(Pokemon Dimension)
After a busy journey through the Battle Frontier, Ash has decided to take a break and visit Misty in Cerulean City, today. The only Pokemon he had with him was Pikachu, because he wanted to start fresh in his new journey.
Ash: Before heading off to Sinnoh, I think that we should visit Misty and see how things are with her. What do you say, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pika-Pika.
Ash: Good. After all, it wouldn’t seem fair if I didn’t say hello to her, before we left. I’m sure that you can’t wait to see her again.
Pikachu: PIKA!
Soon enough, Ash arrives at the Cerulean Gym. Misty and her sisters are there to greet him.
Misty: ASH!
Ash: Hey there, Misty.
Pikachu: Pikachu-Pi!
Misty: Nice to see you too, Pikachu!
Lily: Misty, what’s going on?
Ash: Hey, ladies.
Violet: Oh, it’s you, kid.
Ash: Hi, Violet.
Daisy: Nice to see you, Ash.
Ash: Hey there, Daisy. I’ve heard that you’ve been a huge help with the gym as well.
Lily: Oh, please. Don’t give her all the credit. We’ve been helping out, too.
Ash: Nice to see all of you.
Misty: How are things?
Ash: Things have been great. I ended up becoming the Battle Frontier Champion. Then, I entered a contest, just for fun. It wasn’t like a real contest, so that’s why I entered it. I ended up battling May, and the match ended up in a tie.
Misty: That’s great!
Daisy: Sounds like you’ve had your hands full.
Ash: Especially with Team Rocket constantly on my back.
Misty: Where are Brock and the others?
Ash: Oh, Brock went back home and May and Max are beginning their journey through the Johto region. As for me, I came here for a little R & R and to see how things are with you four. After a while, I’m heading for Sinnoh.
Violet: How sweet.
Lily: You, like, cared for all of us.
Daisy: Well then, make yourself at home.
Ash: Sure thing, but right now, I’m going to the Pokemon Center. I was in such a rush, I forgot to have my Pikachu checked.
The scene moves to the Pokemon Center. Ash has delivered his Pikachu to Nurse Joy. After a while, Nurse Joy returns with Pikachu.
Nurse Joy: Your Pikachu seems to be doing just fine.
Ash: Thanks.
Pikachu: Pika-Pika.
Ash: Excuse me, Nurse Joy, where’s your restroom?
Nurse Joy: Down the hall, and to the left.
Ash: Thanks.
Nurse Joy: You're welcome.
Ash heads into the restroom with Pikachu. After doing his business, he notices a portal in the room.
Ash: What’s this?
Ash steps toward the portal and puts his hand inside it. He gets sucked in, and the portal closes.
Pikachu: PIKACHU!!!
Ash is flying through the vastness of time and space. During this journey, he is able to see Sonic and Link flying right past him. During the three seconds or so, that the three are together, they look at each other amazingly like as if they had seen a piece of history. Their time together was short-lived, however, as the three go flying off in different directions. At the same time, they are all blinded by a bright white light as they are transported to their new destinations.......
(Hyrule Dimension)
Ash finally lands on his behind after taking what had to be the wildest ride of his life.
Ash: Whoa! That was one crazy trip.
He slowly gets up on his feet. Ash looks in front of him to see some huge steps.
Ash: I wonder where I am?
He decides to look around, and the place he was in seemed really huge. There was a large bridge and moat behind him, and beyond that, an even bigger moat with insanely huge walls on the other side of it. Ash is completely overwhelmed at what he was seeing. Of course, he didn't realize that he had shrunken down to three inches tall, yet.
Ash: Whoa! This place is huge!
Ash then looks around himself and realizes that there was something very important missing.
Ash: Wait a minute! Where's Pikachu?! Pikachu!!!
There was no response. Suddenly, Ash heard voices coming from behind him. He looks to see some really big ladies coming down those big steps. In this dimension, this woman was known as Impa. Two of the female guards of Kakariko Village were standing with her. Ash backed away from the steps and in fact hid behind a nearby rock. Impa stopped walking once she reached the base of the steps and then looked at the two guards that accompanied her.
Impa: I want every last guard in this village to guard those decorations for the ball. We should be lucky they weren't damaged beyond repair, but the princess is not going to tolerate any more setbacks. We've been preparing for this event for far too long.
Guards: Yes, Impa!
The guards walk back up the steps. Ash hears this, and has an idea.
Ash: (To himself) A princess? Maybe she can help me find Pikachu and tell me where I am, if I follow that giant woman back to that really huge castle.
Impa looks down at the bridge.
Impa: What’s this?
It looks like black powder. But just then, the wind picks up and blows it away. Impa shrugs it off and starts to walk back to Hyrule Castle, wanting to conserve her teleporting energy for just in case Ganondorf decided to strike, since he recently escaped from the Sacred Realm. Ash watched as the giantess (from his perspective) moved away from his tiny body.
Ash: (To himself) Man, this would be so much easier if I had my Pokemon with me. Too bad they’re all back at Professor Oak’s lab. Might as well hitch a ride, instead.
Ash sprints and jumps on Impa’s right foot. She didn’t seem to notice him as she made it into the Hyrule Market. Ash looks around and is surprised to see, not just giant people all around him doing their regular business, but how medieval the times seemed to be.
Ash: (To himself) Why do I get this feeling I've traveled back to the past?
Suddenly, Ash finds himself stopping in front of a pair of huge brown boots. Those boots belonged to, who is known in this dimension, as Malon. She was busy chatting with Impa.
Malon: Excuse me, but aren't you one of Zelda's royal guards?
Impa: Yes? Is there something I can do for you?
Malon: Well, can you please deliver these two milk bottles to her majesty? I'm afraid I miscounted my last shipment and there were two bottles missing.
Impa took the two milk bottles from Malon's hands.
Impa: I will. Let's try to be more proficient from now on, young lady. For the princess's sake, at least.
Malon: Yes please forgive me.
She bows down before Impa to show her forgiving nature before she leaves back for Lon Lon Ranch. Ash watches all this unfold from below. Impa starts to walk again. Ash held on for dear life as Impa's foot went up and down on the ground while she walked back to the castle.
A couple moments later, Impa had made it through the castle gates and was on her way to Zelda's room. She lightly knocks on the door.
Zelda: Come in!
Impa opens the door and walks inside where she sees the princess sitting on her bed and brushing her hair. Navi is using all her strength to hold up a mirror that Zelda was using to see herself. Impa stopped a few yards away from the princess. Ash finally fell off her foot and down to the floor, trying to snap out of the dizziness he suffered from the rough ride that he had to take to reach this point. He recovers, the moment he looks all the way up at the princess.
Ash: (To himself) Wow. A real-life princess.
Zelda: Oh, hello, Impa. What are you doing with two milk bottles in your hand?
Impa: The young girl that was delivering our Lon Lon Milk package for the day accidentally left out two bottles, so she passed them off to me.
Zelda: Ah, I was wondering where the other two bottles were. Thanks.
Zelda takes the bottles and gets up to place them on her desk before she sits down by her bed again. Ash backs away to Impa's feet to keep from getting crushed by the princess. Impa reaches over to the mirror and took it from Navi's hands.
Impa: Allow me.
She watches Zelda sitting back down and brushing her hair.
Navi: *exhales* Thank you! Another minute and my wings would've tired out for sure!
Zelda: So, Impa, how are things going for tonight's ball?
Impa: I'm happy to say the damage on the decorations was minimal. The people of Kakariko tell me they'll have repairs completed in time for delivery, which should be about three hours from now.
Zelda: Oh, that's good. Did you see Link by any chance? I had sent him to investigate with you.
Impa: Uh.....well, my princess, I did not see Link at all. Even coming from Kakariko, he never showed up.
Zelda drops her brush upon hearing that.
Zelda: Never showed up?!
Impa: That's correct, my princess.
Zelda: Hmmm....... That doesn't sound right. Maybe I should have one of my guards check on him.
Impa: Princess, please. Link is a strong young man. I am sure that he can take care of himself.
Navi: I'll say! He hardly ever listens to me! It's like I'm not needed anymore!
Zelda: Oh, Navi, don't think that way about Link. That happens when you're grown up like I am. You start to make decisions for yourself. Right ones and.......well......some wrong ones. Anyway, I'm sure that he still cares about you.
Navi: Well, still, it'd be nice if he noticed me, every now and then.
Zelda just smiles. But then she just happened to glance down at Impa's feet, where she noticed something. Ash was resting by Impa's feet, just listening to the conversation and hoping that he wouldn't be spotted. Unfortunately, that's what happened when Ash looked up to see Zelda looking straight into his eyes.
Ash: (To himself) Uh-oh! I think I've been spotted.
Ash tries to keep himself out of sight, but it was no good.
Zelda: Impa, what is that down by your feet?
Impa looks down past the mirror before she laid it on Zelda's bed. She then noticed Ash behind her leg and she swiftly picks him up with the speed of a sword strike from Link.
Ash: Hey! Let me go! I won't cause problems, I promise!
Impa: Hmmm... it appears to be a young boy, and he's as small as a fairy.
Navi: Did you say, “fairy”?!
She looks at Impa's closed fist to see Ash trapped inside it. Her eyes light up just from seeing someone matching her size.
Navi: Well, well, what have we here?
Navi flies around Ash, looking at him from head to toe. While she was doing that, Zelda was standing up and looking down at the tiny Ash. She had her arms folded as she did not appear to be too thrilled with seeing someone so tiny able to make his way not only into the castle, but all the way to Zelda's own room. Ash gulps nervously.
Zelda: You've got a lot of courage to wander around this castle at that size.
Ash: Please forgive me,--uh--your highness! I was only looking for a friend of mine!
Zelda: So what is your name, little boy?
Ash: Uh, it's Ash. Ash Ketchum, your highness. I wish I could bow before you, if only I weren't tied up like this.
Impa: Speak before the princess, properly!
Ash: Sorry.
Zelda: Impa, it's okay. Let the boy move freely. He can't possibly be of any harm to us, at his size.
Impa nodded and opened up her right hand, allowing Ash to move around it. He bowed before the princess so that she wouldn't get mad at him.
Zelda: That's an interesting name you have, Ash. Not to mention, an interesting......wardrobe, if I must say.
She glanced over the clothes Ash was wearing. Naturally, the clothes he had on weren't clothes any normal Hyrulian would wear.
Ash: Well... I'm not from around here, you see. I'm actually looking for a friend of mine. I think that it may have gotten lost during the travel through the portal.
Impa: What do you mean?
Zelda: I'm afraid that story will have to wait, young boy. You see, we are preparing for the annual Hyrule Ball tonight, and I still haven't found a nice dress to wear for tonight. I promise that we'll hear all about this as soon as the party is over. You can stay in here with me where it's safe.
Zelda takes Ash from Impa's hand and holds him in her own pink-gloved right hand.
Ash: Is this party really more important than--
Zelda: (Overlapping “than--”) I apologize, but I’ve been planning this for weeks. I don’t mean to sound rude or insensitive about your situation, but--
Ash: (Overlapping “but--”) I understand. *sighs* I guess I can wait.
Zelda: Oh, thank you!
Zelda smiles puts Ash down on her desk where she had placed the two Lon Lon Milk bottles. She picks up her brush and places it on the desk.
Zelda: You can stay here, Ash, and I’ll be right back. Impa, let’s go check on the final preparations.
Impa: Yes, ma’am.
Both ladies left the bedroom. Soon, Ash was left all alone, or so he thought. He walks around the desk, pacing and thinking about the situation.
Ash: (To himself) Okay, it looks like I’ve traveled through time and space to find this type of atmosphere. Also, have I shrunk, or am I in a land of giants? *sighs* I just hope that Pikachu’s having a better time than I am.
Just then, he bumps into Navi, who flew near him, and he falls back in surprise as he looks at the fairy that was the same size as he was. As the fairy landed on the desk, Ash got a good look at her brightly sparkling body.
Navi: *giggles* Hello there, sweetums.
Ash: (Thinking) Sweetums? (Out loud) Uh, who or what are you supposed to be?
Navi: I'm Navi, a guardian fairy, and you're just the most handsome thing I have ever seen. *giggles*
Navi start to slowly walk towards Ash, who was slowly backing away trying to keep some distance.
Ash: Now-Now-Now wait a minute. Y-Y-You've only just met me!
Navi: Doesn't matter. It's not often I find cute boys at your size. *giggles*
Ash: *gulps* *laughs nervously* Oh, boy.......
Ash keeps on backing up and is extremely nervous, but finally stopped when he nearly lost his balance on the edge of the desk.
Navi: *giggles* Come on. Don’t be shy. Let's talk. You and I could make a great couple.
Ash: *gulps* I-I-I-I-I-I--
Finally, Ash slips and falls over the edge.
Ash: AAAIIIYYYEEE!!!
Luckily, Navi was able to see that coming and she flies at rocket speed past the edge, getting under Ash, and catching him in midair.
Navi: *giggles* You need to be more careful.
Instead of being thankful, Ash unleashes his anger.
Ash: Listen, lady, you don't understand! I'm not from here, and I have to find my friend! I don't have time to be playing games with you!
Navi puts her left finger over his lips and smiles, putting an abrupt end to Ash’s rant. He just stays quiet.
Navi: *giggles* Oh, I’m sure that you don’t, but you’re new around here. Without Zelda and myself, you’re lost.
Ash looks down, realizing that she’s right. Before he can apologize, Navi changes the subject.
Navi: You said your name was Ash Ketchum, right?
Ash: Uh, yes.
Navi: Well, Ash, why don't you tell me more about yourself?
Navi carries Ash back to Zelda's bed, where she felt was a much more comfortable place than the desk, especially for this kind of conversation.
Meanwhile, a shadowy figure is overlooking the situation going on in the castle. This figure is known as Ganondorf.
Ganondorf: So, I see that Zelda’s having some sort of party?
Just then, a hole with a person in it can be seen.
Ganondorf: How did it go?
??. ??????: It went exactly as planned. Link has been sent to another dimension, my adversary has been sent to another dimension, and both of them shrunk.
Ganondorf: Good. Although was it really necessary to add a shrinking device to it?
??. ??????: Positive. Even at their normal heights, they may find a way to get home. I know exactly what my adversary is capable of and I’m sure that you know very well what your adversary is capable of.
Ganondorf: Good point.
??. ??????: Also, I’m getting readings saying that Link has ended up in the dimension that I’m in.
Ganondorf: If that’s the case, then make sure that he’s dead.
??. ??????: You can count on it. I’m also getting readings that someone else was involved in this transportation.
Ganondorf: Who?
??. ??????: I don’t know, but he wound up in the Hyrule Dimension.
Ganondorf: Well, he shouldn’t pose too much of a problem for me. I thank you once again for setting me free and planning for this, doctor.
We realize that the guy in the portal is none other than Dr. Eggman from Sonic’s Dimension.
Dr. Eggman: Anything to get rid of our adversaries.
The hole disappears.
Ganondorf: With Link in Sonic’s Dimension, all I have to do is capture Zelda, take her piece of the Triforce, and then, this world will be mine!
Ganondorf holds his fist in triumphant.
Ash spent the next few minutes seemingly telling his life's story to Navi, who was looking very much fascinated with what she was hearing.
Navi: I see... so you live in a world where monsters and humans live in harmony, and you use these monsters to win tournaments?
Ash: Yeah, something like that. One of them, named Pikachu, is my absolute best friend. It's probably worried sick about me, after I got sucked through that portal.
Navi: So that is how you arrived here?
Ash: Yes. I was going to use the restroom, after I was healing my Pikachu. After doing my business, I saw this weird looking portal. My curiosity got the better of me and I stuck my hand inside it. That's when I got sucked in.
Navi: And I guess that the portal shrunk you on the way here.
Ash: Well, I guess. Have I really shrunk? I mean, I pretty much had thought of it that way, but at the same time, I also thought I was living in a world of giants.
Navi: Yeah, imagine that! If that were really the case, then I'd be normal sized compared to these other people.
Navi folds her arms in frustration.
Ash: Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.
Navi: That’s alright. You're so cute I can easily forgive you. *giggles*
Ash: Well, that’s good to hear.
Navi looks straight into his eyes and then giggles.
Ash: What? Is there something on my face?
Navi: No. It’s just that the way you act reminds me of Link.
Ash: Who?
Navi: Oh, he's much bigger than the both of us. He wears a green tunic and hat and always carries a sword and shield with him. He's called the Hero of Time around here. A lot of ladies here think he's a hunk.
Ash begins to think.
Ash: Hmmm... that's sounds familiar.
Navi: Huh? What do you mean?
Ash: I remember flying by someone dressed like that while I was in the portal.
Navi: Huh?! Really?! Link was there?!
Ash: I’m not exactly sure. I only got about a three second look at him. Although the description you gave me seems to fit him, perfectly. I also saw a blue creature fly past me. Maybe this Link got swept in the portal too.
Navi: It has to be. This would explain why he hasn't come back to the castle.
Ash: Say, you think you can help me get back to my own world? Maybe I can find Link, too.
Navi: Well, I wish I could, but I'm just a guardian fairy. My magic can't possibly compare to that of Princess Zelda.
Ash: Still, I think that we need to help each other out. You and I are both in the same situation, and this can’t be ignored.
Navi: Well, like she said, it will have to wait until after the party tonight. She’s been looking forward to this ball for a while!
Ash: So I’ve been told.
Navi: Although, you’re right. If everything that you’re saying is true, then she needs to know about this, now. Hey! Why don't I give you a guided tour of the castle?
Ash: Uh, are you sure?
Navi: Sure, I'm sure, handsome! We may run into Zelda or Impa, and then, you can tell them where Link is.
Ash: Yeah, that’s a good idea!
Navi: I'll even give you the power to fly!
Ash: What?!
She waves her hands around her body, and then, a sprinkle of magic dust is flying all over Ash's body. Ash could feel himself lifting off the bed. He was flying, or so it seems.
Ash: Hey, this is cool! Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
Before Ash could seriously thank Navi, he suddenly felt the lifting increase in velocity. He was greatly speeding up in ascension, and this was only the beginning. Now, he’s flying all over the room. Navi watched as Ash covers almost every corner of the bedroom.
Navi: Oops. I guess I overdid it.
She waves her hands right at the flying Ash, and he seemed to be moving wherever Navi's hands moved. Unfortunately, Ash is very close to crashing into a bunch of objects, as he’s flying uncontrollably through the air.
Ash: Get me down from here, and hurry!!!
Ash is about to slam head-on into a dresser, but Navi was able to steer him away. Finally, she casts a reversal spell and Ash falls back onto the bed. Ash looks worn out as he slowly looks back at Navi, and why not? He just went for the ride of his life.
Navi: Um......enjoy the ride, sweetums?
Ash: Very funny, Navi......
Navi: Let me try that again.
She casts the same exact spell, though this time, not for a prolonged amount of time. Ash is floating up in the air once again as Navi approaches him.
Navi: There. I decreased the power of the spell. You can fly as long as you are by my side!
Ash: By your side?
Navi: Sure! It's more romantic that way, don't you think? *giggles*
Navi shows her desire to flirt with Ash once again. Ash brakes her out of her trance and changes the subject.
Ash: Uh, how about that tour you said you would give me?
Navi: Oh, yes of course! Just follow me!
Navi flies out of Zelda's bedroom with Ash in close proximity.
Meanwhile, Ganondorf has been overviewing the situation at hand.
Ganondorf: *groans* I’ve been locked up in the Sacred Realm for so long, my powers have gotten rusty.
Ganondorf stretches.
Ganondorf: *groans* At my current state, I don’t stand a chance against Zelda. I’d better start out by summoning some strong monsters.
Ganondorf uses his powers and tries to summon his strongest monsters. Unfortunately, he only has enough strength for two monsters. Dark Link and King Dodongo. He’s exhausted.
Ganondorf: *breathing heavily* It’s time……to contact…….the doctor. Something…….must’ve happened…..when…….he helped me…..escape…....from the…..Sacred Realm.
Ganondorf uses a magic spell and Dr. Eggman can be seen in the clouds.
Dr. Eggman: What’s wrong?
Ganondorf: *breathing heavily* Something’s……wrong with…my powers.
Dr. Eggman: Hmm. Well, according to my data, it turns out that when you escaped, most of your energy was depleted.
Ganondorf recovers.
Ganondorf: It must’ve happened while I was trapped in the Sacred Realm. Although, with the Triforce of Power, I should’ve regained my strength.
Dr. Eggman: It only appeared that way. Your power levels were that of a normal human being. So, in a way, you did.
Ganondorf: I suppose the Triforce of Power is responsible for this.
Dr. Eggman: Yes. Without that, you probably would’ve been a lot weaker than you already are.
Ganondorf: So, how do I regain my full strength?
Dr. Eggman: Your powers should come back to you over time. So until then, just
try and restrain yourself.
Ganondorf: Very well.
The cloud showing Dr. Eggman’s image disappears.
Some time later, Navi and Ash are outside. Ash has just finished his tour of the Hyrule Market.
Ash: Wow! I never expected that I’d really be within a really old town.
Navi: Well, I wouldn’t call this old, but compared to what you’ve told me, it does seem that way.
Ash: Enough touring. We need to get to Impa and the Princess.
Navi: Well, we haven’t seen them, and I don’t know where they are.
Ash: Let’s head back to the castle. Maybe they’re waiting for us.
Navi: Sure.
They fly back to Zelda’s room.
In Kakariko Village, people are working back and forth on preparations for the ball.
Impa: (To herself) It looks like we’ll be finished a lot sooner than we thought.
Then, she notices Zelda being lost in thought.
Impa: Your highness, what’s wrong?
Zelda: I’m worried about Link. It’s not like him to be absent for this.
Impa: Princess, you shouldn’t worry. Link’s probably dealing with Ganondorf, right now.
Zelda: Maybe. We haven’t seen any attacks, recently. Still, I have a bad feeling that something happened to him. I mean, it’s been too quiet, and we haven’t seen Ganondorf’s monsters, either.
Zelda begins to walk out of Kakariko Village.
Impa: Where are you going?
Zelda: I’ve already got my dress picked out, so I’m heading back to my room.
You stay here and make sure that nothing else happens to the decorations.
Impa: Should we have someone escort you back to the
castle? With Ganondorf still out there, it’s not safe for you to be alone.
Zelda: No, that won’t be necessary. I’ll be fine.
Impa: Just be careful, Princess.
Zelda leaves for Hyrule Castle with thoughts running through her mind.
Zelda: (Thinking) Impa may be sure of herself, but I feel that something bad has happened to Link. If Link had defeated Ganondorf, then he’d be back already. Otherwise, Ganondorf would’ve been able to take over the world. So why hasn’t anything happened?
Zelda heads through the Hyrule Market.
Zelda: (Thinking) Maybe the small kid knows something about this. He’s unlike anything that I’ve ever seen, and since he showed up, things have been very quiet.
Navi and Ash are back inside Zelda’s room. Ash looks disappointed.
Navi: Don’t worry, sweetie. I’m sure we’ll find them.
Ash: *sighs* Believe me, I’m trying my best not to complain, since she was really nice about this. Still, I can’t stop worrying about Pikachu and my other friends. They’re probably worried sick about me.
Zelda: Well, you can stop worrying, because I’m here.
Both Navi and Ash are surprised to see Zelda appear.
Navi: Zelda?!
Ash: But what about--
Zelda: The Hyrule ball? That’s still happening.
Ash: So why did you tell me to stop worrying?
Navi: It’s because she’s worried about Link. Aren’t you?
Zelda: Yes. I would like to know if you know anything about his disappearance.
Ash: Well… not much, except that we both went through a portal. I’m guessing that it shrunk me.
Zelda: Can you tell me where it happened?
Ash: Sure. It was right in the middle of the drawbridge, outside the castle.
Zelda picks up Ash. Navi flies nearby.
Zelda: Can you tell me anything else?
Ash: Wait a minute. Where are you taking me?
Zelda: To the drawbridge.
Zelda starts walking out of the room.
Navi: Princess, what exactly are you up to?
Zelda: I want to see if there’s anything around the drawbridge that could help
us out.
Zelda makes it to the drawbridge, but sees nothing different.
Navi: There’s nothing here.
Zelda: Hmm….. Ash, is there anything else that happened when you arrived?
Ash: Well, I noticed that my Pikachu was missing?
Zelda: What?
Navi: His friend.
Zelda: Oh.
Ash: Then, I saw three ladies approach the bridge and hitched a ride on your servant’s foot. The only other thing I noticed was a bunch of black powder around the drawbridge. I think that your servant noticed it, too. The wind blew it away, however.
Zelda: I’ll ask Impa about it, right away. In return, I’d like for you to be able to participate in the Hyrule ball.
Ash is shocked, and Navi is very happy.
Ash: What?!
Navi: That would be wonderful!
Ash: But-But-But-But-But--
Zelda: What’s wrong? I think that it’s a fair exchange. I help you find a way home, and you participate in this event.
Ash: But what about your friend?
Zelda: Link? Oh, he’ll be there.
Ash: Huh?
Zelda: We’ll worry about that when the time comes. For now, let’s see what else we can find out about his disappearance.
Ganondorf has recovered his strength, but chooses not to summon any more monsters.
Ganondorf: I don’t want to take any chances. My strength has recovered, but I should save it for Zelda. For now, I’m sending out you two. King Dodongo, get to Hyrule Castle, and Dark Link, you take care of Princess Zelda.
Both monsters leave.
At Kakariko Village, Zelda asks Impa some questions.
Impa: Yes, I saw the black powder. I thought it was strange, but it was blown away in the wind. I didn’t think that it would play an important part of this mystery.
Ash: Well, that’s our only lead to this.
Zelda: *sighs* Well, I guess it’s time to get changed. Continue with the preparations.
Some time later, Zelda’s in her room with Navi and the shrunken Ash. Both Ash and Zelda are depressed.
Navi: Don’t act like this. I’m sure that Pikachu and Link are doing just fine.
Just then, a voice is heard.
????????: What the heck is going on with the Master Emerald?
Zelda, Ash, and Navi are all shocked at the voice that they hear. We know that this voice is of Knuckles the Echidna of Sonic's Dimension. This is because he’s known as the guardian of the Master Emerald.
Zelda: Who said that?
Knuckles: Huh?
Zelda: I know I heard a voice.
Ash: So did I.
Knuckles is a little ignorant about his voice being heard, and continues on.
Knuckles: That’s weird.
Navi: There it is again.
Knuckles: Are they referring to me?
Ash: Yes, we are.
Knuckles: Whoa! First Tails found the black powder, now the Master Emerald is acting weird.
The words “black powder” get the attention of the three.
Zelda: Did you say “black powder”?!
Ash: Who are you?
Knuckles: Uh, hold on! Things are going too fast! First, I want to know who you are before I say anything.
Zelda: Very well. I’ll go first. My name is Princess Zelda and I’m the ruler of Hyrule. The two with me are known as Navi and Ash Ketchum.
Navi & Ash: Hello.
Knuckles: Uh, okay. And my name is Knuckles the Echidna.
Navi: How are you able to communicate with us?
Knuckles: I’m just as puzzled as you are. Through this huge gem, known as the
Master Emerald, I saw an image of you three. I didn’t think that I’d be able to
communicate with you.
Ash: Anyway, what do you know about the black powder?
Knuckles: Not much, but I know someone else that might. What do you know about
it?
Ash: Not much, but I think that it sent me here from another world and shrunk
me.
Knuckles: What? Care to explain it, kid?
Ash: I saw a weird portal and saw two other figures pass me. One was a man in a
green uniform and the other was a blue hedgehog.
Knuckles: A BLUE HEDGEHOG?!
Zelda: You know of this creature?
Knuckles: Know of it?! That creature lives here!
Zelda: Then, you wouldn’t happen to know if a man named
Link was transported there, would you?
Ash: You see, when the three of us went through that portal, we all got shrunk
and were sent to different dimensions. We think that someone may have gotten
into your world.
Knuckles: (To himself) *gasp* Amy! (Out loud) I think I know where he is. Although, I don’t know how I’ll be able to communicate with you after I leave to search for him.
Zelda: Leave that to me. Just please find Link.
Knuckles: Sure thing.
Zelda picks up Ash with her left hand and smiles.
Zelda: It won’t be long before we find both of our missing companions and end this nightmare.
Navi: I wouldn’t call this a nightmare. *giggles*
Ash: You know, for some strange reason, neither would I.
Zelda & Navi: Huh?
Ash: Well, I’ve always ended up getting involved in crazy adventures, even when
I didn’t want to. I guess my curiosity can be responsible for this. But, in a
way, I’m never completely unhappy for what I get involved in.
Zelda: And why is that?
Ash: Because of all the interesting places and people I meet, like you girls and the land of Hyrule.
Navi giggles.
Zelda: *giggles* I suppose that you’re right. After all, at that size, you are cute.
Zelda pets him on the head with her right hand.
Zelda: I’m sure that you are just as handsome at your normal height.
Ash: *chuckles* Thanks.
Navi: Princess, I’m surprised that you’re enjoying this.
Zelda: I was so worked up with the Hyrule ball, I didn’t even bother to take the time to learn more about this young lad.
Navi: Oh, it’s all right. I’ll tell you all about it after we’ve fixed this mess. I’m just curious to know what you would do if Link is really Ash’s size.
Zelda: *giggles* That’s a good question, and I’ve got so many answers.
Ash: Calm down, princess. I don’t want you getting any funny ideas. (Thinking) Especially if she decides to use me.
Zelda: I’m sorry, Ash. But the idea just makes me feel really giddy.
Navi: Well, I can’t wait for the Hyrule ball to start.
Navi stands on Zelda’s hand and grabs Ash's right arm.
Navi: That’s when you and I will dance and have the most wonderful time of our lives.
Ash: *groans* Yeah. *chuckles*
???: Hello? Is anyone there?
????: Zelda?
Zelda and Navi gasp when they here that second voice.
Zelda & Navi: IT’S LINK!!!
Meanwhile, Ganondorf has managed to create an army of monsters.
Ganondorf: Yes! My true powers have returned to me. Now, I’ll be able to crush Zelda, and with her Triforce Of Wisdom, even if Link makes it back, I’ll be unstoppable! Now, GO FORTH, MY MINIONS!!! Our first target is Hyrule Castle!
The monsters start scattering away.
After the pleasantries, Link, Zelda, Amy, and the others start talking about their situation.
Zelda: Well, thank goodness you’re all right. Navi and I were very worried, about you.
Link: I’m not surprised.
Navi: Where are you?
Link: I’m in another world. I don’t know exactly what happened.
Tails: I can explain.
Tails & Cream appear.
Amy: Tails?
Tails: I’ve been analyzing this powder for a while, and after hearing Cream’s story, it all finally makes sense.
Knuckles: How so?
Tails: Our adversary, Dr. Eggman, managed to invent a machine to transport anyone who enters its portals to another dimension.
Cream: But what about the shrinking part?
Tails: As bizarre as the method sounds, Eggman may have added that to the system to think that Sonic would have little hope of making it back.
Navi: But how do Link & Ash play roles in this?
Ash: And what about the black powder?
Tails: Simple. The powder was black magic, meaning that someone else was involved in this.
Zelda & Navi: Ganondorf!
Navi: That explains how he managed to escape the Sacred Realm.
Zelda: And how he managed to get Link involved in this. He probably realized that he could invade our world a lot easier without Link.
Ash: But how am I involved in this?
Tails: Now that, I can’t explain. My guess is that when the portal opened up in your world, you must’ve stepped in, out of curiosity.
Ash: Yeah, I did.
Zelda: Now how do we fix this mess?
Tails: Fortunately, I’ve managed to find a way to create Eggman’s machine through reverse engineering.
Ash: Wow. You ARE a genius.
Tails: It’s not that simple, however. The portal was also made with black magic. If we plan on reversing the process, then we need something that can repel it.
Zelda: That, I can help you with.
Tails: Good. Now, let’s get started.
Dr. Eggman: *echoes* I think not!
Everyone is shocked at what they hear. Even in the Hyrule Dimension, the announcement is being made.
Dr. Eggman: *echoes* I’m very impressed that you all managed to figure out my little scheme. Down to the closest details, even.
Zelda: What’s going on?
Navi: Who’s that?
Knuckles: Dr. Eggman.
Dr. Eggman: I’ve managed to grant Ganondorf’s freedom, by coincidence, actually.
Ganondorf: Coincidence or not, we’ve managed to assemble two different armies to destroy both worlds.
Dr. Eggman: So, I see that you’ve regained your strength.
Ganondorf: Of course.
Dr. Eggman: Now, it’s time….
Ganondorf: …for you…
Dr. Eggman & Ganondorf: …to say good-bye to your worlds!!
Just then, an army of robots starts approaching Angel Island. Knuckles can see them in the great distance.
Knuckles: It’s a big force!
Tails: We have no time to lose! I’ll need all the protection I can get while I get the portal up and running. Zelda, I’ll need you to stay where you are.
Zelda: Why?
Tails: When it’s time to activate the machine, I’ll need you to use a magic spell that can be sent through the portal. That’s what will cause the reverse effects of the shrinking part.
Link: What should I do?
Tails: You stay with Amy and Cream. Knuckles can handle the swarm of robots.
Amy: I’m not taking that chance. I’m going to help him. We need all the time we can buy.
Tails: Fine.
Amy gives Link to Cream.
Cream: Good luck, you two. Be careful.
Amy and Knuckles leave.
Zelda: Navi, Ash, and I will stay, too. Hopefully, my soldiers can hold the monsters out long enough for Link to make the trip back. Navi: Once he’s here, our victory is guaranteed.
Tails: Let’s hope so.
Outside, monsters are everywhere, and the skies have darkened.
Soldier #1: It’s a good thing we’ve managed to evacuate the civilians to Kakariko Village.
Soldier #2: I just hope that we can hold the front line until Impa returns. If what was heard is true, then we’re going to need all the time we can buy.
Soldier #1: For Link?
Soldier #3: Exactly. He’s probably having a hard time finding Ganondorf.
Soldier #1: Enough talk. The monsters are coming!
Meanwhile, Zelda is with Ash.
Zelda: As soon as Navi gets back, we’ll know how bad the situation is.
Ash: I hope so. I don’t want her doing anything reckless.
Zelda: Neither do I, but she tends to be, from time to time.
Just then, Navi enters the room.
Zelda: How bad is it?
Navi: Worse than I imagined. Ganondorf’s monsters have covered all of Hyrule
Field, and they’re all heading into the Market.
Zelda: Navi, go find Impa! She needs to know about this situation, now!
Navi: I’m on my way.
Navi leaves the room.
Ash: How can she help us?
Zelda: Impa’s one of my strongest warriors. She should be able to buy us time while Tails manages to fix the portal.
Ash: Let’s hope you’re right.
Just then, Tails’s voice can be heard.
Tails: Phew. That was easier than I thought. Zelda, can
you hear me?
Zelda: Yes.
Tails: Good, because now, I’m going to activate the portal.
Inside Zelda’s room, the room starts shaking. Ash falls off the table.
Ash: AAAAHHHH!
Zelda manages to catch him.
Zelda: I got you.
Ash: Thanks, princess.
Zelda holds on tight to Ash.
Zelda: The fighting outside must be more intense than I thought.
Tails: The portal has appeared!
Cream: You did it, Tails!
Link: Well, I guess we won’t need Zelda’s help, after all.
Link wastes no time in going through. But, when he does, he comes back out. Zelda and Navi are anxious to see him, but are confused when they hear his voice.
Link: What?
Tails: Nothing happened.
Zelda: What’s wrong?
Cream: We’re sorry, Princess Zelda. It seems that when Link went through the
portal, he came back out.
Tails: Now, I see. Ganondorf’s magic must’ve been what caused the shrinking device to work in the portals. As long as you guys are small, you won’t be able to travel back to your own worlds.
Ash: So, what do we do?
Just then, the portal shuts down and closes.
Tails: That’s not good. The portal has shut down.
Just then, an explosion happens. The castle shakes, Zelda trips and falls, and Ash falls out of Zelda’s hand and out of her room, through a window.
Zelda: Ash! Tails please continue to fix the portals. I’ve got to go.
Tails: Wait! Where are you going?!
As she leaves the room, she gets ambushed by monsters.
Zelda: Oh, no. This could take a while.
She blasts them all with Din’s Fire and attempts to fight her way out.
Outside, Ash sees a huge stampede of monsters, both in size and in numbers.
Ash: Now what do I do?
Just then, a Dodongo sniffs and looks at Ash. It licks its lips. It’s safe to say that it’s hungry.
Ash: *gulps* Oh, no.
Meanwhile, Navi has made it to Kakariko Village and Impa is at the front gate, running towards Hyrule Castle.
Navi: Impa! Something terrible has happened.
Impa: I know. We heard everything. I’m ready to leave for the castle.
Navi: Great.
In the Market, the soldiers have been pushed away from the gates, by the monsters.
Soldier #1: Fall back!
Soldier #2: These monsters are too much!
Soldier #3: We need Link!
Just then, all the monsters are knocked down and disappear.
Impa: Well, I suppose that I’ll have to do in the meantime.
Soldier #1: Impa! Thank goodness you’re here.
Impa: Where’s the princess?
Soldier #1: She’s safe in her room.
Impa: In that case, Navi, go let the princess know that I’m here.
Navi: Right.
On the way to the castle, Navi notices a portal right next to the moat, inside the castle gates.
Navi: What’s this? *gasps* Wait a minute! Could this be the portal that had sent Ash to this dimension?! If so, then I need to tell Zelda about this, right away!
Before she could leave, she notices Ash being chased by a Dodongo.
Navi: ASH! YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE!!
Navi flies over to him.
Ash: Navi? Save me!
The Dodongo is about ready to chomp. Right then, Navi grabs him right before the Dodongo’s mouth closed. The Dodongo roars and blows fire at our tiny heroes. Navi dodges the flame. And continues to fly away from the beast, but the beast roars and gives chase.
Navi: A Dodongo.
Ash: A what?!
Navi: What the heck are you doing out of the room, anyway?!
Ash: It wasn’t my fault! Monsters appeared near Zelda’s room. An explosion happened, and I fell out of the window.
The Dodongo roars and continues to chase them.
Ash: AAHH!! It’s still following us!
Navi: (Thinking) I can’t fly higher. We’ll be taken down by all the explosions and flying monsters before we reach the castle. But we just can’t keep flying forever. We have to get to Zelda’s side.
Ash: Navi, spiders!
Navi: WWAAAAAHH!!!
Navi dodges back and forth from the spiders. The Dodongo easily makes its way through the spiders.
Meanwhile, Zelda has managed to make her way outside. The skies are now black.
Zelda: It may be nightfall, but the night sky is far from normal.
In the distance, she hears screaming. She turns her head and sees Navi and Ash being chased by a Dodongo.
Zelda: Ash! Navi!
Zelda uses Farore’s Wind to teleport herself near the others.
Navi continues to fly away from the monster, but becomes tired.
Navi: *breathes heavily* I…can’t…keep…this up…much…longer…
Ash: Navi, what’s wrong?
Navi: So…tired. Sorry, Ash.
The Dodongo blows fire and manages to hit Navi’s wings.
Ash: Navi!
Navi starts falling fast. Ash notices the area in front of him and it’s pink.
Ash: AAHH!! LOOK OUT!!
Fortunately, the pink area felt like sheets as he and Navi fell to the ground. All of a sudden, a shot of red energy hits the Dodongo’s tail. Then, giant white hands grab Ash and Navi.
Ash: Hey! Put us down!
?????: Uh, you’re welcome, Ash.
Ash: Princess Zelda?!
She runs back to the room as the Dodongo explodes.
Navi: Uh…..
Zelda: Navi, are you okay?
Navi: Zelda?
Ash: Man, are we glad to see you.
Zelda: I’m also glad to see that you’re safe, little ones.
Ash: ………………………………………………….
Navi: Listen, I saw something strange on the way to the castle.
Zelda: What was it?
Navi: I think that it was the portal that sent Ash here.
Zelda: Let’s let Link and the others know about this.
Making their way into Zelda’s room, Zelda manages to destroy a few more monsters. Then, Tails communicates with them.
Tails: Good to see that you all made it back. The portal has been fixed, but it still needs more power.
Zelda: In that case, it’s my turn. I need to try and reverse Ganondorf’s magic. This may take some time, as Ganondorf and his monsters are still amassing outside the castle.
Tails: Well, I did everything that I could on my end. The rest is up to you.
Zelda: Right.
Navi: We’ll do what we can.
Zelda: Easier said than done, though. Ganondorf is expecting me to come out, and if he gets his hands on me, we won’t stand a chance.
Ash: Wait! What about me?
Zelda: You stay with Navi.
Navi: Remember how we did this last time?
Ash: Uhhh….. Do we have to?
Navi: We don’t have time to be picky. Just trust me, this time.
Ash: I’d rather stay in here.
Navi: I doubt that you’re any safer in here.
Zelda: She’s right. Monsters have managed to get into the castle. On top of that, spiders and Baby Dodongos have managed to get near this room.
Ash: *sighs* Fine.
Navi sprays some dust on Ash and he starts floating in the air.
Zelda: (To herself) So, I see that she’s been practicing her magic on him. (Out loud) Let’s go.
Outside, the monsters are still pouring through the Market. With Impa’s help, the soldiers have managed to hold their ground. Just then, King Dodongo appears.
Impa: Curses! Fall back to the castle!
All the soldiers move to the castle. King Dodongo rolls into a ball and starts smashing the buildings. Meanwhile, as Impa and the others back to the castle, Impa notices that Zelda is outside.
Impa: Continue to guard the castle from here! I’m going to Zelda’s side.
Ganondorf is watching from the air at a distance.
Ganondorf: Good thing I decided to change plans and wait, before sending King Dodongo to attack. Now, Dark Link, it’s your turn.
Dark Link goes over to Hyrule Castle.
Zelda, Ash, & Navi are all traveling to the location of the portal.
Navi: There it is.
Just before Zelda could get to it, Dark Link appears and charges at the princess. Just then, Impa appears and throws Dark Link into the moat. The current is able to push him away.
Impa: Princess, what are you--
Just then she notices the portal.
Zelda: Impa, I’ll need protection while I try to fix this portal.
Impa: Portal?
Ash: Yeah, this portal can send Link back here and me back home.
Impa: What?!
Navi: All it needs is Zelda’s magic to reverse the effects.
Impa: How is the little boy flying?
Navi: It’s my doing.
Before any more questions can be asked, Dark Link reappears and charges at Zelda. Before he can strike, Impa blocks the attack and they both fall into the moat and get pushed away by the current.
Impa: Go, princess! We’ll give you all the time you can buy!
Both Impa and Dark Link are gone.
Zelda starts using her magic and the portal starts turning white.
Zelda: (To herself) Triforce Of Wisdom, please give me strength!
Ganondorf senses the amount of strength behind Zelda’s powers and becomes shocked.
Ganondorf: She’s become stronger than I expected. At this rate, she’ll have the portal fixed in no time. I’d better strike, now! Triforce Of Power, give me strength!
Ganondorf flies toward Zelda and charges up for a powerful attack. A huge, dark ball of energy is formed.
Ganondorf: GGGGGGRRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! IT’S DONE!!!
Ash: Your highness, a man is flying in the air.
Navi: *gasps* It’s Ganondorf!
Zelda can sense the strong amount of power from a distance.
Zelda: Oh, no! But I still need more time.
Navi: Man, I wish Link was here.
Ash: (To himself) Man, I wish Pikachu was here.
Ganondorf fires his attack at Zelda.
Zelda: I don’t have anymore time. Sorry, Link.
The blast was strong enough to destroy the portal. Ash and Navi are flying in the air. Zelda sees this and manages to catch them. She takes them and heads back into the Castle and into her room.
Ganondorf: Excellent! Now, there shouldn’t be any problems taking Zelda’s part of the Triforce.
Just then, Ganondorf felt a new power.
Ganondorf: It-It can’t be!!
As the smoke cleared, a figure could be seen.
Ganondorf: No! This wasn’t supposed to happen!
Ganondorf backs away to safety.
Link: I’m home.
Zelda is in her room and has a shocked look on her face.
Navi: Princess, what’s wrong?
Zelda: It’s Link! He’s back!
Navi has a gleaming look on her face.
Navi: REALLY?! YYYAAAAAYYY?!
She hugs Ash in excitement.
Ash: Hey! Gack!
Navi: Now, we have nothing else to worry about.
Ash: Gack! Is this Link THAT strong?
Navi lets go.
Navi: Are you kidding?! He can take on Ganondorf and his henchmen blindfolded if he wanted to.
Zelda: We need to go and find him.
Ash: Why can’t we just stay here?
Navi: Now why would we want to do that?
Ash: Well, we may get lost in the swarm of monsters out there. If we stayed in here, it won’t be long before he finds us, if he’s as strong as you say he is.
Zelda: That sounds very logical.
Navi: Wow. I’m impressed.
Ash: *laughs* Well, it wasn’t anything big.
Zelda: You can say that again.
Navi and Zelda laugh. Just then, they hear Link’s voice outside Zelda’s room.
Link: ZELDA!!!
Zelda: LINK!!!
Link sees monsters in the way. Zelda uses Din’s Fire to blast them away.
Link heads into Zelda’s room. He’s back to his normal height. Ash and Navi are floating in the air. Zelda becomes happy.
Zelda: Oh, thank goodness Tails was able to pull through for us.
Navi goes over to Link. This causes Ash to fall.
Ash: Hey, Naviiiiiiiii!
Luckily, Zelda manages to catch him.
Zelda: It’s okay. I got you.
Ash: Thanks, Zelda.
Link: So, you were the kid that Zelda mentioned.
Ash: Yep.
Link: I knew you looked familiar.
Ash: So, the portals work. Then it won’t be long before--
Just then, the whole room shakes. Ganondorf’s laughter can be heard.
Zelda: Not again.
Link: Ganondorf!
Suddenly, Zelda is incased in a diamond. Ash is trapped with her.
Ash: Hey! What’s going on?!
Link: Zelda!
Navi: Ash!
Ganondorf: This is completely unexpected. I never thought that you two would be much more powerful, or that Link would be able to return to the Hyrule Dimension at his normal size. I guess time has treated you well. But with Zelda’s Triforce Of Wisdom, I’ll become unstoppable!
Ash: Hey! Let me out!
Zelda and Ash are teleported away.
Ganondorf: If you want to save her, come to my new castle. *laughs evilly*
Navi: Ash, no!
Navi starts crying.
Link: Did something happen between you two while I was gone?
Navi nods her head.
Link: Well, don’t worry. I’m sure that Zelda will keep him safe.
Navi: I hope so.
Link: Now, let’s go find them.
Navi dries her tears.
Navi: Right.
Link and Navi leave.
Meanwhile, Ash wakes up. He finds himself in a strange room.
Ash: What is this place? Zelda?!
He walks around the gigantic room for a little while. Then he sees Zelda, sleeping on the ground.
Ash: Zelda!
Ash walks up to Zelda and starts shoving her face back and forth.
Ash: Hey, Zelda, wake up!
Zelda slowly wakes up. She turns around and raises her left hand down on Ash.
Ash: HEY! LOOK OUT!!
Zelda’s hand barely misses Ash as he is standing in between her ring and middle fingers.
Ash: *exhales* Man, that was close! Watch it, Zelda! You almost squashed me!
Zelda: *groans* W-What happened?
Ash: Well, at least you’re okay.
Zelda: Ash?
Ash: Do you know where we are?
Zelda looks around and realizes that she and Ash have been transported to Gannon’s Castle.
Zelda: It’s probably Gannon’s Castle.
Zelda picks up Ash and places him on her right shoulder. She starts walking around the room.
Ash: So, it looks like we’re stuck here for a while.
Zelda: It seems so. Don’t you worry, little one. I’ll make sure that nothing bad happens to you.
Ash: Thanks. Well, we were both taken by that Ganondorf. My guess is that we’re either at the highest floor of the tower or the lowest floor of the basement.
Zelda: What makes you say that?
Ash: It’s just a good hunch.
Zelda: Yeah, in a way, I agree with you.
Ash: Do you think that we should look for a way out?
Zelda: No. Ganondorf is probably watching over us.
Ash looks down.
Ash: (Thinking) Pikachu.
Zelda looks at him.
Zelda: You miss your world and your friends, don’t you?
Ash: Yeah.
Zelda: Excuse me for a minute.
Zelda grabs Ash and holds him in front of her with both hands.
Zelda: Sorry, but I felt like I had to speak to you at eye level.
Ash: Okay. Anyway, I’m sure that the ones in my world probably have to deal with this type of problem as well. The problem is that we don’t know what they’re dealing with. *sighs* I just hope that they’re all right.
Zelda give him a kiss on the forehead then rubs his back with her right index finger.
Zelda: Relax. I promise that you’ll get back home. Just take it easy, and stay calm.
Ash finds this relaxing.
Ash: Thanks. This makes me feel much better.
Zelda: *giggles* Nice to know that you’re happy.
Ash: Say, what did Ganondorf mean when he mentioned something about a Triforce?
Zelda: It’s a powerful item that can be used to restore peace to our world, or destroy the entire planet, if fallen into the wrong hands.
Ash: So that’s why Ganondorf wants it, but what did he mean when he mentioned the different names?
Once again, they become encased in a pink diamond-shaped barrier.
Ganondorf: I can answer that, little man.
Zelda and Ash are shocked to see Ganondorf.
Ganondorf: So, you’re the one who was affected by the portals.
Ash: Grrrrrrrr…….
Ganondorf: Anyway, the Triforce is clearly known to grant the wishes of anyone that touches it. However, if the person’s heart is imbalanced, then the Triforce is separated into three parts. I managed to find the Triforce, and that’s exactly what happened to me.
Ash: But how do Link and Zelda fit into this?
Zelda: After the Triforce was separated, the three parts were found within three different people, including the one who found the Triforce. The Triforce parts reflect on what the person is.
Ganondorf: Myself, I wanted power, so I ended up with the Triforce Of Power. Zelda ended up with the Triforce Of Wisdom. Once I’ve claimed her piece of the Triforce, it’ll be easy to take Link’s Triforce Of Courage.
Zelda: Once he has all three parts, he plans on conquering the world.
Link: Not if I can help it.
They all turn around to see Link and Navi.
Navi: Ash, you’re not hurt, are you?
Ash: I’m fine.
Ganondorf turns his attention towards Link.
Link: You can’t win, Ganondorf.
Ganondorf: Although I admit that my powers have gotten weaker, I’ve still managed to muster up enough to win this fight.
Link: Navi, go to Zelda’s side.
Navi: Right.
Navi goes over to Zelda and Ash.
Navi: Your highness, it’s nice to see that you’re safe.
She sees Ash in her hands.
Navi: My feelings are twice as large for you, Ash. *giggles*
Ash changes the subject.
Ash: So, can Link with this?
Zelda: Ganondorf has managed to regain his strength. However, Link is not one to be slacking off.
Navi: He’ll win for sure.
Ganondorf: Triforce Of Power,--
Link: Triforce Of Courage,--
Ganondorf & Link: --give me strength!
Both of their hands light up. Ganondorf takes off into the air. Link takes out his sword and shield. Ganondorf strikes the floor and breaks the ground.
Ash: Wow! That’s incredible!
Link jumps out of the way. Ganondorf throws a ball of energy at Link. Link reflects it back at him. They shoot the energy ball back and forth until it hits Ganondorf. Link shoots a Light Arrow at him and then slashes away at him.
Ash: Whoa! Look at him go!
Ganondorf recovers and is floating in the air. He shoots another energy ball at him.
Link: (To himself) He’s so predictable. This will be over in no time.
Ganondorf chuckles. Link deflects the energy ball back at him. Ganondorf deflects the ball back at him and disappears.
Link: What the--?!
In the confusion, Link manages to deflect the ball. However, Ganondorf goes from behind and used a Warlock Punch, knocking Link into a wall.
Zelda: Link!
Ganondorf: I’m not as slow as I was in our last encounter. I’ve learned a few new techniques while you were away.
Ganondorf throws another energy ball at him.
Ganondorf: Now let’s see you handle this!
Ganondorf throws the ball and after Link deflects it, Ganondorf catches the ball in his right hand. He charges at Link with his Gerudo Dragon attack. It’s so fast, that Link doesn’t even see him coming until the last second. Ganondorf sends Link flying into the air. Then, Ganondorf uses his Dark Dive attack. Grabbing Link, he electrifies him before throwing him away. Link takes a nasty fall to the ground.
Navi & Zelda: Link, look out!
As Link is recovering from the ground, Ganondorf uses his Wizard’s Foot attack. Link is just able to block it with his shield. Ganondorf backs away and is floating in the air. Link is just about out of gas.
Link: Dang. For a guy who’s lost a lot of power, he’s doing very well. I can’t believe I underestimated him. I have to turn this around, but what can I--
He looks over to Zelda’s prison.
Link: That’s it!
Ganondorf: *laughs evilly* Time to die, Link!
Ganondorf charges up for his most powerful attack, charging all of his energy into a ball. Link gets himself into attack position.
Ganondorf: HaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Ganondorf unleashes his attack and a shower of beams head toward Link. Link sends them all back.
Ganondorf: So predictable.
However, the beams go pass Ganondorf.
Ganondorf: What?!
The beams head toward Zelda’s prison.
Navi: AAHHH!!
Navi flies out of the way. Zelda turns around and kneels down. She hugs Ash close to her chest, hard. The beams hit the diamond, and it explodes. Ganondorf is shocked.
Ganondorf: (Thinking) Curses! So that’s what he had planned.
Navi: NO! ASH! ZELDA!
Link: (To himself) I hope that was a smart move.
The smoke clears, and the barrier is gone. Zelda opens her eyes and sees that she’s free.
Link: Princess, are you all right?
Zelda: I’m fine.
Ganondorf is shocked,
Ganondorf: (Thinking) Oh, no. With Zelda free, I may not stand a chance.
Link takes his advantage of his distraction and does a vertical slash. Ganondorf blocks the attack. While he does so, Zelda uses her powers to hold him place.
Ganondorf: What?! No! I can’t move!
Zelda: Now’s your chance, Link! Finish him off!
Link charges up for a jump slash and strikes Ganondorf. Ganondorf is screaming in pain.
Ganondorf: GGGAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!
Zelda: Six sages, now! Seal this monster back in the Sacred Realm.
A white light is seen and Ganondorf gets sucked in.
Ganondorf: NO!! THIS ISN’T OVER!!! AS LONG AS THE TRIFORCE OF POWER IS IN MY HAND, I’LL NEVER DIE!!
The white light disappears.
Navi: We did it! The evil Ganondorf is once again, no more!
Zelda: Link, once again, I’m in your debt. You’ve gone through a lot, this time around. From being thrown into another dimension, only standing at three inches tall, to having to deal with Ganondorf and his monsters.
Navi: Actually, Zelda, you two are even. You helped him get home, and he saved the world.
Zelda: True.
Link: That reminds me, where’s the kid?
Navi: He was with Zelda during the incident, yet I didn’t see him while she was battling Ganondorf.
Zelda becomes shocked. She looks down and sees that he’s been stuck to her chest the entire time.
Zelda: Ash?
Zelda peels Ash off of her chest with her left hand and he falls into her right hand. A small body mark can be seen in the middle of her chest. His face is completely red and his eyes are very wide.
Zelda: I guess I squeezed him a little too close.
Navi: ………………………………
Link: Or perhaps you squeezed a little too hard.
Navi: ………………………………
Navi goes by Ash.
Navi: Hey! Snap out of it, Ash!
Ash: AAHH!! W-W-Wha--Where--
Navi: Good to see that you’re back to normal.
Ash: Where’s Ganondorf?
Link: Gone. Back into the Sacred Realm.
Ash: Awesome. (Thinking) *sighs* I’ve never felt so helpless.
Link and Zelda look down at Ash and realize why he’s sad.
Link: You want to go home, don’t you?
Ash becomes surprised.
Ash: Yes.
Zelda: Well, the portal was destroyed, but I can easily fix it.
Ash: Really?! That’s great. I’ll be home in no time. I can’t wait to see my friends again and tell them about this adventure. They all must be worried sick about me.
Zelda brings him close to her face.
Zelda: NOT SO FAST!!
Ash: Huh?
Zelda: You still have to keep your end of the promise.
Ash: Promise?
Navi: It’s time for the Hyrule Ball, sweetie!
Ash: What?! But--
Link: *laughs* Well, I hope that you two have a good time, tonight.
Ash: Hold on a minute! I never--
Link: Oh, by the way, I think this would be good for you.
Link gives Ash a green tunic that looks like Link’s.
Ash: Huh? What’s this?
Link: The creatures in the dimension I was in were nice enough to make me another one in case I didn’t make it back. But since I’m back to normal, I won’t need it.
Ash: *laughs weakly* Thank you. But I don’t think--
Navi: Oh, don’t act so nervous. *giggle*
Ash: But what about my--
Navi: *giggles* I’m sure that you’ll look wonderful. Plus, it’ll be like having two of my favorite men wrapped up into one.
Ash: WILL YOU GUYS LISTEN TO--
Link: So, we’ll see you tonight!
Navi: Until then, sweetie. *giggles*
Navi leaves with Link.
Ash: I CAN’T--
Zelda picks up Ash.
Zelda: So, let’s get going. I’ll take you back to my room to get changed.
Ash: (To himself) *groans* Why fight it?
Zelda: Is something wrong?
Ash: Uh, no. Nothing’s wrong. (Thinking) Good thing that Misty and May aren’t here to see me like this, otherwise things would be a lot worse. *shudders*
That night, everything was ready for the Hyrule Ball. Zelda and Ash are in Zelda’s room getting ready.
Zelda: So, are you feeling good about this Ash?
Ash: Not really. In fact, I’m very nervous. I mean, it’s nice to see how
things work in this dimension, but Navi…….
Zelda: Yes?
Ash: I’m not sure if I’m ready for this.
Zelda: Just relax. I know that Navi can be a bit hyper at times, but she’s never actually had the chance to really participate in this.
Ash: Aren’t there any male fairies that she could communicate with in these events?
Zelda: Yes.
Ash: Then why doesn’t she?
Zelda: That is a very complicated matter. I don’t fully understand it all myself.
Impa comes inside.
Impa: Your highness, Link and Navi have arrived.
Zelda: Okay. We’ll be out in a few minutes.
Impa leaves.
Zelda: Now, hold still while I get this outfit on you.
Ash: Wait a minute! I’m not a toy doll!
Zelda: Humor me.
Ash: Awww! Fine. (To himself) Like I have a choice anyway.
Zelda: What was that?
Ash: I said let’s get this underway.
Zelda: Oh, okay.
Zelda grabs the shirt.
Zelda: Arms up.
Ash raises his arms and Zelda puts the shirt on. Ash sits down. Zelda puts the boots and socks on his feet. Ash looks uncomfortable.
Ash: Excuse me, but could you turn around for a minute. I want to take off my other outfit.
Zelda: Fine. I won’t look.
Zelda turns around. Ash gets undressed and redresses himself in the green tunic.
Ash: All finished.
Zelda: Adorable. Now, I envy not having Link this small, because you look so adorable in his outfit.
Ash: Uh, I’ll take that as a sideways compliment. Let’s get going. Navi and Link are probably getting bored or worried.
Zelda grabs Ash and places him on her left shoulder.
Zelda: Please try to have a good time.
Ash: Don’t worry. I will. I promise. To be honest, I’m interested to see how things work in this dimension.
Zelda starts walking out of the room.
Ash: By the way, I’d like to apologize for my attitude earlier. It was uncalled for.
Zelda: That’s okay. You really miss your friends and want to get home.
Ash: Yeah, but then I realized that this event is once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
Zelda: *giggles* I’m glad to see that you’re excited about this.
Ash: (Thinking) Misty and Pikachu can wait a little longer
for me. First, it’s time to have fun.
Outside, Link & Navi can be seen. Navi is swooning over Ash in Link’s attire.
Link: Looking just as beautiful as ever.
Zelda: *giggles* Thanks.
Ash: So, shall we get started?
Zelda: Yes, we shall.
After the introductions and a few of the festivities, Ash is outside on the balcony of Hyrule Castle. People inside are still enjoying themselves.
Ash: Wow. I’ve never seen the sky so bright. The stars are looking awesome. Man, am I glad that I decided to come.
Navi: It is amazing, isn’t it?
Ash turns around to see Navi flying towards him.
Ash: Oh, hey Navi.
Navi: I thought that I’d find you here.
Navi sits next to Ash.
Navi: I’m surprised that you’re not inside with the others.
Ash: With all those people, I couldn’t risk getting stepped on. Besides, it’s a lot more peaceful out here.
Navi: Yeah.
Navi stares in the clouds. Ash looks at Navi.
Ash: Still, I’m glad that I came. I mean, it was interesting to see how festivities are done, and the food was awesome.
Navi: But you didn’t eat anything.
Ash: It still looked good.
Both of them look at the sky.
Ash: Navi, look!
Navi: Ah! Shooting stars!
Sure enough, shooting stars and fireworks were lighting up the nighttime sky. Ash is staring up into the sky. Navi looks over at Ash and thinks.
Navi: (Thinking) I wish that this moment would last forever. After tonight, I’ll never be able to see Ash again. I…..I don’t know if I’m ready for this…….
Zelda: You seem depressed.
Navi is surprised and turns around to find Zelda.
Ash: Hey, Zelda.
Navi: Why are you out here?
Zelda: I was looking around the castle for you. And look what I end up finding instead. *giggles*
Ash: Where’s Link?
Zelda: He stepped out. He’ll be joining us a little later.
Zelda looks at the sky.
Zelda: The stars are looking beautiful tonight.
All three of them look at the nighttime sky.
Zelda: The Hyrule Ball is just about over. The nighttime sky show was the last event. However, the Market will probably be flooded with people up until the early hours of the morning.
Ash: Hey, Navi?
Navi: Yes?
Ash: Are you feeling okay?
Navi: I’m fine.
Ash: Are you sure? It’s my last day here, and I’d like to know if--
Navi: Shh! Not another word.
Link: Did I miss anything?
They turn around to see Link.
Zelda: Not much, Link.
Link looks at the sky.
Link: The Hyrule Ball turned out to be very successful. Everyone in the Market was talking about how great it went. Plus, the fireworks show with the shooting stars was a great way to finish it up.
Zelda blushes and smiles. She walks up to Link.
Zelda: Thanks. *giggles*
They look at the stars and fireworks. Navi looks at those two, then she looks at Ash.
Navi: (Thinking) I’ve got to stop mopping. Like he said, it’s his last day here, and I think that he’d want me to enjoy myself.
Navi flies over to Ash.
Ash: Huh?
Navi: Sorry about my attitude.
Ash: Hey, it’s no problem.
Navi: Well, I’m sure that you can’t wait to get back home. I hope that your friends don’t get too angry with you being gone.
Ash: Thanks, Navi. I’m glad that you’re happy about this. I didn’t want to leave making anyone feel angry or sad at me.
Navi smiles.
Navi: You’re welcome.
They both turn to look at the stars and fireworks.
Early next morning, Zelda heads to the front of the castle with Ash, Navi, Link, and Impa. Ash is back in his normal attire. She uses her magic and opens the portal.
Zelda: Well, I guess this is it.
Navi cries and smiles.
Navi: I’ll miss you, Ash.
She flies over and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Ash blushes for about a minute.
Link: Well, it was nice knowing you, Ash.
Ash: I’ll never forget any of you.
Impa: For a small child to go through what you went through, I think it’ll be hard not to forget.
They all laugh.
Ash: Well, I should go. Good-bye.
Ash runs through the portal. Navi flies close and yells.
Navi: GOOD BYE, ASH!!! YOU’LL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART!!
The portal closes.
Inside the portal, Ash is once again, flying through the vastness of time and space. Thoughts are going through his mind. What will Misty and her sisters ask him? How did they do with the third individual who shrank to three inches? Most important of all, how is Pikachu doing? He sees the light and is heading for the end of the portal.
(Pokemon Dimension)
Ash makes it through the portal and sees Misty, Officer
Jenny, and Pikachu. By looking at them, he knows that he’s back to normal.
Misty: ASH!!
Pikachu: PIKA-PI!!
Ash: PIKACHU!!
Ash and Pikachu hug each other.
Misty: How did you make it?
Ash: It’s a long story.
Ash looks down and sees Sonic.
Ash: Hey, you’re the creature that I saw in my travel through the portal. Sonic The Hedgehog, am I right?
Sonic: Then you must be Ash Ketchum.
Ash: Yep.
Sonic: Tell me, did you end up in my dimension?
Ash: No, I ended up in another dimension.
Sonic: But then how did you know my name?
Ash: Some people, or creatures, from another dimension managed to contact the dimension that I was in. Those guys were asking about you. It turns out that your enemy--I think his name was Dr. Egghead?
Sonic: Eggman?
Ash: That’s it. He, with this guy named Ganondorf, who broke free from some
sort of magic prison, was able to combine their abilities, magic and science, to
create the portals. As of now, those two were already taken care of. Now,
we’ve managed to remake the portals.
Misty: How?
Ash: I’ll explain it later. Sonic, I’m sure that your friends will explain it to you when you get home.
Sonic: But won’t this portal send me to the dimension that you were in?
Ash: No, this will send you back home. Like I said, we’ve managed to reverse the process.
Misty walks over to Sonic and picks him up. She looks sad and starts getting teary-eyed.
Misty: I hope that you won’t forget about us.
Sonic: Definitely not. Even though I’ve had to deal with areas that I never expected, I still enjoyed myself. I don’t think that I’ll ever forget you or your sisters. That also includes you, Pikachu.
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Ash: Huh? What happened?
Misty: I’ll explain it to you, later.
She turns to Sonic.
Misty: Even if we never see each other again, just know that you’ll always be in our hearts.
Misty gives Sonic a kiss on his forehead. Sonic blushes a little.
Sonic: Well, I’ve got to go.
Sonic jumps off of Misty’s hand and dashes for the portal. He jumps in. Misty runs close and yells.
Misty: GOOD BYE, SONIC!!!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!!!
The portal closes.
Officer Jenny: Well, it’s nice to see you back to normal.
Ash: Thanks, Officer.
Misty: So, how was your adventure?
Ash: It was crazy.
Ash walks with the two ladies and Pikachu and they talk with each other about what happened.
A few days later, Ash walks out of the Cerulean Gym. Misty is there to greet him off.
Misty: Well, I wish you the best of luck in Sinnoh.
Ash: Thanks. Hopefully, things won’t be as crazy as what we went through.
Misty: I don’t know. I enjoyed it.
Ash: Of course YOU did. You never shrank to three inches.
Misty: *giggles* Still, you can’t say it was a total loss. I mean, you got to meet new friends and see a totally different world.
Ash: Well, yeah. There’s that.
Misty: Plus, that’s what you get in an adventure, the unexpected!
Ash smiles.
Ash: Yeah, I guess that you’re right. Now, it’s time for
us to set out on adventure, once again. Ready, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Misty: Good luck, and call back every now and then.
Ash: Sure thing.
Ash leaves.
Ash is seen on a boat with Pikachu.
Ash: Man, I can’t wait to get to Sinnoh. So many new Pokemon, and an entirely different region to explore.
Just then, his hat is blown off and caught by Aipom, who snuck onboard.
Ash: Aipom?!
Aipom: Aipom.
Ash: So, I guess that you wanted to come with us.
Aipom nods.
Ash: In that case, welcome aboard.
And so, off the three went, sailing to the Sinnoh region.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is next to the bottom of the boat, hanging on for their lives.
Jessie: There’s no way we’re letting you get away from us!
James: As long as that Pikachu is in your hands, we’ll never give up!
Meowth: And dis time, we don’t plan on--
A wave approaches them.
Meowth: --wipin’ out!!
The wave washes them off. Suffice it to say, as long as Team Rocket is around, Ash’s adventures will never end. For Ash and Link, this may have been one of the craziest adventures that they’ve ever been on. As for Sonic, it’s just another day in life.
