In this guide, you can find out how to replace Bowser in the final battle of New Super Mario Bros. Wii with Bowsette... and yes, this includes when Kamek enlarges her for the final chase as you can see in the above video!
First, you will need the
following:
1) Any Wii or Wii U console (except for Wii Mini as that cannot be modified at
all)
2) A physical copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii
3) An SD card of any size (and a way to read those cards on your computer)
Your Wii (or Wii U in Wii backwards compatibility mode) needs to already have the Homebrew Channel installed. If you don't have that channel installed, follow this guide. Note that you can only use 'Smash Stack' or other save game exploits to install Homebrew Channel on a Wii U.
Now download the following:
Riivolution
Bowsette patch files
Premade XML file to patch Bowsette in
Installation instructions:
1. Extract the contents of the Riivolution archive in the apps folder on
your SD card (make one if it
doesn't exist).
2. Make the following folders on the root directory of the SD card:
riivolution and nsmb
3. Extract the contents of the Bowsette patch files archive in the nsmb
folder on your SD card.
4. Extract the contents of the premade XML file in the riivolution
folder on your SD card.
Wii instructions:
1. Take the SD card from your PC and insert it into your Wii or Wii
U.
2. Power on your system, insert the New Super Mario Bros. Wii disc, and then
launch the Homebrew Channel.
3. In the Homebrew Channel menu, look for Riivolution and launch it. Insert your
disc if you haven't already, otherwise Riivolution will come up blank.
4. If you did everything above correctly, you should be under a tab that says
TESTING with an option underneath for Bowsette. Change the Bowsette option to
'Enabled,' and then select Launch (Install simply puts a Riivolution Channel on
your Wii Menu). You're all set! Bowsette should take Bowser's place in the final
level of World 8, complete with unique voices and movement.
Replace Boo with Boosette
Download this file and extract its contents into the nsmb folder of your SD card. Make sure the Bowsette mod is activated in Riivolution and voila! All Boos will be replaced with Boosette, and yes, this includes Giant Boos... thus creating a Giant Boosette! Thanks again to Arias87 for finding this.
