Major Jackson Briggs, or Jax as we know him, could feel the sweat and blood coming down his entire body. He knew he was pouring heart and soul into his battle with the four or five Tarkata soldiers that were still standing. The sidewalk was covered in blood and body parts of those he had already slain. Even with so few remaining, he wasn't about to back down. He banged his metallic fists together, the sound of his bionically-enhanced arms clanging together ringing around the area.
"Yeah, come on! I can take you on!" Jax said.
"Hur hur hur... you are weakening, mortal! It is only a matter of time before we slice and dice you!" one of the Tarkatas said. The creature stretched out the blades in its hands and then charged for Jax, as did the other monsters.

Meanwhile, on the far corner of the street that Jax was having his battle on, Lieutenant Sonya Blade was watching the action from behind the buildings, standing by in case Jax needed her help. Before leaving on his mission, Jax made it perfectly clear to Sonya that he could handle the mission to defeat the Tarkatas by himself despite learning of the large number they came in. But Sonya was not someone who could stand by and let things play out on their own. She owed Jax one after he risked his life to come to Outworld and rescue her and, to a lesser extent, Kano.
Sonya watched as her boss clearly looked tired and was having trouble dodging even the simplest of attacks.
"Damn it... I told him this would be a dangerous mission." Sonya said. She was tempted to run in and offer assistance, but she knew Jax would chew her out for disobeying a direct order. Outraging him was the last thing she wanted to do, so she kept on waiting.

After a brutal slash to the back, Jax fell down onto his knees and grimaced in pain. He was breathing heavily against the high grunts of pain. The few Tarkata that remained laughed evilly as they began to surround the fallen combatant.
"Ha! Any last words before we finish you!?" one of the Tarkata said as it sharpened its blades, no doubt to decapitate Jax just as the Tarkata had done to many innocent people that already lost their souls to Shao Kahn.
"Yeah... prepare for your fatality, punks!" Jax said as he defiantly stood up and looked up in the sky. Just as the Tarkata were wondering what he had in mind, Jax concentrated.

Only a few seconds later, Jax began to grow.

"What the hell!?" Sonya shouted as she watched Jax grow bigger and bigger in size. He looked to be at least 100 feet tall by her best guess, but nevertheless she felt quite puny by looking up at the giant-sized Jax. The Tarkata weren't admiring this at all. They immediately feared for their lives as they saw Jax now looking right down at them. Just as they took off running, his huge black boot quickly came down on them.
"Master Baraka!!!" the Tarkata all shouted. And then SPLAT! Jax put down his foot and then lifted it up, revealing nothing but a deep hole in the ground with the blood and broken bones of his enemies. Jax rubbed that boot against the concrete sidewalk, splattering it with the blood and guts that had gotten stuck on the bottom. After wincing a bit in pain, Jax shrunk back down to his normal size. He took a deep breath, relieved that this latest battle in the war against Outworld's invasion was done and over with. He reached for his radio and pushed the button to talk.
"Major Briggs calling Lieutenant Blade. Come in, Sonya." Jax said. Sonya, still in disbelief over what she had seen, could hear Jax's voice coming from her own radio and she pulled it out, backing away so that Jax wouldn't look in the corner and see Sonya right there.
"Lieutenant Blade speaking. What's going on, Jax?" Sonya asked.
"Ah, just your run-of-the-mill run of Outworld bad guys with press-on nails for teeth and blades that couldn't slice through bread. Are you still back at base?" Jax said. Sonya wanted to say that she was so that Jax would think that she followed orders, but she had to get the truth on what she had just seen with the whole size-changing bit. Luckily, her keen sense of thinking got her an answer after a few seconds of silence.
"Negative, Jax. Intelligence reports are suggesting that an attack may be coming from the bridge. I'm taking a squad with me to intercept!" Sonya said.
"I'm a few minutes from your position. I'll be right there! Jax out." Jax said.
"10-4. Sonya out." Sonya said. She put her radio back and quickly moved out to head for the bridge.

At the bridge, Sonya was able to get there first and she waited patiently for Jax to show up. While waiting, she thought of every possible scenario for when Jax started to ask questions as soon as he saw there was no battle. Soon, he arrived running as fast as he could, thinking that Sonya might have been in danger. Hey, that's why he's an American hero, Sonya thought.
"So where's the fire, Sonya?" Jax said.
"Must've been a false alarm. Special Forces just changed the attack location to the park and I sent the squad team to take them on." Sonya said.
"Well, why aren't you following them?" Jax said.
"I figured I would investigate the area for threats while I was here. Gemini is monitoring the team back at headquarters. But listen... there's something we need to talk about." Sonya said.
"But why now? Can't it wait until we stop this invasion? Millions of lives are at stake, and we were chosen by Raiden to subdue this threat!" Jax said.
"I... saw your battle with the Tarkata today." Sonya said.
"Huh? But that would mean... wait. Did you leave base again, something I told you not to do!?" Jax shouted.
"Look, you can punish me later! I owed you one after you risked your life to save me from Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn. I want just as much a piece of these creeps as I'm sure you do." Sonya said. Jax kept silent for a few seconds and nodded, but he did not smile.
"Yeah, you are right. And we Special Forces members always should stick together. Still... you think next time you can try to obey my orders for once?" Jax said.
"Fair enough. Now then, there's something I want to ask you." Sonya said.
"Yeah, what's that?" Jax asked.
"It's about your... huge performance today against those Tarkata." Sonya said. Jax was taken aback... but remembered Sonya admitting to watching the entire battle he had with all those Tarkata. That means she saw everything, including that short time he became a giant to crush the remaining foes.

"Yeah... that." Jax said, softly.
"Why didn't you tell me? We've been partners for a while. You said there wouldn't be anymore secrets between the two of us!" Sonya said.
"It's not that simple, Sonya." Jax said.
"Then make it simple. How are you able to grow like that!?" Sonya shouted.
"Alright, fine... but what I tell you has to stay between the two of us. Understand?" Jax said.
"Loud and clear, sir." Sonya said. Jax took a deep breath.
"Well, it was on the day I got these metallic arms. The surgeons told me the only way my body would properly accept these arms without me going into cardiac arrest was if they changed some of the wave patterns in my brain. It worked... but it turns out one side effect of that was the new brain waves gave me total control over my growth spurt." Jax said.
"Meaning...?" Sonya said.
"Meaning I can change my size just by thinking about it. But only for about a minute. After that, I start to feel some major pain, probably from my body changing like that. So... yeah, it's only good for a short while." Jax said. Sonya was at first silent, trying to take in all of this info.
"And you've had this power since you got the metallic arms?" Sonya said as Jax nodded.

"For god's sake, Jax! This could play to our advantage!" Sonya said.
"Huh? What the hell are you talking about?" Jax said.
"Think about it... I could tower by your side and..." Sonya said. Jax very quickly caught on to Sonya's idea and he was eager to shut it down.
"Sonya... no! This operation has only been tested for men, and even then I'm the only one that has been operated on! I'm not about to risk your life just for some measly one-minute stomping spree!" Jax said.
"But Jax..." Sonya said.
"Damn it, Sonya! I fuckin' said no! Not even for you. Now I'm going to rendezvous with the team in the park. I'll send a forensics team to help with your investigating." Jax said. Sonya knew there was no arguing with Jax once he flat out spoke his mind.
"Yes, sir." Sonya said as Jax walked away. Sonya watched Jax walk into the distance and as soon as he was far enough away from her, Sonya pulled out a remote phone.
"One minute my eye... if there's a chance for me to become giant-sized and stomp the shit out of Kano and the Centaurians, I've got to take it!" Sonya said, thinking back to when she had to watch Johnny Cage almost brutally murdered by the hands of Motaro. Sonya dialed up the number to the Special Forces Command Office.
"Special Forces Command Office, this is Pierce." a man's voice said on the other end.
"Aaron... it's me. I need you to find out the names of one of the surgeons who worked on giving Jax his metal arms a week ago." Sonya said.
"I'll have that information ready when you get back." Aaron said.
"Thanks. Have you guys made contact with the riot guard yet?" Sonya said.
"Yes, ma'am. We have Kurtis Stryker taking command of a few squadrons and they're ready to mobilize on your word." Aaron said.
"Okay, thank you." Sonya said as she turned off the phone.

A few moments later, Sonya arrived back at Special Forces headquarters. Naturally, it was a busy place as the people there were monitoring the soul-stealing crisis very closely. It seems Raiden's magic was protecting the souls of these dedicated people... at least so far. Regardless, Sonya clearly looked to be the hardest-working individual in the room, as evidenced by her quickly walking up to Aaron's computer screen.
"Aaron, do you have that info on Jax's surgery?" Sonya asked.
"Yes, ma'am. This is the lead surgeon... Dr. Miller, along with his three associates." Aaron said as he pointed to Dr. Miller's picture. Also on the screen were pictures of a black bearded man, a young-looking man with blonde hair, and a woman. They were all in doctor's clothing, obviously.
"Where is Dr. Miller?" Sonya said.
"He and his team are keeping themselves safe in the operating room, the same one where Jax supposedly got his arms worked on." Aaron said.
"Thank you, Aaron. Tell the riot guard I'll be speaking with them when I get back." Sonya said. Aaron nodded as Sonya quickly walked off through a set of doors.

Sonya proceeded down the long hallway before she peeked into one of the windows and saw what clearly looked like an operating room. Inside were Dr. Miller and his three assistants. They looked like they were talking with each other and comparing notes. Sonya walked up to the door and knocked on it three times. Dr. Miller opened the door and greeted Sonya.
"Lieutenant Blade? What can I do for you?" Dr. Miller asked.
"Dr. Miller. I understand you were the lead surgeon in the metal arms operation on Major Briggs." Sonya said.
"That's right. Why? Is something the matter?" Dr. Miller asked.
"No, everything's fine. I'm just curious as to how you were able to change his brainwave patterns." Sonya said. Dr. Miller had a rather uncomfortable look on his face.
"Well... you see, Lieutenant, that is classified information. Major Briggs has asked that the matter regarding his surgery be kept to ourselves." Dr. Miller said.
"I see. Well, sorry to bother you then." Sonya said.
"No problem, Lieutenant. Good luck out there, okay?" Dr. Miller said.
"Oh... doctor. One more thing." Sonya said. Dr. Miller turned around to face Sonya, only to see a gun pointed right at his head.
"Uh... Lieutenant. What's the meaning of this?" Dr. Miller asked.
"Your private information about Major Briggs just became public. You do what I say and nobody gets hurt." Sonya said. One of Dr. Miller's assistants, the black man in fact, looked out the window to see Sonya aiming her pistol right between Dr. Miller's eyes. As the man was running over to a nearby phone, Sonya quickly caught this and ran in the room.

"Freeze! Step away from the phone or I will shoot!" Sonya shouted, keeping the gun pointed at Dr. Miller as she dragged him into the room."
"Do what she says!" Dr. Miller shouted as the black man slowly stepped away from the phone.
"Cut that phone off." Sonya said as the female assistant walked over and disconnected the phone out of the jack.
"Get over there!" Sonya shouted as she pushed off Dr. Miller towards his assistants. She kept the gun aimed right at his head.
"Look, just take it easy, Lieutenant... we can work something out!" Dr. Miller shouted.
"Shut up! You're going to do that brainwave altering operation on me just as you had done for Major Briggs." Sonya said.
"What? You want bionic arms too?" Dr. Miller asked.
"No... I want to have babies just by thinking about it." Sonya said sarcastically. "Come on, doctor, you know full well how this works."
"But but but... we haven't tested the process on a woman. It might have adverse effects!" Dr. Miller said. Sonya walked closer to Dr. Miller, still with the gun in her hand.
"Well, the good news is that I'm your test patient." Sonya said.
"Sonya... I mean, Lieutenant. Why are you doing this? Why do you ask this favor of us?" Dr. Miller said.
"Let's just say I have a score to settle with someone, and I could use the extra... mental abilities." Sonya said.
"Now, Dr. Miller, you are either going to do the brainwave surgery on me or I can have you all treated for bullet wounds. What's it going to be?" Sonya said.
"Okay, okay. Donna, prepare the equipment. James and Kenneth, prepare the table for the Lieutenant!" Dr. Miller shouted as the assistants quickly ran around doing their things. Sonya finally holstered her weapon.
"Thank you, doctor." Sonya said.

A couple hours later, Sonya was regaining her consciousness. She had been laying on the table in a coma, naturally so the doctors could do the operation. Sonya rubbed her head as she slowly sat up.
"Ugh... is it over?" Sonya said.
"Yes, Lieutenant. The operation was successful." Dr. Miller said. Sonya kept on tapping her head, trying to feel for any bandages that may have been attached to her forehead.
"Are you sure? I don't feel any different." Sonya said.
"Oh, the brainwave operation was easy. We used a special machine that was attached to your head, allowing your brain waves to be altered remotely. No surgery required." Dr. Miller said.
"Well, that's good. Can't go walking around the city stomping evil Shokan warriors with a large gash on my forehead." Sonya said.
"Are you really sure you wanted to do this, Lieutenant? Like I said, we have no idea how this process will go for a woman. And besides... what would Major Briggs say?" Dr. Miller said.
"I promise you Jax won't come after you. Remember... I forced you guys to do this operation on me." Sonya said. Then she closed her eyes and began to concentrate.

Then she started growing.

Every bit of Sonya's clothing around her grew with her except for her weapons belt, which snapped off as her hips grew wider and wider. The doctors watched in amazement as Sonya's head reached the ceiling of the operating room. Then she opened her eyes and that's when the growing stopped. Sonya looked about ten feet tall, twice her original height.
"Now this feels good." Sonya said, smiling as she looked down at the doctors.
"Amazing... do you feel any pain, Lieutenant?" Dr. Miller asked.
"No. In fact, that growing sensation felt kinda pleasant... it was like getting a massage." Sonya said.
"Interesting! It seems the female hormones are less tolerant to the pains of the body suddenly expanding, if at all really." Dr. Miller said.
"So you're saying I'm supposed to be feeling pain but I'm not?" Sonya said.
"After one minute, yes. Now, the reaction could be later... I don't know. Like I said, we've never tested this thing on a female body." Dr. Miller said.
"Well, we'll just have to see how the test goes." Sonya said with a smile. She closed her eyes... and grew again. The ceiling began to crack as her head was being forced through.
"Um... Lieutenant Blade? What are you doing!?" Dr. Miller said.
"You better get out of here if you don't want this room to cave in on you!" Sonya said, still keeping her eyes closed and getting bigger. Indeed, the four doctors ran out of the room, just as the whole ceiling finally gave out. Eventually, when Sonya felt she was big enough, she opened her eyes and let out a slight gasp. Special Forces headquarters never looked so small to her eyes. Sonya was about 150 feet tall, probably a little bigger than even Jax could manage.
"This... is awesome!" Sonya said to herself. She looked to see several commanding officers running out of the building and shouting up at her, but she didn't pay any attention to them. The moment of her growing so big was still sinking in. Finally she looked out in the distance, not just at the city, but also at the tallest tower where Shao Kahn's fortress was with the soulnado sticking out like a sore thumb.

Sonya finally let out a cunning laugh. It definitely didn't sound cheerful. And she still had no pain radiating through her body too.
"Time to show those Outworld assholes who is boss around here." Sonya said. She took one huge step that got her to clear the rest of headquarters, and then she started her free walk for the city.

The people that still had their souls intact were very much unruly, wanting to get out of the city as soon as possible and making sure nobody stood in their way. That's where the riot squad comes in. They've been doing their best in trying to control this one corner of the city. Kurtis Stryker, the leader of the riot squad, basically directed traffic.
"This way, everyone! Hurry!" Stryker shouted. Just then, he could feel a slight rumbling on the ground along with booming sounds in the background. He looked to his left to see a mob running wildly towards him.
"Whoa! We're going to need backup on this one! You and you! I need you to control this situation!" Stryker shouted to two of his fellow soldiers. In the confusion, Stryker was able to grab one of the men that was running past him.
"Hey hey! Hold up, son! What's the mad rush for? Trying to get away from that green swirling tornado in the sky?" Stryker said, pointing up to the soulnado that was above Shao Kahn's fortress.
"Yeah... and now there's this giant woman walking through the city! It's chaos, man!" the man said.
"Giant woman? What the hell are you..." Before Stryker could finish, the shaking was getting stronger now. Finally, the giant Sonya revealed herself from behind the buildings at the end of the street.
"Holy shit..." Stryker said as he stared helplessly at the giantess, letting the man go with the rest of the people.

In the meantime, Sonya had slowly been walking through the city, watching as the large group of people was running down the road. Sonya couldn't help but let out a bit of a giggle.
"They do look cute from up here." Sonya said, talking about the people running away from her. She almost couldn't believe she said, but she didn't blame herself.
"Man... Jax doesn't know what he's missing." Sonya said as she surveyed the landscape. Despite much of the city still towering above her, Sonya felt pretty darn powerful standing at least 100 feet tall. And the best part was that she still did not feel one bit of pain. The doctor was right... maybe the female body can adapt to this size-changing stuff better than the male can. That thought alone was almost making Sonya feel pretty invincible. She was thinking of just one mini-mission on her mind.
"Now if I can just find Kano." Sonya said. She hadn't lost sight of one of the key reasons she wanted to grow. To find Kano and make him pay big time... literally. Sonya turned to the right and walked down another street, one that was definitely not as crowded because it was a section of the city already hit hard by Shao Kahn. The only moving things she could see were Tarkata warriors, the same ones that had attacked Jax earlier. Sonya had no problem showing mercy to these 'insects.'
"Little insects. Always wanted to crush them flat." Sonya said to herself. Step by step, she crushed as many Tarkatas as she could, staining both the bottom of her shoes as well as the road a deep red with blood and broken bones everywhere. She leaned down towards the ground and blew a gust of hot air down at another group of Tarkatas, blowing them several yards away and no doubt killing them as they slammed against several different buildings. Then again, Tarkatas didn't have the strongest bodies of all the Outworld scum.

Sonya then focused her attention a few blocks away near the Bell Tower, where she saw an army of Shokan (the ones that resembled Goro) marching down the streets. She took a couple good stomps to get the attention of the army, who immediately tried to attack the giantess. Of course, it did no good. One tried jumping in the air and stomping on her feet, but she didn't feel anything at all. Others threw fireballs, or even biting her, but she just laughed at their feeble attempts.
"Good grief. Stomping all your pathetic lives would be too easy." Sonya said out loud. She walked over to the Bell Tower, reaching up and slamming her hand against the bell. The loud ringing noise from the bell went ringing through the ears of the four-armed monsters. With the Shokan clearly distracted, Sonya then started punching holes in the Bell Tower until it collapsed right on top of the entire army. Underneath the many stones of concrete, along with what was left of the bell itself, were pools of blood from the remains of those Shokan warriors.
"Well, we won't have to worry about those things." Sonya said. Again, she scanned the area for where else in the city she could explore, and that's when she sets her eyes on a battle that was taking place on top of the bank building between another four-armed monster, although this one looking female, and another monster. It looked to be a Centaurian, and that's when Sonya's eyes lit up like fire.
"Motaro..." Sonya said to herself. The one who critically injured Johnny Cage the day before. She wanted so badly to get revenge for her fallen comrade whom she met in the first Mortal Kombat tournament a couple years back. She started walking towards the building, not caring a bit on what she was stepping on, whether it was empty cars, loose Tarkata warriors, or even fire hydrants.

Back at the scene where there were a bunch of dead Tarkata bodies that had stained the streets a bloody red, Stryker almost puked looking at the violence level he was seeing. He had seen some pretty nasty stuff while fighting off ugly riots in the many years he has been an officer, but all that was nothing compared to what he saw now. Soon, a group of Army Jeeps came roaring in behind Stryker. Jax hopped out of one of them and approached Stryker.
"Are you Kurtis Stryker?" Jax asked.
"Yes, sir! You guys got here fast." Stryker said, shaking Jax's hand and trying not to think much of his metallic arms.
"Major Jackson Briggs. Can you describe what you saw?" Jax said.
"Yeah. I was patrolling the streets when all of a sudden I see this giant woman walking by. And I mean big! She was building-sized! I turn the corner to try and get a glimpse of her, and the next thing I see is her stomping on these freaks before she walked away. And then I called you guys... but hey, I guess anyone would call the Army to follow someone as big as her." Stryker said.
"Can you give us a description on this woman?" Jax said.
"Oh yeah. Blonde hair in a pony tail... blue eyes I guess... her clothes were all green and black like she was in an army of some sort. Oh yeah, I did hear her say something through all the excitement." Stryker said.
"What's that?" Jax asked.
"Something about finding Kano and I guess killing him. She must have a grudge on whoever this Kano is. He's probably one of the people behind this attack if I had to guess." Stryker said.
"I see... thank you, Mr. Stryker. Let us know if we can be of more help. I'll have three men to help you with the situation." Jax said.
"Of course, Major." Stryker said.

As Jax was walking back to the Jeep he was riding in, one of the other soldiers in the Jeep felt inclined to ask about what Jax was thinking.
"Major, if I may ask... you don't think he was talking about Sonya, do you?" the guy said.
"Sounds very much likely, soldier." Jax said.
"Why do you think Sonya would do this? Y'know... grow and stuff like that." the guy said.
"Ask questions later, private. Your orders are to get me back to base!" Jax said. The guy just nodded and started the Jeep up. As they were driving back, Jax got on his radio once again.
"Gemini, come in. This is Major Briggs!" Jax said.
"Hey, Jax! I was just going to call you. We've had a bit of a problem at base." Gemini said.
"What kind of problem?" Jax said.
"Well, it's a really big problem, let's just say. Dr. Miller is telling this weird story of how Sonya just grew right through the roof." Gemini said. Crazy or not, Jax's suspicions were right.
"Oh dear god..." Jax said.
"Something wrong, Jax?" Gemini said.
"Have Dr. Miller ready when I get back to base, Gemini. His story might not be as crazy as you think." Jax said.
"Okay, if you say so... Gemini out." Gemini said.

At the top of the Bank building, Sheeva and Motaro were engaged in Mortal Kombat. It had gotten quite fierce, judging from the green blood that was trickling from both kombatants. After giving Sheeva a swift punch in the gut, Motaro gloated.
"You weak pathetic fool! You've got a lot of nerve to be sticking around like this." Motaro said.
"Always like the rest of you Centaurians, gloating before you think you have defeated the mighty Shokan!" Sheeva shouted.
"Ha! The Shokan are yesterday's news ever since Goro disappeared! Shao Kahn has put his faith entirely in the Centaurians!" Motaro shouted. Just before the two could attack each other once again, a giant hand suddenly reached up to grab Motaro right off the roof! Motaro looked to see he was being held tightly by the giant Sonya.
"Hello down there." Sonya said.
"What the!? What is the meaning of this?" Motaro shouted.
"Remember Johnny Cage? The guy with the sunglasses and green shadow kick?" Sonya said. Motaro pretty much remained silent.
"You are a coward, relying on such power to get revenge on your friend." Motaro said.
"Yeah... well what about you!? You and your ugly four-legged self. I'd say that qualifies as a competitive advantage. Maybe we should do something about that." Sonya said. Sheeva could only watch in astonishment over what this unknown giantess (to her anyway) was about to do to her heated rival. Sonya started by yanking the Centaurian's tail right off, causing a large amount of green blood to fall onto Sonya's hand. Of course, Motaro yelled out in pain as well.
"That was for breaking his ribs!" Sonya shouted. Then she reached down and ripped his back two legs right off, causing him to scream more in pain.
"And that came from breaking his arms and legs!" Sonya shouted. Finally, dropping the bottom half of his body down onto the ground, Sonya held Motaro in her other hand and began to seperate both halves of his body. Soon, Motaro split in half. His howls of pain were loud enough for Sonya to hear them. Even Sheeva had to cringe from seeing all the blood and violence unfolding before her eyes.
"And now this is for that coma!!!" Sonya shouted with more determination than ever. Then she took both halves of his body into her right hand and simply squeezed her hand together. When she opened her hand again, whatever was left of Motaro fell down to the ground.
"Flawless victory... Fatality." Sonya said as she watched the bloody remains fall to the ground. She shook her right hand of some of the excess blood that she extracted from Motaro.

Sonya then focused her attention on Sheeva, still standing on top of the Bank. She reached up to grab her as well.
"Now... as for you!" Sonya shouted.
"Wait, stop!!! If Motaro is your enemy, we share a common foe!" Sheeva said. Sonya stopped short of grabbing Sheeva in her bloody hand when she heard her shout those words. Instead she lightly grabbed a hold of the female Shokan and kept her hand steady as she held her in front of her face.
"What do you mean common foe?" Sonya said.
"Tell me... do you seek vengeance against Shao Kahn?" Sheeva said.
"Hey, who doesn't after what he has done to this realm." Sonya said.
"I've been wanting his head ever since he enacted his revenge on the Shokan." Sheeva said.
"Is he in that tower over there?" Sonya said, pointing to the tower where the soulnado was coming from.
"Yes. There are several of his creatures guarding the front entrance, including an Earthrealm being that he spared from death." Sheeva said.
"You mean a human?" Sonya said.
"Yes. He had no hair and one of his eyes was red." Sheeva said.
"Kano... I need to find him and kill that SOB! Where was he last!?" Sonya shouted.
"Well, the last I heard when I was spying... he was helping this masked man named Kabal. They were heading for one of the streets." Sheeva said. Sonya then kneeled down and placed Sheeva on the ground.
"You better get out of here. This could get ugly real quick!" Sonya said. She then stood back up and walked down the streets in search of Kano.

On the way to Sonya's destination, however... she met up with some resistance, namely in the form of police cars and fire trucks blocking her path forward. She turned around, only to see army tanks surround her on that side of the city. Jet planes were also beginning to circle around her head. In the front tank that has stopped just short of Sonya's footwear, the soldier popped his head out and held a megaphone in hand. Popping up right next to him was Jax.
"Lieutenant Sonya Blade! We have you completely surrounded! Stand down now!" the soldier shouted. Jax then took the megaphone from the man.
"Sonya... listen to me! Just turn yourself in while you haven't done anything wrong. We can work this out!" Jax said.
"Are you kidding? You'll just dishonorably discharge me because I went off protocol, just like all of you do. I'm just taking things one step further." Sonya said.
"I understand where you are coming from, Sonya. I really do... but we need to play this card the right way!" Jax said. The soldier took back the megaphone.
"Lieutenant... if you do not surrender, we are authorized to shoot you down." the soldier said.
"Alright, fine. We can stop the Outworld invasion your way. But I have a score to settle and I sure as hell am not shrinking until I find him! Now if you'll excuse me..." Sonya said. She quickly turned around and surprised many of the police officers by kicking the police cars and fire engines several blocks away.
"All units, open fire!" the soldier shouted. Soon, all the army tanks and fighter planes started firing on Sonya. Unfortunately for them, not a single shot was hurting her and they only served to annoy the heck out of her. She gave a menacing glare down at the tanks but then let out a smile.
"Hey boys... how about a kiss for your bravery?" Sonya said. She moved one of her hands up to her lips. Jax could immediately see what was coming.
"Oh shit... fall back! Everyone fall back!!!" Jax shouted as he jumped out of the tank he was in and started running, pulling the accompanying soldier with him. Sonya then blew her infamous 'Kiss of Death' as a fireball came flying out of her mouth and landed right on the tanks, causing each and every one of them to explode into an dazzling display of fire. Using the fireworks as cover, Sonya then fired her purple rings of doom from her hands to wipe out the police cars and fire trucks. Finally she swung her head around and swiped the fighter jets out of the sky with her hair! She admitted to herself that it was a lucky shot for her to take out some fighter jets like that.
"Sorry, Jax, but I'm having too much fun!" Sonya said through the smoke from the destroyed tanks before she finally walked away, heading for another corner of the city. The soldiers were getting up and were itching to chase after the giantess.
"All right, troops! Follow me!" the soldier said. Jax held him back, however.
"Hey, wait! Are you crazy? Let me handle this. I know Sonya better than anyone." Jax said.
"But she's a threat to this city! She must be contained at all costs!" the soldier said.
"Damn it, soldier! I said stand down! And tell your men that too. I'm going after her myself." Jax said. He then ran off in the same direction as Sonya. The soldiers just watched as he ran off into the distance.
"Good luck, Major." the soldier said.

In another corner of the city, Kano was sparing with a couple Tarkata warriors, fighting them with just a butcher knife and using it to block incoming attacks. Finally, the fighting stopped and Kano just smiled.
"Not bad, mate. Just remember the techniques I taught you for defense." Kano said.
"Yesssssss, thank you. Our masssssssssster Baraka will sssssssssssssurely reward you for your ssssssssssservices." the Tarkata said.
"Right then. Just keep his teeth off me if you're going to keep Shao Kahn happy." Kano said. The Tarkatas nodded and then walked off. Just then, as they disappeared into a portal, Kano could feel the ground rumbling every couple of seconds. The shaking got louder with every passing second. Finally, the little bit of sunlight that was shining down on Kano was cut off by a huge shadow. Kano finally turned around and could see nothing but the whites of Sonya's shoes. Of course, he finally gasped having to look way up at her face. Sonya just stood there with her hands on her hips.
"Hello, baby. Did you miss me?" Sonya said, mocking Kano's Australian accent with every word. Kano didn't waste any time. He simply took off running in the opposite direction. Sonya then made a huge leap up into the air.

The next thing Kano knew, he saw Sonya drop in front of him, landing on the ground so hard that the pavement cracked around him as he fell to the ground.
"What's the hurry? I can make your death nice and slow, you know." Sonya said.
"You fuckin' bitch!" Kano said. Sonya then swiftly reached down and grabbed Kano with her right hand. She then dangled him right in front of her mouth.
"What's that!? You're going to have to speak up!" Sonya shouted, no doubt blowing Kano's eardrums out for life as loud as her voice was.
"Awwww.... did I hurt you, little baby? I'll help you feel better!" Sonya said. She then began pressing Kano against her chest area. Soft at first, but finally she began pressing him so hard that he started screaming in pain. Of course, his screams were muffled from being stuck not just against her clothing, but her soft breasts as well.
"Damn! Give me a break, will you!?" Kano shouted.
"Okay, sure. No problem." Sonya said with a smile. She thought about squeezing her hand together and crushing Kano to a bloody pulp like she did with Motaro earlier. She was about to do just that when she suddenly thought of a better idea.
"Nah, for all you've done, you deserve to die another way." Sonya said. She once again opened her mouth and this time guided Kano towards the open space. Sonya could feel Kano squirming within her fingers for his life.
"No! Stop! Please, please!!! NO!!!" Kano shouted. Finally, when Sonya felt Kano making contact with her lower teeth... she closed the teeth together.

Kano's entire body ripped to shreds as the teeth clamped together.

Sonya chewed and chewed on Kano's pathetic body a few times before finally spitting out the bones and blood that made up Kano's body onto the road.

Jax watched the whole scene unfold before his eyes, much like how Sonya hid in a corner and watched how he grew and crushed the Tarkata warriors before her eyes. He almost felt squeamish watching the whole thing, despite the fact he was trained to witness such displays of violence back in his early days with Special Forces.
"Damn Sonya..." Jax said to himself. Finally he decided to come out of hiding and show himself to the giantess.
"Sonya!" Jax shouted. Sonya, with how quiet the city had gotten in this corner, was able to hear the call and looked down by her feet to see the Major. She almost didn't say anything, immediately thinking he had just witnessed Kano's very much gruesome death.
"You saw all that, didn't you?" Sonya said.
"Well, you know... kinda hard to miss a 100-foot-tall woman eating the very life out of one of the most wanted." Jax said with a smile. Sonya smiled right back. Then, thinking how awkward it was getting to look way down at the man, Sonya began to concentrate in the same way she did when she first grew. Sonya then began to shrink until she was back to her normal size, or at least close to it. She looked a couple inches taller than Jax as he approached her.

Sonya looked at Jax right in the eyes, and quickly figured why he was there.
"Look... Jax. I'm sorry about all that Army equipment and the soldiers. I'm ready to turn myself in for all I've done." Sonya said as she held her hands up in the air, waiting for Jax to put the handcuffs on her. But Jax just smiled and patted her on the shoulder.
"You kidding me? With me by your side, I can make sure the only thing you plead guilty to is temporary insanity." Jax said.
"So that means..." Sonya said.
"You're right, kiddo. Protocols are such bitches. You can really kick some butt out there... when you're big of course." Jax said.
"Wait... how do I know this isn't some sort of trick? To lower my guard until the proper authories arrest me!?" Sonya shouted. Jax couldn't help but laugh.
"Now when have I ever gone Black Dragon on you. Come on, we should get back to base and figure out how we're going to attack those bastards with our... new weapon." Jax said. The two started to walk back for Special Forces headquarters. Sonya, however, stopped when she could feel something rattling her teeth.
"Oh... wait a moment, Jax." Sonya said. She played her tongue around her mouth when she finally spit out one tiny shred of metal... the faceplate that Kano used on one half of his face.
"Man, I'm not going to touch that with a 100-foot pole." Jax said.
"Right... remind me to wash my mouth when we get back. My teeth are probably full of his blood and guts." Sonya said. The two then started walking again, discussing how they would stop the rest of the Outworld invasion with, as Jax said, the new weapon.

Sonya Blade, who seemed to prove that the woman body can tolerate size-changing much better than a man's body could ever hope to. Jax didn't seem to mind though.
