Spryte Gets Even

Chapter 1, written by Cubed Cinder

As Link looked out at Princess Zelda from his window, doing his best not to whistle again, Spryte sat on Link's shoulder watching everything. Of course, she wasn't afraid to once again try to win over Link's heart herself.
"Come on, Link, why do you keep putting up with Princess Zelda? I don't think she really loves you." Spryte said.
"Spryte, we've been through this over and over. You're only three inches high." Link said.
"And I still say size doesn't matter." Spryte said.
"Right. You sure there aren't any cute fairy boys in your land that you could find?" Link said.
"I could, but that's one problem being the princess of all Fairy Land..." Spryte said.

Before the discussion could continue, Link suddenly heard a knock on his door. He walked towards the door and opened it, and on the other side was Zelda's father and the king of Hyrule himself, King Harkinian.
"Oh, your majesty!" Link said.
"Greetings, young Link. We're just about to have dinner. Would you care to join us?" King Harkinian said.
"Well, sure. I have nothing better to do right now." Link said.
"Oh, very good! Zelda and I will see you shortly." King Harkinian said before he turned around and walked away.
"Well, Spryte, I guess you're guarding the Triforce of Wisdom again." Link said as he followed the king out the door. After he shut it behind him, Spryte just felt very annoyed, kicking the air in front of her.
"Hmph! The nerve of that Link. If only I were as tall as him, then maybe I wouldn't have to always refill his heart containers!" Spryte said. Without giving it much thought, Spryte flew out the window and left the glowing green Triforce all by itself.

A little later, Link arrived in the royal kitchen, where the king and Princess Zelda were already sitting with other servants preparing the food on the table.
"Ah, there is the mighty hero of our land." King Harkinian said.
"Mmmm... looks delicious! I'm glad you invited me to this dinner." Link said.
"And by the way, thank you for not whistling at me." Zelda said.
"Well, it's my pleasure to..." Link said, only to be interrupted by the princess.
"But do please try not to stare at me for as long as you did!" Zelda said with both a smirk and lowered eyebrows, showing she was both happy and mad at the same time.
"Well excuuuuuuuuse me, princess!" Link said as he sat down on the other side of the table across from Zelda. King Harkinian just laughed at the playful banter between the two.
"Oh, you two get along so well. Perhaps you two should think about a date one day." King Harkinian said. As Link was smiling at that thought, Zelda quickly changed the subject.
"Say, Daddy... don't you think it's strange that Ganon hasn't attacked us for almost two weeks now?" Zelda said.
"Come to think of it, she's right. Ganon and his minions have been awfully quiet. They haven't even tried stealing the Triforce." Link said.
"Hmmm... well, maybe he has finally given up and moved to another land." King Harkinian said.
"I wish it were that simple, but I know Ganon wouldn't give up that easily. He's gotta be planning something. Link, we'll have to be on our guard!" Zelda said.
"Hey, aren't I always?" Link said with his own playful smile.
"Sigh... right. Like I needed to ask." Zelda said.

Meanwhile, Spryte was making the long flight back to Fairy Land, probably to blow off some steam after getting shut out by Link once more.
"(sigh) Maybe Link's right. Maybe I should find someone of my type to engage. Huh?" Spryte said. As she was flying into the forest, she suddenly stopped in mid-air when she noticed something out of place.
"What? An Underworld entrance here?" Spryte said. Indeed, the familiar-looking entrance to Ganon's dark underground chambers had somehow sprouted up in the forest. Although there was no bright glow or anything else coming out, Spryte was still quite curious.
"Hmmm... I wonder what Ganon could be planning. I better check this out before notifying Link." Spryte said. The young and three-inch-tall fairy flapped its wings at high speed and flew into the entrance.

After a couple minutes of flying around, there was little activity to be had. There were the usual group of Moblins and Octoroks, but they seemed to be busy walking around the chambers.
It wasn't until Spryte flew all the way to the main chamber itself that piqued her interest.
"What? Where is Ganon?" Spryte said to herself. The evil lord indeed was not in the room, nor were any of his creatures except for those in the evil jar (and they couldn't do anything unless Ganon himself summoned them).
"That's odd. There's nobody guarding the Triforce of Power." Spryte said. As she flew up towards it, she looked over the glowing red piece of the Triforce.
"Boy, it sure would be nice to claim the Triforce of Power and end this whole battle once and for all. Hey, wait a second..." Spryte said. She took another look around the main chambers, realizing that nobody was there. Not even Ganon himself.
"There's no reason why I can't be the hero this day! Oh... but I'm much too small to take the whole Triforce. I suppose a little piece will have to do for now." Spryte said. She then held both her hands out and fired a thin green beam at one of the corners of the Triforce. She moved the beam slowly around the edge.
"Stop! Young child, you cannot comprehend the full power of me!" the Triforce of Power shouted.
"Oh, quit whining! What can you do? You're just a part of the Triforce!" Spryte said. Finally, she cut off her slicing beam when she saw a piece of the Triforce fall onto the floor. It was just enough for Spryte to pick and carry with both her arms as she flew down and picked it up. Despite this, it was still pretty heavy.
"Oof! This thing is heavy! Still, I have to get out of here before any monsters notice me!" Spryte said as she took off flying in the same direction she came in.

Little did she realize that the Triforce of Power fragment she carried with her was already changing her body.
"Hmmm... that's strange. It feels like this piece is losing weight." Spryte said. But she didn't stop to check on the piece. She knew she had to get out of the Underworld before Ganon found her. If he didn't know she was there, he would definitely come for her once he saw the chip on his Triforce. As the fragment continued to 'lose weight,' Spryte was able to hold the piece now in her hands.

Finally, she noted the changes as she flew out of the Underworld entrance. First, there was the fact the Triforce piece was no bigger than an earring now.
"Huh? What happened? The shard shrunk!" Spryte said. She covered up her mouth when she heard her voice change significantly. No longer did she sound like the typical female fairy, she sounded more like a young woman.
"My... my voice!" Spryte said. She then looked down at the ground, especially at the grass that she was standing on with her bare feet. The grass shouldn't be this small, she thought. And when she walked near a sign that told travelers which way it was to North Castle, she was twice the size of this sign, when normally it would tower over her.
"No... I think I'm the one that's grown bigger. And this must be what did it..." Spryte said as she looked down at the now tiny fragment of the Triforce of Power.
"My goodness! This is incredible! Now I can stand up to all those nasty monsters! And... and there's no way Link can argue I'm too short now!!! I have to get back to the castle!" Spryte shouted, suddenly beaming with excitement at the possibilities that faced her now. She flapped her wings and started to fly back at the castle, and at her new size, that didn't take long at all.

In the town that surrounded North Castle, Spryte stopped in mid-air and landed on the ground to compare her size with the humans that once towered over her.
"Wow... I'm as tall as almost every one of these people." Spryte said. Some people took a look at the enlarged fairy, but ultimately that was all the reaction that she was going to get. There had been legends going around of human-sized fairies called Great Fairies that brought great luck and prosperity to towns they visited, and perhaps this was one of those occasions. However, Spryte ended up bumping into a young woman, who dropped her basket of apples and looked angry with the enlarged fairy.
"Hey, watch where you're going, you klutz!" the woman shouted.
"Oh... please forgive me, miss! I should've been watching where I was going!" Spryte said.
"Hmmm? A fairy? Isn't it early for you to be dressing up, young lady? The costume ball isn't until next month!" the woman shouted before gathering up all her apples and walking away.
"Hmph... pretty rude if you ask me. But never mind that. I need to get back in Link's room." Spryte said as she looked up at the tower where Link made his home, along with the Triforce of Wisdom. She flapped her wings and easily flew up and into the window.

When she got back inside, Link was nowhere to be found. At least not at that moment. A few seconds later, Spryte heard Link calling out from outside the door.
"Okay, Spryte, I'm back!" Link said. Spryte gasped, but quickly thought of a way to break the news to Link.
"Oh... I can't wait to see the look on his face." Spryte said. She then flapped her wings and flew into the air, hovering herself completely above the door. She watched as it swung open and Link walked his way in.
"Whew... man, you missed one delicious buffet, Spryte, and... huh?" Link said. He looked around the room and didn't see Spryte anywhere.
"Huh? Spryte? Where are you? Are you hiding from me again?" Link asked.
"Of course not. I'm right here, my Link." Spryte said, trying her best to imitate her old voice back when she was regular-sized.
"Wait? Where? I can't see you. And what happened to your voice? You're not catching a cold again, are you?" Link said. Finally, Spryte stopped with the hiding game and landed on her bare feet, closing the door behind her. When Link heard said door being shut, that's when he turned around and got his first look at the bigger Spryte.
"See? I told you I was right here." Spryte said with a smile on her face.
"Yikes! Spryte, is that you?" Link said.
"Teehee... yep! I finally grew up, didn't I?" Spryte said.
"Y...Yes, you did? But how?" Link asked.
"Thanks to the Triforce of Power. I managed to sneak off with a little piece while you were off eating with that snotty princess Zelda." Spryte said as she showed the fragment of the Triforce of Power to Link.
"The Triforce of Power!? Spryte! Are you out of your mind!? You didn't try to confront Ganon, did you!?" Link said, sounding angry right now.
"Nope, he was nowhere to be found. Finders keepers, right?" Spryte said.
"Well, he's going to find out eventually, and who knows what else that little piece will do to you... especially how evil Ganon is!" Link said.

"Hmmph... so this is how you want to play it? Treat me like I'm some bag of dirt while you're off trying to kiss up with Zelda!?" Spryte shouted.
"Wait, Spryte, I didn't say that..." Link said.
"You didn't have to! You're angry with me just like if I were a fairy! You just don't understand what it's like to be a fairy like I used to be." Spryte said.
"Well... sure I do! Remember that one time we restored the water supply to the fairy land?" Link said.
"Don't you lie to me! You've never gotten the feeling of being small compared to everyone else. NEVER!! I think it's time we changed that." Spryte said. Suddenly tossing aside the fragment, Spryte put her hands together and scanned her head for a spell she could cast to humiliate Link.

As she scanned, one of the first spells she saw herself casting was... a shrinking spell? She didn't know she had that kind of spell. Had the Triforce of Power fragment caused her to gain some new powers on top of the new size? Either way, it was the perfect spell, she thought. She thrust her hands towards, and a thin beam struck Link in the chest. Link fell to the ground, unable to dodge the beam. At the very same time, Link started to shrink.
"Huh? What's going on!?" Link said. His first thought was that Spryte was growing even bigger, but one look around the room told him the true story.
"No!" Link shouted, fear running through both his veins and his voice as he wondered how small he was going to shrink. But at three inches tall, the same size Spryte was once cursed to, he stopped shrinking. And he could only watch as the now gigantic Spryte approached him, planting her feet just short of the now tiny hero.
"Hmmhmm. So, how does it feel now?" Spryte asked with a smile on her face.
"Come on, Spryte, this isn't funny anymore! Change me back!" Link said.
"Nope! I think you need to be like that for a little while. Besides..." Spryte said. She then reached down and picked up the shrunken Link, holding him in her hands.
"You just look so cute being that small!" Spryte said. She then used the fingers from her other hand to poke him in the chest.
"Hey, cut it out!" Link shouted.

Just then, there was another knock on the door. Spryte recognized the voice on the other side belonging to Princess Zelda.
"Link, can I talk to you for a moment?" Zelda said.
"Well, speak of the fairy. I was planning on having a word with Zelda, but now she comes to me." Spryte said. Link was already getting a bad feeling about what Spryte was planning.
"Wait, Spryte! No, you wouldn't!" Link said.
"Just watch me, my little hero." Spryte said. She closed up her hand into a fist, trapping Link inside and hiding him from view. Spryte then opened the door but hid behind it so it would appear nobody was on the other side. Zelda noticed this as she walked inside and looked around the room.
"Huh? Link? Where are you?" Zelda said, "Okay, hotshot. Quit fooling around. I know what you're trying to do."

Finally, just like with Link, Spryte shut the door and stood in front of it.
"Hi, princess!" Spryte said happily. Zelda turned around and gasped when she saw the human-sized Spryte standing there.
"Spryte? Is that you?" Zelda asked.
"Yep, it sure is! What do you think?" Spryte said.
"But... what happened? How did you grow that big? And where is Link?" Zelda said.
"Well, I can tell you where Link is. Better yet, I'll show you." Spryte said. That's when she opened up the fist and showed off the shrunken Link. Zelda gasped yet again as she approached him.
"Link! What happened?" Zelda asked.
"Zelda, get out of here! It's a trap!" Link shouted as he waved his arms frantically. The next thing Zelda knew, she was staring at a bright light that was forming from Spryte's other hand.
"What the...!?" Zelda said.
"You wonder how he shrunk? Don't worry, I can show you!" Spryte said. Before Zelda could make a move, the beam hit her right in the chest. Although Zelda was knocked backwards, she didn't fall to the ground like Link did earlier. Still, she watched as the entire room got bigger and bigger. Including of course Spryte.

Zelda was now the same three inches tall that Link was, and could only scream in fear as she saw Spryte walk up towards her.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Zelda screamed. She was so petrified from her new size, she couldn't even try to dodge Spryte as she lowered her free hand and closed it around Zelda. It was a familiar feeling for Zelda, having been trapped in the hands of a giant monster before. But this time, it was a giant fairy that held both her and Link.
"Teeheehee!! Oh, I'm going to have so much fun with you two under my wings!" Spryte said, showing a happy smile on her face. Link and Zelda were definitely not smiling; they could only wonder what sort of plans the newly-crafted giantess had for them.

Spryte walked over to Link's bed and sat herself down, placing both her shrunken toys on top of her legs. Spryte giggled as she looked down at Link and Zelda.
"Oh... I've always dreamed of a scenario like this, and now it has become real thanks to that piece of the Triforce of Power!" Spryte said.
"Spryte, you have to turn us back! It can't be this way forever!" Zelda shouted.
"She's right! Ganon is eventually gonna find out you messed with his Triforce, after all." Link said.
"Oh, put a sock in it! I feel so powerful and in charge for the first time ever. And for my first game, I want to two to feel what it's like being a fairy." Spryte said.
"What? You mean this shrinking isn't enough?" Link said.
"Of course not, Link. You've got a fly like a fairy too!" Spryte said. And with that, she pointed a finger down at Link and Zelda and allowed some magic dust to flow around the two. Suddenly, they started to lift up in the air with nothing to suggest they were being helped up.
"Spryte... what are you doing!?" Zelda shouted.
"Heehee! It's going to be a wild ride!" Spryte said. She moved her fingers around, and Zelda and Link flew around to wherever they were pointing. Both heroes came very close to crashing into a bunch of objects as they was flying uncontrollably through the air.
"Whoaaaaaa!!! Come on, Spryte, this isn't funny!" Link shouted shouted when he was about to slam head-on into a dresser, but Spryte was able to steer him away.
"Ugh... I'm getting dizzy..." Zelda said as she tried to keep herself from regurgitating in mid-air.

Finally, Spryte cast a reversal spell and the two fell back onto Link's bed. Link and Zelda both looked worn out as they slowly looked up at Spryte, and why not? They just went for the ride of their lives. Spryte couldn't help but giggle once again.
"Enjoy the ride, my little ones?" Spryte said.
"Very funny, Spryte..." Link said. They then were picked up by the giantess fairy again, and this time set on the floor a few yards away from her feet.
"Okay, now we're going to play hide and seek. I'll cover my eyes and count to 20 while you two find a place to hide." Spryte said.
"Spryte..." Zelda said.
"Okay, here I go! 1, 2, 3..." Spryte said as she turned around and covered her eyes.

Link wasn't going to waste any time.
"Come on, Zelda, let's find a good place to hide." Link said. He grabbed Zelda by one of her hands, but she pulled it right out and now had a very angry look on her face.
"NO!! This is all your fault, Link! If you hadn't been such a self-serving pig and tried to kiss me all the time, Spryte wouldn't do this to us!!!" Zelda shouted.
"Oh, so it's my fault?" Link argued back.
"Yes it is! Don't you dare deny it!! You're no hero at all, you're just a total jerk with no regards to other people's feelings!" Zelda shouted.
"Well excuuuuuuse me, princess..." Link said. Zelda held her hands above her head and just plain snapped.
"Arrrrrrgh!!! I hate you, I hate you, I HATE YOU!!!!" Zelda shouted as she reached back and slapped Link in the face. Link fell to the ground because it was such a hard slap. He got up and rubbed his face, but didn't say anything.

"18... 19..." Spryte continued to count, but slowed down and lowered her voice so she could listen to the verbal confrontation. It definitely didn't sound positive, especially when she heard Zelda scream how much she hated Link right now. This was not how she imagined winning Link's love, and a rift between the two would probably hurt their battle with Ganon. Spryte turned around and stepped toward the tiny duo, her feet stopping very close to them.
"Hmmm... this will not do at all. Hyrule doesn't need you two to be fighting right now." Spryte said. Then what she did next was a surprise to both. Spryte gently kicked Zelda to the floor with her left foot.
"Ack!" Zelda shouted. As soon as she landed flat on her back, Spryte pinned her to the ground with that same foot.
"Spryte!!" Link shouted as he watched Spryte pin Zelda under her foot.
"Come on, Princess Zelda, apologize to Link now." Spryte said.
"Ow! Ow!!!" Zelda shouted.
"That's enough, Spryte!" Link said. Finally not able to take being pushed around by this newly created giantess, Link pulled out his sword and fired out a couple beams up at her.

But as predicted, the beams had little effect on Spryte. All they did was tickle her, or at least she was pretending the beams tickled her.
"Heehehee! That tickles! Now it's my turn to strike." Spryte said. Using her other foot, she very cleverly knocked Link's sword out of his hands with her big toe.
"Not so heroic now without your sword, are you, my little Link?" Spryte asked with a smile on her face. Meanwhile, Zelda continued to cry out in pain as Spryte's foot pressed her against the ground harder than she was accustomed to.
"Ahhhh! HELP!! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Zelda shouted.
"I'm glad you finally got the hint." Spryte said. She then lifted her foot up and allowed Zelda to (slowly) move around again. But not for long when Spryte picked up the two again.
"I'm sorry for being so rough, but that's what happens when you don't see things my way. And speaking of seeing my way..." Spryte said. She then very slowly moved Link towards her lips.
"Oh man!" Link said as he tried to fight it off, but it wasn't doing any good. Spryte clearly was gonna finally give Link the kiss she had wanted to give him (that one time when Link was a frog doesn't count).

But just like with Link, both bad timing and bad luck contributed to Spryte being unable to deliver that kiss, because two familiar voices called out to her.
"Spryte!"
"Hey sis!" Spryte suddenly pulled Link away and held both heroes close to her chest. She turned around and saw her father, King Oberon, as well as her sister, Kola, flying in through the window.

[NOTE from BiggerBetterBarbie: The name of Spryte's sister was never mentioned on the show, so I made one up! ^____^]

"Oh, Kola! Father!" Spryte said.
"Well, I knew something had changed today, so I came flying from the Fairy Kingdom to see you!" Oberon said.
"Wow, sis! You've really grown up!" Kola said.
"Teeheehee, I guess I have, and it's all thanks to the Triforce of Power." Spryte said.
"The Triforce of Power? How did you get that!?" Kola asked.
"Well, not the whole thing, just one piece. But I guess it was enough!" Spryte said, gently patting her sister on the head with her finger.
"Are you sure your size was all that was affected, my child?" Oberon said.
"Well... my magic does feel much more powerful. Just watch!" Spryte said. She fired a small laser beam from her fingers, and it made a small hole in the nearby wall.
"Oh wow! Very nice!" Kola said.
"Hey, where are Link and Zelda? Aren't they here?" Oberon asked.
"They're right here, father!" Spryte said.
"Oh my gosh! They're our size, your majesty!" Kola said.
"Yep! I shrunk them so they could get a feel for what life used to be like. They seem to be enjoying it very much." Spryte said with a smile. Link was about to comment negatively on the situation, but Zelda was able to bump him on the head and jumped in.
"Yes... yes, we are learning so much from this new experience. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it, Spryte." Zelda said.
"But how am I going to massage you like I always do when you visit, sis!?" Kola said.
"Well, you can still massage. It'll just take more of you! In fact... um... could you help out too, father?" Spryte said.
"Say no more, my child! I will do anything for my children." Oberon said. Spryte was a bit surprised by his answer, but maybe it was because he didn't want to get into an argument with his now giant-sized daughter.
Spryte then walked over to Link's bed and after placing the tiny Link and Zelda down near the pillows, Spryte laid down flat on her stomach, with Oberon and Kola flying overhead.
"Now, you think you two can give me a good massage?" Spryte said. Link and Zelda just looked at each other.
"We really don't have a choice, do we?" Zelda asked.
"Oh, this could get real ugly." Link said, thinking of the hard work he was about to do. That's when Spryte picked up Link and placed him by her bare feet. She picked up Zelda and put her on the back of her right leg. Kola joined up with Zelda on the other leg. King Oberon flew down directly onto Spryte's back.
"Okay everyone, get massaging!" Spryte shouted.

And so, for the next few minutes, everyone rubbed as best as they could at whatever part of Spryte's body they were at. Despite being at her feet, Link didn't have to worry about any bad odors coming from between the toes, which he concentrated on the most. Zelda and Kola both kinda marched up and down Spryte's legs trying to comfort them. King Oberon did by far the least amount of work, but Spryte wasn't about to push around her father like she was the others.

Eventually, after a comfortable moan or two, Spryte felt she was massaged enough. She sat up on Link's bed, nearly crushing Link and Zelda but Kola was there to save the two.
"Mmmm... that was great! I've never felt such a great massage before even though I'm so big!" Spryte said.
"Haha! Everyone worked so hard for you, my daughter." Oberon said.
"Yes, I feel so full of energy. Maybe I'm little more powerful too. In fact, I could probably take on Ganon!" Spryte said. Now there was something all four tiny people in the room could disagree with together.
"Spryte, NO! You may be our former size, but you don't have the battle experience!" Zelda said.
"She's right... you haven't encountered Ganon like we have before! And that's just a little piece of the Triforce of Power you have. He has the rest of it!" Link said.
"Hmph! You don't know that for sure. Besides, I have all these magic spells with me... including the shrinking spell I used on you two! I can defeat Ganon and take the rest of the Triforce with my eyes closed!" Spryte shouted.
"Now, Spryte. We need to think about this rationally. Link and Zelda may have strong points." Oberon said.
"I agree. You shouldn't do this, sis!" Kola shouted.
"Nope... my mind is made up. Father! Kola! I want you two to watch my little friends as well as the Triforce of Wisdom. I'm going to defeat Ganon and finally bring peace to Hyrule!" Spryte said. She then got up and walked towards the window, almost crashing into the flying Kola (but she flew out of the way just in time). After placing her feet on the windowsill, Spryte started flapping her wings and was flying through the air. She ignored all the pedestrians that were looking up at her and concentrated on returning to the same Underworld entrance she flew through before.

Chapter 3, written by Cubed Cinder

After Spryte had left the room, Oberon and Kola debated Spryte's thinking, whether it was the right move to make or not.
"Oh... I'm already worried about my sister. I hope she's not leading herself into a trap!" Kola said.
"I wouldn't worry, my child. If Spryte says she feels her many magic spells being heightened on top of her size as a result of our massaging, then perhaps she can pull it off." Oberon said.
"Arrrgh! We have to do something. We can't just sit here, we have to help Spryte!" Link said.
"I know... if only there was some way for us to return to our normal size. Some kind of magic spe... wait, that's it!" Zelda said.
"What is, princess?" Link asked.
"The Triforce of Wisdom. I can cast any spell I want as long as I am near it. I can use it to wish us back to our normal size!" Zelda said.
"Good thinking! But... how do we get up there?" Link asked. Zelda had heard the concern in Kola's voice... she knew she was just as concerned for Spryte's well being.
"Just a little persuasion." Zelda said. She made a leap from Link's bed and landed on the floor. She then called Kola by her name, and the fairy girl promptly flew down to join her.

"Kola... I understand your concern about Spryte, I share the same feeling. If you can help me, I can grow back to normal size and help save her." Zelda said.
"I don't know... the king said not to worry about her, and she does have a lot of magic." Kola said.
"But it's no guarantee Spryte will be safe. Please, Kola... I need your help." Zelda said.
"Yes, you're right. What do I have to do?" Kola said.
"Just fly me to the Triforce of Wisdom, and I'll take it from there." Zelda said.
"Okay!" Kola shouted. After casting a quick spell and waving her dust onto Zelda, the two women were flying up towards the glowing green gem that was the Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda landed on the very top of it and concentrated.
"Triforce of Wisdom, please lend me your power once more..." Zelda said.

After her body glowed green for several seconds, Zelda opened her eyes and leapt off from the Triforce. Both Link and Kola gasped thinking Zelda was going to land hard and hurt herself... but the princess instantly grew back to her normal size, landing safely on her two feet. King Oberon was startled to see Zelda back to her original size.
"Oh, Princess Zelda! I see you are back to your normal self!" Oberon said.
"Yes, I am, and we're going to protect your daughter, your majesty. But first..." Zelda said. She walked towards the bed and was about to pick up the tiny Link.
"Hey, wait up, princess!" Link said.
"What do you want?" Zelda said.
"Maybe you could give me a BIG kiss before we head out?" Link said. Zelda just smiled as she wrapped her hand around Link and picked him up.
"Nice try, hero." Zelda said. She then walked over to the Triforce of Wisdom and placed Link on top of it. After another few seconds, Zelda took Link and placed him on the ground where he too grew back to his normal size.
"(sigh) Well, at least I tried." Link said.
"Come on, we better hurry and catch up with Spryte!" Zelda said.
"Wait, we want to come too!" Kola said.
"No! I want you two to stay here and guard the Triforce of Wisdom." Zelda said before she walked out of Link's room.
"Well, you heard the lady." Link said with a smile before he followed Zelda out of the room.

After flying into the Underworld tunnel entrance, Spryte zapped away any monsters she ran into, namely Moblins and Stalfos, and was able to make it all the way to the same large chamber where Ganon normally rested. Inside, of course, was the many different prison cells, the evil jar, and the all important Triforce of Power. The rest of it, I should add. Spryte smiled as she landed on the ground and looked down at the fragment that was in her hands and then at the Triforce.
"Ahhh... soon I'll have all the power of the Triforce of... well, Power! And Hyrule will be at peace at long last." Spryte said.
"Hahahaha!! As I predicted!" a familiar evil voice echoed throughout the chamber. When Spryte turned around to where the voice came from, Ganon was standing there, and behind him a group of Moblins and Stalfos.
"The thief returns to the scene of the crime, as I had forseen." Ganon said.
"Ganon! I was wondering when you'd show yourself!" Spryte shouted.
"My my, look at our little fairy child. She's grown up!" Ganon said. Spryte could easily tell the cocky look on his face.
"Ha! You won't be so full of it when I'm through with you! I will accomplish what Link and Zelda couldn't!" Spryte said.
"Strong words, child, but can you back them up? Get them, my minions!" Ganon said, allowing his Moblins and Stalfos to charge forward.

Spryte wasn't fazed. She weaved her way around the room, casting various spells to defeat the monsters. She even cast her shrinking spell again and stomped out a couple of the monsters (even though they just re-appeared in the evil jar later). She cast various other spells using only one hand since her left hand was tasked with holding the Triforce of Power fragment.

But as Ganon anticipated, all the minions were defeated and floating around in the evil jar. It was just him and Spryte now.
"Ha! Your monsters have failed you, Ganon, once again!" Spryte said.
"Yes, I suppose they have. It's just you and me now." Ganon said.
"Indeed, but let's see how your luck will go when I shrink you to the size of an ant!" Spryte said. Spryte waved her hands around and fired the same thin red beam that shrunk Link and Zelda earlier. Ganon, instead of dodging or even teleporting away from the blast, just stayed still. In fact, he allowed the beam to strike him! Spryte smiled as she waited to see Ganon shrink in size...

...but nothing happened.

"Huh? What?" Spryte said. Ganon just laughed lightly.
"Hmmhmm... very good. Do you know any other tricks?" Ganon asked.
"But... that can't be! Well, try a lightning bolt for a change!" Spryte shouted. She fired a rather intense lightning bolt from her hands... but once again Ganon was not affected. Even worse, Ganon was actually walking towards Spryte while getting struck by the lightning bolt. Eventually, Ganon was done playing around. He teleported behind Spryte, and while the enlarged fairy was looking around trying to find Ganon, she was struck from behind and fell down to the floor. The fragment that was in her hands came flying out and bounced on the floor.
"Silly child! Any magic created by the Triforce of Power does not affect me. My magic is all thanks to the Triforce of Power!!" Ganon shouted. He then walked past the downed Spryte and picked up the fragment that was dropped. Using his magic, he merged the piece back with the Triforce of Power, making it whole again. Spryte was slowly getting back up to try and attack Ganon again.
"And your magic... without this fragment, is reduced to the fairy you once were!" Ganon said. He shot out his own powerful laser, and Spryte screamed out in pain as she was struck by it.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Spryte shouted. When the laser was gone, Spryte collasped down to her knees. She knew her best course of action was to retreat... but she couldn't feel her wings moving. And for good reason. When Spryte patted her own back, there was something important missing.
"My... my wings! Where are my wings!?" Spryte shouted.
"Hahaha! Now you're nothing without your precious wings." Ganon said. Spryte tried to attack again, but found herself lacking the strength to move at all. Suddenly, more Moblins suddenly appeared to grab Spryte by the shoulders.
"Ugh... you won't... you won't get away with this!" Spryte said.
"What do we do with her, your evilness?" one of the Moblins asked.
"Let's destroy her!" another shouted.
"No! Link and Zelda will surely come to rescue their friend. In fact, don't put up a fight. Let them come straight to their doom! Here's what I want you to do..." Ganon shouted.

Meanwhile, Link and Zelda, after riding their horses towards the Underworld entrance, which luckily enough was the same one that Spryte entered, the two heroes were carefully making their way inside. They've found very little resistance so far; much less than they were accustomed to. And this really bothered Zelda.
"I don't like this, Link. It's like Ganon is letting us into his chamber and leading us to a trap." Zelda said.
"Well, it's better than not doing anything at all and letting Spryte suffer. Sigh... maybe you're right, Zelda. Maybe I should've paid more attention to her." Link said.
"We can play the blame game later. Just stay alert." Zelda said.

Finally, Link and Zelda made it to Ganon's chambers, where they saw the villain standing in front of his Triforce of Power.
"Hahaha! Welcome, Link and Zelda. I'm so glad you could make it to my party." Ganon said.
"Alright, Ganon. Where is Spryte!? We know she's been here." Link said as he pointed his sword at Ganon.
"Ahhhh, I must say your friend has obtained quite the growth spurt, but she still couldn't stay out of trouble." Ganon said as he pointed up above the evil jar behind him. Link and Zelda both gasped when they both saw Spryte, all tied up and dangling right over the jar itself.
"Spryte!" Zelda shouted.
"Link! Zelda! I'm sorry... Ganon took my wings." Spryte said.
"I've taken back the Triforce fragment that is rightfully mine! In a few minutes she'll revert back to her normal size, with nowhere to go but straight into my royal army of evil! Unless you hand me the Triforce of Wisdom, of course." Ganon said.
"Never in a million years, hog face!" Link said.
"Ha! Your friend doesn't have much time. Get through me and maybe she will have a chance." Ganon said. With a snap of his fingers, a group of monsters (including the usual Moblins and Stalfos) appeared in front of Ganon with weapons ready.

This didn't bother Link and Zelda, having gone through this many times before. Zelda, as she magically summoned a bow from her belt, already had her own plan of attack in mind.
"I'll handle these goons. You go after Ganon and rescue Spryte." Zelda said.
"On it, princess!" Link said. The two then charged towards the charging monsters. Link made a mighty leap over all of them, with Zelda staying behind and using her bow as a sword to combat against the monsters. Link landed on his two feet and approached Ganon, who magically made his own sword.
"Hah! Your toy sword cannot match up with a real sword like mine!" Ganon shouted.
"We'll see, Ganon!" Link said as the two started their sword duel.

===

The battle lasted a few minutes. Link and Ganon were evenly matched, but Zelda was quickly weeding down the army that was summoned. She also kept track of both Link, with his battle against Ganon, and also Spryte, who was one shrink back to her normal size away from becoming a lifelong servant of Ganon. At almost the last minute, Zelda saw one of the Stalfos pulling out a spike bomb, but she quickly zapped him away with a magic arrow from her bow.

Despite their best efforts, Spryte's body started to glow red. Ganon looked up and knew the time had come.
"Ha! You're too late!" Ganon shouted. Indeed, Spryte instantly shrunk back to her original size of three inches tall. Spryte tried to grab the rope as a last ditch effort, but she was too late.
"Eeeeeeeeeeek!!!" Spryte shouted as she fell straight for the evil jar.

Just as Zelda defeated the last of Ganon's group of monsters with her bow, she looked up and didn't see Spryte tied to the rope anymore. That's when she glanced down and saw she had shrunken back to her original size and was falling into the evil jar. She had to act fast, and so she reached for her belt and yanked off the boomerang.
"Spryte, grab on!!" Zelda shouted as she threw the boomerang hard towards the top of the jar. Luckily, Zelda was right on target and Spryte was able to fall on top of the boomerang as it came across. Spryte's life was saved, but she had to hold on for the wildest ride of her life. Link's look of worry quickly changed to both relief and excitement.
"Nice toss, Zelda!" Link shouted.

Zelda caught the boomerang with one hand and allowed the little Spryte to fall onto her other hand.
"Spryte? Are you okay?" Zelda asked.
"Y...y...yeah, I... t-t-t-think so." Spryte said as she struggled to speak clearly because of her head spinning.
"Good. Hold on tight, we gotta help Link." Zelda said as she gently placed Spryte on her shoulder. She also put away the boomerang and rearmed herself with her bow and arrows.

Ganon watched as Spryte was spared from his evil jar at the last moment and cursed his bad luck.
"Blast!" Ganon shouted. While he was distracted over his failing, Link saw the opportunity he needed and he zapped an energy bolt from his sword. Ganon was struck in the shoulder and he held a hand over it as his sword disappeared.
"Ha! See what happens when you take your eye off the prize?" Link said.
"We'll see how cocky you are when I've melted you to a crisp!" Ganon shouted. He was about to use his fire spell on Link, but instead his hand got hit by a speeding magic arrow. Ganon looked and saw Zelda standing beside Link with bow in hand.
"Now it's two against one, Ganon! Admit defeat!" Zelda said.
"One more zap and you're de-energized, Ganon!" Link said.
"Arrrrgh! Not if I take you two down first!!" Ganon shouted. He then shot a couple energy beams up at the rocky ceiling, and as soon as contact was made, the whole thing started to come down. Link and Zelda backed away to avoid being crushed by the rocks, with Link watching from the corner of his eye as Ganon teleported away.
"Time to go, princess!" Link said. Zelda looked to see the rocks were already covering up the Triforce of Power, so there was no chance this time to grab it.
"Right! Hold on, Spryte!" Zelda said. With Spryte doing just that as she clutched onto Zelda's shoulder, the two heroes got away just as Ganon's chambers completely caved in.

The two heroes made it out right as the Underworld entrance crumbled to pieces. Link and Zelda watched as the entrance broke apart and clouds of dust spread throughout the forest.
"Whew... thank goodness we got out just in time." Zelda said.
"Darn it, it's just like Ganon to bring his house down just as we're winning!" Link shouted.
"Oh well, never mind that. Everything's back to normal now." Zelda said.
"Well, almost everything." Link said, pointing towards Spryte who was back in Zelda's hands. Spryte was no longer dizzy from the boomerang ride, but she felt like she was gonna be in a world of trouble as she looked up at both Zelda and Link. She had a sad look on her face as she finally spoke out.
"I'm so sorry, everyone. I... there's no excuse... I let the power of that fragment go to my head. Please, Zelda, allow me to serve whatever punishment you feel is necessary." Spryte said.

But Zelda just smiled.
"Don't worry about it, Spryte. It could've happened to anyone. Ganon has corrupted the Triforce of Power with his evil." Zelda said.
"Something that one day we'll put an end to, no matter what it takes." Link said.
"You're... you're not going to punish me?" Spryte asked.
"Nope! In fact, we better get you back to North Castle. Your father and sister are quite worried!" Zelda said.
"But what about my wings?" Spryte asked.
"Leave that to me. I can heal any wounds thanks to the Triforce of Wisdom. You'll be back to flying in no time." Zelda said. As the two heroes, with Spryte in Zelda's hands, walked the path back to North Castle, Link suddenly remembered something.

"Hey, Zelda, how about a kiss?" Link asked.
"Huh? For what?" Zelda asked.
"You know, for being a hero once again saving everyone from Ganon." Link said with a smile. Zelda was gonna say no right away like she usually does, but remembered how this whole mess got started as she looked down at Spryte.
"Sure, you can have a kiss." Zelda said with a smile.
"Oh boy!" Link shouted.
"But you have to close your eyes first!" Zelda said.
"Okay, if you insist." Link said as he stopped walking and closed his eyes.
"Pucker up. Here it comes!" Zelda said. Then... Zelda moved her hands towards Link's face until Spryte was within reach. Despite the size difference, Spryte planted her lips on as much of Link's face as she could.

When Link opened his eyes and saw Spryte near him, he backed away.
"Hey! Spryte!" Link shouted.
"Teeheehee! Thank you, you two! I've been wanting to do that for a long time!" Spryte shouted.
"Well, there's your kiss, hero!" Zelda said.
"Awww... come on, princess! I meant from you!" Link shouted.
"You said *A* kiss, and that was it. Hehehe!" Zelda giggled as she ran off towards North Castle. Link realized he had been tricked once again, by the princess of Hyrule of all people... again!
"Well excuuuuuse me, princess!" Link shouted as he ran after the lovely princess.
