
Looking down at the citizens, gave Peach
another sense of déjà vu, first with her last visit to the small kingdom and the
second on the events that took place a few days ago.
“Greetings”
spoke a familiar voice coming from the crowd of Toads. Peach looked down
at the crowd and spotted someone she recognises. Peach slowly leaned forward to
look at the person she recognises, it was the king.
“Oh hello there!” boomed Peach’s voice. She placed her hands over her mouth as she saw
that the citizens of the kingdom covered their ears.
“Oops,
sorry” whisper Peach as she lowered her hands.
“That’s alright princess. I see that

his hand out for him climb on. The king made his way towards her hand and
climbed on. Once on, Peach raised her hand close enough to her face, so she see
him clearer. She noticed that there a few flying toads were swirling around her.
“I’m doing
well, thanks to you”
Peach said softly with a smile on her
face.
“Yeah but you shouldn’t give thanks to me. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have been in that mess to begin with” the king said as he looked down. “Hey, don’t say that. You had to make plans on defending your kingdom. If I were in your shoes, I would have made the same decision” Peach said softly. The king looked up and asked, “Really?” “Yeah, really; we all learn from our mistakes. From that mistake, you were able to make peace with the insects. Don’t worry. You were able to help us in the end so you have nothing to feel sorry for” Peach said softly.
“You really mean it?” asked the king. “Yes I do” answered Peach in her normal voice. “Thank you for visiting, that really put my and the rest of our minds at rest” the king said as he made a deep breath of relief. With that Peach smiled knowing that her visit gave them all comfort. Slowly Peach lowered her hand allowing the king to climb off and join the crowd of on looking toads. Peach slowly stood up and said softly, “I would like to thank you all again for helping me. I see you all later”
With that, Peach waved down at them as the crowd of toads all waved back. She turned round and made her way home. The flying toads all flew next to Peach as one of them said, “If you would like, we could escort you the Warp Pipe back to the Mushroom Kingdom” Peach looked at the insect riding toad and simply said, “Yes that would be lovely”. With that, Peach along with a group of flying toads made their way towards the warp pipe that connected to the Mushroom Kingdom.
Meanwhile,
At the same moment, back over at Giant Land. Within Apple’s room, the giant princess has woken from her deep slumber. “Ah, I see my sleeping beauty has woken up” Prince Hugo said as he entered the bedroom. “Hugo? You’re back” yawned Apple as she looked towards him. “Yes, though I’m sorry that I wasn’t around when Valentina attacked” Hugo said as he sat down on the bed. “It’s okay…were you able sort out that business thing?” asked Apple as she smiled at him as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. “Yes…it’s all sorted, don’t worry. It’s nothing to be worried about. I hear what you did and all of the stuff that happened when I was away though” answered Hugo as he leaned into hugged his wife.
“Yeah…me and Daisy went to all out to save Peach after she got infected with a bizarre flower” Apple said as she wrapped her arms around her husband. “Tell me all about it” Hugo said as he let her go and listen to Apple as she told him the whole events that had just passed. She spoke for hours as Hugo listen to her telling him everything. He didn’t say anything, as Hugo didn’t want to interrupt her. That motion didn’t last as there was a knock on the door and it opened before either of them allowed the person on the other end to enter.
A solider of Giant Land entered the room.
“Prince Hugo” a solider spoke out loud as he stood by the entrance of the bedroom. Hugo and Apple looked over at him, Hugo with a raised eyebrow said, “Yes solider, what’s the matter?” “It’s the report you requested your majesty” answered the solider as he looked a bit worried. Hugo knew what it meant. “Please excuse me, I need to take care of this. Looks to me you still need to rest” Hugo said as he pointed at the black under her eyes as he then leaned over and kissed Apple on the forehead. Apple watched her husband leave the room to join the solider. Taking his advice, Apple closed her eyes to rest.
Outside,
“You could have been more discreetly about announcing the report” snapped Hugo as he and the solider were walking down the hallway away from the bedroom. “I’m sorry, I came as soon as the report came in” the solider said as he handed the clipboard over to the prince. The prince took the clipboard, saw that it held twenty pages and he began to flip through each one. When he reached page thirteen, Hugo stopped walking when he read what was on the page as his eyes widen.
“Are you sure, is this the only thing that was taken” Hugo said as he looked over at the solider. The solider didn’t look at the prince in the eyes and simply nodded. “Then the whole attack by Bowser and his army was nothing more than a distraction!” Hugo said in a panic, “his true intention was to steal this from the Vaults” The solider took note at the prince’s panicked tone. “Sorry to ask but what makes it so dangerous?” asked the solider. Hugo looked at him sharply, “Yes! It is dangerous. It’s the most dangerous thing we got in the whole Vault Archives. How! How did he know about it?” asked Hugo.
The solider just shrugged his shoulders, “What are we to do?” Hugo took a deep breath as he answered, “We mustn’t cause panic. We must keep this to ourselves and it before Bowser could use it” “What’s stopping him from using it right now?” asked the solider. “That thing he took, it can only be used a number of times. I’m sure he has something in mind, whatever that is. We must stop him from using it. So we must retrieve it from him by any means necessary!” answered Hugo as he stormed off.
Hugo stopped in his tracks, looked over his shoulder and said, “But we cannot let the others know…not even the Mario Bros.” He turned round, took a few steps back towards him, “We mustn’t let my wife know. Keep this a secret. Send in some our best scouts to act as recons. Have them learn as much as they can and then we can move to reclaim the object”. “Don’t let Princess Apple know? Are you sure about that?” asked the solider nervously.
“She will never forgive me for keeping that thing within our kingdom. Never, if she knew what it can do and what its true purpose is” answered Hugo. “That is?” asked the solider as felt scared at what the answer would be. Hugo took note of how the solider behaved, “It is best that you do not know” he answered as he shook his head. With that, Hugo turned round and walked down the hallway, the solider followed after him.
Meanwhile,
At that exact moment over at Dark Land,
Deep within the kingdom’s only castle, its king sat alone within a secret room and in front of him, floated a huge crystal sphere which was wired up in multiple coloured tubes that’s connected to a big box with a black sheet over it which sat at the end of the room. Emitted from the crystal sphere was a moving projection. The king sat there, watching the scenes play out from the projection. The audio is a bit static but the king could still make out everything that was being played out.

“It’s over for you Princess!” shouted Valentina as she breathed in the pollen of the bizarre flower. “No you idiot!” screamed Apple as she was about to reach out to grab her. Valentina jumped out of the way, took out a small jar and looked up at the giant princess. “What’s that?” asked Apple as she saw Valentina raised the small jar closer to her own face. “What do you think it is?” answered Valentina as she removed the lid and began to pour the contents of the small jar over her face.
Apple saw what she could tell was a black powered like substance. Before Apple could ask what it was, she saw Valentina began to sneeze uncontrollability. Apple looked on in horror as she saw was Valentina getting bigger, bigger, and bigger and still getting bigger. Valentina shot past Apple’s own height and was still growing with each sneeze. By the time that Valentina stopped sneezing, she rubbed her nose and looked around her. With a grin on her face, Valentina slowly looked down at Apple and saw how small she is compared to her.
“Not good” was all Apple said as she saw that she was up to Valentina’s kneels. “Well, well, well! How the tables have turned!” roared Valentina’s voice. This caused Apple to hold her ears. “Look at you! I tower over you and even everyone around here!” laughed Valentina. “What to do?” thought Apple as she moved back from the gargantuan. Valentina took note that Apple was moving away from her. “Where do you think you’re going!” shouted Valentina as she reached down and grabbed hold of her.
Valentina brought Apple right up to her face and looked at the princess struggling to break free from her grip. This brought smile to her face. “Just look at you! What can you possibility do to me? I’m going to do what you should’ve have done with that height of yours. Well in my case even more but still” laughed Valentina as she tighten her grip. This almost cased Apple to scream. With that, Valentina dropped Apple onto the surface of the airship.
Apple breathed in heavy as she looked up at the gargantuan turned round away from her. As she was watching her, Apple noticed something on the surface. She spotted cracks growing from beneath Valentina’s feet. Apple slowly climbed onto her feet as she had just thought of something. Valentina took note that Apple got back to her feet. She turned down and was about to say something but was cut off when Apple put her index finger to her own lips. This caused Valentina not to say anything.
“We’re currently above sea water, so I have nothing to fear upon the action that I’m about to do” Apple said as she lowered her hand and smirked at up Valentina. Valentina felt uneasy when she saw that look. Before Valentina could say anything, she saw Apple with a Hammer Bros. Suit suddenly within her hands. “What?” was all Valentina could say as Apple powered up the suit. In a blink of eye, Apple’s clothes changed from her normal red dress into a dark armoured suit with her navel showing, her crown changed into a helmet and on her chest plate was a red apple insignia.
Valentina took note that Apple was wielding a sledgehammer in each hand. “What are you going to do?” asked Valentina. “I’m going to save everyone from you! The way you are now, you are beyond help. Even with your new found height can’t save you, no matter how many times you sneeze. What I’m going to do, I’m going to do this” answered Apple as she raised both her hands and swung each sledgehammers to the surface in front of her. Before Valentina could react, the cracks spread from the impact towards Valentina’s feet. With that second, the floor gave in and the gargantuan giantess sank with the rubble of the airship.
Upon hearing the gargantuan giantess’ scream, Apple dropped onto her kneels, feeling the armour she was wearing to suddenly grow heavy, too heavy for her wear. She heard what she could tell was the sound of explosions. Deep down, Apple knew what those explosions are and what they meant. She slowly looked at where Valentina once stood and saw the hole was growing bigger as the surface started to collapse. Apple felt too weak to move, the injuries she got from Valentina helped as she held onto her ribs. Suddenly the Hammer Bros. Suit faded away.
She looked up and with her tired eyes as she looked at the sky expecting it to be night but saw that dawn was slowly rising. This brought a smile on her face as spoke her last words, “Please be safe Peach. Daisy. I’m sorry Hugo…” With that, the giant princess closed her eyes as she felt the gravity of the collapsing surface and sank within the Goliath.

Just then, everything stopped, a few buzz lines appeared among the projection. Before the king could act, he heard the sound of the entrance being opened and a familiar voice spoke out, “I see that you used it, King Bowser”. The king, Bowser looked over and saw that it was Kamek whom entered the room. “Yeah I used it” answered Bowser as he turned to look at the crystal sphere. “But why? You know it has a certain number of uses before it…it can esca…wait? What are you watching?” asked Kamek as he walked up towards the crystal sphere.
“I’ve been watching events that used to happen. With a little tweak, I changed the outcome for these two women” Bowser said as the projection rewind back to the beginning and showed a still image of Princess Apple and Valentina yelling at each other. Kamek took a look at the woman and then looked over at Bowser, “Why these two?” “I only wanted to save one, just the after effect I guess. After all, with everything I’ve planned,” Bowser said as the still image on the projection changed to a still image of Princess Apple, “I can’t let the key player to lose everything, not yet at least”
This caused Bowser to burst out into an evil laugh. His laughter echoed all throughout the castle and the outskirts of Dark Land.
A week has passed since the events of whole bizarre flower incident. Princess Apple, Princess Peach and Princess Daisy finally set off to what they were originally set out to do before the whole event. The two princesses were walking down the royal garden, at their size, the over grown grass loomed over them as if they were within a deep jungle. “So,” Daisy said as she paced her hands on her hips, “Where to start first?” she said this as she raised an eyebrow.
“I…” Peach said as she scratched the back of her head, “I have no idea really?” she said this as she looked at her shouldering and took a deep gulp. “Well,” said Apple as she leaned over and plucked the princesses up by their dresses, she raised them up to her face and said, “We can’t do anything when you two are this size, don’t want to lose you two in their now do we?” Peach and Daisy looked at each other and then looked up at their giant friend and nodded in agreement.
With that said, the maid that Peach met when she first arrived last week walked out into the garden entrance, with a metal place with metal cake dome sitting on top in hand. “Princess, I have brought what you have requested” spoke the maid as she walked a few feet near Apple. “That’s great,” said Apple as she walked towards the maid and saw her taking the cake dome off; showing her two mega mushrooms, “Thank you” Apple then picked up the two mushrooms from the plate and smiled at the maid. “Is there anything else you wish of me, princess?” asked the maid as she placed the cake dome back onto the metal plate. “Yes, can you please bring us some refreshments” replied Apple. The maid took a bow before she left to get the requested refreshments.
Apple walked back to the two princesses and said, “Here you two, I believe you two know where this is going, help yourselves” Apple placed the two mushrooms down in front of the princesses. They looked on at the mushroom saw that they were indeed Mega Mushrooms. “So, you said before that these will last five days?” asked Daisy as she looked at the Mega Mushroom in front of her and then up at Apple.
“Yes, though you need to remember that one hard hit on the noggin will shrink you back down. So best mind your heads. Now then, if you two would” said Apple as she pointed at the Mega Mushrooms, with a smile. With that the two princesses touched the Mega Mushroom and within seconds, the mushrooms vanished and the two of them started to increase in size. They kept on growing till they reached the size height scale as Apple. “Well then,” said Apple as she looked at her friends as they looked down to check themselves, she slowly look at Peach.
“Hmm, is something the matter?” asked Peach as she noticed that Apple was looking at her with a concern look. “Just making sure that you’re not taller than me” was all Apple could answer as she noticed that she looked at her straight, eye to eye. Peach took note and saw that he was looking at her evenly. “That’s good” Apple said as she smiled while she pattered her friend on the head. “Now then, how should we begin?” asked Daisy as she looked over at garden.
Even with her added height, the garden still looked daunting to her. Apple looked at her, then over at Peach, with a smile and said, “Well the three of us. I know that we will make this garden look beautiful” Peach and Daisy looked at her and each grinned as they felt a boost of morale to work hard. “I think you should change that number dear. I count more than three” spoke a male voice. The three princesses looked towards the direction of the voice which was at the entrance and saw that it was Hugo.
Hugo stood there with his arms cross with a smile. Behind him, the princesses saw were many people from the Giant Land kingdom with gardening tools in hand. “What’s going on?” Apple asked as she saw the people making their way into the garden. “What?” asked Hugo as he walked up to his wife, “You didn’t think I leave you three to do all this on your own?” “But? I thought everyone was busy cleaning up the mess that Bowser left behind?” asked Apple.
“Nothing to worry about it, it’s all sorted. Now everyone here wishes to help you three to restore the garden back to its former glory” answered Hugo. Just then, the maid returns holding a tray of refreshments for the princesses. As she walked towards them, “Goodness, forgive me princess, if I had known there were going to be this many people coming. I would have gotten more” said the maid as she stood next to the three princesses. “That’s okay” Hugo said as he went over and stood next to his wife. The maid looked at him confused. Without saying anything, a dozen more maids entered the Royal Garden, each one holding a tray, with their own glasses of refreshments.
They all walked towards the people that have gathered and each one offered a glass. Each one of them accepted a glass. “Hmm…you know, I’m not sure why but I get a feeling that many, many people. Perhaps not that many. Are expecting me say this” Apple said as she picked up her glass. She looked at the glass and saw that it was lemonade. She smiled over at Hugo, Peach and Daisy. The three of them took a glass.
This cased everyone to look over at the giant princess. Apple took note of everyone looking at her. She took a deep breath and said, “Thank you everyone. Thank you all for helping me working on making the Royal Garden beautiful once more” Apple looked over at everyone and gave them all a smile. “This last week…it was hard on us. The unprovoked attack from Bowser and the whole event with Valentina attacking the castle, and more importantly, the trouble of what a little flower has caused for my best friend; Peach” she said this as Apple slowly looked over towards Peach.
“But you know what, we live through it, every one of us grew stronger as our bond for each other grew beyond what our enemies thought they could destroy. Not only did Daisy and I save Peach, she, despite everything she went through, risked herself to save me. If it weren’t for her, for the purpose for where we standing right now; it would have never have happened” she said as she looked at everyone.
“You know, I can’t express how much it means to me to have all of you helping me with this. So everyone, please raise a glass as I know that this won’t make sense to some, but based on the cure that was used for Peach,” Apple said as she grinned over towards Peach and Daisy. They looked at her as their eyes lit up as they know what she’s going say. Apple looked at everyone and saw that each one raised their glass. “You all know what the old saying goes,” Apple said as she raised her glass, “An Apple a Day; keeps the doctor away”.
Expecting a few laughs from her friends but what surprised her the most was that everyone laughed. Apple looked over towards Hugo and saw that he gave her a shrug implying to her that her husband had informed them everything. Allowed them all to understand, “Thank you” Apple said. “Well, our people have to know what their princess did this past week to save her friend” said Hugo as he wrapped his free arm over her shoulder.
“You know something” Daisy said as she looked at Peach and then Apple and Hugo. They looked over at her. “It almost feels like that this whole event was just some big build up for that one punch line” Daisy said as she took a sip of her lemonade. “Yeah right, granted it feels like it but I highly doubt that it wouldn’t have taken four years to reach the punch line” chuckled Peach. “Hmm, yeah I guess you’re right” laughed Daisy as she took another sip of her lemonade.
This cased the others to laugh as they all finally took a sip of their lemonade. With that, once everyone had finished off drinking off their lemonade, they all gave the maids their glasses and they all began to work their hardest to bring back the beauty of the Royal Garden. It took them all day, each one of them working hard but they were also having fun and in the end, as the sun was beginning to set just before dusk.
It was done. They all looked at their hard work. The people that came and helped all slowly left back to their homes. The ones that were left within the garden were Apple, Peach, Daisy and Hugo. They each look at the beauty that the Royal Garden has to offer. “I know this look even better in the morning, would you two like to see it?” asked Apple as she looked at her friends. “Yeah, I would love to” Peach answered. “Oh yeah! Sleepover at the Giant Castle” Daisy answered as she grinned at her.
“Hmm, in that case I shall arrange some extra beds and some sleeping garments” Hugo said as he smiled at them as he left towards the castle. “This shall be fun,” Peach said as she stretched her arms, “We can finally relax and have fun” “Yeah we can stay up all night if we want and tell each other ghost stories” Daisy said as the three of them began to make their way towards the castle. “Hmm, yeah but there’s one thing I happy about” said Apple as she made a deep yawn. “What’s that?” asked Peach as she looked at her. “I’m just happy that we don’t have deal with the Bizarre Flower anymore” laughed Apple as she walked with them inside the castle. The others all joined in with the laughter.
But,
Unbeknown to them, deep down in the vast ocean, all the way over to where the Goliath has fallen, right at the bottom, sat a bubble. Lying next to the wreckage of the fallen airship, the bubble sat there all alone as it was also a quite a strange and bizarre bubble. What made the strange bubble that bizarre was the fact that it didn’t pop under the pressure of the ocean. Not even parts of the fallen airship that happen to fall on it, left it in tacked.
Within the bubble, was the bizarre flower that bloomed as it was in fact still intact. As it sat there, alone waiting for the day that it will be needed the most. Until that day, the flower will remain seated at the bottom of the ocean within its unbreakable bubble as it watches as the time swim by it.
