Dawn's Inside Story

(GiantessUniverse)

Chapter 1

Many hours have passed since Ash, Misty and Dawn left Cerulean City for Pallet Town. As the sun quickly sets, our heroes spot an abandoned cabin nearby and decide to set up camp for the night. After a few minutes of sitting by the warm campfire, Ash got up.

“I’m going to bed.” He said, grabbing his jacket and patting his Pikachu, who lay sleeping next to the fire.

“Me too,” Dawn said, getting up as well. “It’s getting pretty late, and I’ve got a major headache! Are you coming, Misty?”

“Sure, I guess.” Misty replied, getting up. “Just let me-“

But her sentence was cut off as one of Misty’s Poke Balls burst open, releasing her Mime Jr. Misty sighed.

“Oh, no! Mime Jr., you can’t come out of your Poke Ball unless I let you out!” She quickly picked up the Poke ball and pointed it at the Mime Jr. “Return!”

But the Pokemon quickly dodged the laser beam and shook it’s head pleadingly at Misty. Quickly recalling the result the last time he had tried to recall Mime Jr., Ash raced into the cabin with Dawn. Meanwhile,, Misty looked down at the tiny Pokemon, sighed, and picked it up, hugging it.

“It’s okay, you don’t have to go back into the Poke Ball if you don’t want to.” She said, sitting back down in front of the campfire. Misty sat by the fire for a little while, holding the Mime Jr. to her chest like she had done with her Togepi. Meanwhile, a familiar trio was hiding in a nearby bush, looking down at the scene by the campfire. All three were wearing their familiar wicked grins as they stared at Misty and the two Pokemon.

“Look at that!” James whispered in astonishment. “The twerp’s left his Pikachu out in the open! And it’s fast asleep!”

“Not only that, but that red-haired twerp’s back, and she’s got a Mime Jr.!” Meowth added happily.

“That’s right.” Jessie said. “Once we give the boss TWO rare and valuable Pokemon, we’ll definitely get a huge raise!”

“And maybe a promotion!” James said cheerfully.

“And he’ll make me his top cat again!” Meowth said, grinning as he pictured Giovanni petting him gently as his familiar Persian watched angrily from inside of a cage.

“Well, let’s get going!” Jessie cried with delight.

At that point, Team Rocket came bursting out of the bush. Turning around, Misty looked into the shadows where the sound had come from.

“Huh? Is someone there?” She called out, frowning.

“Prepare for trouble!” Replied a voice from the shadows.

“Make it double!” added another voice. Misty groaned.

"Oh, no. Not them again!" She muttered exaspiratedly.

“To protect the world fr-“

“I knew the rest!” Misty shouted. “Why don’t you three losers quit hiding in the dark and show yourselves?”

Team Rocket stepped out of the shadows, looking very angry.

“How dare you interrupt our motto!” Jessie shouted.

“We worked really hard on it, you know!” James added angrily.

“Never mind that!” Meowth cut in. “Let’s grab Pikachu and Mime Jr., quick!”

As the trio stepped forward, Misty clutched her Mime Jr. tightly. Pikachu opened it’s eyes, and, spotting Team Rocket, darted forward.

“Pikachu, use your Thunderbolt!” Misty shouted.

“Pika!” Pikachu replied, and it hit Team Rocket with a bolt of lightning, which bounced right off of the weird-looking belts Team Rocket was wearing, hitting Pikachu and sending it flying, hitting the cabin wall. Misty looked worriedly at Pikachu, then turned back to Team Rocket, all three of whom were grinning wickedly.

“Nice try, kid, but these belts counter Electric attacks!” Meowth said maliciously.

Misty stared angrily at Team Rocket.

“Oh, really?” She yelled furiously. “Well, then, let’s see those things reflect a Physic attack! Mime Jr., use “Shrink”!”

“”Shrink”?” Jessie said in confusion. “What does that do?”

Mime Jr. nodded, and stared at Team Rocket. It began to glow blue, Suddenly, Team Rocket began to glow as well. Then, out of nowhere, a blue beam shot out of the trio’s belts and hit Misty, Pikachu, and her Mime Jr., who started glowing blue as well. A split second later, Misty found herself standing in the midst of a cluster of grass that looked taller than water towers. Misty stared at her gigantic surroundings in horror. Did her Mime Jr. just shrink HER, too? Turning around, she saw her Mime Jr., who had also shrunk, laying unconscious on the ground. Misty sighed.

"Oh, no! Mime Jr.!"

She ran up to the Pokemon and picked it up. A moment later, Mime Jr. opened it's eyes, and, quite suddenly, it began crying. Misty quickly hugged the baby Pokemon, comforting it.

"It's okay, Mime Jr.! You didn't make us shrink. That was Team Rocket's dumb belts that made us shrink, too. They must have backfired a bit of the attack back at us."

Suddenly, a loud rustling sound came from behind them. Turning around, Misty heard voices shouting from behind a nearby grass strand.

"Quit pushing, James, I'm trying as hard as I can!"

"Well, try harder! We've got to find a way to get through this grass."

"Oh, move it, you two!" shouted Meowth's voice, and a pair of claws slashed through the thick trunk of the grass plant, causing it to come crashing down. The shrunken Team Rocket appeared, Jessie and James with large scratches on their faces. Misty stepped forward. Her face was redder than Jessie's hair.

"LOOK WHAT YOU THREE LOSERS HAVE DONE NOW!" Misty shouted angrily at Team Rocket. "Now we're smaller than a berry, and my Mime Jr.'s too tired to return us to normal.

"Hey, you're the one who tried to use a "Shrink" attack on us!" Jessie shouted back. "You arrogent little brat! You're lucky if I-"

As the four shrunken trainers(or rather, the shrunken trainer and the three thieves) rounded on one another, Pikachu, who had also shrunk, stared at the fight. Then, suddenly, sparks began to fly from it's cheeks, and a powerful bolt of lightning hit all four people. The fight stopped. Getting up, Misty looked over at Team Rocket, and made her decision.

"Listen, you three." She said seriously. "I don't like you and you don't like me, but if we're all going to get back to our normal sizes, we'll have to work together. I mean, the forest is even more dangerous at our size.

There was a moment of silence. Then, Meowth spoke.

"The kid's got a good point! At our size a bug Pokemon is like a monster!"

At Meowth's words Misty panicked. She hadn't thought of that. The idea of a disgusting bug Pokemon ten times bigger than usual...she quickly forced the thought out of her mind, and turned her attention back to Team Rocket. They appeared to be discussing Misty's offer over.

"I'm afraid Meowth's right. We may need her if we're going to survive like this." Jessie said.

"And her little Mime Jr. is the only Pokemon that can get us back to normal size." James added.

Meowth turned around to face Misty.

"Alright, kid, you've got a deal. But as soon as we get back to normal size, the truce's over. Got it?"

"Fine with me." Misty said. "Now, we should probably find a safe place to sleep before we do anything else. Anyone have any ideas?"

Team Rocket looked cluelessly at one another.

"Hey, how about there?" Meowth said suddenly, pointing to Dawn's supply bag. Everyone agreed, and they made their way over to the bag, setting up camp on top of

one of Dawn's clean socks. As Misty pulled out her sleeping bag however, she heard footsteps, and everyone looked up.

"Hey, someone's coming!" James shouted.

"We've got to hide, fast!" Meowth cried.

"Over there!" Misty said, pointing to an open bottle. Everyone climbed into the bottle, and watched as Dawn's gigantic pink boots appeared in front of the bag.

"That's weird." They heard Dawn say. "Misty's gone. I guess her Mime Jr. just ran off or something and she went after it. She really needs to learn how to control

her Pokemon, that girl! I still can't believe she ran a Gym all by herself!"

"Hey!" Misty yelled angrily, as Team Rocket roared with laughter. Unsuprisingly, however, Dawn did not hear her. She clapped a hand to her forehead, groaning.

"Man, this headache is getting really bad! I'd better take some asprin..."

At that moment, a gigantic hand reached out for the bottle that Misty and Team Rocket were hiding. All four of them panicked.

"Oh, no!" Misty shouted.

"We need a hand, but not like this!" Jessie shouted.

"Why does bad luck always get such a good grip on us?" Meowth yelled hysterically.

"In case you three haven't noticed, now isn't the time for jokes!" Misty yelled furiously. "We've got to get Dawn's attention, quick!"

But then, quite suddenly, the bottle began to shake, and everyone was tumbled into Dawn's gigantic hand, and before they knew it, they were flung into Dawn's mouth, and into darkness. And Dawn, having no idea what she had just done, and still clutching her head, slouched back into the cabin.

Chapter 2

Ash opened his eyes, and sat up.
“Morning, Pikachu.” He said, staring down at his lap, expecting to see the mouse Pokemon curled up there. Oddly enough, however, it wasn’t. He stared around at the cabin, but Pikachu was nowhere in sight. Dawn and Misty weren’t in the cabin either. He got up, dressed, and went outside. Dawn was sitting by the campfire, her back to Ash. The smell of sausages in the air told Ash that Dawn was making breakfast. He sat down in front of her.
“Morning, Dawn. Have you seen Misty or Pikachu? Neither of them were in the cabin when I woke up.”
“I haven’t seen them.” Dawn said, looking up. “I guess they’re going for a walk.”
“You’re probably right. Misty probably hasn’t been able to get out too often lately, what with being stuck in Cerulean Gym.” Suddenly, he noticed Dawn’s face. She looked horrible; her eyes were bloodshot, her face was pale, and her hair was sticking out everywhere. Ash stared nervously at her.
“Um, Dawn, you don’t look too good. Are you feeling okay?”
“I’m fine.” Dawn said, getting up, taking a comb out of her bag, and beginning to brush her hair. “I just didn’t sleep too well, that’s all…”
Ash hesitated. “Are you sure you’re okay? You really look bad…why don’t you get some rest?”
“I guess you’re right. I probably shouldn’t be travelling in this condition. I’m going to go lay down for a little while.”
“Okay.” Ash said, getting up. “I’m going to go look for Misty and Pikachu.”

Little did Ash know that Misty and Pikachu, along with Team Rocket, were currently trapped inside of Dawn’s body, with no way out. As Dawn entered the cabin and crawled back into bed, Misty's senses came back to her as she woke up after being knocked out from the fall through Dawn's throat. She kept her eyes shut tight, however, not wanting to get up just yet. She had just had a very strange dream...she dreamed that she and Team Rocket had been shrunken by her Mime Jr., and wound up getting eaten by Dawn. It was quite a relief to know that none of it had been real...suddenly, she noticed something strange. The floor she was sleeping on felt wet and slightly mushy...almost like a sponge. It was also very hot in the room for some reason. Misty opened her eyes, and stared up at the ceiling. It, too, looked very wet, and was a pinkish color. It was also very high, like a church ceiling, and at the very top was a strange hole that appeared to lead into a tunnel. Misty sat bolt upright, staring around at her surroundings. She was dumbstruck. She appeared to be in a cave, except all of the walls were the same pinkinish color and appeared to be wet. Most of the cave was filled with an acid-green, sizzling liquid in which gigantic, pill-shaped capsules were slowly melting. And laying unconscious on one of the floating capsules was Team Rocket, piled up on one another and all three unconscious. With a jolt of horror, Misty jumped to her feet. There could only be one explanation as to where Misty was and how she and Team Rocket ended up in here...it hadn't been a dream. She really was shrunken, and inside of Dawn's body. But something wasn't right...where was Pikachu? Misty knew that the Pokemon had been swallowed along with herself and Team Rocket, so it had to be around here somewhere...but where? Looking around, Misty found Pikachu laying in a corner of the stomach, unconscious. Misty picked up Pikachu, holding it in her arm.

"Oh, no, Pikachu..."

As she stared worridly down at Pikachu, it slowly opened it's eyes. Suddenly, Misty heard coughing. Looking up, she saw that Team Rocket had woken up as well.

"Hey, where are we?" Jessie asked. "Oh, James, get off of me!"

"Ah! We're stranded!" Meowth yelled, jumping up at the sight of the stomach acid that surrounded them.

At Meowth's words, Jessie and James looked down at the acid that surrounded them, and both jumped up as well.

"Oh, no, you're right!" Jessie shouted hysterically. "What are we going to do?"

"Quit moving, Jimmy, or we're gonna fall in!" Meowth yelled.

"Hey, it's the twerp!" Jessie shouted, spotting Misty. "Can you please give us a hand?"

"Hold on, I'll figure out something!" Misty yelled back, trying to think of what to do. Then, she had an idea. She pulled out one of her Poke Balls.

"Go! Golduck!" She shouted, releasing her Golduck from it' Poke Ball. Golduck turned to Misty for instructions.

"Okay, Golduck, use your physic powers to lift Team Rocket over to shore!"

The Pokemon quacked in reply, then focused it's gaze upon Team Rocket, who began to glow blue. Suddenly, all three were tossed off of the capsule, and landed on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Misty asked, holding out a hand to Jessie.

"Get away from me!" she snapped, thrusting Misty's hand away. Misty became furious.

"I was just trying to help, you know." Misty said angrily. "Why can't you three be nice for once?"

"Nice...yeah, right." Jessie said disgustedly, getting up.

"We're Team Rocket, we're supposed to be evil!" James said proudly.

"Yeah, we may be working with you, twerp, but that don't mean we're your friends!" Meowth said. "And remember, the second we get out of here, our truce is over!"

"I should have known." Misty said, shaking her head. "You three never change."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a gigantic splash came from the water, and all four people turned around. Sticking out of the water was a gigantic, pale worm that fixed it's gaze upon Misty, Pikachu, Golduck, and Team Rocket. It did not look very friendly at all.

"Ew! What is that thing!" Jessie shouted in horror.

"I think it's a parasite!" James shouted quickly. "It must be hungry!"

"Oh, no...that disgusting bug is going to eat us!" Misty screamed hysterically.

"You're the Trainer, twerp! Do something!" Meowth shouted at Misty.

But Misty was frozen with horror. This was like a nightmare come true...a disgusting, filthy, evil bug that was the size of a monster was going to try and eat her! But Meowth was right...she HAD to do something, and fast.

"Golduck, use Water Gun!" Misty ordered. Golduck quacked in reply, and quickly hit the parasite with a powerful blast of water. But it didn't do anything; in fact, the parasite seemed to enjoy the water.

"Oh, no, we're done for!" Jessie shouted.

"We're gonna be eaten twice in one day!" Meowth shouted as the parasite closed in on them.

"I'm always up for a meal, but not when I'm the main course!" James yelled.

Suddenly, Misty had an idea.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Misty shouted. Pikachu nodded, jumped out of Misty's arms, then hit the parasite with a jolt of lightning, knocking the worm out and causing it to fall right back into the stomach acid with a loud SPLASH! Misty breathed a sigh of relief.

"That was a close one...thanks a lot, Pikachu!" Misty said, bending down to pet the mouse Pokemon. However, she was knocked out of the way as the overjoyed Team Rocket faced Pikachu.

"Oh, Pikachu, you're fantastic!" Jessie said excitedly.

"Well done, Pikachu!" James added, shaking the mouse Pokemon's paw.

"You're a Pokemon hero!" Meowth cut in, grinning at Pikachu.

Outside of Dawn's body, Dawn quickly sat bolt upright as she felt a huge pain in her stomach from Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Back inside of her stomach, as Team Rocket continued to thank Pikachu, a slightly irritated Misty sent her Golduck back into it's Poke Ball. Then, without warning, Dawn' sudden movement sent Misty, Pikachu, and Team Rocket flying foward, landing in the stomach acid.

"Hey, what's going on?" Jessie asked confusedly. "And why isn't this stuff digesting us?"

"It must have been Golduck's Water Gun." Misty said. "The extra water must have cooled off the stomach acid. It won't last long, though. We've got to get back to-"

Suddenly, Misty stopped, as she noticed something else about the stomach acid. It was starting to spin. Then, even more suddenly, a whirlpool began to form, and everyone was being sucked in.

"What's happening now?" Meowth shouted.

"Pikachu's Thunderbolt!" Misty shouted, a look of realization dawning on her face. "It must have triggered a muscle spasm in the stomach muscles that drain food and liquids out of the stomach!"

"Oh, no! I can't reach land!" Jessie shouted.

"Looks like we're in for a wet ride!" Meowth yelled.

"Everyone, hold your breath, now!" Misty yelled to the others.

And as everyone quickly held their breath, they were sucked down the whirlpool and through the drain.

Chapter 3

Exhausted, Ash sat down on a nearby rock. He had been searching the woods for hours, looking for Misty and Pikachu, but neither of them were anywhere to be found...

"I still don't get it." He said to himself, sighing. "It's not like Misty OR like Pikachu to run off like this...where in the world are they?"

Suddenly, Ash looked up, and jumped back in shock. Sitting before him was Team Rocket's all-too familiar hot air balloon. But it was empty. Ash jumped up, angrily staring at the hot air balloon.

"Team Rocket! I should have known they were nearby! Those crooks! I bet they're behind this! They must have kidnapped Misty and Pikachu! And if their balloon is still here, they've got to be nearby! I'll find those three losers if it's the last thing I do!"

His eyes darted around the many trees, then he sighed.

"Wait a minute...how am I supposed to find them in these woods? It's so big...they could be anywhere...but I can't give up! I've got to save Pikachu and Misty! Go, Staraptor!" He yelled, throwing a Poke Ball at the ground. Staraptor came out, and flew into the air, waiting for Ash's instructions.

"Staraptor, I need your help to find Misty and Pikachu. They're missing, and we've got to find them as soon as we can!"

Staraptor hooted in response, then flew off. Ash sighed.

"I wish there was some way I could help Staraptor look." But I'll never find Team Rocket in these woods, and I don't have wings. Still, there's got to be something that I can do!"

Suddenly, his eyes fell upon Team Rocket's hot air balloon, and he had an idea. He quickly jumped in, and set off.

"If Team Rocket's not here, I'm sure they won't mind me borrowing their hot air balloon." Ash said.

Meanwhile, inside of Dawn's body, Misty, Pikachu, and Team Rocket were being washed down Dawn's intestines. Misty was the only one who didn't have trouble breathing; as she swam constantly at the Cerulean City Gym, she was so well adapted to swimming that she could hold her breath for up to five minutes!

As Misty swam with the flow of the water, she spotted land, and quickly climbed onto it. Quickly following was Team Rocket, who were unsurprisingly blue-faced. They quickly got up, breathing heavily.

"Umm...where are we now?" Meowth asked, staring around at their surroundings. Misty looked around as well; it was a very big place. Several thick blood vessels hung across the church-high ceiling. It was an amazing view. Misty then turned to Team Rocket.

"I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think we're in the kidneys." Misty said.

"So, this is what the inside of a kidney looks like?" Jessie said, looking up at the many blood vessels. "It's certainly complex..."

"Oh, no!" Meowth shouted in horror. "Guys, look over there!"

Everyone turned to see what Meowth was pointing at. Misty's blood became ice-cold once again, and a horrific chill shot down her spine.

There, in that corner, were at least five more parasites, except this time they were fighting a group of white, human-shaped creatures. At least five of them surrounded each parasite. As the group watched, the white creatures began forming white, sludge-like balls in their hands and throwing them at the parasites.
As each ball of sludge hit the parasites, it appeared to leave a powerful burn where it hit, causing the parasites to roar in rage.

"There are more of those things!" Jessie shouted. "Why do they keep showing up everywhere we go?"

"And what are those white things fighting it?" James added, staring at the creatures.

Misty thought for a moment.

"I'm not entirely sure, but I think that those are white blood cells. Ash described them just like these creatures when he was in my body."

"So, what do we do?" Meowth asked Misty anxiously. "I ain't gonna get eaten by some brainless worms!"

"We should probably leave." Misty said, searching for an exit. "But I don't know where we could go..."

Chapter 4

As Ash looked out at his surroundings from inside of Team Rocket's balloon(which he had borrowed and set off into the sky with in the previous chapter), Misty and Pikachu were nowhere to be seen. As Ash continued staring into the woods, desperate for a sign of Misty and Pikachu's location, Staraptor flew back over to him. Ash turned to it.

"Did you find anything, Staraptor?" Ash asked hopefully.

The bird Pokemon shook it's head. Clearly, it hadn't found the two. Ash sighed.

"Pikachu...Misty...where are you?"

As Ash looked out at the woods below, he spotted a nearby city.

"Hey, that's Pewter City! I can go there and get Officer Jenny to help me look! And I can get some medicine for Dawn, too! Let's go, Staraptor!"

Staraptor hooted in response, and Ash directed the hot air balloon to Pewter City.

"Don't worry, Pikachu and Misty. I'll find you both no matter what it takes! Just hang in there! Team Rocket's not going to get away with this, I swear it!"

But as much as Ash was worried about Pikachu and Misty, he was also very worried about Dawn. He was starting to think that leaving her alone wasn't a very good idea...what if Team Rocket had kidnapped her too?

"I should probably call Dawn, just to see how she's doing." Ash said, getting out his Pokegear and dialing Dawn's phone number.

Meanwhile, Misty, Pikachu, and Team Rocket were still trapped inside of Dawn's body. Luckily for them, they had escaped the attack of the white blood cells...for now.

Flying out of a nerve cell, Misty landed roughly on the ground. Getting up, she stared at her surroundings. The walls of this room were a reddish pink color, and looked like several large tubes folded on top of one another. The floor was exactly like the walls. More reddish pink tubes exactly like the ones that made up the walls and the floor lay on the ground. Misty noticed that a strange yellow jolt of electricity seemed to be travelling through the tubes.

Suddenly, there was a loud thud behind Misty, and as she turned around she saw Jessie, James and Meowth land on top of one another, quickly followed by Pikachu, who jumped off of the disgruntled trio and onto the ground.

"James, Meowth, get off of me before I throw you off!" Jessie shouted irritably from underneath the other two, who quickly got off of her.

"Where are we now?" Meowth asked, staring at the surrounding room.

"I don't know, to be honest." Misty said. "I think we're somewhere in Dawn's brain."

"Hey, those white things didn't follow us!" James pointed out.

"That's because they're white blood cells. They can only travel in the bloodstream." Misty said.

"So..we're safe?" Meowth asked.

"For now." Misty replied.

"Well, let's find a way out of here, then, before those annoying white things show up again!" Jessie said, getting up.

"Not yet." Misty said. "I want to try and get rid of all of these parasites first, to cure Dawn. Once they're all gone, then we can leave."

"Are you crazy?" James asked.

"We can't fight all of those things!" Jessie pointed out. Misty turned to the trio.

"Dawn's my friend, and she's sick." She said sternly. "I'm not leaving until she's cured."

"Look, twerp, if you want to stay here and get eaten alive by those monsters, that's your problem." Jessie said.

"Yeah," Meowth said, "but the second we find a way out of here, we're splitting."

"Fine." Misty said, turning away from Team Rocket. "I wouldn't except a bunch of crooks like you three to help someone, anyway."

"Whatever." Jessie said.

Suddenly, there was a very loud ringing sound that echoed off of the walls of the room.

"What is that noise?" Jessie yelled, as everyone clapped their hands to their ears.

Suddenly, they heard Dawn's voice.

"Hello?"

"Now I get it!" said Misty. We're in the part of the brain that processes sounds!"

"Dawn?" It was Ash's voice this time. "How are you feeling?"

"Not too good, to be honest." Dawn's voice replied. "Have you found Pikachu and Misty yet?"

"No, but I know Team Rocket kidnapped them. I found their balloon in the woods."

"How dare that little twerp accuse us of breaking the law!" Jessie shouted angrily.

"Yeah, we may be crooks, but that doesn't give people the right to jump to conclusions about us!" Meowth added angrily.

"We're not behind every crime, you know!" James added.

"They can't hear you, you know!" Misty shouted irritably at the trio.

"What a surprise." Dawn's voice said exaspiratedly. "Team Rocket never learns from their mistakes, do they?"

"That's not true!" Meowth shouted. "We're just persistent!"

"Don't worry," Ash's voice said. "I borrowed Team Rocket's balloon, and I'm heading to Pewter City now to get Officer Jenny. She should be able to help me look. I'm also going to pick up some medicine for you while I'm there."

"He stole our balloon?!" Jessie shouted, enraged.

"You can't steal from theives!" James shouted angrily.

"I'm glad." Dawn's voice replied. "I hope you find them soon. And thanks for getting the medicine for me, I feel like I'm getting worse by the minute."

"No problem." Ash said. "I'll see you soon, Dawn."

"Okay, bye." Dawn said. Then, there was silence.

"I feel like I've gone deaf." Jessie said, uncovering her ears.

"Never mind that, let's look for a way out of here before those white blood cells show up."

"There's one!" James said, pointing to a small hole in the wall. It appeared to be big enough for everyone to fit through.

"Okay, let's get going." Misty said, walking over to the hole. Now that she knew that Ash was going to get some medicine for Dawn, she felt much better. She had bigger worries at the moment; those white blood cells were programmed to eliminate viruses at all costs. And if they thought Misty and the others were viruses...well, the best she could do was hope that she wasn't going to run into them.

Chapter 5

After arriving in Pewter City and explaining the situation to Officer Jenny, she and Ash quickly went to the market to pick up some medication for Dawn. However, while at the market, Ash encounters an unexpected problem.

"WHAT?! You don't have any medicine?!" Ash repeated, staring desperately at the clerk.

"I'm sorry, son, but winter's coming and a lot of people have been getting sick lately. We're completely out of all medications."

"Great." Ash said, sighing. "Now what am I going to do?"

"Ash, let me handle this." Officer Jenny said, stepping up to the counter. "Do you have any idea when your next shipment of medicine will be coming in?"

"I'm afraid it's going to be at least a week. I'm terribly sorry."

"Well, Ash," Officer Jenny said, turning to him. "I'm afraid I don't really know what I can do."

"But we have to do something!" Ash pleaded desperately. "My friend is really sick!"

"Hey, Ash." said a familiar voice from behind Ash. "I didn't expect to see you here!"

Turning around, Ash saw his old friend Brock walking torwards him.

"Morning, Officer Jenny." He said casually. Then, he turned to Ash. "So, what brings you to Pewter City?"

"Well- wait," Ash said, looking puzzled. "Brock, you're not going nuts over Officer Jenny!"

"Oh, please. I've been rejected by this Officer Jenny so many times that I just gave up on her."

"That's a first." Ash said, staring at Brock.

"Anyway, what were you saying, Ash?" Brock asked. "You seem upset."

"Dawn's really sick, and next to that Team Rocket's kidnapped Misty and Pikachu. Officer Jenny is helping me look for them."

"I see." Brock said. "You know, if Dawn's sick, I could probably whip up a medicine for her."

"Hey, that's a great idea!" Ash said. "Thanks a lot, Brock!"

"Where's Dawn now?" Brock asked.

"She's resting in a cabin in the woods. C'mon, let's head down there."

"Okay, but first I'll need to get the ingredients for the medicine from this store."

"Oh, right." Ash said, sitting down.

Meanwhile, back at the cabin, Misty and the others were still trapped inside of Dawn's body. They were safe...for now.

After carefully climbing through the hole, Misty got up. suddenly, she heard a loud THUD! from behind her. Turning around, she saw that Jessie, James and Meowth had all tried to go through the hole at the same time, and were now stuck.

"Do you guys need any help?" she asked.

"No." Jessie said sarcastically. "You go ahead without us and we'll just get murdered by those white things."

"Don't tempt me." Misty snapped, pulling out a Poke Ball. "Go, Golduck!"

She threw the Poke Ball into the air, and her Golduck came out, greeting Misty with a quack.

"Golduck, use Confusion to pull Team Rocket out of that hole."

Golduck nodded, and turned to Team Rocket, who began to glow blue, and were instantly forced out of the hole, landing hard on the ground.

"Happy now?" Misty asked the disgruntled trio sarcastically.

"Thrilled." Jessie said irritably. "Where are we, anyway?"

Misty turned to study her surroundings. The room looked just like the previous one, except that several large bubbles hung from the ceiling, low enough for Misty to touch. There was a strange glow coming from each bubble. Mesmerized, Misty walked up to one of the bubbles, and poked it. Suddenly, she, her Golduck, Pikachu and Team Rocket were all sucked right into the bubble. Suddenly, everyone found themselves in a bedroom, where a young blue-haired girl was playing with her toys.

"How did we get in here?" Meowth asked.

"I think we're in one of Dawn's memories." Misty said, staring at the blue-haired child.

"Dawn! Dinnertime!" A loud female voice called upstairs.

"Okay, Mom, I'm coming!" The little girl called back, getting up and running out of the room. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and Misty, along with everyone else, found themselves back in the strange, bubble-filled room.

"We're in Dawn's memory banks." Misty said, turning to the others. "These bubbles hanging from the ceiling are Dawn's memories."

"Wow, so these are the twerp's memories?" James said, staring around the room.

"PIKA!" Pikachu shouted from behind the others, who turned. Misty gulped. Standing in front of the hole through which they had entered the room were more white blood cells, and the red glow was still emitting from inside of their chests.

"RUN!" Misty yelled, turning around and bolting away from the white blood cells, colliding face-first with yet another bubble and sending everyone back into another memory. This time they were in a forest. But, upon seeing that the white blood cells had also entered the memory, everyone kept running, winding their way through the vast woods as quickly as they could. Eventually they reached a cave, and everyone quickly hid inside. As the white blood cells came charging torwards the cave, Misty's Golduck used a Water Gun on them, causing all of them to trip and fall on top of one another. Then, quite suddenly, everyone found themselves back outside of the memory. The white blood cells were still piled on top of one another, and Misty and the others quickly took advantage of the moment to dive into a nearby neuron, winding up in another chamber of Dawn's body. Gasping for breath, Misty sat down, but quickly jumped up, as the floor was extremely gooey.

"Please tell me those white things didn't follow us this time." Jessie said, collapsing against a wall.

"I don't see them." Meowth said, looking around.

Suddenly, Misty spotted light. Then, even more suddenly, the room began to shake, and a sudden burst of air shot everyone out of Dawn's nose, causing them to land on her chest. Misty looked around. This time they were all back in the cabin. At long last, they had escaped Dawn's body.

"Umm...what just happened?" James asked, staring at his new surroundings. Misty thought for a moment.

"We must have been shot out of Dawn's nose, and now we're back in the cabin." She concluded. "Which means, we can finally unshrink ourselves."

"Yeah, but how?" Meowth asked.

"My Mime Jr." Misty answered. "It's been resting for a while now- it should be able to return us to our normal size. Mime Jr., go!" Misty shouted, throwing the Poke Ball into the air. Misty's Mime Jr. came out.

"Mime Jr., can you return us to our normal size?" Misty asked the baby Pokemon. It quickly nodded, and began to glow blue. Suddenly, everyone else began to glow blue, and, even more suddenly, everyone found themselves back to their normal sizes.

"Ow!" Dawn shouted, as the weight of all three people and four Pokemon suddenly hit her. "What's going on here?"

"Sorry." Everyone said quickly, getting off of Dawn, who stared dumbstruck at the group of people who had suddenly entered the cabin.

"Misty? Team Rocket? How did all of you get here?" she asked, sitting up.

"It's a long story." Misty said, sitting down on Dawn's bed. She then told Dawn everything. By the time Misty had finished, Dawn looked quite shocked.

"So, this whole time you've been INSIDE me?!" Dawn asked in shock. "Ash thought you and Pikachu had gotten kidnapped by Team Rocket."

"Hey, speaking of Team Rocket, where did they go?" Misty asked, turning around and noticing that the trio had vanished. Suddenly, Dawn gasped.

"My supply bag!" She screamed, staring at the spot where her supply bag had previously been. "It's gone! And all of my Pokemon were inside of that bag!"

"Wait- Pikachu's gone, too!" Misty pointed out, jumping up from the bed as she noticed that the Electric Mouse Pokemon had vanished.

"I bet it was Team Rocket!" Dawn said angrily. "They must have stolen Pikachu and my supply bag while we were talking!"

"Wait here." Misty said. "I'll go look for them. Golduck, return!" she said, returning her Golduck to it's Poke Ball. "Let's go, Mime Jr.!"

The two then left the cabin. Team Rocket was standing outside, locking Pikachu in a cage. Misty stepped forward.

"I see you three clowns are back to stealing Pikachu." She said, staring at the trio in disgust.

"Thanks for noticing." Jessie said, with a wicked grin. "We'll be leaving now!"

And, picking up the cage containing Pikachu, Team Rocket quickly made a run for it.

"Get back here!" Misty yelled, chasing after the trio. Meanwhile, Team Rocket was delighted with their success.

"Ah, it feels good to be evil again!" James said happily.

"Yeah, now we've got Pikachu and all of the blue-haired twerp's Pokemon!" Meowth added happily.

"Hold it, you three!" said a voice from in front of the trio, who stopped dead. They had just ran right into Officer Jenny, who was accompinied by Ash and Brock. Ash stared angrily at Team Rocket.

"Team Rocket!" He yelled furiously. "Give back Pikachu, now!"

"Why should we?" Jessie asked angrily. "Pikachu's our Pokemon now!"

"And so are all of the blue-haired twerp's Pokemon!" James added.

"Yeah, you want them back, you'll have to come and get them!" Meowth cut in.

Suddenly, Misty arrived on the scene.

"Misty, you're okay!" Ash said happily as Misty and her Mime Jr. walked over to them.

"Is this the girl you said you were looking for?" Officer Jenny asked Ash.

"That's her." Ash said, turning to Officer Jenny. "And those are the crooks that kidnapped my Pikachu!"

"I think it's a fair deal." Jessie said, grinning. "You steal our balloon, we steal your Pikachu."

"I was only borrowing your balloon!" Ash yelled at the trio. "And I only did it to look for Misty and my Pikachu, which you three losers kidnapped!"

"How dare you!" Jessie yelled. "In case you haven't noticed, your little red-haired friend is fine! We didn't kidnap her!"

"Don't you know it's wrong to accuse people of doing things without any proof?" James added defensively.

"When it comes to you three, I don't need proof! You're always making trouble!" Ash shouted.

"For once, they're telling the truth, Ash." Misty said, turning to him.

"Huh? What do you mean, Misty?" Ash asked, staring at Misty.

"I'll explain later." Misty replied.

"You three are under arrest." Officer Jenny said, stepping forward. "I suggest you come quietly."

"Dream on! Go, Seviper!" Jessie shouted, releasing her Seviper from it's Poke Ball.

"Go, Wartortle!" Officer Jenny shouted, releasing her Wartortle from it's Poke Ball.

"Seviper, use "Poision Tail"!" Jessie shouted. Her Seviper darted forward, swinging it's glowing tail forward.

"Wartortle, use "Water Gun"!" Officer Jenny shouted. Her Wartortle then hit Team Rocket with a blast of water, causing the cage containing Pikachu to shatter and allowing Pikachu to run up to Ash. All of Dawn's Poke Ball's also flew into the air, and got stuck in a nearby tree. Now, it was Ash's turn.

"Pikachu, use "Thunderbolt"!" Ash shouted. Pikachu quickly hit Team Rocket with a powerful Thunderbolt, frying them and their Pokemon.

"Mime Jr., use "Shrink"!" Misty shouted. Mime Jr. nodded, and it, along with Team Rocket, began to glow blue. Then, quite suddenly, Team Rocket shrunk once again to very tiny sizes. Officer Jenny stepped forward, and picked up the shrunken trio, holding them in the palm of her hand.

"Wartortle, use "Water gun"!" she said. Wartortle nodded, and it hit Team Rocket with a blast of water that sent them flying into the air and blasting off once again.

"Hey, Misty." Brock said, walking up to her. "When did you get a Mime Jr.?"

"A couple of weeks ago, while I was back at the Cerulean City Gym. What are you doing here, Brock?"

"Brock's going to make some medicine for Dawn." Ash explained.

"Right." Brock said. "Let's head back to the cabin and I'll make the medicine for Dawn."

Then, after using Misty's Mime Jr.'s "Confusion" to retreive Dawn's Poke Balls from the tree, everyone went back to the cabin, where Brock prepared a medicine for Dawn and gave it to her. Eventually she began to feel better. Meanwhile, Misty explained everything to Ash, whose reaction was similar to Dawn's. Meanwhile, Brock went back to Pewter City, and Ash, Misty and Dawn decided to spend one more night at the cabin before leaving. The next morning, everyone was packed and they were on their way to Pallet Town. As they made their way through the woods, Misty suddenly spotted the still-shrunken Team Rocket up ahead.

"Hey, look, guys, it's Team Rocket." Misty said, pointing to the shrunken trio.

"Should we help them?" Ash asked. Misty walked over to them, and picked them up. All three criminals screamed at the sight of the gigantic Misty.

"Umm...hello twerps." Jessie said in a false-pleasent voice. "Could you please return us to normal size now?"

"I think we should keep them with us for a while until we reach the next town." Misty said, slipping off her sneaker. "Then, we can turn them in to Officer Jenny and unshrink them once they're in her custody. Until then I'll keep them in my sneaker."

"What?! You can't do that!" Jessie yelled.

"We could suffocate!" James pointed out furiously.

"Yeah, you might kill us!" Meowth added.

Misty ignored them. She dropped them into her sneaker.

"Ash has been in my sneaker before and HE didn't suffocate. You'll be fine."

She began to slip on the sneaker. Team Rocket gulped.

"Looks like we're in for a smelly ride." Jessie said.

"At least we're not blasting off." James pointed out.

"Maybe the stench of failure will block out this stench." Meowth said nervously.

"Team Rocket's stinking out again!" All three cried hysterically, as Misty slipped on the sneaker completely.

"So, now it's on to Pallet Town." Ash said happily.

"Yeah, you haven't been home in a long time, huh, Ash?" Misty asked.

"I'm sure you're mother will be thrilled to see you again!" Dawn added.

"Yep. I'm finally going back home!" Ash said.

And as our heros set off for Pallet Town, Misty looks back on yet another exciting day in the world of Pokemon. What adventures will Ash, Misty and Dawn experience next?
