Linkle's Tall Tale

(Cubed Cinder; idea by Twilight Prince)

The monsters took several uneasy steps back as they watched the young girl named Linkle sweep her boots backwards.
"Okay, here it comes! Pegasus Dash!" Linkle shouted as she then went charging forward like a raging bull, knocking down the enemies in her path. She knocked out at least 60 of them by her best count, and she couldn't help but gloat over her victory as she placed one of her boots on the head of a fallen Moblin.
"Haha! Now do you see why I am the legendary hero?" Linkle said. Of course, the monsters weren't done attacking by a long shot. In fact, Linkle had to rub the back of her head and she felt it get hit by an arrow.
"Ow!" Linkle said as she turned around and faced the skeleton archers.
"Okay... I can play bow and arrow too!" Linkle said as she reached down for her boots and pulled off her dual crossbows. Linkle wasted no time in firing back, shooting a rapid series of arrows at the monsters.
It took a few minutes, but finally the area was clear of all but a few mindless stragglers.
"Yes! Score another victory for the legendary hero!" Linkle said as she put away her crossbows and held onto her locket.
"Help! We need assistance!" one of the guards shouted. Even from far away, Linkle could hear the cry for help.
"Oh dear! That's one of the troop leaders! I better help him pronto!" Linkle said as she got to running through the open field.

Linkle ran as fast as she could, but could hear the cry for help sounding more critical.
"We can't... hold on... much longer!" the guard shouted from afar. Linkle could tell these guards were probably one or two good hits away from having to retreat from their base.
"Oh no... I can't give up! Not now! They're depending on me, but I don't think I'm going to make it in time!" Linkle said. She then came up to another fork in the road, and we all know how those usually work out. Despite the fact there was clearly a sign pointing to the left with Hyrule Castle painted on it, Linkle faced to the right.
"Mmmhmm... okay, right it is! Don't worry, Hyrule Castle... help is on the way!" Linkle said as he turned to the right towards the dense forest.

Linkle ran in the forest, and its density caused the battle sounds between the monsters and Hyrulean troops to die down to almost a muffle. Linkle strolled through the forest for what felt like several minutes, looking around and wandering when it would all end.
"Wow... this is a very big forest. The end of it has to be around here somewhere... WHOA!!!" Linkle said. She wasn't watching where she was going and ended up tripping over something.
"Ow ow ow ow... that smarts." Linkle said. As she pulled her green hood back over her head (showing just her face), she finally looked to see what it was she tripped over. It was a lonely treasure chest.
"Oh? A treasure chest?" Linkle said. She slowly walked up towards it and lifted it open, briefly having to shield her eyes from the bright light. Finally she reached inside and lifted out...
"Huh? It's just an old looking mask." Linkle said as she examined the mask from every angle. She wouldn't know it just yet, but this was the famous Giant's Mask that she was holding onto.
"It sure looks kinda ugly. Even my Cuccos would be scared of me!" Linkle said, "Well, I guess wearing it for a little while wouldn't hurt."
That's when Linkle turned the mask so that she could place it on her face. The moment she put the Giant's Mask on her face, it suddenly lit up with blue energy that knocked Linkle back a few steps.
"Hey! What the!?" Linkle shouted. She tried to pull the mask off her face but it was stuck to her face. But that wasn't the least of her problems. She felt a surge of energy coursing through her body.
"What's... what's happening!?... AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Linkle screamed as she looked up in the sky and spread her arms out.

And that's when Linkle grew. Bigger and bigger and bigger the 'legendary hero' grew as her head quickly grew past the tallest trees of the forest. Eventually, the growth stopped, putting her at 150 feet tall, with the tallest of the trees only reaching up to her knees. More importantly, the energy surge stopped and Linkle was able to freely move around again. At first, Linkle (still wearing the Giant's Mask) was confused over where she was as she looked out and saw an open field.
"Huh? What happened? Did that mask teleport me to another land?" Linkle said. Then she looked down and lightly gasped. She was towering over the forest she once ran into.
"The... the forest!? How did it shrink? Or maybe..." Linkle said as she looked around some more.
"Maybe it was that mask that made me grow instead? Oh my! What an incredible power!" Linkle said. She reached up to the mask and tried to pull it off, but was still having no luck in doing so.
"Ugh... this mask sure is on tight." Linkle said. Just then, she heard a male voice crying out for help.
"Quick! Someone help! We can't hold on much longer!" the male voice said. Linkle recognized it as one of the Hyrulean guards... the very same one she was trying to run to their rescue before all these growth shenanigans happened. Linkle looked out where the call came from and could faintly see Hyrule Castle out in the distance.
"Oh! There's Hyrule Castle! The guards still need my help!" Linkle said. And that's when her imagination took over and she realized something important.
"Wait a minute... I'm gigantic now. I can reach the battlefield in seconds... AND crush those monsters like they're little bugs! Hold on, Hyrule Castle, the now GIANT Legendary Hero is coming to the rescue!" Linkle said. She took a couple big steps out of the forest and walked through the open field, making her way to where the guards were calling for help.

A couple miles away from Hyrule Castle, several guards were finding it difficult to counterattack against the monsters. Morale fell fast as another fort fell and the numerous creatures, such as Moblins, Stalfos, and Lizalfos, all got closer and closer to the castle. Impa tried to help the guards as best as she could, but even her Sheikah magic and combat skills were proving ineffective.
"Commander Impa! It's no use! There's just too many of them!" the guard said.
"Keep fighting, soldier! We cannot give up. Princess Zelda is depending on us!" Impa shouted as she swung her sword once more, cutting down a few monsters.
Just then, everyone including the monsters stopped when they heard booming sounds getting louder and louder, plus the ground shook ever so slightly with each boom. The guards finally took notice of what was coming.
"Oh my word! Look!" one of the guards shouted. He, Impa, and everyone else looked up in awe as the giant person approached. Of course, we knew it was the super-sized Linkle, but the guards hadn't fully figured that out yet because her face was being covered by the Giant's Mask.
"Huh? Who is that?" one guard asked.
"That person's clothes look familiar..." another guard said.
"No, it couldn't be her." another guard said. Linkle then spoke.
"Fee fi fo fum! I smell the blood of some teeny tiny monsters at my boots." Linkle said. The monsters didn't think twice as they ran away from the giantess.
"Haha! You're not getting away that easily!" Linkle said as she stepped towards the monsters. She then lifted up her right boot and slammed it down, sending the entire group of monsters, almost a hundred, flying in the air before they crashed to the ground and disintegrated.

After Linkle did the same thing to another group of monsters that was closing in on a group of Hyrulean soldiers, morale instantly jumped back up for the soldiers, especially as Impa spoke up.
"You see how quickly the battle has turned, soldiers? It's like our prayers to the goddesses have been answered. Now let us help the titaness in finishing the job!" Impa shouted.
"Yes, Commander Impa!!!" all the soldiers shouted as they got back to swinging their swords left and right against the monsters, letting out a roar like they were charging head on into a scrum full of evil monsters. Linkle didn't stop with the monsters she already crushed. Making sure to be careful she didn't crush any of the soldiers, she looked squarely through the eyeholes of the Giant's Mask and helped out wherever she could by crushing more and more monsters. She even slid her boot after one crush, pretending to spread the monster's remains onto the field (even though they disintegrated).

Finally, a few minutes later, the monsters just plain vanished. Every last one of them.
"Oh? The monsters? They're gone, Commander Impa!" one of the guards said.
"It seems Link and the others were victorious in driving Volga and Wizzro from Death Mountain." Impa said.
"Yes! That means we won!" one of the guards said as they held their weapons up in the air and cheered.
"Oh, but we didn't do it alone. We have the eternal gratitude of this gigantic person." another soldier said as he waved up to the 150-foot-tall Linkle.
"Wow... she certainly is big! I wonder what kind of magic she possesses." another guard said.
"Haha! It was my pleasure. Now if only I could get this mask off." Linkle said. She took another stab at trying to pull the Giant's Mask off her face. And this time, after a few more firm tugs (and grunts like she was trying to move a boulder), the mask finally came off, revealing Linkle's familiar face.
"Whew... finally! My face was burning up inside that mask!" Linkle said.
"LINKLE!?!??!?" all the soldiers shouted.

They recognized the girl from having helped out in other battlefields around Hyrule.
"Well now, this is interesting." Impa said.
"Heehee... hi, everyone! Yes, it's me. Wow... you all look so small from up here." Linkle said. Impa took a good long look at the Giant's Mask that Linkle was dangling in her right hand.
"Hmmm... now I understand." Impa said.
"What is it, Commander Impa? We once again bow to the magnificent wisdom you are about to share." one of the guards said.
"There was this legend of a land named Termina. There, one could find a series of masks, 24 of them if I'm not mistaken, where some would grant special powers to the user when worn, such as transforming into a Goron, running at super speed, the ability to read one's thoughts, or clearly in this case... enlarge the wearer to a giant size." Impa said.
"Wow... is that right? I guess I'm lucky to have found this mask! I wonder how long I'll stay this big?" Linkle said.
"That's the thing... you were supposed to shrink back to normal as soon as you took the mask off. The fact you are still giant is a mystery." Impa said.
"Oh?" Linkle said.
"Do not fear, Linkle. We will figure out a way to return you to normal. I will consult with Zelda and our new ally, Lana, once they return from Death Mountain. Perhaps they will have a solution." Impa said.
"Okay, but maybe you could take your time? I really like being this tall! Think of how many monsters I could stomp flat!" Linkle said as she stomped in place, causing a few nearby guards to jump up.
"Errr... that's very noble of you, Linkle, but I can sense no more evil nearby. We've all earned a good rest for now. Perhaps you should return to your home and do the same." Impa said.
"Yes, Impa... er, I mean, Commander Impa! I will do just that. My Cuccos probably really miss me!" Linkle said. After magically storing the Giant's Mask away into her outfit (much like other items like bombs and a hookshot), she then reached down for the magic compass she was wearing around her neck.
"And my grandmother's compass will point me in the right direction. Heehee! She'd probably be so proud of me that I've really grown up!" Linkle said as she turned in the direction the compass was pointing and happily walked her way away from the battlefield. Her huge size meant she could still be seen from far away, and the stomps on the ground from her boots could be heard from a long ways back too, as Impa and the guards watched the happy giantess walk off.
"Commander Impa, should we follow her? She could cause unintentional harm to a small village at that size." one of the guards said.
"No, we should leave her be. She's a... *ahem* big girl now." Impa said. But then she turned and faced two other soldiers who were riding on horses.
"Still, you two follow her back to where she lives and then report back to me. We will surely need to advise Zelda of this situation before the evil forces become aware." Impa said.
"Yes, Commander Impa!" the two soldiers said before they rode off and followed the giantess.

Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location, the evil sorceress Cia watched the giant Linkle walk happily through the plains.
"Hmmm... this is most interesting." Cia said. She then turned around and watched as a few portals opened up in her throne room. Jumping out were Volga, Wizzro, and a handful of clearly bruised and battered monsters.
"Mistress Cia, we beg for mercy. We have failed." Volga said.
"Yes, but that is not important now. Take a look at this." Cia said as she pointed back at the mirror.
"Oh? That girl... she could not be that size naturally!" Wizzro said.
"Obviously. There has to be a magical presence involved. I must have that power, then I can literally crush my adversaries! Hahaha!" Cia said.
"Fear not, Mistress Cia. We will attack that girl and..." Volga said.
"No, stupid! She'll either crush you or kick you halfway around the planet. Gather as many monsters as you and Wizzro can round up, and then launch a full assault on Kakariko Village. That will draw the giantess out." Cia said.
"Yes! And then we will steal whatever power that girl possesses and... ACK!" Wizzro said, but then had to stop when it felt like something was clutching its throat. It was Cia, using her telepathic powers to grab hold of Wizzro.
"That power is for ME! You two twits wouldn't even begin to comprehend the power that young girl wields! You will lead the assault and that is all." Cia said.
"As you wish, Mistress Cia. Come on, Wizzro, we must build our new army. We got decimated by those fools on Death Mountain." Volga said as he and Wizzro teleported out of the room. Cia looked back at the image of the giant Linkle on the mirror, then looked down at her boots and softly laughed as she imagined herself crushing heroes like Link, Zelda, and especially Lana.

Meanwhile, in a small village somewhere in Hyrule, life went on for the citizens of this village. Kids ran and played around, adults were washing clothes, cooking food, or doing many other things. But nearly all activity came to a stop when they felt the ground tremble. Slightly at first, but the thumps gradually got stronger and stronger, and the booming sounds grew with them.
"Hi, everyone!" a loud female voice suddenly shouted. Everyone looked where it came from, and many of them gasped, especially as the giantess pulled back her green hood so her face could clearly be seen.
"Linkle!?" one man shouted.
"What in all of Hyrule!? She's huge!" one woman said. She and the others watched as the giant Linkle came to a stop just shy of the first house in the village. And she certainly towered over said village. The windmill, the tallest structure in the village, just barely rose past her knees.
"Heeheehee! What do you think, everyone? The legendary hero has grown big and tall!" Linkle said as she playfully twirled around, showing off her giant self. A couple brave men approached the giantess's boots.
"Linkle, how did you grow so big?" one man said.
"Yeah! You didn't eat some red-and-white spotted mushroom or something, did you?" another man asked.
"Heehee! No. Actually, it was because of this mask." Linkle said as she pulled the Giant's Mask out.

Everyone ooooohed and aaaaahed over the mask as Linkle proudly displayed it.
"I found this mask in the forest during a battle. I put it on, and bingo! I grew this big. My new friends said they would figure out a way to return me to normal, but here I am in the meantime!" Linkle said as she put the mask back into her clothes.
"What... what are you going to do, Linkle? You're not going to crush our beautiful village, are you?" one man said.
"Heavens no! Why would I do such a thing? I'll be the sweetest, kindest, and most caring giantess you've ever seen." Linkle said as she winked one of her eyes down to the tiny people.
"Wow! Linkle is so big! I wish I could grow that big!" a young boy shouted in the crowd. Linkle couldn't help but giggle.
"Teehee... maybe when all this fighting is over, kiddo! But first... I must check to make sure my Cuccos are all okay. Everybody clear the way!" Linkle said. The giantess smiled as she watched the tiny people all ran out of the way, giving her a clean path towards her house.
"Thank you all!" Linkle said. She stepped onto the village grounds and made her way to her house.

It was only a few steps from the village entrance to her house, and Linkle didn't fully grasp her giant size until she looked down at her own house.
"Wow... my house is certainly tiny. If I were bigger, maybe I could pick it up and carry it with me!" Linkle said. She then stepped to the side of the house and looked at its backyard, where her farm of Cuccos were. The Cuccos, needless to say, panicked over seeing their master so huge. Many of them tried to leap over the tall fence and escape.
"Oh! Don't be afraid, my little Cuccos! It's just me!" Linkle said. The giantess kneeled down, then very carefully reached down and by using one finger to corral them, she got a few Cuccos into one of her gloved hands. Linkle then stood back up to her full height. Linkle had to squint a bit to better see the Cuccos, who were already small when she was normal-sized.
"That's right? It's me, Linkle. You remember... the one who's been raising you all these years." Linkle said. The Cuccos seemed to trust the giant Linkle given that none of them were panicking too much or trying to fly away. In fact, a few of them started cock-a-doodle-dooing.
"Oh? Why that noise? The morning sun came up hours ago!" Linkle commented. But then she lightly gasped when she saw what was coming. An army of Cuccos were flying in from the distance and swarming around the giant Linkle. The giantess felt the need to spread her arms out, and as soon as she did, many of the Cuccos landed squarely on her arms, sitting there like birds on a tree limb.
"Oh my! All these Cuccos!" Linkle said, watching as more of them landed on her arms and then her head and even around or on her boots. Linkle couldn't help but laugh and make a joke.
"Hahahaha!! I'm the Cucco Queen! Bow to me!" Linkle jokingly shouted.

However, some of the Cuccos weren't so friendly. It was part of legends told through the years that if one were to strike a Cucco enough times, it will call its friends to gang up and strike the offender until they lost all their hearts. And that seemed to be happening to Linkle as a few Cuccos rammed into her head.
"Ow! Hey! What was that all about?" Linkle asked. Of course, these Cuccos didn't answer, and they just got back to attacking the giantess. Linkle stumbled around a few times and was tempted to swat these rogue Cuccos out of the sky like flies, but thought better of it. Eventually, she took a step towards her house and it caused her to lose her balance.
"Whoa whoa whoa!! I'm going down! LOOK OUT BELOW!!!" Linkle shouted as she finally fell backwards. As all the Cuccos abandoned the giantess and either flew away (namely the 'evil' ones) or back into her backyard, Linkle crash landed on her behind in the middle of the village with a resounding...

BOOM!!!

"Owwww... that really smarts." Linkle said as she rubbed her behind. Then she looked over towards the village entrance where she saw an entourage approaching.
"Oh? What's this?" Linkle asked as she turned so that she was facing the group directly, remaining seated for now. Among the group of Hyrulean soldiers (half of them on horseback and the other half on foot) were Impa, Princess Zelda, Lana, and Link. A few normal-sized civilians near the giant Linkle immediately got on their knees and bowed, which confused the giantess at first.
"Huh? Why are you guys bowing?" Linkle asked.
"Don't you know who that is, Linkle?" one man said.
"Yeah! That's Princess Zelda!" another man said. Linkle gasped.
"Princess Zelda? THE Princess Zelda!?" Linkle shouted.
"Wow... this girl is big, Impa. I thought she'd only be as big as Biggoron." Zelda said.
"Clearly you underestimated her size, but anyway. Princess Zelda, may I introduce you to Linkle, the young woman who has been assisting us in battle while you, Link, and the others were away in battle.
"Princess Zelda... it's such an honor to meet you..." Linkle said. She reached out to possibly touch the princess, but a group of soldiers immediately pointed their spears at the giantess's hand.
"WHOA! Okay, okay, take it easy, guys!" Linkle said.
"Forgive my troops, Linkle, but it is our sworn duty to protect the princess at all times." Impa said. Linkle nodded.
"Sure, I understand." Linkle said.

The giantess then looked down at Link next and noted the clothes he was wearing.
"Huh? Those clothes... wait, why are you wearing the clothes of the legendary hero!?" Linkle shouted. Link was about to speak, but his guardian fairy, Proxi, did so herself.
"That's because he is Link, descendant of the legendary hero!" Proxi said.
"No way! I'm the legendary hero! It's not just the clothes! Look here! This compass is MAGIC, given to me by my grandmother! She said that whoever wears this compass and this outfit is destined to be the legendary hero!" Linkle said. Proxi flew in front of Linkle's eyes, which didn't scare her in the slightest. Although every human looked almost like a giant thanks to her size, Linkle probably looked like a goddess who could shape the land with a simple breath.
"Ha! A true legendary hero doesn't need magnificent size! To me, the legendary hero needs to be the one who can wield the Master Sword, the only blade strong enough to destroy evil!" Proxi said.
"Oooooh! You're just jealous because I haven't been around to LISTEN to you!" Linkle said.
"What did you say!?" Proxi shouted as she waved her arms in frustration at the giantess's blue eyes.
"Alright, alright! Stop arguing! It does not matter who is the legendary hero right now. What's most important is that Hyrule is eternally grateful for your help, Linkle. Thank you." Zelda said as she did a curtsy.
"Oh, um... you're welcome, Princess Zelda." Linkle said.

As Proxi flew back besides Link's head, she then watched as Zelda started walking towards the giantess, only to be stopped when Impa stepped in front of her.
"Princess Zelda, may I ask what you are doing?" Impa asked.
"I wish to take a closer look at our giant friend." Zelda said.
"Are you sure? It could be dangerous..." Impa said. Zelda gave a funny look over at Impa.
"For Din's sake, Impa, look at her. She looks like the kind of girl who wouldn't harm a soft soil bug. And besides... if she were evil, she would've crushed us all by now." Zelda said.
"A valid point, your highness." Impa said as she stepped aside. Zelda then approached the giantess, who sat captivated as she watched the princess approach.
"Linkle, can you please lower your hand?" Zelda asked.
"Oh... um... yes! As you wish, Princess Zelda!" Linkle said. She lowered one of her brown-gloved hands and watched as Zelda hopped onto it. Linkle slowly raised her hand up to her face.
"Wow... I can't believe I'm actually holding the princess of all of Hyrule in my hand." Linkle said.
"Yes, I imagine it must be an incredible feeling. I have yet to experience this sensation myself." Zelda said.
"Oh?" Linkle said, with Zelda nodding.
"One of my ancestors once had an incident where she grew big, supposedly thanks to the same exact magic that made you grow." Zelda said.
"The Giant's Mask?" Linkle asked.
"Correct. I see nobody in the village is afraid of you." Zelda said. Linkle looked over her shoulder and could see many curious villagers looking up at her.
"Teehee... well, I'm sure I scared a few off. But they weren't brave or strong like me or those villagers are." Linkle said.
"Do you consider yourself brave and strong?" Zelda said.
"Yes, absolutely! The legendary hero has to be brave, courageous, smart... you know, everything! That's what my grandmother told me." Linkle said as she rested one of her hands over her magic compass. Zelda smiled while Proxi just rolled her eyes as she continued to hover around Link.
"She'd be very proud, I would imagine." Zelda said. She then reached out and grabbed one of the pigtails in Linkle's hair.
"Princess?" Linkle said.
"Your hair is lovely. Did you brush it thoroughly this morning?" Zelda asked.
"Oh! What an interesting thing for a princess to say!" Linkle said. Zelda smiled.
"When you've been taught to fight... You tend to better appreciate the more subtle things in life." Zelda said with a smile.
"I see!" Linkle said with a smile.

Down on the ground, everyone watched as Zelda and the giant Linkle continued to interact with each other. Then, everyone looked over at Impa as she audibly gasped.
"Princess Zelda!!" Impa shouted as she ran in front of her troopers. Zelda quickly turned around and looked down at Impa. She knew something was wrong when Impa had a sense of urgency in her voice.
"Impa, what is it?" Zelda asked.
"Kakariko Village... I sense it is under attack!" Impa said. Zelda gasped as well.
"Oh my! Kakariko Village, your home!?" Zelda said.
"Oh no, this is terrible! That's an important fallback location for Hyrule Castle! We must not let it fall into enemy hands!" Proxi shouted.
"Oooooh... I sense this is the work of Cia! That's cold hearted even for her!" Lana said as she tightly clutched her magic book.
"Then we must not waste another second! Let us embark for Kakariko Village immediately!" Zelda said.
"Agreed! Alright, troops! Let's go!" Impa said. Everyone started to march out of Linkle's village to make their way to Kakariko Village, but then...
"Hey, wait!" Linkle shouted as she stood back up to her full height, still holding onto Zelda.
"Ummm... do any of you need a lift?" Linkle said as she gently placed Zelda atop one of her shoulders. Heroes like Link, Impa, and Lana all looked at each other.
"Well, it's kind of a long way between here and Kakariko Village..." Impa said.
"I've always wanted to ride a titaness, actually!" Lana said. Linkle smiled as she reached down and gently picked up Link, Impa, and Lana... placing them all on her shoulders where Zelda was already standing.
"Are you sure you want to come along, Linkle? This could be a dangerous fight." Zelda said.
"Heck yeah, Princess Zelda! You're going to need as big a help as you can get!" Linkle said as she pulled her hood back over her head. Impa then looked down at all the troops, both on horseback and on foot.
"Alright, men! Lead the way!" Impa shouted.
"Yes, Commander Impa!" most of the troops shouted. They all charged out of the village with the giant Linkle and her passengers right behind them.
"Teehee... they all look so cute from up here. It's like watching an army of ants!" Linkle said to herself as she slowly followed them and made sure not to step on them.

People ran around screaming and buildings burned left and right as an army of monsters attacked every square inch of Kakariko Village. Standing near the middle of the village were Volga and Wizzro.
"Hahaha! Look at them all running like fleas on a dog!" Wizzro said.
"Stay focused, Wizzro. Remember, we're only to hold out until Cia arrives." Volga said.
"I know, I know. Come on, Volga, loosen up! Live a little! Relish in all this destruction we're seeing!" Wizzro said. Volga just rolled his eyes, but then looked out in the distance when he heard rumbling sounds. That's when he saw the giant Linkle approaching, and in front of her boots were a platoon of Hyrulean troops.
"Ahhhh... here she comes, along with Impa's army." Volga said.
"Heh heh... you gotta admit she looks way bigger in person versus one of Cia's illusions!" Wizzro said.

Only a couple minutes later, the troops arrived on the outskirts of the burning Kakariko Village, where they were greeted by Volga, Wizzro, and a handful of monsters. Obviously, they looked unfazed even as Linkle towered over them. The giantess, meanwhile, allowed Link, Zelda, Impa, and Lana to jump on her hand and she lowered it down to the ground.
"Volga! You've gone too far this time!" Impa shouted.
"Not far enough, my dear Impa. As I told your precious princess... we will not stop attacking until our beloved Cia gets what she desires!" Volga said.
"Cia's a coward, depending on others to do her work! That's why I need to save her. Help her see the light again..." Lana said.
"Hahahaha! I say we stop talking and start fighting!" Wizzro said.
"So it shall be." Zelda said as she pulled out her sword of choice, a rapier.
"Attack!" Impa shouted as the troops went running towards the group of monsters, with Volga engaging Link and Impa and Lana tag teaming on Wizzro. As for Linkle, she stood idly, knowing that she couldn't just blindly stomp the ground without putting her friends at risk. But Impa didn't forget about her as she looked up.

"Linkle! Protect the village! Stomp out the monsters that lurk within!" Impa shouted. The giantess saluted as she put a hand against her forehead.
"Aye aye, Commander Impa!" Linkle said as she stepped around and over the battles taking place outside the village. But before she could enter, however, Lana offered to help the giantess out.
"Linkle! Wait, let this spell help you and the village." Lana said. She opened up her book and quickly read out a chant. Once she was done, she waved a hand at both of Linkle's crossbows that were armed to her boots. Linkle watched her crossbows glow a bright blue briefly.
"Huh? What just happened?" Linkle asked.
"I've enhanced the arrows on your crossbow with the element of water. It should help you put out the fires in the village! But it won't last long so make your shots count!" Lana said.
"Wow! Thank you! Say... you wouldn't happen to have a growth spell, would you? You could grow and be my partner!" Linkle said.
"Haha! I wish I could, but I have no such spell in my inventory." Lana said.
"Awwww... too bad." Linkle said. She then turned around and set her sights on Kakariko Village itself.

Linkle easily towered over the village. In fact, the tallest structure in the village, a lookout tower, was only roughly half as tall as the giantess. But Linkle knew she had no time to admire her size compared to the village, especially as it burned down by her boots. The burning got intense at times as she lightly coughed and swept away the thick black smoke that rose up from the ground to the air.
"(cough cough!) Wow... this is an intense blaze. No wonder Lana gave me that spell!" Linkle said. She then pulled the crossbows off her boots and aimed them down next to some blazing buildings.
"Well, let's hope these work!" Linkle said as she shot a couple arrows down. Each time an arrow hit the ground, it shot a geyser's worth of water into the air, raining down on the fires and slowly extinguishing them.
"Yes! That's cool! In more ways than one." Linkle said as she shot more and more arrows, spreading her arms out in different ways much like she would do on the battlefield when she was normal-sized facing a horde of monsters. A couple minutes later, only a few small blazes remained, but before she could take care of those, she felt something striking against her ankles. She looked down to see a group of monsters clubbing away at her boots.
"Hahaha! I admire your bravery, little monsters, but there's just one problem. These boots were made for stomping!" Linkle said. Without hesitation, she raised one of her boots up and slammed it down on the ground, crushing 40-50 monsters flat into the ground before they faded into black dust.
"Oooooh! That felt so good! I wanna crush more!" Linkle said. That's when the giantess walked to another part of the village and found another group of monsters that were trying to raid a house. The monsters looked back in horror at the girl who towered high above them and they tried to run away.
"Oh no you don't! You go squish now!" Linkle said as she again raised her boot and slammed it down, crushing many of the monsters (most of them skeletons) flat. There was one stalchild that managed to remain, thanks to being slightly bigger than a normal stalchild, but this was no problem for Linkle... she simply pulled her foot back and then thrust it forward, kicking its bones several yards out of the village and into the open field.
"Teehee... I think I invented a new sport!" Linkle commented.

The giantess then kneeled down and peeked inside one of the open windows of the house, seeing a husband, wife, and male child all trembling in fear.
"Have no fear, my little friends. You are all safe now." Linkle said. She then felt something poke her in her behind.
"Ow! What the!?" Linkle said. She looked back and saw a group of Moblins all shooting arrows up at her behind. After easily sweeping the arrows off her clothing, she stood back to her full height and turned around.
"Oooooh... you monsters have some nerve... shooting a beautiful girl like me in the butt!" Linkle said. She then smiled.
"But you know what? I'm in a good mood... so I'll show you my arrows." Linkle said as she took the crossbows off her boots. The Moblins all started backing away as Linkle aimed her crossbows down at them.
"I must warn you... they're really big so they might REALLY hurt!" Linkle said as she fired away. A few of the Moblins got pierced by the arrows and disappeared, while the others escaped into the battlefield where they met their end by the Hyrulean army. Linkle twirled her crossbows around and smiled as she attached them back to her boots. With Kakariko Village all clear of both the flames and monsters, Linkle stepped out of the village and towered over the battlefield once again.

Meanwhile, the battle continued between the heroes and the villains' armies. At least... until a crackle of thunder and lightning appeared in the sky.
"Ahhh... here comes Cia." Volga said.
"Hahaha! She must be ready with her magic!" Wizzro said. Indeed, after the storm subsided, a red portal opened up, and stepping outside the portal was Cia. Interestingly enough, she was without her mask, allowing her red eyes and part of her white hair to be shown.
"Cia!" Lana shouted.
"Greetings, heroes of Hyrule." Cia said with a smile as she tightly held her scepter.
"So... you are the one responsible for these senseless attacks?" Impa asked.
"That is correct. You heroes have spoiled my plans for long enough. It is time I removed you from existence itself! And it will all be thanks to this giant girl." Cia said as she turned around and looked up at Linkle.
"Huh? Who is this?" Linkle asked.
"Pleased to meet you, young lady. I am Cia, and I wish to have the power that made you grow." Cia said.
"What!? No way! I can tell just by looking at you that you want to use this giant size for evil! I won't let that happen!" Linkle said.
"Oh dear... whatever shall I do? You could very easily step on me with your magnificent size." Cia said in an obvious fake tone of desperation. Linkle, on the other hand, smirked as she walked up towards Cia.
"Heh, you hit the nail on the head. Even if you dodge this step, I'll just keep trying until I crush you beneath my boot!" Linkle said.
"Linkle, wait! She's got something planned!" Lana said, trying to convince the giantess not to take any action. But Linkle raised her foot up without hesitation. Cia herself didn't move... in fact, she smiled as the boot came closer and closer. She waited until the right moment, which was when the bottom of the boot was about 8 inches away from the top of her head. And then she raised her scepter up.

Linkle suddenly couldn't move her boot any further down. It felt like she was getting pushed back like two sides of a magnet repelling against each other.
"What? What's going on?" Linkle asked as she looked down and saw her boot was not completely on the ground.
"Are you finished? Because I want to show off my power too." Cia said. She then focused on her scepter and it glowed brightly. Suddenly, the giant Linkle found herself falling backwards.
"Whooooooooaaaaaa!!!" Linkle said as she went BOOM!... landing on her back with her right arm coming close to crushing a couple of the Kakariko Village houses.
"Linkle!" Zelda shouted as she, Impa, and some troops tried to run to her aid, but Volga and Wizzro stood in their way.
"Ah ah ah... no cutting in line!" Wizzro said.
"You will wait until our mistress is done." Volga said. Meanwhile, Cia floated her way on top of Linkle, landing just above her magic compass.
"Well now, if I can do that to a giant person... imagine if the roles were reversed." Cia said. She pounded her scepter on the ground, which was Linkle's clothing. It glowed brightly, and Cia started muttering a magic chant. At the same time, black smoke surrounded the giant Linkle from head to toe, and she started writhing around.
"No! Stop! What are you... AHHHH!!!" Linkle shouted as she felt her body go through various phases of pain.

And then, Linkle started shrinking. Cia leapt off Linkle's body and landed back on the ground. Smaller and smaller Linkle got until she was back to her normal size. At the same time, the black smoke left Linkle and made its way over to Cia, who smiled evilly as the smoke swirled around her.
"Yes... so this is the power of the Giant's Mask." Cia said. She then turned and faced the Hyrulean troops, including our heroes Link, Zelda, Lana, and Impa.
"Now, my soon to be teeny tiny friends... watch as I groooooooooow!!!" Cia shouted as she raised her arms (and scepter) in the air. Everyone watched as Cia grew bigger and bigger. Morale already dropped like a boulder down Death Mountain amongst the Hyrulean troops as they watched the villainess increase in size.
"Aaaaaahhhhh..." Cia exhaled as the smoke finally dissipated and her growth spurt ended. She was now the one standing tall at 150 feet tall instead of Linkle, who got up and ran back to the group of heroes given how close she was to one of Cia's boots.
"Bwahahaha! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Look at all the insignificant insects in front of my feet!" Cia said.
"Yes! Look how big and powerful our magnificent Cia has become!" Wizzro shouted.
"Yes, but now we and the army must retreat back to our lair for the time being." Volga said.
"Huh, why!?" Wizzro asked.
"Isn't it obvious, stupid!? She has the strength and power of a thousand monsters now!" Volga said as he teleported out of Hyrule Field.
"Hmmm... yes, thank you for the reminder." Wizzro said as he, as well as the monsters the Hyrulean army had been fighting, disappeared as well. Their departures went unnoticed by our heroes because they were so busy looking all the way up at the now gigantic Cia.

Lana put on a determined face and stepped in front of the group.
"You don't scare us, Cia! We've fought monsters as big as you and defeated them!" Lana said.
"Yes, you did, Lana. But they can't compare to the power that I wield!" Cia said.
The giant villainess turned and looked down at Kakariko Village. She then charged up her scepter and fired a pink energy beam down on the village. The beam cut through houses and the village grounds like a knife through butter. The troops backed away as flaming debris rained down in front of them. There were also faint screams from innocent civilians who were unable to escape the energy beam.
When all was said and done, Kakariko Village barely resembled its former self as its remains once again burned in intense flames.
"Mmmmmm... so much destruction. And that's only the beginning!" Cia said. She then looked back down at our heroes.
"It'd be easy to crush you all beneath my boots right now, but I'll let you all live longer so you can see the total destruction of Hyrule in person. I hope you'll enjoy the show... starting at Hyrule Castle! HAHAHAHA!!" Cia said as she stepped away from Kakariko Village and the Hyrulean troops.

Our heroes watched the evil giantess walk into the distance.
"Oh no! We can't let her destroy Hyrule Castle! That will spell certain doom for all of Hyrule!" Proxi shouted. Impa then walked over to a sullen Linkle.
"Linkle, are you alright?" Impa said.
"Yeah, I guess. I can't believe she stole the power from me." Linkle said.
"Hmph! Some legendary hero you turned out to be! You could've stopped her when you had the chance!" Proxi shouted.
"Proxi, no need to be hard on Linkle. No matter what power we hold, evil always finds a way to fight back." Zelda said.
"Especially Cia. She has all sorts of tricks up her sleeve. I should know!" Cia said, having already told the story to people like Link and Zelda on how Cia and Lana were once the same person. Linkle then suddenly perked up and she looked out in the distance at Cia and had a determined look on her face.
"Thanks, everyone." Linkle said. She then reached into her outfit and pulled out the useless and powerless Giant's Mask. She stared at it for a few seconds and then threw it aside to the ground.
"I won't let her huge size intimidate me, either! Whether I take that power back or not, I won't allow her to destroy Hyrule Castle. I won't let her use that power for a second longer!" Linkle said as she walked past the troops. Impa knew exactly what Linkle had in mind.
"Linkle, wait! Don't do anything reckless." Impa said.
"Sorry, Commander Impa, but this is one order I must disobey. This fight has to be between the two of us. Pegasus Dash!" Linkle said as she gave her outfit a firm tug and brushed off some of the grass. Then she activated the full power of her Pegasus Boots and went dashing away from Kakariko Village and followed the massive footprints being left behind by the giant Cia.
"Linkle!!!" Impa shouted as she held an arm out in vain. Princess Zelda then walked in front of her and everyone else.
"Come on, everyone! We can't let her do this alone. If we work together, we can defeat Cia!" Zelda shouted.
"Yeah! I'm in!" Lana shouted. Link nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, me too!" one of the troops shouted.
"Me too!" another troop shouted. Suddenly every troop was thrusting their weapon up in the air, cheering mightily.
"Alright, let's go!" Zelda said as she and everyone else marched away.
"Hoo boy... we've got a lot of catching up to do! Linkle runs fast with those boots and Cia has a very long stride with her size!" Proxi said, but nobody seemed to be paying attention to that concern (not even Link).

Meanwhile, in Hyrule Town just outside of Hyrule Castle, the people looked over the castle walls wondering what the stomping sounds were for. It didn't make them feel comfortable when they got louder and louder, and it really scared them when they looked over the walls.
"Eeeeek! Giantess!" one woman shouted before she took off running. It didn't take long for every other citizen to follow suit, and that only made the giant Cia smile.
"Hahahaha! That's right, you little fleas! Run if you value your pathetic lives!" Cia said. She then set her scepter down just outside the town walls. As her dress and cape flowed with the wind, Cia stepped over the walls and pounded her first house to the ground, which only set off further panic in the town. Cia smiled as she stomped around the town slowly, making sure to crush someone or something with each step she took. But she didn't always rely on her feet. She opened up her hand and fired a ball of dark energy, which exploded and caused mass destruction as soon as it slammed the ground.

Cia then looked down at a group of people who trapped themselves in an alley. The giantess smiled as she got down on her knees.
"Heeheehee! Looks like you peeps took a wrong turn!" Cia said as she reached into the alley towards the people. Some of them tried to fight back by throwing the nearby wooden crates and barrels at her black fingernails. When one of the crates broke apart, Cia quickly pulled her hand back and checked to make sure her nail polish wasn't damaged. It wasn't, but she still didn't look happy.
"Hmph. I worked all morning on these nails. I'm going to make sure you pay dearly for messing with them." Cia said as she reached in again and this time trapped all the men and women in the palm of her hand. She stood back up and looked down at the tiny people, some of whom were paralyzed with fear just by looking into the giantess's red eyes.
"You all shall now be my lunch. Consider yourselves lucky that you'll be melted by my stomach acids instead of being crushed into bloody stains!" Cia said. Despite screams from every last soul in her hand, Cia tilted it back and dropped every last person down her throat.
"Ahhhhh..." Cia said as she rubbed her belly. When she moved her hand up and touched the bottom of her chest, that's when she got another wicked idea and stepped back into the middle of the town. Then she took sight of a small tent down by her boots and got down on her knees, watching as one lonely male came out from the backside of the shop.
"Hello, shopkeeper. I'd like to sell these things. How much will you give me?" Cia said as she weaved her upper body back and forth, causing her covered breasts to shift back and forth horizontally.
"Ummmmmm...." the shopkeeper said, both scared of Cia's massive size but also mesmerized by the enormity of her chest. Cia then smiled.
"Your life? Okay, I accept!" Cia said as she suddenly lowered her chest towards the tent. The shopkeeper screamed as he tried to escape through the front opening, but he ended up getting crushed along with the tent itself underneath Cia's breasts. The damage was amplified as Cia playfully dragged her chest left and right before finally getting back to her feet.

After rubbing the dust and debris off her chest, Cia wondered what she could destroy next. However, before she could wonder any more, she felt something poke at one of her legs. She looked down first to see it was a series of arrows that she easily scraped off her skin. Then she looked at the town entrance to see where the arrows came from and smiled.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't little ol' Linkle." Cia said. Linkle stood a few yards away from Cia's boots, having shot a flurry of arrows at the back of Cia's leg.
"Cia! I won't let you destroy any more of Hyrule Castle or the town! My pride as a legendary hero is at stake!" Linkle shouted. Cia of course just laughed, trying to decide on a scale of 1-10 how idiotic Linkle was for challenging her.
"HAHAHAHA! Do you seriously have any idea what you are up against, child? You are certainly no legendary hero!" Cia said.
"I wear the clothes! I possess the magic compass! I AM the descendant of the legendary hero, and I'll prove it by taking you down!" Linkle said.
"Hmph. Very well, I welcome your challenge. The mere shadow of my colossal form should've at least scared you, but you'll provide worthy entertainment!" Cia said as she took a couple steps and towered over Linkle. Linkle briefly gulped seeing how huge Cia looked from where she was standing. It made her think back to when she was the giant one and how she must've looked from her fellow villagers' perspective. Linkle quickly got back on focus as she dashed out of the way of Cia's stomp.

She then ran outside the walls of the Hyrule Castle town, leading the giantess back into Hyrule Field. Cia picked up her scepter and then got back to trying to stomp Linkle flat into the grass, but once again Linkle dodged the steps thanks to the Pegasus Boots giving her lightning fast reflexes. This quickly annoyed the giant Cia.
"Errrr... stay still, rodent!" Cia shouted as she next fired up her scepter and shot a series of dark energy balls down at Linkle, which certainly were huge at Cia's size. Linkle had to abruptly stop running at times to dodge the energy balls, and had to cover her face to keep from getting hit with flying debris, but she got back to running and was able to dodge the energy balls without a scratch. Again, Cia got annoyed and she grasped onto her scepter and slammed it down on the ground. Linkle, after an athletic dodge, jumped on top of the scepter and ran on it even as Cia lifted it back into the air.
Cia started shaking the scepter up and down, forcing Linkle to stop running and hold on tight.
"Whoa whoa whoa!!!" Linkle shouted as she held on for dear life. She finally couldn't hold on any longer and she lost her grip. Fortunately, she was not hurt too much as she rolled forward upon landing on the ground.

Linkle was breathing heavily after barely surviving that brush with death, and Cia knew it too.
"You can't last forever, young lady! I haven't even begun to break a sweat yet!" Cia said. Once again she raised her scepter up to try and slam it down on Linkle, but once again felt something strike her, this time in the back of one of her legs.
"Ow! What the!?" Cia said as she looked down. This time it was Princess Zelda and also Impa. Zelda was holding her bow and some arrows while Impa had a handful of Sheikah Needles (which were hard to see by the naked eye).
"Commander Impa!? Princess Zelda!?" Linkle shouted, as she was obviously surprised to see them.
"You do not fight alone, Linkle!" Zelda said.
"Together we can bring down the evil titaness!" Impa said.
"And don't forget us!" a high-pitched female shouted. Linkle turned around and saw Link (with Proxi flying around him) and Lana arriving as well, and behind them were some Hyrulean troops who were already lobbing projectiles such as arrows and spears up at the giantess. Linkle smiled.
"Thank you... everyone!" Linkle said.
"Linkle, listen! I think I know the right spell to remove the magic from within Cia that made you and her grow. I'm going to need time to power up the spell, though!" Lana said.
"We'll keep Cia occupied while you do that, Lana! You can count on all of us!" Proxi said.

Cia made a firm stomp on the ground to get everyone's attention again.
"How very cute. Now I can crush ALL of you at once, and Hyrule will have no good future!" Cia said as she raised her boot over Zelda and Impa. Zelda briefly gasped not believing she was going to be able to run past a foot that size, but Impa as always was cool under pressure. She stood strong and threw more needles up at Cia's leg. Before Cia could lower that same leg, the needles exploded, causing pain to run through that leg.
"Ow!" Cia said as she collapsed down on one knee and held the leg that got attacked. This gave Linkle the chance she needed as she jumped onto Cia's other leg. She dashed across the lower half of the leg and then climbed the upper half. With one hand to hold onto the skin, she filled her other hand with her crossbow and fired a rapid series of arrows along the giantess's back. At first the arrows didn't appear to do any damage, but once enough of them were shot, that's when Cia could feel them.
"Ack!!" Cia said as she scratched her back. Linkle jumped off Cia's leg and ran away to keep from getting crushed by it as Cia rose back to her feet.
"You incessant pests!!!" Cia shouted as her frustration continued to build the more she came under attack. Still, she was able to raise her scepter up, proceeding to slam it down once more. Lana had to interrupt her spell to make a barrier that would allow her to escape from the scepter slam.
"Quick, bounce off the barrier!" Lana shouted to Link as she made the magic glowing wall. Lana leapt off one side of the barrier while Link jumped off the other side, right before Cia crushed the barrier flat under her scepter and shattered it into many pieces.

Once again, Linkle attacked. She jumped onto the scepter and this time was able to dash fast enough to make it to Cia's arm.
"Why you!" Cia shouted as she tried swatting Linkle off her arm with her other hand. Cia made the mistake, however, of spreading her fingers too far apart, and Linkle was able to survive as she came to a stop between two of the fingers. Linkle hurdled over the other fingers and made it to the upper part of the giantess's arm that she had to climb. After climbing a few steps while Cia stared in bewilderment, Linkle fired another series of arrows with her crossbows. This time they all struck the giantess in the chest and stomach regions.
"Urrrrrgh!!" Cia said as she clutched those regions with both her hands. Linkle, meanwhile, held on tight as she now found herself in front of Cia's massive breasts.
"Geez... good thing I don't have a massive chest like hers!" Linkle said to herself as she was now holding onto Cia's necklace. Of course, she couldn't stay there, especially as Cia tried to swat Linkle off with a swing from one of her hands. Linkle made a leap upward thanks to her Pegasus Boots, and it almost gave her goosebumps when she saw where she landed... right on Cia's nose.
But most importantly were the targets to her left and right, which were the giantess's massive eyes. However, Linkle gasped when she realized something important was missing.
"*gasp* Oh no! I'm out of arrows!" Linkle said when she saw both her crossbows were out of ammo, and her quiver didn't have any more spare arrows. Cia started laughing.
"Hahaha... HAHAHA! It seems your string of luck has run out, little girl. Now to crush you like the puny insect you are..." Cia said.

"Linkle, JUMP!!!" Zelda shouted from the ground. Linkle looked where Zelda's voice came from, and then she suddenly saw a golden beam of light coming right up for her and Cia's face. Linkle made a bold leap backwards and fell down towards the ground. Cia, meanwhile, got hit in the head with the light and immediately covered her eyes.
"ARRRRRGH!!! What intense light!!! I can't see!!" Cia screamed as she wobbled around, blinking her eyes rapidly trying to get her vision back.
"AHHHH!!!" Linkle screamed as she watched the ground get closer and closer. She had a bad feeling this was not going to end well... but all of a sudden, her rate of descent rapidly slowed. At the same time, sparkles of blue light swirled around her back side. What Linkle didn't know yet was that Proxi was using her magic to slow down Linkle's fall. Linkle finally landed safely on her feet between Link and Proxi.
"Whew... wow! For a... for a young girl you sure do weigh a ton!" Proxi said.
"Huh? It was you who saved me?" Linkle asked.
"Heh... nothing a little fairy magic can't handle! Besides, Link probably wouldn't forgive me if anyone bearing the outfit of the legendary hero met their premature end." Proxi said. Link nodded with a smile.
"Thank you, Proxi." Linkle said. She actually leaned in to try and give the fairy a kiss of gratitude, but Proxi floated away.
"Whoa whoa whoa... I'm... uh... saving my first kiss for someone... um... special." Proxi said.
"Haha... I see." Linkle said. It didn't take her long to figure out who Proxi secretly had feelings for.

Soon, Zelda and Impa caught up to the other heroes, and they all looked up as Cia continued to try and recover her vision.
"Are you okay, Linkle?" Impa said.
"Yes, Commander Impa. I'm fine thanks to Proxi and her magic. But what was that bright light?" Linkle asked.
"My light arrows. I save them for powerful enemies such as the giant Cia." Zelda said.
"Clearly the situation warranted their use." Impa said. Lana suddenly looked sharply up in the air and then over at the heroes.
"Okay! I'm ready with the spell, but we'll still need to hold Cia down somehow!" Lana said. Link then reached into his outfit and pulled out one of his familiar items... the hookshot.
"There you go, Link! He's always got the right hardware!" Proxi said.
"Better make it fast... it appears Cia has snapped out of it." Impa said as she and the others, including many of the Hyrulean troops, looked up and saw Cia was no longer holding her eyes or blinking them as much. She now looked quite furious as she looked down at our heroes.
"Alright... no more just plain evil giantess. I'm going to stomp you all so hard you won't make it to the afterlife!!!" Cia said. As she was talking, however, Link fired the hookshot and guided it in a few loops around Cia's ankles.

Link tugged on the hookshot with all his might, and everyone knew that was their cue to help out. Lana stayed behind so she could keep the spell she was about to cast at full power.
"Alright, everyone! Pull!" Proxi shouted as Link, Linkle, Zelda, Impa, and Hyrulean soldiers one by one all grabbed the hookshot and pulled like they were in the greatest Tug O' War of their lives. Cia at first didn't budge, but at the same time, she couldn't rip the hookshot off because it was covered in spikes (probably thanks to it being powered up). Still, for good measure, Linkle pulled out her own hookshot. She fired it towards Cia's knees and was successfully able to get it around a couple times.
"Here, everyone! Grab this one too!" Linkle said. Eventually, Cia started to lose her balance. After one more mighty tug on the hookshots, Cia's feet gave out from underneath her and she went falling backwards.
"Ahhhhh!!!" Cia screamed as she collapsed on her back, flattening part of the wall around Hyrule Castle Town on the way down.
"Now, Lana!!!" Zelda shouted as she and the others let go of the hookshots.
"Giant's Mask magic begone!!" Lana shouted as she fired an intense beam of blue energy from her book towards the giant Cia. It covered her body from head to toe, and just as Cia sat up, she watched as the world around her was getting bigger.
"No! I'm shrinking! Nooooooooooo!!!" Cia shouted. Suddenly her face was that of despair rather than all powerful evil being.

About a minute passed, and the blue energy faded away from Cia's body after she was returned to her normal size. The blue energy had a black glow to it as it rose in the air, presumably this was the magic from the Giant's Mask, but nobody could wonder about it anymore as it went POOF and disappeared into the blue sky.
Cia, meanwhile, got back on her feet and watched the heroes approach her.
"You've lost, Cia! Your giant reign of terror is over." Lana said.
"Arrrrgh! You'll all pay for this!" Cia said as she angrily clutched her scepter.
Just then, a red portal opened up behind her, with Volga and Wizzro stepping out.
"Cia! It's time to retreat!" Volga said.
"Yes! I sense your magic levels are about to be depleted!" Wizzro said. Cia took a look at her scepter... Wizzro was right. The dark light at the top of the scepter was very faint, meaning she was about to run out of magic power, which meant imminent defeat if she didn't return to her hideout. She glared menacingly at the heroes.
"I will return, princess of Hyrule. And Lana... only I will decide when this war is over!!!" Cia said as she sharply turned around and walked into the portal, as did Volga and Wizzro. The portal then vanished.

Our heroes breathed a sigh of relief while the Hyrulean soldiers wasted no time in cheering for victory and raising their weapons to the sky.
"And so another battle is won." Impa said.
"Yes, and we did it together, Impa. Although... the people that didn't survive, both here and in Kakariko..." Zelda said as she showed a sad face. Impa quickly patted the princess on the shoulder.
"Casualties of war, your royal highness. There will very likely be more in the days to come as we continue our fight against Cia and the others." Impa said. She then walked over towards Linkle and patted her on the shoulder next.
"To say I am impressed with your battle technique against the giant Cia would be an understatement. You should be very proud of what you accomplished, Linkle. Your performance was nothing short of legendary." Impa said.
"Hahaha! Thank you, Commander Impa. I just did what any legen... I mean... what any hero would do." Linkle said.
"Awwww, come on, Linkle! Don't be modest! I have enough of that from Link. He barely says anything, after all! Ow!" Proxi said, only to get a friendly nudge from Link.
"For now, let us tend to the wounded here on the Hyrule Castle grounds, and then we can celebrate our victory." Impa said.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea, Impa!" Zelda said. As she and the other heroes all headed for town to check on everything, Linkle took a deep breath.
"Say... um... Lana. I take it that Giant's Mask magic is gone?" Linkle asked.
"Yes. It's been fully eradicated from this world. It will never be of use to anyone or anything ever again." Lana said.
"I see. It's kinda too bad. I really liked being big and tall! But then again... after seeing what Cia did... perhaps it is for the best." Linkle said. Lana smiled as she patted Linkle on the back.
"Magic is always evolving, Linkle. I doubt that mask will be the only means someone can have of changing their size." Lana said.

That comment raised Linkle's eyebrows. It gave her hope that maybe one day she can grow that big again. It brought a big smile to her face as she thought of the possibility of someday being remembered as the biggest legendary hero of all time.
