- Spirits are a new feature of this game that grant characters attached to them certain stat changes designed to mimic the traits of the spirit's character. Some of these Spirits carry 'Giant' status that enlarges your character at the start of the match like they had touched a Super Mushroom. Another handy status change is 'Transformation Duration Up' which lengthens the time any transformation (size, metal, bunny, etc.) lasts for that character. To unlock Persona spirits, you must have purchased Challenger Pack 1 (aka the Joker DLC) or the Fighters Pass.
To unlock Dragon Quest spirits, you must have purchased Challenger Pack 2 (aka the Hero DLC) or the Fighters Pass.
To unlock Banjo-Kazooie spirits, you must have purchased Challenger Pack 3 (aka the Banjo-Kazooie DLC) or the Fighters Pass.
To unlock Fatal Fury and Samurai Shodown spirits, you must have purchased Challenger Pack 4 (aka the Terry DLC) or the Fighters Pass.
